Economy Tire is the only place I take my car. They are honest and inexpensive and do excellent work.

On the Nextdoor site, I asked for help in finding a reasonable place to take my truck for repair. The majority of people who responded back recommended Economy Tire, and I was told to ask for Willie. I am very happy with the service.Its great to have a reputable automotive repair place so close in the neighborhood.

Unfortunately, I did not have the same pleasant experience as everyone else. Very polite, honest and upfront mechanics which is hard to find. However, the first time I was there to switch out 2 tires that had a nail too far out to patch and they switched the wrong tire on one so I had to go back. The next time, I asked for an oil change and a quick look and advise on an oil leak and they kept my car for over a full day and forgot the oil change. I noticed when I was already gone so I just took it elsewhere. They also rarely ever if ever pick up the phone. As I stated, I believe they are honest people, however not the most knowledgeable when it comes to more complicated things like the emmsions leak I had that another shop found in just a couple hours. Wish I could leave a better review, but this was my experience. My opinion is that theyd be great for very small jobs or routine work, but Id consider elsewhere for bigger tasks.

Great people and great service, you wont find a fairer or friendlier auto shop in Hartford county or maybe the whole state.

Willy always takes great care of my vehicles when I bring them in for service or repairs. It is a relief to find a mechanics shop that does good work, is honest and ethical, and has a pricing structure that wont leave you broke like a dealership does.

I was beyond pleased with the service and professionalism! I inquired online on Labor Day and was surprised when Willie called me on a holiday and walked me through the process of having vehicle towed and dropped off. He diagnosed my issue the next morning and had me back on the road! Fair price to boot! I will definitely be going back for future service and will recommend this shop to family and friends! Economy Tire is awesome. Last year my car started having some trouble on my way to work and I brought it to them on a recommendation. Even though I hadnt called ahead they still got my car fixed by the end of the day before I headed home from work. They were friendly, honest, and kept the price as low as possible! They are very friendly and professional and make it very easy to get your car in. Most importantly, they dont bombard you with things you need. Dont plan on any huge, unnecessary, bills. An honest mechanic? Yes! YES!!My story:Im up here from NC working. Just brought my heavy duty truck in for its first oil change. Then I walked across the street for breakfast (tangent -Sun and Moon Cafe makes a good bacon, egg, and cheese croissant sandwich and the strawberry donut was yum!).I walked back across the street and they waved me inside. Im having an uh oh moment. They tell me the full synthetic oil change would equal $140+. They wanted to get the go ahead, but they said I could wait another 1000+ miles if I wanted to wait. At that point I said the truck had free oil changes in NC. The master mechanic got on his computer and verified his previous statement. He then recommended I wait til I get home.They had checked fluid levels, etc. and sent me on my way and charged me nothing, zero, zilch. This is unheard of!!If the need arises Ill be back here. If you need an honest mechanic... GO HERE!!Thank you Economy Tire. You guys ROCK!!

Willie and Dave are so good. This one time my car smelled like death for a whole month and finally I took it in for an oil change. When I came back neither Dave nor Willie would look me in the eye and I knew what I suspected had happened had actually happened. A Baltimore sized rat had died in my engine compartment and cooked all summer. These awesome dudes took it out and changed my oil for me like it was no big deal. Willie and Dave are the BEST.

I called Economy after receiving an estimate from my dealer for several services that they claimed were necessary, including brakes. I was able to get an appointment the very next day with Willie. I provided him with the itemized estimate from the dealer upon dropping off my vehicle. Imagine my surprise when I received a call from him saying that not only did I not need ANY of the recommended services, but my brakes had a good 12,000 miles remaining. THIS WAS MY FIRST VISIT TO THIS SHOP! I am still in shock that an honest mechanic exists! I will be returning to Willie for all service, and am recommending him to anyone that will listen. What a find! Do yourself a favor and choose Economy!

Nine years ago the Army stationed us at Edgewood Arsenal/APG South and we needed an auto mechanic. Because of its convenient location, we tried Economy Tire. Willie immediately became our go to guy for any auto concerns. Now we live in Bel Air, but still take our vehicles to Economy Tire. We totally TRUST Willie, Dave and their staff to do quality work in a timely, professional manner. Just two weeks ago, Willie diagnosed the cause of our trucks unpredictable stalling. I stumbled upon Economy Tire four years ago when I needed a place convenient to work that could repair a hole in my tire. I was so impressed with the cost and service, I now take all my cars to them for routine maintenance, and anytime an issue pops up with my car. They also provide a break-down after services of what might need attention soon, to help you plan.

Aloha! Took my Tahoe last week because the engine light came on & was stalling at times. Willie & the awesome staff were very knowledgeable, friendly & accommodating! I got a next-day appointment. Went in at about 10am, told it would be about 45 minutes to an hour, waited in the lobby with their friendly secretary, was informed about everything that was being done (kudos!) & was out of there in about 40 minutes. Were military & fairly new here...so not knowing who to take our truck to was unsettling but thanks to the great reviews on Yelp & Google, in addition to the excellent service received last week, Economy Tires has earned a new customer :) Mahalo!

Economy service center is the ONLY place that I trust with my vehicle. The entire staff is absolutely wonderful and very knowledgable. Not to mention that they have you in and out! Thats always a plus. Looking forward to doing business with them again soon.

Ive been going to Economy Tire for at least 2 years now. Initially I went to a different place near my work, but my husband who went to economy tire due to several recommendations from friends and coworkers always raved about it. So I decided to switch over even though it was sometimes less convenient. Everyone here is super friendly and helpful, especially Willie and Debra. They helped me understand what needs to be done on my car in a very understandable way especially for someone who doesnt know much about cars. The pricing is also very reasonable. I also tend to wait for small services to my car such as oil changes and they have a small seating area. An additional plus is that they book appointments online which is great for me since its convenient and I dont like talking on the phone :)

Excellent small town garage. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They often come in under the estimated price quote, and their work has always been done well and sometimes even beyond expectations. Once or twice we had a very expensive estimate for a repair, and it turned out to be a simple cheap fix. We would have been none the wiser if they had charged us the full estimate. But they didnt. I also love that at every oil change, they also give us a heads up list of things they see that havent failed/worn out yet, but that will need to be addressed soon (tires, belts, etc) so we can budget and prepare. Honest and reliable, I reccomended Willie and this shop to everyone.

0 STARS. After making an appt for an MSI, they refused to look at my car and tell what is wrong. No explanation. No reason. The tech wouldnt even speak to me. Very unprofessional.The Only reason I could come-up with is that they dont know how to work on certain cars. And our to ashamed to admit it. 0 stars .

Always asks questions in order to establish the correct diagnosis and then providing a direct, straightforward and honest assessment of the problem. 9 out of 10 times providing a better cost estimate to solve the problem, thus causing me to always choose thier reliable and consistant work performance.
