Some nice people here. Went with my car that was flooded during recent hurricane and they handled it really well. They explained me everything and advised me to talk to insurance company again as the car had more issues than the insurance adjuster had inspected. They could have charged me anything as I dont know much about cars but they dint take advantage of me. Very friendly people. Going forward will always take my car to this center. Much recommended

I had no issues in this place. My first time coming here because I’m new to New Jersey and I would recommend this place. It has to change oil and tires! If you need anything fix Mr. tires is where to go.

The place is run by a young crew but does a good job. I bought an used car and I had to do the balance and alignment. Now, it feels so smooth... reasonable prices. I suggest to make an online appointment. It gets pretty busy. By the way, they are hiring!

Kenny did a great job on my Cadillac! He was very honest and I didnt feel as if I was being taken advantage of. Fast and efficient service as well as trustworthy. Definitely going back!

I do not recommend this location unless you want to be told things that has nothing to do with your service.I had went here because I kept losing air in one of my tires, I was recommended that I needed THREE NEW tires on my car that isn’t even 4 years old yet. I then asked what was the reason for me losing air and why did I need new tires when none of the others were giving issues. The mechanic seemed inexperienced and didn’t know the reason besides that my tires were “old”. I knew that was incorrect. Long story short. all he did was put air in all of the tires in which I could’ve done myself.I left them and went somewhere else. The new place were able to identify that a small nail was stuck in my tire and I wasn’t even told that I needed new tires. Problem solved!

Came in for a quick tire fix. I was in and out faster than I expected. Kenny the store manager was an outstanding professional who takes customer service to another level.

Have been here many times over a period of few years. In general I was OK with their service...until I had a repair for approx. $2000 (engine would not start). I drove the car less than a week and due to Covid I began working from home (no driving). After 2 or 3 weeks needed to drive and engine would not start. Went back, explained the above and that their repair did not fix the problem. They put the computer on the car and told me different codes are coming up and it would cost $270 to diagnose the problem. I asked them to diagnose for free since problem was not fixed. They refused saying the car started after they fixed it. Of course it did but to what avail if after less than 50 miles driving after their repair the engine would not start again. Stopped going here as I have given them a lot of business in the past and consider they were not good enough to identify the problem as well as decent enough to diagnose the car for free knowing their repair did not solve the problem. I think the managers name was Danny.

Explained the details of their promotion and gave me a great price for an oil change. There was a very friendly and personable staff there by the name of Max and Manny and the Crew did great. This will be my spot for new tires and other services in the near future...

2 young technicians worked on my car to mount tires on very high end performance rims. Had a nice chat with them and they worked on the rims and tires very carefully. Even the studs are torqued property as per BMW spec. I am very happy with their service.

Max helped me get a transmission fluid flush back in March. Coming back for oil changes and tires for sure. Friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Had an appointment to get my 35 inch tires installed on my Jeep Wrangler. The guy at the counter looks at my car and says $35 a tire. Sure, that’s how much I normally pay. I then ask for an alignment and he says their alignment has gone up in price to $125. Okay, a bit expensive but sure. He then goes to the back and returns to say his manager says the price of installing the tires has gone up to $60 PER tire because of the size of the tire. Are you kidding me? Nearly double the price? $240 to install tires?I’ve installed 35 inch tires several times before and they have NEVER been $60 a tire. They definitely seemed like they were making prices up on the spot to see how much they can get out of me. Such a terrible customer experience. I would stay away. I went to another tire shop and installed my tires for $35 a tire and alignment for $80.

This is a great little tire shop with a friendly, knowledgeable staff. Competitive prices, quick service and they are open on Sundays!

While we came in for a new tire, once our car was on the lift, the mechanic showed us that the cross member of our car was almost completely rusted/corroded through. We could have had a catastrophic accident! We will remain forever grateful for this mechanic seeing this! Thank you!!!

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE.Terrible customer service and unreliable repairs.*All 5-star reviews on Facebook and Google may be fake and unreliable. They have a sign in this establishment that promises a $10 discount for anyone who leaves a “5 Star Review.” Of course people will do anything like leave a simple 5 star review for cheap service and free money. Beware of any positive reviews.Please PM for a full review (it doesnt fit here due to character spaces.. review is also on Facebook and Yelp).Long story short, I brought my van in to get its brakes replaced the day before. What they promised would take 1-2 hours took the full next day (9am-6pm). When they promised tax exemption the day before, they almost didnt allow it the next day when I paid. Upon receiving the van, I found there to be greasy hand marks all over the side of the van, and the van started making weird noises coming from the brakes and suspension area. The employees were very rude and unapologetic.

Got a nail in my tire on my way home, I googled Mr. Tire Auto Center and saw their great reviews. I gave them a call and to my surprise a very pleasant voice answered her name was Eileen. She told me stop by and once there she greeted me very warmly and the guys took care of my car right away. No exaggeration under 15 minutes in and out. Greatly appreciated.

The staff was friendly and personable, however I found the prices to be very high.I was charged nearly $800 for a new radiator and thermostat. The radiator is no more than a twenty minute job. The thermostat is a little more difficult to replace because of its location, however it should have not taken any more than 1 or 2 hours maximum. The parts total no more than $120.I called the shop that I usually go to (I did not go to my usual shop because it was a weekend and they were not opened) and they said I should have been charged any more than $400-$500.I basically feel as though this shop stole $250.00 from me.I can only imagine how many people get taken advantage of and are over charged.I will NOT be returning to Mr. Tire in Edison.I gave 3 stars because the staff was courteous and I want to give a fair rating.EDITED: June 27, 2019: I almost basically only drive this car on the highway to/from work. Yesterday I happened to get stuck in traffic and I notice the car overheating when in traffic and at lights.Not only was I overcharged but now I am questioning if all of the work that I paid for was actually completed and/or done properly.

Great shop with great employees the store manager Tariq was very helpful with all my questions and took care of me right away. The technician JP made sure my car got the oil change it needed as well as point out that my brakes were getting worn and that I should change them soon. Both never pressured me into feeling like I had no choice but to get them unfortunately I couldnt get them but will be back. I strongly recommend this location for anything for a vehicle.

This place is amazing, I went in to get my oil changed and I was not there for long at all. They even talked to me about tire pressure because I have no idea about any of that stuff. The staff was very polite and respectful the whole entire time, they even make conversation while you sit and wait. I give this place a whole 5 stars and will be back if I ever need my car fixed again.

Mr. Tire has been nothing but great! All my car issues have been solved quickly and at a great price! I would highly recommend the mechanics. They were very polite, listened patiently and worked out all my concerns. I have used Mr.Tire for an oil change and tire rotation/wheel balancing. I would definitely go back there again!

Ive been coming to Mr. Tire on 280 U.S. Highway 1 in Edison, NJ for a couple of years now ever since I had some repair issues & experienced some serious attitude problems with some of the employees at PepBoys, also in Edison. I usually come in for oil change, tire rotation, & any other mechanical problems I have. I have not once been disappointed! Employees here have always been very helpful & very honest. They will not try to mislead you in any way. If you think there is something wrong with the car, they will be honest with you.I like their warranty policy on tires. Ive had several of my tires replaced at Mr. Tire since I work in a neighborhood where the roads are in very poor condition, Ive had a lot of tire problems (as many as 5 flat tires in 1 year). Yes, its crazy I know! I have pretty much become an expert in handling flat tire problems, although I dont change them myself. I take the car to Mr. Tire!The very first time I came to Mr. Tire is when I showed up announced (without an appointment or calling them first) close to closing time, because my tire was flat. I was trying to just get home, but I ended up at this location in Edison. They took care of my tire right away.I also had some brake light issues & I also took my car to them as well.. My most recent problem, was my plastic cover which came off the belly of the vehicle close to the rear tires. I showed up in their driveway after calling them & they fixed it, no charge!I highly recommend Mr. Tire at this location! I cant speak for other locations because this is the only one Ive gone to since it is conveniently located close to my house & if there is a problem, I can just drop it off & walk home if I need to.

I called to make an appointment for 2pm, got there at 1:40 just to find out that they don’t honor appointment times. I was told that it would be an hour wait.

My tire had been running low so I brought it to Mr. Tire. Turns out there was a nail in it. The staff was friendly and efficient. Eileen was extremely helpful and I was driving away nail free before the end of the day. Highly recommended!

I wanted to do the wheel realignment and balancing before starting our long road trip from New Jersey to Orlando. They guy on the counter said, they will first check if its needed in the first place. After checking, the technician decided that the realignment is not required and they charged me a very reasonable amount for checking and the basic maintenance of the tires. They could have easily charged me full amount without doing any work. I like their fair business ethics. I would highly recommend them.

I always drove by Mr. Tires and got coupons in mail but never checked it out. Online showed good reviews as well. I recently needed tires badly with an oil change and noticed they opened up real early before most of these other tire places. I went in and service was fast and efficient with great customer service. No complaints here. Highly recommend and will be going back.

Honest and friendly guys here. They changed tires on two of my cars already. One of my cars has extremely wide low profile race tires that took them longer than usual to install and did not charge me for extra labor. I recommend to anyone who needs tires replaced

Great repair shop. Outstanding customer service!! Will be back for all future repairs and maintenance on my car. I had a costly repair that was definitely a safety issue thanks to the guys upfront Danny and Nick they were able to work with me and even offer 6 months no interest financing!

After work I went to my car and noticed a HUGE bubble on one of my tires! On the way home I called Mr. Tire of Edison and spoke to Nick. I explained my situation to Nick because I knew the location closed at 7pm and it was almost 5:30pm. Nick took the time over the phone to see if he had a tire in stock for me and assured me he would take care of me! I am HAPPY to say Nick saved the day for me and I am safe to drive home!! A 15 œil change took me 45 minutes. Too long time too much chit-chat. The mechanic guy didnt set up my computer to let me know when i have to change the oil again. I dont know what I pay 70 dollars for.

I stopped in for a quote. I didnt buy however my decision had nothing to do with the Manager on duty. He was thorough.

First time, change oil for less than 25 dollars and every thing works perfect.Second time, change oil for another car, replace rear brake pads. Still working now. Will update after I got the car back.All the guys I met there are very friendly. I could ask a lot, they will explain everything, even though I could understand only a little. Even better, I could ask for special offers! Cheaper than regular price with coupons. Hope the quality is as good as their services. Will update if I got any problem.[20181122] Got new rear brakes and new engine oil. Seems they finally fixed my engine oil leak. Its a problem of the pressure switch, which no body figured out before. Working like a charm now.

After comparing prices for tire change in this area. Mr. Tire here in this location has the best price. The manager, Gary is so helpful and friendly. He helped me and took his time to check the best price for me.Actually, after calling about 5-6 of other car shops. He was the only person willing to offer me the best compatible price. Stopped in because I blew out a tire I put my spare on and that blew out instantly when I started driving Nick made me aware that whatever I hit originally to cause my blowout bent my strut and even took me out to the shop and showed me what had to be replaced needless to say he had me and my car back on the road in no time. It was very Pleasant doing business with Nick I will be back for all my repairs. I highly recommend them great team and awesome customer service!!

I felt I was being scammed. The guy said the tires were $145.00 each. Buy 3 and get the 4th one free. I said great . He said that will be $840.00 or $850.00 something dollars. When I questioned the math, he said well you have to buy our package that includes wheel alignment, free flat tire repair,and things I had no use for. I never heard of the tires before. I walked out and went to tire barn and got a fair deal.

Fifth vehicle here getting tires. The techs checked each vehicle out, gave recommendations on each vehicle and let me know if there were any major safety issues. Any additional work was done right and they answered any questions I had. Great crew. Glad that old store manager Gary is gone.

Came in on a Sat morning when they opened after working a 12 hour shift i was exhausted. They couldn’t do my oil change immediately but said to go home go to sleep and come when i woke up, they would take me right in, and they did exactly what they said...excellent service and the Manager Eileen was great..

They helped me out when I dropped in out of the blue because my car was having trouble on the highway. Both guys I dealt with were friendly and everything was taken care of quickly and professionally.

After an emergency mechanism failure while driving on route 1, I rolled into their parking lot at 7:23am. They dropped everything to help me get rolling again. I could not be more appreciative and indebted. They are truly customer oriented and dedicated. I know my unplanned repair screwed up their schedule but they responded with a smile and reassurance. Highly recommend them for scheduled and unscheduled repairs.

Service was great and I didnt have to wait in a long line or schedule an appointment unlike other places. I replaced my tire and the price was actually pretty great. I will continue to go to Mr Tire for further services in the future because they are quick and convenient

Brought my wifes Lexus RX350 to the dealership in Edison and they wanted $1100 for front and rear pads and rotors. Called up Mr Tire and they offered to put it on the lift as a walk in with no appointment to examine the brakes for free. They brought me into the shop to show me the wear on the rotors and the thickness of the pads. Priced out new brakes with ceramic pads (including lifetime warranty) and had me out the door in an hour or so for less than half of what Lexus quoted me.Highly recommended!

The best mechanic shop I found in a long time. Honest too. Cant find that anywhere. John the shop manager was on top of everything told me everything about my SUV and if I ask a question, I got answer quickly. Not that ummm ummm ummm stuff. They will take care of your problems in a timely manner. Im still shocked. Ill definitely be back.

Store manager Gary is extremely rude. He will shout at customers when they inquire about the service. While making appointment on phone, he will quote a price. But when you go to dropoff the car in the store and confirms the price, he will say a higher price for the same service. Before picking up my car last time, I asked them if they had check tire pressure, they say yes. Next day, my car had flat tire. And when I went to another mechanic for flat tire repair, he mentioned that looking at other tires...it seems the air was not filled. Now this create doubt if the service that I gave my car for was even done properly. Not recommended!

My husband and I were on our way out of town and all of a sudden, our tire started losing pressure. We managed to make it to Mr. Tire, and they were kind enough to patch it with no charge. So many car places overcharge for services, but we have been nothing but happy with our experience with them and always take our cars in to have them looked at there.

I could not recommend this place more or speak highly enough of Mr. Tire in Edison and the great team there.I know quite a bit about cars and do all my own work with the exceptions of operations requiring specific machines (alignments, tire install w/ balancing etc.), that said i love these guys! Gary and the crew do great work and take pride in their work. The most important thing to look for, and the hardest to find when looking for auto mechanic is honesty, I have NEVER even gotten even a comment out of them insinuating there is something wrong that was actually fine. These guys do the work that needs to be done and thats it. They treat everyone with the same respect.I purchased a set of Yokohama tires for my Xterra here and they let me know i needed to replace my wheel bearings and they waited to do the alignment until I had gone home and taken care of the bearings, they did great work at a great price.In terms if price they are great! I just made a mistake and found what I thought was a great deal for tires on tire rack for my Titan and I purchased them and had them sent to Gary at Mr. Tire because I trust them for the install. Gary gave me a call and told me he could beat the price but unfortunately it was too late because they had already shipped. But I will never make that mistake again, checking with Gary first from now on and will be back there before next winter with my girlfriends Altima. Gary tells you what you need and nothing more, after dealing with liars and scam artists for years and me luckily being knowledgeable enough to notice it feels great to finally let my guard down and trust a shop!New equipment and can do much more then just tires, give them a call mo matter what you need done and see what they say first! you wont regret it!
