I would give my experience 10 stars if allowed. i was hesitant to go into a car dealership, not wanting to deal with an overly aggressive sales person and haggling. Especially since i had sometime before my current lease was up. Right from the beginning Quinn made me feel comfortable and at ease. He was transparent with prices, fees, and timeline. He is very enthusiastic about the brand. I think he was more excited for us than we were! The car came in 6 weeks faster than we thought and helped me surprise my wife with a bow and all! Had an amazing experience at Mini Edison. I stopped by on Wednesday to check out a car and I fell in love with it. Jake the salesperson was very easy to deal with and made sure that all of my questions were answered. The process was extremely pleasant and smooth.I picked up the car the day after. I went there to service my mini, George was extremely knowledgeable and kept me in the loop play by play as to what was happening with my car. He made sure that I was always updated with information as to what was happening. I did not have an appointment but after hearing the issue I had he made sure that I got my car into service. In the end I ended up purchasing a new car from them. Omar was the nicest, most respectful, and professional salesman I have ever dealt with in my entire life. He was so friendly I felt like I was buying a car from a lifelong friend. I am so happy with my clubman and I am thankful for the team at Open Road Mini ! He gave me a great deal way under my budget! Was all set to buy my wife a surprise when I found out they charge $1295 fees to “get the car ready for sale” and another $1000 because I was paying cash. I’m not sure how this is legal, but I let MINI corporate know and they seemed upset that I won’t be purchasing another JCW because of the tactics of this dealer.

I purchased a 2019 Acura TLX here. Ive been looking for a car for weeks.After dealing with the bait and switch from other dealers I decided to expand my search. I found the exact model I wanted with all the features I wanted here at Mini of Edison.Lawrence was who I was in contact with. Im from NH so tried to get as much done remote as possible. Lawrence made it super easy. I requested that my application be ran through one bank, and he did exactly that. He was very transparent on fees and etc.When I got there, nothing changed. The #s matched what he told me and no one tried selling me on something else. The trip from NH was well worth it. Ive very happy with how everything went. Can you actually LIKE buying a new car?? The answer, of course, is it depends on where you go. MINI of Edison is probably one of the very few places where buying a new car is easy, stress free and ACTUALLY FUN! Looking at all of the great options and cute accessories is part of the whole MINI experience. John and Lawrence were OUTSTANDING!! You can tell that they really know their stuff and are oh so helpful. While this isnt my first MINI, it is my first NEW MINI. They were so patient in explaining every detail to me and my mom (who is originally from Oxford, England). From bonnet to boot I feel like I couldnt have had this experience anywhere else. EVERYONE at the dealership was super friendly and helpful. I just cant say enough but wanted to let EVERYONE know that if you are looking at a MINI..... COME HERE!! And... MINI owners.... PLEASE WAVE when you drive by. ITS A RULE!!!!!

Great new-car buying experience at Mini of Edison! Quinn Roberts (sales), Lawrence (the boss behind the desk), were both extremely easy and pleasant to deal with. No pressure. Lots of enthusiasm. Both men were down to earth, authentic, respectful, patient, and accommodating. Quinn injected fun into the experience with his personality and interesting stories.The resulting new car and trade-in deals we struck were aligned with my research about market pricing, and left both sides happy. It didnt take a lot of awkward back and forth to arrive at those amounts. Everything was transparent and there were no surprising fees. Questions I had were truly heard, and answers were thoughtful and fair.The level of attention and respect remained constant after I signed.And what dealership puts the sales desk right next to the service desk where buyers can hear all of the service conversations before signing? I suspect a dealership that has great service, and from what I overheard, that does appear to be the case.It was definitely worth driving to Edison for this kind of experience!

There was something wrong with my online order. I had to go through several phone calls with different person in charge. They were all very polite and tried to put the customers interest first. I eventually got my order. The team is in charge of online shopping went above and beyond to help me with my order. I am very satisfied with their diligence and hard work ( Justin had been very helpful with excellent customer services). My in store experience wasnt really pleasant. I waited in line for about 15 mins, only realized that the person in front of me is actually store staff chatting with the one working behind the window. Then I was given the wrong item and when pointing it out, I was being lectured.One bad customer impression can easily wipe out all the hard works the rest of the team have done. I could have bought my car in this place, if I hadnt been turned down for the first time.I highly recommend the online shopping department of this place.

Stopped in on a whim and could not be happier with our choice. Jake and Kal were absolutely fantastic to deal with. Never felt rushed or pressured. Jake is extremely knowledgeable and patient - took the time to see that I found the right vehicle for the right price and made it a point to show me how to use all of its features. I had a good experience purchasing the vehicle (Mini Cooper Countryman 2022) but have been consistently having problems with the windshield wiper streaking on the screen. Made several trips to Service (taken time off from work, incurred expenses for tolls and gas) but the exact problem has still not been sorted. I keep having to go back for the same issue and that has been a VERY frustrating experience. Deeply disappointed.

I just had the most easy and professional experience leasing a new 2021 MINI Convertible from MINI of Edison. No non-sense in the best way possible. They were straight to the point and seemed genuinely interested getting me the best deal they could. They even helped me get out of my Subaru Forester which I still owed quite a bit of money on . Outstanding customer service. I was able to complete 90% of my MINI lease online because of COVID. Lawrence made it so easy and explained everything along the way. I recently inquired about a 2012 Mini Cooper S 6 speed online priced at $11,498, and have received several responses from Hiram over the past few weeks. My inquiry led me to what Im noticing is now a glitch in their system where they accidently showed the bloated fees they charge for a PO vehicle including: $1,300 reconditioning, $400 window etching (people still do this?!), and $800 doc fee. Obviously I will not be reaching out to them again after the added $2,500 in ridiculous fees. Is it any wonder dealerships are going extinct and folks are leaning towards online purchases? Even if the online dealers add these fees in, they make sure they are minimal enough so the consumer barely sees this reflection in the price. Id provide warning to antiquated in-person dealerships, but their ego is so bloated as their pricing reflects that they wouldnt listen or understand the warnings. Someone uneducated in dealership numbers will purchase these vehicles and fall prey to the price gouging. If you are thinking of contacting these folks, Id shy away and check out Carvana/Vroom/CarMax, etc.Updated response from dealership below: Doesnt explain the need to charge $1,300 to clean the vehicle or make the vehicle road legal before sale, or the archaic window etching, or bloated doc fee. Again, avoid them and go elsewhere.

We gave Mini of Edison a perfect rating because the experience was just superb. We took delivery of our new Mini Cooper (JCW) last week, and we throughly enjoyed working with Brian Dixon. He is knowledgeable, understood our requirements and also a very friendly person to work with. Lawrence and Brian worked with us to get a good deal and locate the exact car we wanted (which was in production). Lawerence was really patient with us and constantly updated us on the status of our car from production till delivery. They both made our entire experience great.I am extremely happy with the finance guy, Jake. The finance process was seamless and Jake did not pressure us to purchase any of the additional services (ex: tire and wheel, car protections). I just had custom stripes put on my 2020 MINI Countryman at MINI of Edison. They made it so easy. Everyone was super friendly and eager to help. They were very busy, but I didnt have to wait at all. My appointment was at 10:00 and I got there a few minutes before then. Everyone was waiting for me and ready to start. They even started a few minutes early. Looks like everyone working there was wearing a mask inside and social distancing. I waited in their lounge while they got to work. They were done in about 40 minutes. AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME!!! Don’t go anywhere else to buy a car! We just bought a 2020 bmw x2 with only 14k miles from the “handsome redhead” that’s what he said to call him lol! He was amazing as well as the finance manager. Top notch customer service! They have an amazing collection of bmw’s, Audi’s and other cars, along with lovely Mini’s. Top notch you cannot go wrong here. We had been searching for the right car for 3 mths. Pushy salesmen, nasty salesmen and others that would just throw numbers off the top of their heads. Frustrating. Tony and his service department are just outstanding. I brought my MINI to them with a stalling problem that two other dealerships could not correct. Each diagnosed it with something different. Tony was recommended to me by a friend who owns a 2016 BMW. He was the only one that was able to correct a similar problem he had with his X3 a few years ago. Tarik, George and Tony were very professional and helpful. I appreciate honesty and transparency when it comes to subjects that I have limited experience. Car repairs is one of them. All three gentleman took the time to explain the needed and recommended repairs in a way that was easy to understand. They showed me a short video of the undercarriage of my MINI while a technician narrated what I was looking at. I was very impressed by the video and their professionalism. While I did not agree to complete all of the repairs at this time, I will definitely be back in six months to see if any of these conditions worsened and will reevaluate then. I drove almost 2 hours after searching high and low for the perfect Mini Cooper. I knew I’d find it once I called Mini of Edison and spoke to Justin. He was gracious and accommodating and assured me he and his team would put me in the car I wanted at the right price. He wasn’t wrong!When I arrived Manny was kind enough to show me around; they had the cars we’d discussed lined up and ready to review. Lawrence in finance worked with Justin to put me at a payment I was comfortable with. I would love to thank Dawn Morgan and the team at Mini of Edison for an absolutely amazing experience. I arrived at their dealership unscheduled today after months of bad experience after bad experience in my search for a new vehicle. I have been driving GMC Yukon XLs for the past 15 years and wanted to scale down the size of my vehicle to accommodate my 2 new up and coming teen drivers. I made this clear to every dealership that I visited but found all of the salesman at a slew of different brands very unknowledgeable about their own vehicles. Even though Dawn was knocking off when I ran across her, she was happy to be more than informative about the Mini Brand and all of the options available to me in their Countryman model. She did such a wonderful job that I left their dealership today with my brand new (and Im sure first of many) Mini Countryman! Needless to say, Dawn stayed with me to the bitter end, only passing me off to her warm and friendly associate Jeffrey Berger to finalize my documentation. This was truly a wonderful experience and I cant wait to not only tell everyone about the wonders Ive discovered in my new car, but about the wonderful sales associates and beautiful facility at Mini of Edison. Side Note - not that this is important to everyone, but my son, who had skipped lunch to accompany me, was thrilled at the beautiful spread of snacks, bagels, and beverages available for him to keep his hunger at bay while I shopped...very nice touch!

I can’t even describe how amazing my experience was with the service department at MINI of Edison. My family has owned 5 MINIs and this was by far the greatest experience I’ve had with a dealership. My John Cooper Works coupe was experiencing a strange rattling sound when accelerating and we could not figure out what it was. Tarik from service was so dedicated to finding the issue he went with me on a few drives and went down all avenues to diagnose the problem. The dedication on his end was unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Other dealerships would have simply said they couldn’t find the problem and gave up. Again, that was so far from the case with my car. They definitely earned a life long customer and Ill be telling everyone I know with MINIs and in MINI clubs to go to them!Thanks again Tarik!

Bait and Switch. Dont waste your time. They advertised on TrueCar a 2020 Mini Countryman S ALL4 for $24k, but when I called they said it was sold and tried to sell me two others of the same model with higher mileage for $5k more each. Also, there are $2k of suspicious dealer fees. Waste of time.

This is my second MINI from MINI of Edison. My first lease three years ago was my first experience with any MINIs. I instantly fell in love with them and with Robert at MINI of Edison. After my lease was up, I came back to MINI of Edison and worked with Justin. He was just as fantastic as Robert and helped me find my next baby. Ive always had a great experience here even through my service (aka spa) appointments. Tony, the new service manager is just great. He took the time to introduce himself and show me some new things the dealership was doing. I can now see a video of my babys spa treatment!! I cant wait to bring her back when she needs her first oil change so I can get a video.

BAIT & SWITCH -- BUYER BEWARE!!I wasnt originally going to leave a review, but since my sleazeman, Igor, had the audacity to contact me today about leaving him a review, I figured I may as well share my experience in hopes of preventing others from falling into the same trap. I was on the hunt for a BMW X3, and found a good looking example at Open Road Mini in Edison. I live in Albany, NY, approximately 3 hours from this dealership, but was willing to make the trip for the right vehicle. The online posting for the car stated the vehicle had low miles and all of the packages I was looking for in my X3. Upon arriving at the dealership, much to my surprise the vehicle had nearly 7,000 miles more on the odometer than advertised, and did not have heated seats as Igor had promised. After making these deficiencies known, and sleazeballs Igor and Alex realizing they had me by the balls being that I traveled 3 hours to be there, they would not budge on the price past the $1000 off we negotiated on the phone prior to my arrival. When I went to sign the paperwork, I was immediately surprised that the finance manager adds a mandatory $600 line item document fee for third party GAP COVERAGE, and will state that all dealerships do this due to the high rate of car theft in NJ, which has nothing to do with me, being that I live 3 hours away in NY. They will not allow you to decline this coverage. This dealer pulled a bait and switch on me. To make matters worse, the vehicle was not detailed prior to delivery and over the following days of ownership I began to notice details like the tow hook cover had been replaced, but was unpainted. The service staff must have tried to fit a MINI brand tow hook cover on this BMW, because when taken to my local BMW dealership for a rattle, they found a mini towhook cover in the front bumper. Save yourselves the trouble, go somewhere else. These crooks deserve to be out of business.

I have bought a few cars and this was by far the nicest experience. Omar was an amazing sale person! He was amazing, knowledgeable, real and honestly I felt like he was my friend by the end. Everyone was friendly and welcoming but never pushy. I would buy a car from Omar again in a minute. Bill in their finance department was respectful of a budget and I never felt I comfortable. I decided to treat my wife to a MINI Cooper that she has always wanted. MINI of Edison had the perfect little blue MINI that she has been talking about for year. I was able to do all of my research and pricing online with the help of Justin. He was very helpful guiding me through the website, the pricing, and all of the taxes and fees. After some light discussion, I left him a deposit over the phone an arranged to pick up the car today. Justin made sure all of the paperwork was ready and that the car was spotless. He even threw in a little gift for my wife. I absolutely appreciate being able to get most of this done over the phone and through email. I work until late most evenings and dont have the change to take days off often to go negotiate buying a car. MINI of Edison made the whole process effortless and clear. Thanks Justin! This place is great! Kevin and I were checking out the cars on the lot for about 15-20 minutes before one of the car salesmen came out. Justin was very nice, thoughtful and laid back. This is important to us as my husband is Deaf. Justin saw that having a great disposition and eye contact was very important to us. Justin took his time talking about the car and the test drive was cool.Bill is the man who works magic with the numbers knowing I needed to be as close to my monthly payment as possible.Jake is the one to put all the paperwork together while we hung out in the comfy, spacious lounge. What a horrible experience. Take your money elsewhere! I worked with the service department where it was determined my Mini Countryman needed a new transfer case for the transmission.My father was a mechanic so I knew this job would not be cheap.I was quoted approximately $4700 - I also knew that was way out of bounds.I immediately made calls to other service departments including Mini of Monmouth where I was quoted a reasonable price right off the bat for almost $1200 less.After exhausting negotiations -they finally agreed to price work competitivelyWHY NOT GIVE ME APPROPRIATE PRICE TO BEGIN WITH instead of over $1000 price up?The work was completed and I went to retrieve my car.While not expected, It sure is nice when a dealership goes above and beyond especially in my situation where they had overpriced the work on my car by aprox $1000 and I was already feeling anxious, disappointed, and annoyed -Nope! They didn’t bother to give my car back to me washed, vacuumed, or pampered in any way.And, that’s fine. But, coming from a luxury dealership, after several days of negotiating and frustration, and outright attempts to scam me out of over $1000, it sure would have been nice.I want to add that they completely messed up paperwork for financing this repair. Money was pulled out of my account that should never have been -They replaced appropriate amount taken, but not without more anxiety and trouble for me.*Stay away from their service department, I see overprice is a trend on these reviews.I forgot to add during the diagnostic they recommended an oil change.I had an oil change the day before the car was brought in to their dealership.- SHOCKING overprice on auto repair- Incompetent completion of necessary paperwork- Poor customer service/communication.

My daughter has gotten service here for her old mini cooper countryman on multiple occasions and never had any issues. She purchased a 2020 mini cooper from this dealership this past weekend and could not have been more pleased. She LOATHES car shopping but the gentlemen at Mini of Edison went above the call of duty to help her get exactly what she wanted. Great first service experience. Had a nail in one tire (i thought) and was almost due for oil change. Easily made an appointment online, greeted by friendly Ashley at the service counter. Check in process was a breeze as they scan the key fob for all the vehicle info. chilled out in the waiting area with free coffee and bagels. Before I knew it, service was complete and not only did the mechanic fix the one tire he did an inspection of all the tires and found another nail in a different tire!!! Great job by the mechanic, Im sorry i dont remember his name. I will definitely continue to service my Mini here. Thank you and keep up the good work!!!
