Sales person VJ and his manager Robert were awesome ! We recently bought a new HR-V from them, and they made the whole process very clear and pleasant right from the start, and the whole experience was very smooth, painless, and stress-free. They were both very professional and knowledgeable. VJ worked hard to get us the best deal possible, he was very attentive and informative, and he efficiently covered everything to get us out the door with a new car just within few hours. Thank you VJ and Robert for a great service of above and beyond ! I recommend them both !

This review is about the service department, not the sales department. I believe my assigned advisor, Mira, lied to me about the condition of my vehicle during what should have been a routine oil change. I was told by Mira that the mechanic working on my car said that the coolant was low and the brake fluid was extremely dirty and recommended flushing and replacing both. She also kept trying to recommend a wheel alignment which I had already told her I did not need when I dropped the car because I had that done elsewhere recently. This should have been a warning to me to not agree to the other services. After I paid for the work, I looked at the receipt and paperwork, which included the 21 point inspection. The inspection found all the fluids were at acceptable levels and that no additional work was recommended. Mira lied to me over the phone to convince me to get work that was not needed, increasing my bill to over $500. I cannot believe such a supposedly reputable dealer would lie and pressure their customers to get unnecessary work. This violates any sense of trust between a customer and the business. I will never get routine service work done here again and will tell all my friends the same. DO NOT TRUST THIS DISHONEST & DECEPTIVE BUSINESS!

My car flooded in the last storm we had so I needed a car ASAP. Needless to say I was very stressed trying to find another car especially with a car shortage right now. When I went to Open Road Honda in Edison, Eric Gomez helped me. I told him what I was looking for and he was able to find exactly what I needed and in the budget I had. When you think of dealerships you automatically know your whole day is gone but he made it a quick, stress free, and pleasant experience. I was in and out within a few hours. Be careful with this dealership. They say that they participate in the Costco Auto Program, but when I got there they sat me down, showed me the Costco invoice - everything was in order, but we asked to see the car. My wife and I waited by the door for the salesperson to bring the keys and when he returned he said you arent going to believe this, but someone just bought the car. They obviously had zero intention of selling the car at that price. I have owned 3 Pilots in the past (and one Fit) - all purchased from Madison Honda. Madison Honda did not participate in the Costco Auto Program, but I called them for pricing anyway and they told me that the Pilots are being sold at a premium. I dont have problem with that because they were being honest (and didnt waste my time). I cant say that for Open Road.

I just bought my first car and my experience at the Open Road Honda was wonderful! I went to at least 3 Honda dealerships before coming to Open Road Honda and at each one I was told extremely different prices. The moment I walked in I was greeted and felt like I was going to get a good deal. The sales representative I dealt with was Besnik; super knowledgeable about the cars, explained all of the details, and was helpful finding my dream car. SO HAPPY! I was referred to this dealership, and am very happy I went.Hector was super nice, went above and beyond, and the whole process was super easy. Stanley was wonderful and made sure I was informed and happy with all. I LOVE my new car, got in and out, with the car, same day, and couldnt be happier. Over the two years Ive had to deal with this terrible dealer, they have given me nothing but stress. Buying the car took over 4 hours (I missed a concert I was planning on going to). I was extremely pressured to purchase extra insurance, which two years later, the dealer refused to fulfill.They routinely ignore phone call, planning service takes weeks, and forbid you need a recall, they take months to get the part in stock.Of all the car dealerships Ive dealt with, Honda has actually been the worst company (although my 2019 Insight is a good car).The customer service is dismal, the professionalism is non-existent, and I look forward to getting my insurance refund and never having to deal with these racketeers again.

I don’t wish any single mom with a high pressure job with a time limit to go into any car dealership!!! What you are going to find are sharks that descend on you. It is the scariest situation ever, that is what happen to me and I was petrified. Then I went to Open Road Honda in Edison and met Erik Gomez and I was blessed to have him help me in a highly professional and sincere manner. Hi, I have been having worst experience with this dealer . Have a leased car and they have sold me warranty . When I tried to use the warranty I came to know there is no warranty exists. As I understood later that Dealer missed to buy warranty whereas he is charging me every month for it. I was told I Will get the refund but there is no communication or refund for the whole 3 years as they missed to create warranty order with their partners. have been reaching out to this dealer (in person, email,Call) but not successful.

This is a review of the service department not the sales area. The service here is excellent. Mira is really friendly and helpful as an advisor. They don’t try to sell you stuff you don’t want or need and when they work on your car they keep it super clean. I have even had an issue one time with the pan guard on my odyssey and they fixed it with apologies and no cost. I will use them as long as I drive a Honda. Now a brief comment on sales:Sales division is not my favorite part of Open Road but if he available ask for Stanley Moe. He is an honest trustworthy salesperson.

There is a worker in the Certified Used car office by the name Ajay K., and he is an absolute superstar at what he does! He is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and overall just a great guy to talk to. During the whole time, he was understanding, transparent, and never once tried to B.S. me which created a very comfortable atmosphere. He is willing to work with you so that you find the best car you are looking for, for the best price. Ive dealt with salespeople in the past and Ajay is definitely a different breed for the better. I had the pleasure of dealing with Erik Gomez on my recent purchase of a new Honda Passport. I was in an extremely difficult position as my insurance company totaled my prior vehicle due to water damage from Hurricane IDA even though it was still driveable. I was under pressure as I had only 2 days to find a replacement as I was going on vacation a few days after the salvage company picked up my car. Erik did not pressure me like the salesman at other dealerships because of the current shortage of new & used cars due to delivery issues caused by Covid-19. He was extremely helpful answering all my questions, showing me a ton of the vehicles features making the experience an enjoyable one. I put down a deposit to hold the vehicle until I could return from vacation (almost 2 weeks after my test drive) & get the settlement proceeds from insurance. I did not have a way to get to dealer since as I had no car upon my return from vacation, so he was nice enough to come to my house on Monday to bring me to the dealer to complete the paperwork, make the down payment (from the insurance proceeds deposited in my bank the week I was away) & pick up my new car. He also helped set up a lot of the tech features on the car before I drove it off the lot this past Monday. He has also answered numerous questions the past few days and directing me to Hondas website to answer questions not covered in the quick reference owners manual that came with the car. I was also able to request written copies of the full 607 page Owners Manual & 127 page Navigation Manual. In short, Erik made my difficult situation a lot easier & I was able to thoroughly enjoy my vacation knowing I would be coming home with a new car the day after I returned from vacation.

We normally buy Honda with a lot of truest, I also with the same assumptions. I have taken Honda CRV just around 3.8 years back . and just in this much time my car AC stopped working and they needed to repair to fix it. it cost me approx $1100 . There is not a single rebate or off for just 18 miles on this. In future I may never buy Honda better to go for companies who is having better long time coverage. I am not satisfied with Honda and AC system. which stop working so soon. You keep calling customer service they rarely response. I think I have done big mistakes to go there perhaps I should get better and cheaper service outside some places.

Review of the service dept. This place is very unprofessional. I brought my car in for an oil change and when the car was returned part of the leather was ripped off my manual stick shift. I complained to the rep and she seemed annoyed that I was complaining and then tried to get the manager who was nowhere to be found. I had to leave so she took pictures and told me the manager would call back. Has been over a week and no call back... there was also a note left in my car on quality of service issues should be reported to the head of this dealership. Tried calling that number and no one picks up. This is the kind of service Id expect from a local repair shop not a national supposedly reputable dealership. Never going back here again! Stay away!

We had our car serviced recently. The work was done well but one thing we noticed was that we were not notified of the completion of the job until much later when my wife inquired about it. It was a long wait and it would have helped Open Road being cognizant of their customers waiting. All in all the work was well done and very professionally handled.

Would recommend the service center, have gone here at least 5 times, they have always done a good job, you don’t need an appointment mon-fri, only complaint is that it is rather expensive and sometimes they suggest extra nice to haves (like new windshield wipers) that aren’t really necessary. But they have been honest in not replacing things like brakes/tires before they have actually worn down, so I trust them a bit more

I purchased a Honda CR-V. Open Road provided the best price by over a $1000 after negotiating online with 3 other dealers. This price was given online without any need to negotiate. My only complaint was that when we got to the dealer to purchase, there were dealer installed options that were not provided in the online price quote although it was stated in the fine print that it did not include any dealer installed options. These options were things that we didnt necessarily want and were way overpriced. We were able to easily negotiate the price of these options to 15% of what they were listed at making them reasonable for what we were getting. I understand that dealers need to make money but they should be open about them upfront during the online quote process and sell them for a reasonable price. Our salesman, Conrad, was great. He was knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely buy another car from them given the overall experience.

I have never walked out of dealerships this fast or anyplace for that matter, sale person tells me that they will sell 4500 over the MSRP, once I told him how much I’ll put down he goes to his manager and tells me 6900 over the MSRP MANAGER SAID, they just trying what ever they can to sell making customers feel bad if they leave they will not get anything better then what they offer very disappointed by the dealer.Ps also very in sensitive the manager was making fun I told him my car got flooded in the Ida flood I asked if there was any deal since I heard some dealership were helping customers out they said they charge extra as a joke went as far as putting it on the paper I wish I took a picture of that paper, civic car I thinking about buying.

If you want to buy a car from here, everyone will be all over you to buy it including the managers. However, everything is going wrong with me at the same time with this dealership right now. First, I have been trying to reach out to finance guys for last 20 days with absolutely no response. Second, I give my car for service & I am returned in very dirty way. Thankfully, I have been promised that they would fix my car at no cost. Let’s see. But I am not updating my rating until I get to speak with finance specialist over there to discuss my current lease options. Look up for my number it should be on your file. Re: customer # 369953I would never go again. I called for an appointment for a visual inspection of brakes. I was told that I did not need an appointment to come in. I arrived at 12:02, left at 3:00 pm., it took 3 hours for a visual check of the brakes. I am a diabetic there are no bending machines, nor chargers for cell phones. I asked for a phone charger to used, I was told that they did not have any.I advised the person who assisted me, after two hours waiting about my diabetic condition and he said that they were working on my car at that moment. One hour later, still waiting.How inconsiderate facility. If customers have to wait for such a long time at least have bending machines and phone chargers available.If I knew, It would take this long, I would have gone to DCH Honda, of old bridge.At least, they have bending machines and they provide to their customer with complimentary free, brake diagnostic test with appointment.

She is very professional, and very customer focused person. She went out of the way to arrange a car for my brother as e needed particular color. During this whole process, she kept communicating with us providing us the update and finally arrange the car with color what we wanted. Overall delivery process of car was very smooth. She also took time -post delivery to explain all features of car (as it was hybrid model). If I could, I would give them 0 STARS! Using scams to trick customers to buy cars. Preadding fees (car preparation fee, added “mandatory” 5,000 dollars of fees, FAKE discounts). When we tried to test drive the car, a second salesman showed up and said that another person wants to buy the car for a higher price, if we don’t buy it now, and trying to PRESSURE us into impulsively buying the car. After our HORRIBLE visit, we obviously rejected the offer, we saw the second salesman in the car we wanted to test, there were NO PEOPLE in the car, contradicting what they said about people wanting to test buy the car right after us and solidifying the fact they were trying to TRICK us. They also said that they received the car without oil, which is false as you need to drive the car onto the truck for transport, and added fees for such. BUYERS BEWARE!

Far less impressed with the financial guy who was very clearly ticked off that we did not purchase additional warranties. One caveat: We purchased our last car there 10 years ago and, both times, we discovered that you have to allow about five hours! That is nuts.

Jorge Luis is very good! I was happy with his service. I would give him 5 stars. However, the people in the plates department are a mess! They took over 2 months to get my plates!!! And now Ive been trying to contact finance for weeksss!!! And I can stay on hold for over an hour waiting for them to pick up my call, but they never do. They dont even get back to me If I leave a message. No matter what day or time of the day I call. They are never available!!! WORST OVER THE PHONE SERVICE EVER!!

I went to Open Road Honda in Edison looking for my first new car. Upon walking in, Rich immediately greeted me and began assisting me in my search. I identified the car I wanted and he set me up with a test drive. Upon return from the test drive he answered all of my questions. The buying process was quick and fairly painless. Rich took the time to sit in the car and explain the car’s numerous features to me and he did not hesitate to give me his number for any questions that come up once I start driving the car. Rich followed up with me the next day to ask how I like the car and if I have any questions about it’s operation. I would recommend Rich and Open Road Honda!

Quickly wanted to give credit where its due! Kevin Rosa greeted us from the moment he saw us looking at vehicles. He didnt miss a beat and answered all of my questions, diligently worked with me all while maintaining a fun and professional attitude. I dont know what the bad reviews are about. I had a good experience at this dealership.Of course the price they provide online are too good to be true and they do add a bunch of dealers installed options but at the end of it, the price is still competitive as compared to other dealership.Do your homework, know the invoice price and you dont be upset if you negotiate well.I worked with Judy at this dealer and it was a no pressure and pleasent experience.

Will never come here for service. Place is a “S” show. Mob scene. They tell me on phone to come by for an oil change no appointment needed. LOL. Was a cluster. Stay far away. Makes me glad I do not live in this area of NJ.Back again. They outright make up stories. Clueless. Said wait would be 2 hours. It is over 3 hours and car remains untouched. They are typical “car salesmen,” making up stories.Plus they do not even take care of your vehicle like other more professional dealers….Geesh at least provide a complimentary car wash!!

This is a great dealership. They are well staffed with knowledgeable sales staff. Our rep, Willie Rodrequez was extremely helpful in securing our car. He managed to get us a really good deal without any pressure. They have an amazing service dept and a great waiting area with free snacks and coffee. We have been to every dealership all over the metro area and this is the best and Willie was tops when it comes to a sales person.

I went to Open Road Honda to replace my seat belt (which is under lifetime warranty under normal use). The service department informed me that theyre going to perform a diagnostic check on my seat belt for $150 to see the condition of seat belts. 2 hours later I got a call saying my seat belts are not under warranty, itll cost me $300 to replace the seat belt, and theyll have to order the parts because they dont have any in stock. I refused further services and got my car in 30 minutes. The service department gave me 50% discount on the diagnostic check on my services so I paid $75 for 2.5 hours for my time. This car is over 200k miles so I did get a chance to look around the showroom during my wait and found a suitable vehicle I may purchase at another Honda dealer. I had great experiences with Honda vehicles and dealers in my lifetime, but this is the worst Honda experience ever even with friendly staff that goes out of their way to help you.

My wife and I stopped in on a Friday with the intention of looking at the Honda Pilot. We were greeted right away by Andy, and he made us feel right at home. Extremely polite and wanting to make sure we got royal treatment. The dealership was a bit busy at the time. He got us keys and set us up with the vehicle and told us to explore it and have fun. He came back to answer all of our questions and was very low stress. We wanted to buy the car and he wanted to sell us the car. There was very little back and forth, and at the end we felt we got a fantastic deal that we could not say no to. By the time we finished all the paperwork we could truly tell that Andy was a genuinely good person who wanted to make sure we were satisfied customers. I would definitely recommend stopping in to see him specifically if you are in the market for a Honda. He has even kept in contact post sale to make sure everything was still great.
