Don’t think about going there.I literally had the worst experience. Specifically a guy named “Moe” seemed very nice until we made a deal. I ordered a sunglass that was not available at the store, he kept insisting that he can bring it and said an average of one week. Its more than 2 months now and he barely followed up to get my sunglasses or come back to me with updates. Whenever we call most of the time the staff says he’s carelessly always on leave. He finally answered onetime and said he will issue a refund cheque (after two months of supposedly following up to het it as promised but obviously he has other concerns than doing his job) that will take 5-7 business days, again, nothing as delivered as promised. Called after 7 days, hes on leave as usual with careless follow up and proactive feedback. Called the manager, there had no clue about how to process. It’s very annoying when people have no clue about customer service or know how to follow up or after sales service or do the minimum of their job, yet they care so much to close the deal and thats it. Now I’m in a position that I don’t know where my refund is or who can really help. I will keep escalating this until someone who really knows what customer service is or even know how to do their job answers.Don’t think about going there, you will regret it big time.

I am just going thought my worse experience ever, I purchased my sons glasses for $320.00 back on March this year and which they offered me a protection plan for an extra $34.99 They told me that will cover everything even replacement for a $50.00 co-pay only. Unfortunately my son lost his glasses, yesterday I went to the store, inquiring about his insurance to get his new glasses, At that point the sales person looks at me and said the protection plan will cover everything but lost, I feel so sad specially because they lied to me on the first place, after that I explained how important are the glasses for my son and what options I have to re-purchase a new pair, which she told me sit down and wait for him and that him took over my old receipt get the details and offered me the same. He told me that the frame went up $10US. and that I have to pay $290.00 +$34.99 if I want the insurance a total of $324.99 to get the glasses again, I even told him you have to be kidding me right. They treated me so bad and wanna me to pay even more to get the same glasses, not mentioning the issuance part .

The assistant manager, Mayra, helped me out and gave me options for lenses that the store in Watchung didnt even tell me about. I am thoroughly satisfied with my experience here.

I have been a LensCrafter client for a long time. I recently moved to the area and with the craziness of the move, I misplaced my glasses. After a week or two of searching and completely frustrated by my very limited vision, I was determined to purchase a new pair of glasses. This is what led me to the LensCrafters location in Edison. I was taken care of by Moe and Silfa, the optician in this location. They quickly located my prescription and Silfa helped me find a new set of glasses that I absolutely love. I am happy to report that I am now able to see clearly again and it feels great. I am posting this review a little late as we are still in the midst of getting settled in our new home, but I had to take the time to write this review because of the positive experience I had thanks to Silfa and Moe.Thank you guys.

Misleading, made me retest even tho i told them my current prescription was less than 9 months old, they assured anything over 6 months was no good. The doctor was honest and told me it wasnt true, prescriptions are good for up to 2 years. I get it tough times in business, but you shouldnt cheat your customers especially if they are returning customers like i WAS. Wont be here again

Expensive frames and lenses. Doctor Himangi was nice. One of the doctors male assistant who does the pre-exam was unnecessarily rude and arrogant. This place will lose its customers if he continues to be like that. Someone needs to teach this young guy how to talk to the customers. Overall experience was okay.

Made appt for 3 pm today (11/3), I went to the location and they were closed. I called the Menlo one thinking maybe I made a mistake but NO, Woodbridge one closed unexpectedly but They never called me to cancel.I came to menlo mall and one staff member instead of apologizing, she gave me a “careless” attitude. Great service! The lady rep that helped me Thursday morning was very professional and pleasant. I was in a hurry and it was my only day off this week from work, so I didnt have time for an exam. She wrote down the prescription from my eyeglasses and forwarded the info to the lab, so they could make a prescription pair of sunglasses. I chose $79 Vogue frames from the back section ( it was more affordable for me, compared with the luxury frames up front, up to $400 ). The bill was reasonable ( included single vision RX, scratch-resistant coating, UV protection ), along with a ( voluntary ) $35 One Year Protection Plan. My insurance covered about $180. I paid $120 ( not counting the $20 donation to OneSight - wonderful cause ). The prescription sunglasses were ready in a few hours. I had them by lunchtime. The male rep that helped me on my return, to pick up the sunglasses, was also very polite and professional. It was quick, easy, and more affordable than going to a private optometrist. I was also able to complete other errands / shopping at the mall. Recommended!

Sterling Optical messed up on my glasses and mistreated me. The folks here took me in and fixed my horrible shape glasses and fixed the lens in. Sadly one lens was completely made smaller so it was not repairable and the glasses as a whole is quite useless. However, customer service was amazing and they did the best they could do all for free! Very friendly and hope to buy from them, not sterling optical at least from this mall.

This Lenscrafters need some serious attention. I had a yearly family appointment on 02/17. I shared my vision insurance information with the receptionist after she asked. Then she asked me if I have medical insurance, this was a weird question to me as I have never been asked before in an eye clinic that besides my vision insurance I will have to provide my medical insurance as well. I asked her to further explain this to me, i got an scripted answer 3-4 time she said we compare which insurance gives you the best benefits and we will submit the claim to the one which will give you more benefits . I told her I would only like to use my vision insurance and I dont want you to use my medical Insurance. She then told me that at this location the Retina Imaging is compulsory and you will pay $39 for that with vision insurance. I refused and told her I dont need that I am here just for the yearly eye exam. She said we cant do that as the retina Imaging is mandatory. This was completely nonsensical to me and I just asked her to cancel my appointment and left.I have been going to Lenscrafters from last 4 years now I will surely have to look for something else. No clinic can force any exam on you and this should not be a mandatory thing. They wasted my time, please save yours. Hope this helps.

Staff happy to say No to every request.After a delay of 2 weeks in delivering my order, the staff couldnt help to change the color of the case saying they had no more neither they had a cleaning cloth in the case and were least apologetic to inform me that they dont provide cleaning cloth for kids orders.The store had no glass cleaning cloth even though I was willing to pay extra for it. Did not expect this kind of service from Lenscrafters.

This unit of Lenscrafters is looting. At first week of February, I have scheduled my family appointment for yearly eye exam for 02/17. I provided my insurance information and the Lenscrafters team told me that I need to pay copays $20.At appointment day, once I filled forms with my 4 family members, story started. Now they said I have to pay $40 extra, total $60 per person to eye exam as they have mandatory retna tests. I checked with my insurance company and they told, providers can not force customers to go Ratina options.Come on Lenscrafters. stop this looting immediately.

The doctor was more of a sales person than a doctor trying to sell us a specific type of contacts. When tried on was not satisfied and had to make another appointment to ask for a different lens which suited me i was charged with deductible again Its such a rip off. Not to forget the font office was rude every time we made calls to them.

Prior to making my way to LensCrafters Edison, I looked up their reviews on Google and was met with a myriad of negative reviews. Though apprehensive about going, I must say that I was in need of glasses for my mom and I was in the mall so I pushed through. Much to my surprise the staff was very helpful. From the moment we walked in, Sales Associate Zaneb was pleasant, accommodating and exceeded our service expectations. She personally selected some ideal frames for my mom and I to choose from and thankfully we were able to choose the right pair with her assistance. I would certainly recommend this store and Zaneb of course!

A week passes by no call so i ended up calling the store myself turns out my glasses have been there for 3 days already and nobody cared to call me. On top of this the rep is very cold and didn’t even care at all she literally just said that she’s going to let the system know to call me. They are terrible do not take your business here, fire all of them get some new people and then maybe just maybe you’ll do better

I purchase frames and I didn’t know where to go to have my prescription filled and my co-worker suggested LensCrafters at Menlo. Well, took forever, spent an hour waiting for them to figure out my coverage. Then when all said and done I was told one week. They called within that week I go to pick up my glasses, I DON’T KNOW WHAT PRESCRIPTION WAS PUT IN THERE, I COULDN’T SEE A DAWN THING!!! They said to give it back and they will fix it, went back within another week to pick up, SAME THING, this time not only not my prescription there was some time of fluorescent outline to each letter or object. I’m done. And this was not the first time. I’m done. I have to call my credit card company.

Cross-Posting from my review of the optometrist office at this LensCrafters:I rarely write reviews, but I want to make sure no one else makes the mistake of going here. As other reviews have pointed out, the people at the front desk are not very polite. On top of that, they try to have you get retinal imaging exam done (as opposed to a typical exam with just dilation) and the way they frame it, it almost seems that the retinal imaging exam is just as good. In truth, retinal imaging is relatively new and recommendations indicate that it certainly should not be used to replace the standard dilation. The other difference is that, unlike regular dilation, retinal imaging is not always covered by insurance. All of this is fine and I have experienced this at other retail optometry practices, but what really prompted me to write this review was that they conducted an extended ophthalmoscopy (EO) on my mom while calling it dilation. Dilation is typically a part of your eye exam and should be done regularly. EO, however, is reserved for more serious issues such as blunt force to the eye or macular degeneration, etc. and is not covered by insurance. The doctor did not once clarify that what she was doing was not just dilation. As a result, we ended up having to pay for an exam that my mom did not need. The cherry on top of this was that the office could not provide my mom her PD number (something youll need to buy glasses online) because they were not allowed to by Lenscrafters, inside of which they are operating. This makes sense since it makes it harder to patients to buy glasses elsewhere, but it is also why I strongly recommend finding a private practice where the doctor is more concerned with the health of their patients eyes instead of where they may upsell you on unnecessary tests or expensive frames.TL;DR: Find a place that wont upsell you on unnecessary tests, are upfront about what the exam includes and costs, and have no vested interest in where you buy your glasses/contacts.

I usually go to the Lenscrafters in North Brunswick, with which I am very pleased. Two times I have tried to do business with the store inside Menlo Park Mall and both times I left empty handed and completely frustrated. The staff was very slow and rude on both occasions, actually behaving like I was wasting their time. Also, they totally tried to overcharge me for things covered by my insurance and when I explained them the coverage, they were completely dismissive and did not work with me at all. And the more I was trying to explain the situation, the more frustrated they became so I just got up and left. Never going back.

I went into the store and was being helped and the clock struck 3 pm so i was passed to another associate who clearly did not want to be there. She was not helpful at all I asked her to price out several pairs and she said well they are all different pick the one you like the most. It was my first time buying glasses I asked for her opinion and got nothing another kind customer gave his opinion. I was not provided much information. When i went to pick them up was handed my glasses which do not fit properly and arent very clear things are actually more blurry with them but when i called was told was probably the prescription. Update: 12/3/18:Came back store to request a replacement. Rebecca worked diligently to find replacement lenses as I really liked the frame. She very kindly explained all of the solutions and was extremely helpful. If everyone at Lens Crafters was like Rebecca, this place would get 5 stars each and every time. She ordered me the lenses and will update this once I have it. Added 2 more stars, and will add another if I can get the glasses she ordered for me. Fingers crossed.Terrible service. Waited 2 hrs after selecting glasses to be able to buy. Then no one called me to tell me my glasses had arrived. Finally when i got my glasses they have this incredibly moronic etching on the glasses that the sales person never told me about. If I am able to return the glasses I will add back a star.

Came in with my friend for her to get contact lenses. The two woman at the desk were awful. They were talking about another patient in front of us. My friend asked if they were talking about her and one of the women said just because were talking about a patient doesnt mean its about you. Another person came in and asked a lot of questions about prices and one of the women who was helping them looked like she was getting fed up so she started laughing and said its depends on what you get. Not friendly, didnt seem happy to help customers.Terrible customer service.

I am writing about the lenscrafter shop which is inside Macys at first floor. I am giving one star rating because there is no zero or negative rating. I had of worst experience there.I purchased a prescription frame and lenses for my son and they said it will take maximum 10 days which i requested to make it little earlier. They put the remark as expedited and suggested it will come in 7 days probably, then my problem starts. I start calling them after 7 days and every day i was getting a new date without any certain dates. The lady accepting the call was not so friendly ( i will not say rude) and always telling that i have given wrong information about 10 days delivery but still they are trying for urgency and it is dispatched today. But it never got dispatched till today when i am writing this review. I was fine with the delay and lies but today it really went beyond my expectation when i booked the eye exam at second floor Lenscrafter and by mistake i reached inside Macys. They requested me to cancel the booking at first floor and they will do the eye check up immediately for sure as i am their regular customer. By hesitation i cancelled my appointment at second floor and filled up my details at their shop. After fifteen minutes they said i need to come some other day as doctor is leaving now. When i asked that you made me cancelled my appointment and now you refusing my check up. they did not have any answer simply they can not do anything. And the person who promised me was invisible and nowhere to be found.I was feeling insulted and cheated. Somehow i requested again to the lenscrafter on second floor and they obliged me with re booking. I am very thankful to them for saving my time. It is the worst experience i ever had in New jersey...I will suggest to be careful going to this shop. I do not know when i get the lenses for my son which is ordered on 15 th Jan.

I was in Lenscrafters to get a prescription glasses for my friend, It was a tremendous experience. The moment we got into the store we were assisted by Sabrina, She is really amazing in her job. She understood our requirement and suggested us with lot more better option which we did not know. She tried all the possible ways to help us within our budget.Later we were assigned to Iryna, she answered all our silly questions we had with patience and was super helpful. Been going here (dont ask me why) for 11 years thinking the standard was low perhaps.They always try to argue benefits even tho I have EyeMed which owns LensCrafters. They always upsell you stuff you dont need. They tripled price of basic exam and fitting to $135 out of pocket which is insane. I just got back from Pearl vision by the woodbridge mall. $45 bucks covered everything.I wish I had made this move years ago. Dont waste your time at this place. MONEY GRAB

I was so pleasantly surprised. I expected just average service from a mall Lenscrafters but the service was superb. Dr. Choe was patient and great with my teen daughter who came in for an exam and contact lenses fitting. Reno and Stephanie were assistants who taught my daughter how to put the contacts in and take them out. My daughter has very strong eye blinking reflexes so this took awhile. They were so very patient and knowledgeable. In addition, while my daughter was practicing contacts removal, I went into the LensCrafter eyeglass area to get my daughters glasses adjusted. The associate there didnt have to help me because I didnt buy the glasses from them but she took time to try to fix the glasses. Nice job, Menlo Park LensCrafters! Thank you.

I ordered sun glass with prescribed lenses, I had to change my glasses for four times to get scratchless glass. Very bad service, the glass making facility inside the store is totally bad. Finally I made myself compromised with the best of the worst options available in the store. My glasses still have some minor dots which is not obstructing my vision.They dont even check the glass before delivery, so please check the glasses thoroughly during pick up. Also they are rude and not helpful when you look for different options.Same experience to one of my friend as well, he ordered a Rayban sunglasses and the logo went off just by rubbing the glass, they replaced the glass, but the problem remains same.Overall, I had a very bad experience with this store and I will not recommend this place to my friends.

I brought the Rayban Polarized prescription lenses and when I first got them them on shop they were not clean at all and lens was not finished properly.When I clean the glassed with microfiber cloth the Ray Ban P logo on glass came off. Also there were many micro scratches on the lens.I was very much disappointed and asked for the authenticity of its being Rayban. Unfortunately I didnt get convincing answer and they told that we will replace it. I had to explain them that there are scratches for obvious that very much visible.Finally after getting my lenses changed. This time finish was perfect but when I came home and cleaned the lens with Microfiber cloth, Ray Ban P logo came off again. It was so much disappointed now after going to shop for 3 times I left it as is as I was afraid they would put a scratch while placing the logo.Please beware of this shop. I have been to different Lenscrafters shop and found very good service.BAD service. Will never go again
