Best dumplings I ever had in the U.S! Authentic and tasty! Love the bubble waffle. It is very good choice for after meal desert. I would definetely recommend these two. I also tried the spicy and sour beef noodle. The taste is good but not special.The place is surrounded by Japanese anime stuff which is very lovely.The quantity and price of each single dish is relatively small/low. I guess it is a good thing since once you come here, you would want to try different dishes.

This place is awesome! The food and drinks are always fresh. I believe they sell frozen dumplings in case you love your order so much you can recreate the yum at home! The desserts though!? Wow super creative and delicious! You u have to try!

Environment is great. Coming for their sago. Order a “Fresh” Taro Coconut Smoothie, but it’s not as what I had before in other Kulu in NY.It’s not made by fresh taro cube or purée. They used taro flavored ice cream. Defiantly will give another try next time for other items …

Garbage. Strait 🤢🤮🤮. The girl working there served me the bubble waffle with no sauce and it was very dry. Im sure theyre good when properly made.

This is a place that should satisfy most everyone. They have sweet and savory options. They have bubble tea and Taiwanese style desserts. It just has a lot of everything executed well. This is a great place to come if you can not quite make up your mind on what youd like.

First time going here.There was a kiosk where you can order what you want. Wasnt complicated and simple to use.After you ordered, you can pick up the alerting device and wait.Thankfully when I went there with a group of 4 in total, it wasnt crowded and there were plenty of seats/tables.The drinks we ordered came out fast enough and was good. I ordered a mango slush and it tastes exactly like mango. Ive seen some fruit drinks/tea that came with chopped up fruits.There is 1 bathroom there, gender neutral, but clean.

They have the BEST matcha ice cream there on the waffles.

This is my first time here it’s a very nice place with friendly & hardworking co-workers that are young. I had the jasmine tea which I’m a fan of it was very good. Also the dessert pinky rose is good thanks to One of the co-worker Mat who recommended me to try it. I like how humble and cozy the dinning is here at this location. I recommend anyone to come here if they need to study.

One of the few places in the state where one can find the fabled ube (purple yam) ice cream. Not only were the creations unique and the components delicious, but the service was outstanding. The environment was tremendous, cozy, and spotless in a completely unassuming storefront. Cant wait to go back.

The bubble waffle and matcha ice cream were very good. They also sell dumplings. I tried the curry chicken. I will be returning to try the pork and cabbage. You can also get noodles in broth with the dumplings. Nice variety.

Besides being so Instagrammable, they were so good and filling! BUYER BEWARE: this place posts on their menu as BUBBLE TEA but it doesn’t come with bubbles. When I asked why it was posted on the menu under the bubble tea column, he said that’s just what we call it but it has no bubbles. I said ok well I would like my bubble tea with bubbles… but wait that’s extra . Dear Kuku if you want to raise your prices just say that. Don’t post as bubble tea with a price and then charge when people ask for it that’s shady.if you charge for toppings I get that but this is not a topping . It’s the principle.. there are to many tea places in the area to go this one sorry kuku .

Simple food with variety of choices. The prices are quite high but quite delicious. If you are not careful you could easily spend $20 per person. I would recommend as a place for hangout. There are plenty of seatings.

Probably one of the worst experiences I’ve had in my life. No amount of apologies and staff discounts can get me to change this otherwise. Went for a treat after workday, quite late around 9:30 and I knew the place didn’t close till 10:00pm and staff seemed to be empty or in the back (I didn’t know). So I waited till 5 mins until closing just for a “we’re closed” even after hearing me from me asking for anyone.

So far the only thing Ive gotten is the is the pinky rose and it was phenomenal. They do take some time to make everything but I dont mind that. The rose waffle actually tasted like rose. The strawberries and mangos were fresh and best of all the strawberry ice cream had the perfect balance of strawberry flavor to creamyness. If theres one thing I cant stand, its when strawberry ice cream tastes like milk or cream and not like strawberry. I will definitely be going back for dessert but I cant wait to try their vegetarian dumpling.

Delicious dessert and probably the best taro boba tea Ive ever had. Service was super friendly. He spent the time to walk us through the menu and gave us extremely helpful recommendations on what to try and what to avoid.

I recommend anyone who has a sweet tooth and to come and try their desserts. Their pinky rose waffle icecream has a soft and refreshing strawberry taste. It has contains strawberry icecream, mangos, strawberries, and whipped cream on the side.The banana rainbow waffle icecream ( I think thats what its called) is very sweet and if you love sugar x2 then its meant for you. The banana rainbow has a vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate syrup, bananas and fruity pebbles. The sesame waffle icecream is all sesame. Icecream is sesame, dragon fruit covered in sesame, even the waffle is baked with sesame. Each of the waffles are very soft and becomes soggy if mixed with the icecream, but still tastes delicious. I was also glad to find a taro bubble tea drink that tastes similar to a taro slushie. There is also the option of ordering on a large touchscreen device and after ordering you have a buzzer that gives off a loud sound. Prices are a bit high, but worth it. They also serve food which I will try next time I stop by!

Been waiting forever for KULU to open in NJ. The dumplings are a must try, theres even a vegan option! My favorite is still the milk puddings, the original and the sesame flavor.

Ordered several items through DoorDash. Most of the desserts was below average. Desserts didn’t look as good as their ad. Over priced desserts. Ice cream were melted, paid $12 for one dessert gave one little bites of mango pieces.

Stopped in for an afternoon snack. We got the dumplings sample plate(?). It comes with 1 dumplings each of the 8 varieties offered. All tastes pretty good. We got taro red bean and taro mochi with coconut milk combo and taro, taro mochi and coconut milk combo. Both has taro icecream. The soup are both coconut based and comes with grass jelly inside, though it was good and satisfies the sweet tooth, I was hoping for real taro chunks in it. The taro flavor comes from the taro ice cream, and it was very sweet. The place is in a ShopRite shopping complex and there is plenty of parking.

Please update your hours to Kitchen closing hours!Do not mislead people!I HAD to visit the store twice. I called them and ordered an ice cream at 8:40 pm and told them Id pick it up before 9 pm. They call me back 10 mins later and tell me theyre closed. I drove all the way till the store just to hear were closed. I checked the time with them before ordering.The second time I visited the store and the staff refused to serve ice cream as the kitchen was closed!

I love that you can get good Hong Kong style egg cakes in edison now.

Dumplings and desserts are pretty good but strongly overpriced. Would come again if my usual spots in Edison arent available.

Each dessert here is about $7-10. For the price, they taste pretty standard. I got a Kulu special, which was pretty much an ice cream float in sago, and a triple sesame bubble waffle. The waffle was good, the sesame ice cream was good. I did not realise there was popcorn on it until I got it. That cheapened the experience for me.The aesthetic overall at Kulu feels polished and clean.It points out to me how the popularity of asian treats are growing now that people are aware they are Instagram-worthy. The food here certainly is pretty. But it didnt taste that great. I prefer The Sweet Spot in Highland Park. I like places that feel more personal and caring, and less corporate we have monetized a formula for experiences you like feel.Gender neutral bathroom. My favourite part of this experience was this deer wall art in the bathroom.

Great service, the owners/managers are super nice and the dumplings are great, they prepare your food the way you want it. The bubble tea is good also, they are very clean and keep the place tidy, plenty of tables to sit at, towards the back its very quiet and private and you can get a huge booth in relative privacy for studying, conversations, etc. Bathroom is clean and spacious, one of the very few places to eat in the area that checks all the boxes.

Lets just say that the Purple Yam Red Bean with Sweet Mochi was very very very very very good. The ice cream was smooth and flavorful but not too sweet. The small glutinous rice balls complemented the red bean well and the Mochi had that oh so amazing QQ (chewy texture). Would definitely get again

Came here for the bubble waffles! It was SO delicious. The place is really cute - hope to see it more lively once COVID is over, but still recommend anyone to stop by and try their desserts if you’re in the area.

DO NOT GO TO DUMPLING TOWN, unless you want to have a problem with going to dumpling town. Now if you find yourself craving dumplings everyday you should join my support group. We meet every Thursday at 6pm.... at dumpling town! The people there are great, super friendly, and very patient. The menu can be a bit much if your not accustomed to such variety. I had never heard of half the menu items, the staff is more then happy to help you navigate it. Theyve been spot on for me so far, excellent recommendation everytime. The dumplings are top notch. The soup is unlike any clear soup Ive had in philadelphia, and the spicy soup is even better, it has enough heat that youll feel it, but not so much that it overpowers the rest of the flavor.Lulu deserts is a fruit lovers paradise. Ive never had durian before, ask for a sample, its not what you expect, I think its a blend of banana texture and creamy caramelized onions. Though I dont like onions its completely unique and I rather liked it. Purple yams, and red beans, and a few others I cant recall, I call it candy in disguise. Seeing beans on your ice cream for the first time is a bit strange, until you taste it. Yet I believe Ive only sampled half of the offerings they have so youll not be bored anytime soon.If you like to try new things or you just want authentic northern chinese food theyve got something for you.Bonus: If your kids like pokemon theyve got a sleeping snorelax laying around somewhere, see if you can find them!

This spot is super cute, with a good amount of seating. The menu is diverse, its got bubble tea, hot tea, iced teas, and unique desserts. The prices are reasonable, I got a small bubble tea, a small hot tea and a dessert for 18 dollars which isnt bad at all. They also have a dumpling menu but we werent in the mood for savory dishes. I will definitely have to go back soon to try the dumplings. Definitely a good atmosphere to chill out with friends or do work solo.

This place has been open for about a week now. We had the pork and chive dumplings with the noodles in spicy broth. I really liked it! It seems like getting dumplings with the noodles is the most cost effective option.I also had the Mango with sago and pudding dessert which was yummy. Shout out to Justin for the great service. They brought the food to our table and also pour cups of water for us.

Really, the adjoining dumplings place was the big draw for us. Spicy sauce is very hot here, but lovely and sour for the few bites I managed. The best are the pork and shrimp dumplings, they are so flavorful and tender, and the shrimp helps them keep a nice juiciness! Also, the dessert is so good here, the sesame bubble waffle is delicious and so nutty in flavor (black sesame is a great choice for those who cant have peanuts but still like the taste). Only issue I have is the drinks are a bit small for the price, which is a pity as the strawberry fruit tea is just delicate enough to cleanse the palate

The coffee bubble tea is good but I still havent gotten a grasp on the motif theyre going for. Number of far East Asian cultures mixing, but not really settling one one. The tables are unnecessarily huge and need to be cleaned more often than they are. Service is reasonable.

Came here for desserts after seeing the super high rating - ordered the mango pomelo w/ grass jelly and got a grass jelly with milk to goPros:- Interior is super large and clean- Lots of options- Staff is friendlyCons:- The pomelo had grapefruit pieces on top which I didnt realize and each time I bit into one it was superrrrrr bitter, so much that I felt very uncomfortable with each bite and would actively avoid the grapefruit (because the mango and grass jelly werent bad!) I asked other members of my family to try and they agreed with me- grass jelly is a bit hard for my tasteOverall I give it 3 stars because my experience was very just ok. Ive been to a number of Asian dessert spots and would rather go back to those because their desserts are either more unique or more tasty. I am willing to give the spot another try though!
