They are always great. I called in wanting to upgrade my exhaust on my f-150…they set an expectation on when they could have it done. They upgraded my exhaust system by late afternoon same day with no notice prior and did an amazing job with everything. I recommend everyone I know to them whenever I get the chance.

Have an older vehicle, and needed the brake lines replaced. Mark took me even though my particular make/model can be a pain to deal with (my opinion and also opinion of a mechanic friend), and other shops might be reluctant. Fixed a few other things on it as well, and explained everything to me. Received my confirmation before doing any work, which I appreciated.Gave me a fair price and the work completed was solid. They are amazing! I was on a road trip 5 hours away from home, and I had a wheel bearing fail on me driving down the interstate. I had my kids and my dogs in the car. They were understaffed, but were still able to get me back on the road quickly. I cant thank them enough for their kindness!

I found Mark through Google after having a tough time with another shop. Had my car towed to him with the hopes of a timely repair. He exceeded my expectations exponentially!! He had all my brake lines and a new converter done in less than 2 days. He was very thorough and knowledgeable. Hands down the best mechanic Ive used.

My catalytic converter was stolen out of my Honda Element and Mark Muffler came on my radar for repair because they were open on Saturday and I wanted the repair to be done so I could drive my car. Mark was very accommodating, communicated really well, and he was very knowledgeable. He fit me in Saturday morning and had the repair done in a reasonable amount of time. It was my choice to go to Mark instead of installing an aftermarket catalytic converter myself which would have been significantly cheaper. I was also going to go to another muffler shop who quoted me $300 less than the Mark repair, but Im sure the quality wouldnt have been nearly the same. The work they did here was excellent, clean, and it looks great. Nothing wrong with the workmanship or the repair.Mark led me towards the most expensive option for catalyst, advising me that its most likely what my car needed, and he was probably correct as far as longevity is concerned. I probably should have been more assertive about taking the risk with the cheaper converter despite the certainty for a code down the line. I did a lot of research beforehand and was prepared to take that risk. It was difficult for me to speak up, especially since the repair technically already began, which was strange because I thought he was going to go over the different options with me when I arrived, but he did not. He says he gave me a good deal on the repair, and I believe him. It was about market price for this type of job.To summarize: Mark is awesome, his shop does professional quality work, and if you want the best for your car, go here. If youre knowledgeable about the type of repair you want, make sure you are prepared to communicate that. Im sure Mark would have accommodated me if I was more assertive about what I wanted and I could have saved some money, but I definitely would have had issues with codes down the line.The repair is solid and it looks so good, Im worried somebody is going to try and steal this one too. Well, only time will tell.

Mark is not only VERY friendly and professional, but also goes out of his way to explain the problem/resolution thoroughly.He worked my son’s car in last minute on a Saturday, and worked all day to finish it. I wish there was a love button. My family and I were traveling on I-55 to St. Louis for a mini getaway when out air-conditioning stopped working and our battery light came on. We knew it was the serpentine belt but didnt have tools to change it. It was 5:20 on a Friday evening when we pulled into Marks shop. They could have easily told us to come back tomorrow but instead they stayed to make sure we could get back on the road and even gave us chocolate cake to send us on our way with. My muffler almost fell off my jeep while towing a trailer across the country today. I ended up googleing the nearest muffler shop and Marks had good reviews so I called. Mark answered and told me to stop on over and to decouple my trailer out back. I arrived and they saw me right away. They had to order the muffler special but it arrived within a few minutes. Mark and the team were really friendly and got me back on the road in less than an hour! And the best part is, it was extremely affordable. Because they are so good at what they do it took the tech no time to install it and labor cost was minimal. I myself am an ASE Master Certified Technician and can tell you that the quality of work was fantastic. I cant say enough good things about my experience here.

My check engine light came on for a cylinder miss firing. They diagnosed the issue almost immediately, then they acquired the part and fixed the car for a fair price. I had a squeaky suspension on my Mazda and brought it to Mark Muffler. When I dropped the car off the first time the squeaking went away (due to moisture from rain I think) and they told me to bring it back if/when the squeak comes back. They didnt charge me for this. Brought the car back when the suspension started squeaking again. They found the problem the first day they looked at it and fixed it within an hour.Owner is very down to earth and seems very experienced. He clearly cares about his customers, their experience, and how they view his business. I had a great experience with them I have a lot of respect for this business. I will be taking my car to them for any future repairs needed. I highly recommend them.

Marks has had my business ever since my teenage son went there for a muffler repair a couple of years ago. They gave him an estimate on the cost, and my inexperienced teenager told the guy he only had a certain amount of money for the repair. I dont remember what the difference was, but the guy told him they would fix the muffler for the amount of money my son had. Pretty impressive in this day and age. These guys are honest and not out to rob or gouge and they get the work done quickly on top of it. I will always go to Marks for my car repairs.

I had an alignment performed and was charged 10 bucks extra.when i asked why, i was told it was extra because my alignment took more time. for a flat fee job i should have been called and told it was going to be extra. they performed the service and didnt call me when they were done. i had to call them at closing time and ask. i was told i had 20 min to come get my van. not sure if i will come back.

Respect and integrity completely describe the staff here. I took my car to Marks to get my exhaust system worked on. I went in saying I needed a new exhaust system and they said they would take a look. They invited me in the garage to take a look with them and told me I didnt need a new, $1000 exhaust system and fixed the problem, as well as some other issues I had but couldnt identify. I left with a car in much better working order than it had been in and spent less than $200. They didnt talk to me like I was a woman who didnt understand cars and I know that they wont try to get me to fix something that isnt broken. They are my go-to mechanic.

I noticed that there was a strange noise coming somewhere from the bottom of my car and I couldnt figure out what the noise was. I stopped in at Mark Muffler and asked them to take a look under my car and tell me if l had something to worry about. They inspected underneath and found that one of the brackets holding the tailpipe was broken. They fixed me right up and l was on my way in no time.

I want everyone to know in the area surrounding and including Edwardsville that if you do not go to Mark Muffler and Auto Repair you may be costing yourself a lot of money or not needed repairs. I went to another place and received a quote because of their what I thought a great deal on tires. It is across from Wal-Mart. I will not mention name but you can figure it out. There was a entire list of things I needed which was around $3,200. I did not take the bait. I went straight to Mark Muffler & Auto Repair. Mark assisted me and looked at the car. Found out I did not need all of those repairs. Still a bill but was happy to pay a third of the projected bill from the other provider. This is the best service you will receive when it comes to your brakes, tires, and alignment. I am a very satisfied customer!

Repair my exhaust fast and reasonable

Upon entering i was greeted by a guy named mark, who had me go take a snapshot of my vin number, whats up with that? I dont work there, what ever happened to customer service in this world. After waiting in the office its seems like the counter staff is highly unorganized and confused. The service work came out well, i was happy with the repairs, although a bit pricey. Might shop around some more next time.

This is a good honest shop, that will tell you what is wrong if it is, and wont try to upsell you. You cant go wrong.

Amateur shop at best dont do custom exhaust even whats considered common at a normal muffler shop.

As an SIUe student, I didnt know where to take my car when it started making sound. I chose Mark Muffler Shop based on their extremely high Google Reviews. It was rather busy when I arrived but Mark still got my car in the shop in less than 5 minutes. They showed me what was wrong with my car before they did any repairs. Everything they did was very upfront and on the level. It took them only 20 minutes to get a new muffler delivered to their shop, cut off my old one, and weld the new one on. My whole trip was about 30 minutes and Mark did everything he could to save me money. He definitely runs his business fairly knowing that it will keep customers coming back. I highly recommend Mark Muffler and will return there for my duration at SIUe.
