As pilots go its not bad on the inside, the biggest problem is if youre in a truck and you have to leave and theres a train going by, youre going to have to wait and if that train wants to take its sweet time youre going to lose hours maybe even half a day on your log book because of that train. So I will never ever go back into this truck stop ever again. That train will ruin your livelihood.

Not the easiest to get in and out of for gas (truck with a trailer). They claim to require masks but there were multiple patrons not wearing them and the store clerk didnt enforce the rules.There is a McDonalds attached to the gas station.

Good showers. Parking is hard for truckers to move around when some people park too close to you or too far ahead of you. Some bone head truckers.

I stopped here to buy some bandaids because my hands got wet and original one I used went off. The store manager just gave me a few for free and alcohol cleansing pad. I really appreciate it!!

Walked in and was told by a cashier you need a mask. I dont have a problem with that, BUT HE WASNT WEARING ONE EITHER!! Then walked over to McDonalds only to hear a woman sound like a broken record, How are you on the beautiful Friday. Seriously, she said it to every customer, over and over and over. I understand saying it a few times, but come on lady. Its a very clean Pilot and roomy. And over been here a million times. But all it takes is one time. Never time Ill be stopping at the TA if I have to stop in Effingham.

Personnel are great but the store is a waste of time. Cant pay at the he pumps (and I mean this has been going on a while since Ive been stopping here several runs the last few weeks). I guess corporate doesnt believe in customer service at the pump. I personally dont want to have to keep tabs on my account to make sure Im charged the proper amount for a fill up. This is my last visit here. And to boot it all the custom coffee makers, both of them, gave me cold coffee

They have a McDonalds at this Pilot, CAT scale, showers, small laundry room. T-shirts and souvenirs, great coffee, and friendly employees.

As with any person traveling your safety is number one this Center was well-lit completely open no hidden areas or dark areas every area of this business is open and I felt safe service was very nice courteous Timely store was clean well-stocked and maintained

Showers are pretty nice and clean. Laundry facilities, lounge/movie room, and gaming room

The staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom wasnt clean bit the rest of the building was clean. There is a McDonalds in the building however expect it to be thruway/highway prices like the rest. Always arrive half an hour or more early if you are departing from any greyhound.

I bought a milk it was discussing 🤮🤮🤮and also the bathroom was filthy the coffee no sugar no milk. 👎👎👎

Small pilot half decent number of spots, but tiny bathroom always a waiting game. Saving grace is it has a McDonalds.There is a Flying J 2 miles up the road at the next exit heading Southbound at exit 160 which is bigger and has mechanical services and a Dennys.This place is pretty basic, this place is good for a quick bite and fuel stops and 30 minute breaks etc..

Your bathrooms are the worse bathrooms Ive seen. Toilet paper everywhere ans they smell like straight urine .contacting corporate

I’ve never written a review for a gas station or had it even cross my mind. This gas station made me want to write a review for them. As soon as you walked in the travel center, you were greeted by anyone who was near- from manager to cashier to beverage stalker- with a cheerful “good morning”! Everyone seemed genuinely happy and willing to help any customer with any question. It was a gas station unlike any I have been before and made me feel as if I was in a “Luxury” gas station. Top notch variety of products. Top notch people. Top notch travel station.

Its a very nice store, showers are so clean that they practically sparkle, and they have really good water pressure. Only 2 problems with this store. 1: diesel pumps are really slow, which tends to cause a big pile-up in the fuel island. 2: the truck spots here look like they were painted for pickup trucks pulling a 20 ft trailer. Its not a problem during the day, but once the front row gets full, backing into a spot can take awhile.

Bathroom needed attention. *Wasn’t horrible*McDonalds shares a store space so that was super convenient

It offers everything a person traveling needs. Im not absolutely sure but I think I remember seeing a pay phone there also. But things like phone cards chargers neck pillows small personal blankets full line of food and drinks. Lighters cigarettes toiletries. Clean Atmosphere. Clean facility bathrooms clean and modern looking. Only thing bad I would say is at the self serve coffee station there was no sugar. Im not sure if it was cause I arrived in the middle of the night and the attendant wasnt able to out some out or if he didnt know there was none. But I couldnt find any and I was in a rush so just got a coffee without any. But very fast service also

God place to buy fuel. But if you are in a semi be sure to turn right at the light by the Pilot. There are few places to turn around. The $500.00 fine is a hoax . Nobody wants a semi turning around in their lot.

Customer service was horrible had to tell cashier 3 times that card was company card could only use it for truck and she still tried to ring up other items on there. Then went and got a coffee refill and a refill of ice and she refused to change what she charged us charged us for a large soft drink and a large coffee. Was totally rude very bad experience.

Pilot/Flying J is always great. Well stocked, clean restrooms, reasonable fuel prices, nice staff. My only problem with this location is that I was blocked in my parking space for ten minutes because an inconsiderate individual pulling a travel trailer went to a pump and after fueling didnt move and went inside and took their time coming back out.

Stopped in for a quick snack on a long drive. I would recommend this location for the clean bathrooms alone. The environment was nice.

I have never seen a bad pilot travel center. I have also travelled a lot. I look for these on the road trips. They have clean changing tables in the bathroom for the little ones and coffee for the adults. The food isnt bad for something to grab. The pizza is typically fresh considering you are eating at a gas station. The wife likes the cinnamon bun thingies. The high octane french vanilla coffee is worth a stop.

Service by the staff is great. When we were there, someones car was hit by someone else. The staff acted quickly to help the emotional car owner. The other clientele also did their part in hunting down the offending vehicle. I commend them. I give 3/5 stars because a lot of their merchandise does not appeal to me due to cultural differences.

Great stopping spot for food and fuel, very friendly staff. Love the mohawk chick cowgirl, she is a very polite and helpful. She is definitely unique. Love it

Great people, decent location but 1 star because the parking lot is a ice skating rink. I know it may come as a shock but it snows in Illinois thats why they make ice melt or salt. Take some of the money that you overcharge drivers on and buy some salt.

Very clean showers. Have a towel and washcloth in shower room for you. Very hot water. Worth the $12! Cashiers are very welcoming and nice eventhough it was extremely busy. Keep up the good work.

This station doubles as a Greyhound stopAnd they are full staffed all night long at the McDonalds. Which is hard to find out on the road. They are quick efficient and always fully stocked. The pilot also has very clean restrooms and always has available showers for truckers. One of my favorite spots. They have certified scales and reasonably Priced DEF

We stopped for gas, a drink and to use the restroom. Yeah, I know what? well the gas was reasonably priced, for the area, the drink was very reasonable, fountain not from the fridge, and the restroom was sparkling. Very nice to stop for a short visit. The clerk was friendly and helpful

My first meal all day was from here and my gosh was it good. Some mac n cheese, corn and some wings. Too good. Also pumped diesel which was cheaper than the Shell right next door. Love Pilot travel centers and the rewards program they offer

Trucker: if you have no other options you can attempt this station. This pilot has parking for 48 trailers. Those with 53 need not apply. Its very difficult backing into these spots. And even harder trying to get out of them.Lot is riddled with pot holes. Garbage cans over flowing. And dont get me started about the back 40.. seriously. If you have options keep going!

Pilot itself was slow had only one person at the cash register one line. Needed cleaning up bathroom inside store what not. Now for the McDonalds restaurant if you like your meals with a side of flies this is the place for you pretty messy floors tables dead flies on the counter flies flying around everywhere and the fountain machine had mold where they put the ice in at the top I dare not look where the soda comes out at. Recommend before you eat here get a tetanus shot. Good luck

Decent pit stop while travelling. Stop in, get gas, snacks, essentials. Pretty much it. They also have a McDonalds restaurant joined to the establishment for extra quick eats and options.

A big thank you to the nighttime management here at Efingham Illinois. Our dog rolled in some dog droppings and they provided a bucket of warm water so we could bathe her. Thank you so much for your help.

Courteous staff, clean rest rooms and showers. McDonalds fare is the usual. Small selection in the store as far as other pilots go, but everything is clean and neat which plays a large role in my personal happiness. Showers are larger than most, look and smell nice!

So thankful for this place, I had the worst bubble gut ever. They had a very clean restroom, till I dropped a load. That poor toilet got painted 50 shades of brown. And sorry to any drivers in there at the time. Only complaint is the auto flush. I put down a commode cowboy hat, flipped around to do my business and it got flushed. I sure hope whoever sat there before me was clean. Other then that thanks again you saved my britches.

Management is as bad as these lazy drivers. I pull around to fuel, almost get backed into by a driver to lay too park in a parking spot (parks next to the curb where trucks pull around to fuel); TONS of parking! While fueling, I let management know. Says hell take care of it, next thing i know the driver is walking up to me saying have a nice day. Then the manager walks up and says have a nice. The driver says hes out of hours and cant move his truck TO A PARKING SPOT! Slap a boot and that truck, then tow it. Theres simply no excuse when he passed that many empty parking spots. Clearly this place needs new management ... someone with a spin and who actually has safety in mind. No excuses for management either! Over 20 years, this is getting ridiculous.

Nice and clean. McDonalds inside has kiosks from which you can place your order and pay. Pretty cool.

The people there were great. I had one guy that would help me with the coffee Im feeling bad that I forgot his name. But he is really awesome and he helped me with the creamer I had to get out of customer cuz Im tired of going into these truck stops and having people leave their garbage and their creamers and stuff out as if we owe people to clean up after us. Best pilot i been too first let me say the staff was so polite even the manager was ringing. It was very clean and the McDonalds was just awesome fresh food within 7 minutes never ever did i get my food that fast and fresh at same time. You guys rock. Best mcdonalds hands down and i been to many many states.

I went here to catch a greyhound, I thought I was late but the bus broke down a few states back. The cashier was slee to pull up all data entered about the incident, that a replacement driver was flown in to continue driving the route with a fresh bus. He told me itd be there 7 hrs later than expected but it was only 3 hrs late.

Plenty of truck parking, even after 19:00. Spacious showers and accommodating drivers lounge. My only disappoinment is no bean coffee leaving me without my much needed Organic Sumatra.

The coffee is always good but for a rest stop off of the highway with a ladies room with only 3 stalls was inconvenient. The line was literally out the door and there were a few women who almost didnt make it. I like Pilot gas stations generally but they need to consider making a larger ladies room with more stalls. It was really surprising to me with it being the only restroom for the gas station as well as the McDonalds that was connected to it.

The travel center was clean, well stocked, and able to handle large crowds. It was equipped with a McDonalds. They were able to fill our orders in a timely manner. They even allowed me to use the McDonalds app and that saved me money.

This is one of my favorite Pilots. The employees are friendly and helpful. The maintenance always keeps up with their workload. And the McDonalds always seems to taste fresh.

Way better on the inside then out. The staff was really busy but yet they were extremely polite to every customer. The staff at McDonalds were exactly the same way. Dawn the mgr doesnt like to be called maam. LoL

If youve been to one pilot youve been to all the pilots and half of the Flying Js. is pilot like all other pilots had a decently friendly staff and was well stocked with all the goodies you need on a road trip.Outside area was a little darker and Ive seen most Pilots, however.

Stopped there as a rest place during a bus trip. Very clean, great variety and exceptional customer service.

Always a great stop when traveling. Large clean bathrooms and some kind of restaurant it is my preferred stop for gas.

Diesel pump had problems reading my card (might have been because it was an out of state card), but the cashiers took quick care of that problem inside. The McDonalds inside was slow to get my food ready (anf they were not busy), buts that not Pilots fault.

The Pilot has hot, fresh coffee all the time. This Pilot has a McDonalds as the fresh food vendor. You can also get a variety of other snacks here as well. Pretty easy access to and from Interstate Highway.

Clean truck stop. Greyhound uses it. By god it was good.

Go to Decatur Illinois Location daily for coffee (refills on coffee are free) sometimes go to Subway or McDonalds, get gas, like selection of items to buy, especially the figurines in the front of store, great prices, friendly staff. Love my Pilot

I love to stop at my pilot gas stations. There were plenty of clerks there to assist me. The store was presentable, neat, in order. Bathrooms were clean ( very important). The cashier had a good conversation (short) with me without losing attention on other customers. He was young, dont know his name but it was around 12:00 ish pm I think. My only concern was that the gas pumps didnt have a covering to protect from the rain. I could tell that they may have been remodeling. Bathrooms were clean (very important). Didnt have time to get my hot chocolate 🙄

This is a kinda small Pilot.. if it wasnt for truck drivers that park at the pump to order Mcdnls it would be fast and easy in and out, still not that bad. showers and bathrooms are clean and the staff really welcomes you with a smile while they value your time and help you asap... (at least night shift did)

The manager or guy in white dress shirt who works here is on point. He is doing great display cases and smiling and greeting people. He seems amazing. Tiffany at the register seems highly intelligent and nice too.
