Mechanics always honest,courteous, professional,s and charge reasonable prices. Owner Mr Rose changed out my burnt out license plate bulbs and did not charge for his work, just for the bulbs because I am a small older person and could not get the older bulbs out myself as they were kind of stuck so had to bring to the shop. Mr Rose is a gentleman and runs the shop well.

Went there to get an estimate on having the car worked on and apparently the guy was too busy to even give me the time of day. Would not recommend this shop. Used to be a good shop with fair prices. But when they cant even give you the time of day when youre trying to find out if they can fix your car Thats just not somebody I would recommend.

Needed to have my car looked at for a couple weeks due to a rattling noise coming from under the car. Had a recall on the car already, so I had the dealership take a look at the issue while it was there. Service advisor texted me a few hours later quoting me $2,300+ for repairs; he wanted the whole exhaust system replaced.Took it to Rose the next day, Chuck had my car looked at within minutes and told me 25 bucks (the heat shield came loose and needed to be repaired). Had my car in and out within 15-25 minutes max, problem solved.Honest mechanics at this shop! Ill be returning :D

I have been going to this shop ever since moving to east county. My primary business has been with their smog side that always has a very minimal wait time and super knowledgeable technician preforming the check. My most recent experience included my older truck failing the check and I had to get some stuff repaired and come back. The shop that I had do the repairs kept my paperwork and despite not having proof of work being done they rechecked my truck and it passed. They saved me a drive all the way to Chula Vista by believing that I had the work done. I will be going here when my next smog check is due.

I needed a tune up. Someone told me to go to Rose Automobile. So, I went there today around 8:30am. Then about 5 to 10 minutes later Chuck called me and said I didnt need a tune up. I could come and get my car!! No charge for anything!! This was the greatest experience I have ever had at a auto shop!! I am so grateful for them being so honest with me!!!!

I had problems with my car while nearby and had to look for an auto repair shop in the vicinity. Rose Automotive popped up on the search and had the best reviews, so I went with it, and I cant describe how happy I am with that decision. I always feel like car shops are typically shady or try to milk you for as much money as possible, but that absolutely wasnt the case here. The staff were professional and friendly, handled my warranty company for me, replaced my alternator and had my car ready the same day the part arrived. If I have problems again, this is the first place Ill turn to.

THEY WILL PASS THE OVERHEAD COSTS ON TO YOU.My wife and I took our car in to have a small part replaced. Nothing major, just something to get it to pass smog.First they needed to wait on a part, but told us theyd have it by end of day only to call us after an entire day of waiting to tell us they had received the wrong part and the car was in pieces and theyd have to double charge for labor if they put it back together. Wife and I had to take a day off work because its our only car. 1st day wastedNext day rolls around and they wait until almost 4pm to call us and let us know they never got the part, so they put ours back together and let us take it home promising we would only be charged for the initial labor. 2nd day wastedFast forward a week, we are told the part is in. Brought it in right at 8am only to be told by a guy named Tim that they actually never got the part. So we leave with nothing again. 3rd day wastedOne more week later, Tim calls us to tell us they have the part and presses that we show up early because it will take him all day to do it. Probably the rudest guy there. We drop the car off 10 minutes before they open and are given another promise that the work will be done before close. Well, 1 hour before they close, we get a call telling us they dont have the time and to bring it back on a weekday. 4th day wasted.That brings us to now. Car still has had no work done and we have wasted 4 Saturdays trying. One of us will have to take another day off work to make sure this job gets done and at this point it feels like a gamble either way. 5th day to be wasted. At this point, we are looking at other options.On top of all that, it seemed like they kept opening new work orders every time we brought the car in despite the original work order never being completed. While the guys working here seem like nice people, it doesnt seem like communication or long term memory take a priority.
