I brought my car here to have a hub assembly replaced. And when They told me, I thought 700 thats a little hight but told them to do it because I thought they would do a great job and everything be great. No it was not.the noise is still there. They did not show me my old part and I also asked them to look over my car and let me know of what else need to be done. However just like my old part, no list of things that need to be done. This place was not that good and they (DO NOT put people ahead of money.) I would never recommend this shop. I am very displeased and would never go here or tell anyone to go here.save your money and resurch a different shop.

Been going to the West Auto Group for something like 15 years. First in Escondido, now in El Cajon. Would not go anywhere else even to the cheap oil cheap oil changers because the West Group Techs check everything, and tell me when something needs attention. Trust the West Group completely. Chris in El Cajon is very knowledgeable, professional, and always good for a laugh.

Return for warranty repairs due to check engine light illumination. Service manager (Chris) assured me the problem would get resolved. After re-flashing the CPU to reset cold start fuel trim settings, the problem was eliminated. Chris and his front office team (Conrad and Sherman) were excellent courteous and professional. I recently had a 90k mile checkup on my ford car. service was done and the technician said all was good however a break fluid flush and fuel induction cleaning which I was needed for an older car. They were honest and did not recommend not unnecessary services. highly recommended.

Took vehicle in for transmission not shifting properly 4/8/21 and they said trans did not have active problem. They diagnosed my issue as an engine misfire and did $900 in repairs. However, trans problem still existed. I called back 2 separate times over the next 2 months attempting to get time to bring it back...no return calls. I had to stop into the shop unannounced to get an appointment 2 days later. By then the trans only operated in 2 gears and the diagnosis was a $6000 replacement of the trans. Cant help thinking a proper earlier diagnosis would have avoided this. I was told they didnt call back because they were too busy and doing the best that they could. Weak.

They were very professional. They worked hard to find my air conditioning problem. Which was a very complex job. I definitely would recommend them to my friends and family.

I had an issue with my clutch in which I decided to take to here for repairs. 1000 dollars later the problem was not fix because of misdiagnosed an which I took to the dealership and now my car is running again. After talking to Chris to see whats the next action to take. I was informed that I will not receive any money back from the misdiagnosed repairs that was done at Western El Automotive.

I’m new to the area and very particular about who works on my truck since I’ve invested thousands of dollars to the engine and outer part of my truck so I did my research and found after speaking with both the counter personnel and the main mechanic that El Cajon auto was the place for my truck and boy was I correct they solved a on going electrical problem that many before them could not figure out after a couple days at the shop I got a call that the problem was solved to my surprise since the last shop had it for 6 weeks with no luck or glue what it was so as you might have guessed this shop has a new customer and more to come after I spread the word to family and friends Thanks to all at El Cajon Auto

I called around town to get quotes on full synthetic oil change. They were the cheapest the oil change included rotating the tires and inspection of the vehicle. After checking with my son the maintenance they suggested is something I need to get done so they werent trying to tell me something my car didnt really need. I will be calling them for an appointment soon. They were all so nice, the young man at the counter was very polite and I enjoyed talking with him .

Dropping your car off at a mechanic can give you a lot of anxiety. This was not the case here! I was so worried my car was going to have so many issues to repair. Luckily, it was minor and they were so honest and upfront with me. I’ve never been to a more professional and friendly car shop before. I got a phone call every single day updating me about my car. I went for the first time to West Automotive El Cajon to have a 40 point check provided by AAA.I received excellent costumer service, the entire staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.I wish I could remember names but I can’t think of them right now. I received an estimate and Chris explained everything to me thoroughly. I didn’t feel like he was pushing me to have things done quickly and he made sure that I was aware of what could wait and what needed attention soon. Good work. Friendly customer service. There was a small flaw in their inspection. Front brakes reported as in good condition but a week later reported to be in urgent need of repair. This was ascribed to sloppy handwriting being misinterpreted.

Seems they did a pretty thorough inspection pointed out some things that I already knew might need seems like they did a nice inspection on the vehicle

These people are AWESOME. On a Sunday, I noticed a big water leak under my Jeep. I went to have my oil changed and they told me my water pump was leaking. How can I get that fixed on a Sunday and can I even afford it.No repair shop was open except one down the street and they quoted me $700 AND they could not fix it till the next day. So I went home. called and emailed a few places. Monday morning came and I got a Text from Chris Graham. He gave me a quote of $531, out the door. Unless there were more issues it would cost more. That is understandable. Luckily no other issues and I drove it home out the door as quoted. I am beyond ECSTATICALLY PLEASED!!! THANK YOU Chris Graham and the Whole Team at WEST EL CAJON

My Geo Metro began to have what I suspected as being transmission related. I initially took her to a mechanic I have seen for many years only to be told that there was no problem. I took the car home only to have her stall and skip. Returned the car to the same mechanic only to be told, again, that there was no problem that they could find! So I decided to get another opinion. I had heard good things from a neighbor about West Auto so I decided to try them. And sure enough, within a day they had run a thorough diagnostic and discovered that the car indeed had a damaged transmission. The CSR, Jessica, was amazing; she knew all about the problem and translated it into laymans terms for me, and kept me well informed on the progress of the cars repair. Very friendly, which made me feel a welcome customer. I cannot recommend West Auto enough, and will rely on them for all of my future car repair needs. Thank you!

I had two older vehicles with the engine light on that needed smog checks to be road worthy for the great state of California. Attempts at other auto shops failed to keep the dreaded engine light off more than a day or two. I was reluctantly prepared to let go of both vehicles not knowing where I could go to trust to treat me better than the previous places I had tried. I heard a commercial on the radio making claims of how honest this shop was and how professional. I decided to give it one last shot and try West El Cajon Automotive shop because of their claims as well as the good reviews I read online. I was hoping to keep at least one of the cars and I just wanted to know if either were worth repairing. I could not have been more pleased and satisfied with the results. After diagnostics and thorough explanations, I junked one car deeming it beyond what I was willing to spend. I did have my other car repaired within the price range I was willing to spend and expect to drive it a good while longer before replacement is necessary. I waited a while to write this review to be sure the engine light remained off and the car passed smog. My experience has been the best which gives you better odds of experiencing the same. Auto repairs are stressful enough and having a shop with people with expert car experience you trust makes getting through it better.

They offer a free shuttle service for those who need a ride, they keep you informed about what is being done to your car, they will never perform any repairs that arent necessary, and their prices are very reasonable. They are professional, reliable and trustworthy. The mechanic Brian is extremely knowledgeable and only does the highest quality of work. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a shop they can trust!

At first, i am pleased how friendly is the manager of this shop. He communicate with sense of humor. Downside are, they took 9hrs just to replace my breaks and change some fluids on my civic 2012 coupe. I know they also do some cleaning and diagnostics on my car but 9hrs is way too long to do the work. I was actually there in their shop just waiting in the lobby for almost 7 to 8 hrs, the 1hr is when i left to have a breakfast after i brought my car there 8am. Its nice they have a shuttle for free dropping me off to a nice restaurant. And one more thing, they charge me $660. Am i ripped off? I think i was. Details of the service are on the pictures. At the end, i just thought to myself im not coming back here for another service for my car. That waiting just made my good experience crushing down rapidly.

I went in for a private party vehicle purchase inspection. The inspection was thorough and an amazing value. They provided a complete quote for all suggested repairs and/or maintenance items that they saw. They have a nice facility, clean, and plenty of parking, and all the employees were amazing!

I had a wonderful experience under the worst circumstances. Everyone was professional and beyond that, they were helpful and courteous. They answered all my questions with kind, informative answers and at no point did I feel bad or unwelcome. The environment is one of kindness, generosity, and caring.

This review is happening now even though the issue happened a year or so ago. I took my Tundra in to have a timing belt installed. After the work was finished and I picked up the truck I noticed that my air conditioning didnt work but did prior. Took the truck back in and they said that the compressor is not working and therefore needs to be replaced. I told them it worked prior to there working on the truck but they didnt believe me and said sorry but this is what we found. I left knowing that this company was responsible for the air conditioning not working but they were not willing to own up to it. About 2 weeks ago I had my truck over at my brother in laws house and he said let me look at it to see what could be wrong. Within 5 minutes of connecting his gauges and tracing down the possibilities of what could be the problem he found a wire that was broke. If this shop would have gone the extra mile they too would have found this wire, but they didnt. Instead they wanted to give me a price to change out a compressor that did not need changing. You can be the judge.This wasnt the first time a took a vehicle to them but it was the last.

Thank you so much to Bill and his crew. I was having brake problems and took my 09 ford escape to Evans Tires on Saturday. They had my car for 3 days, replaced the master cylinder 3 times and my brake got worse. I called Bill late Monday afternoon. Tuesday morning had my car towed to his El Cajon shop and within an hour they knew what was wrong. They ordered the part and today on Wednesday I got my car back. Bill is a awesome person, and straight forward. He lays it all out on the table so there at no surprise. He is also kept me informed as to what was going on with my car and how long things should take. I wish you guys were open weekends so I wouldnt have had to deal with the other place.
