The people at Star Tech are great to do business with. Very pleasant and they listen to your problem situation. I had a problem with a laptop computer not booting and they diagnosed it and made a repair in two days. The fee charged is moderate. I have been doing business with this group over 15 years at two locations. I return because I trust their workmanship and technical skills. They do a full range of computer repair and parts sales.

EDIT: I ended up not being charged anything other than the original $35 which was a nice surprise.We shall see what the outcome is after the weekend, in which Ill edit my review if necessary. I dont know how much additional to the $35 Ill be charged for a simple hardware check when I pick it up. That may make or break it.First time customer. I dropped computer off Tuesday or Wednesday asking to test each of my components to see if theres any hardware failure since I couldnt fix the blue screen I received. I suspected it was the CPU but jokingly said, Im not a professional, I guess youll see, and left it there.Early Friday afternoon I get a call telling me it was my CPU and that Id get another call later when its ready. I didnt receive a call.Today, Saturday, I call since I hadnt heard and figured they forgot about me but it goes straight to voice-mail. I check their website to see when I can stop by since I guess they arent open yet.Saturdays theyre closed so I cant install my new CPU before (remote) work Monday. -_-Plus Im a gamer and weekends are for my 10+ hr streams which is when I make most of my affiliate money. Weekend wasted. Huge disappointment. I wish I had called on Friday when I didnt hear back, but didnt want to be a bother since Ive worked customer service over 9 years and know how it can be.TLDRPoor communication. I build my computers so I would have been fine picking up in pieces and I wasnt informed of either my computer being ready or the closure on Saturday. I probably would have been informed on the hours had I gotten that call I was told I should expect.Advice: Be on top of your own order and dont leave it up to StarTech to relay information. Be proactive and call them instead of having them call you.

They are scam i went there because my pc was over heating I paid 35$ and waited 3 days and nothing is changed the only thing changed was the fans now is louder and he does not wanna fix his mistake he want me to pay another 95$ just so he can fix the loud noise. This place is amazing! I built a new computer and it powered on, but there was no display and I spent hours trying EVERYTHING to get it to work. I scoured through so many troubleshooting articles and forums and literally attempted everything. Nothing worked - I gave up and brought it to Erin to see if he could do anything to fix it.
