Lets just make it short and sweet.Went to have U-joints replaced. $688.54 paid, Took 2 days, they put in 1 wrong u-joint out of 3, didnt replace carrior bearing, drive line literally fell out into my brothers hand... called corporate to make a complaint with El Centro Pep Boys, Manager Alex. If youre a woman, taker a man if you decide to use this business, they take total advantage of women alone. I will never do business with them again!!
I worked with Alex and Jonathan. I’d had a terrible experience at the Pep Boys in Yuma and decided to try these guys. I had a seemingly simple but difficult job to do on my wheels. These guys were professional, friendly, and understanding of my situation. They went above and beyond to make it right. Still some issues with my car but not at all their fault. If only businesses in Yuma were half this good! Definitely worth the drive. Thank you!

Went in asking an oil change at 3:55, waiting at the fron desk for like 15 mins. I walked over to the garage area and asked if I could get an oil change and was told they couldn’t because they closed in 2 hours? Worst service ever. Get people who actually want to work.

I had an alignment done on my Infiniti M45. Took about 3 hours, but I wasnt the only one there. I had to wait in a line, even though I had an appointment scheduled 5 days in advance.

Stay away from this place at all costs. Had an appointment at 10:30 to have front shocks in my car replaced, took the car there and waited there since I was told it would only take around 2 hours to do. About half an hour in Im told the car would need an alignment in addition to what I was getting, and that they automatically charged my card for it without any consent or approval from me. Tried to dispute this with the immensely rude and ignorant manager, and was told there was nothing I could do about it. After around an hour of waiting and arguing with the manager, I asked to have my car taken down to have the work stopped and I would pay only for what theyve done so far and not the entire estimate. I was then told that the mechanic was at lunch, and wouldnt be in until 1 p.m. What on earth was the point of allowing/letting me make an appointment at 10:30 just to not have work start until 1? They would have charged me for simply waiting their in the lobby doing absolutely nothing in addition to the actual labor. Tried disputing this again with the manager, saying I wouldnt be paying for anything since nothing was done and I was getting labor done that I didnt ask for, nor was I made aware of. I had to go through the trouble of deactivating my credit card while in the store just to prevent these crooks from charging me for quite literally nothing. Ive worked on my own cars for over 15 years, and came here simply because I didnt have the patience to do the shocks as I was strapped for time thinking this would only be a 2 hour job. This visit just reiterated my entire ideology towards mechanics, as this is the FIRST and last time Ill ever let anyone touch my car again. Unless youre a patient person, please go elsewhere. Theres many reliable mechanics in the valley to go to, and not going to any of them was my biggest mistake in this.
Pep boys are really good, they changed the oil and rotated the tires on my van all at the same time and it didnt take as long either but I like them because they are so nice
Pep Boys service and mechanics were attentive to the issues associated with my vehicle. Unfortunately, they were unable to provide the work needed at this time due to availability of parts (have to come from Mercedes Benz). It was recommended to go to the dealership in San Diego. Unfortunately, Imperial Valley does not have a certified European automobile dealership or mechanic shop. There is VW.

HORRIBLE service. The store manager is so rude. Go to Daniels tire shop right down the road instead if at all possible. Our brake line had a hole burnt in it coming down the hill from San Diego. We were towed to pep boys, they checked out our truck, and gave us a bill totally $1,000 for replacing all kinds of things that was not necessary (My Grandpa, Dad, and uncle are all mechanics). They refused to do just the necessary thing of replacing the brake line. The manager spoke in Spanish to his worker and would not speak to us directly at all. The manager said it’s company policy to do everything or nothing at all. After they told us they’d get the part in the next day, they didn’t and then said it would be 4 more days before they could get all the parts in, we decided to take it down to Daniels. Daniels checked the truck out and told us it was the brake line that can be fixed for $100. The brake line was put on wrong and the exhaust burnt a hole in it. He ordered it from 3 different places to make sure it comes in. We told him about our experience with Pep Boys and he said that’s how they are.
Super rude no customer service. Will deny you any service to leave early from work. I was told they will deny service because they cant have people working longer to get paid more.Spoke to manager and he did fix the problem and went beyond to help me out.
Had an appointment at 9am. Car hadnt moved from the parking lot until 9:30. The mechanic was too busy socializing with this coworkers and eating donuts that my car sat on the lift for 25 minutes. Finally got my oil change done and it only took a mere 1hr 45min. Whats the point of an appointment if walkins receive faster service??
I have to say the people I dealt with at this Pep Boys restored my faith in humanity! I broke down near El Centro and was towed to their store. Marco in the service dept knew I was having a bad day, he clearly cared and helped make my day a bit better by not charging me for the inspection, giving me not one but two rides locally and providing me with phone numbers of other mechanics in the area. They even stored my vehicle over night and cleaned some food out of my car so it would not spoil! They went above and beyond. Thank you!

I had the misfortune of having my alternator die while visiting my parents. Knowing I was from out of town and needed to get back to work, they proceeded to try and rip me off every way they could think of. They are dishonest and I would not go here again unless I had absolutely no other option like I did this time.1) I needed a new alternator. They told me my 1 year old battery was dead and they couldnt even check my alternator unless I bought a new battery. I made a little bit of a scene and turns out they could test my alternator without my buying a new battery. I had the battery checked later by a trusted mechanic and its fine.2) They told me I needed to replace a bunch of motor mounts, I had the ones that needed to be replaced done a year prior by my regular mechanic and theyre still fine.3) They told me I needed to replace my front tires because the tread depth on inner side of them was not deep enough, I checked and those were fine too.
Guy named Victor that was really helpful when I was looking for transmission oil for my daughters car and they happen to have the type I need it. He even did some research to make sure it was a correct oil.
Prices are expensive 2xs at least higher than ordering on RockAuto and that is even with the shipping charges. They did have what i needed and the staff are nice but cant give 5 stars due to the prices.

Horrible service. Had an appointment at 1pm and we got there 15 minutes before and they told us they had to skip us cause by the time they talked to us it was 2pm . One whole hour of waiting patiently for nothing !

I took my 2008 GMC 1500 truck in 7-14-19 at appr. 9:30a.m. and ask for a front end alignement due my truck shaking after replacing new tires in the rear and semi new To thé front at Wal-mary. They caller me at spot.3:00 p.m. telling me that i née des To replace all Ball joints and A-ram. Around $1,000 To fix. I Just told them To check tire balance and I should pick it up. Come To find out it was à bump in the middle of driver side tire? Took it To Wal-Mart and replacer driver side tire. Problem solved. No Ball joints néeded or A-arm. Thanks for wasting my day off.
I found my rare oil filter for my European car (Mann filter) which is the OEM part. I recommend checking online, sometimes they have discounts that arent available through the store.
Had to have our car towed there early in the morning after a breakdown on the highway. Staff had a lack of knowledge of auto mechanics and lack of professional attitude. After 4 hours of inspecting our vehicle they said they could not do anything for us. At another shop, we found out the issue was minor and could have been resolved hours earlier. Don’t waste your time coming here.
Went in one day for an oil change and saw everything was full, aldo told me if I came in the next day hed guarantee me my oil change. He fulfilled his promise and now my car is in tip top shape again.
1st time using this place lets just say it sucks. Came here to get an oil change that they said will take them a hour and a half ( come on really) so I said screw it get it done. So I came back and I see my car up on the rack with no tires so I go and see whats up and the guy that helped me in the first place starts appologizing to me saying I was going to call you but you needed new front tires.( Good looking) ask how long they said 30min, came back still up on the rack no one is working on my tires so I had to wait in the waiting room and pressure them to get it done and off the rack. So all in all Im never going to use there services again.

I had a 1pm appointment and it took over an hour and a half before they got to my vehicle and another half hour to do a simple oil change. I was there for over 2 hours with an appointment.
Was looking for visor shades for front side windows. Unfortunately, they were unable to assist me. I purchased them thru Amazon for $8.00 w/ $5.00 rebate just for doing a post (which I havent done yet). SORRY PEP BOYS.

Oh yeah this pep boys does not care. I went in to ask about getting and oil change and a light replaced at approximately 9am guy said it would take two hours, i thought a little long but oh well, I said okay. He then said they will start on it at eleven and it should be ready by three...i said what never mind. If he jacked me on the length of time i couldnt imagine how bad he would have screwed me on the cost of it being done. Coming from Oklahoma where we loved the service at pepboys there to this el centro pep boys is sad. This is the second time pep boys has made me want to pay off my card and cancel it.
Told me to come in for oil change i said cool ill be right there. yet when i get there they said they wont help cuz someone else was their last customer of the day... (still 45 mins before they close.) Ok but why tf did u tell me to show up right then? I should invoice you for wasting my time. F u Pepboys.

Great selection of parts, but overpriced labor, charged me 200 to replace shocks on my car despite me supplying all parts. Ended up going home and doing it myself in less than an hour.
Went in for an oil change and free inspection coupon. Appt was 1pm. Specifically asked them to look into an issue with SES code and clutch fan being the fault.. Were called to the counter at 2:30, an hour and a half later, they say theyre done and Im good to go. I ask them about the SES code and what they found out abt the fan clutch, dude looked at me like a deer in headlights. I saw the other guy write it down.. They said theyd look at it. Didnt do anything but an oil change, in a freaking hour and a half? Didnt even read the SES code till after I reminded em about it. So the guy goes and reads it, then trys to tell me the roaring noise, obviously, painfully obviously coming from the fan, is in fact noise from my TRANSFER CASE. No joke. Then he reads the code, checks it out, comes back and tells me its the fan clutch... What I told them it was when I came in. I cant say how flabbergasted I am about how effing bad this place was. Took them an hour and a half to change my oil, and told me the noise coming from my hood, was my transfer case, no joke, my transfer case, with a straight face...Take your money elsewhere people
I brought my company car in today to have oil changed and safety inspection.Aldo, the gentleman at the counter took my order and called me as promised to let meknow my car was ready.After paying for the services, I got into my car and noticed the front dash plastic cover above theradio smashed in. It was a small area, about one to two inches that was smashed.I brought this to Aldos attention and he came out to take a picture of the damage and told methey would review the cameras, he would call his manager and also speak with the mechanic.I said the cameras will not pick up their mechanics inside of my car doing damage that canonly take a second to create, let alone have the mechanic confess.Aldo said he would call me tomorrow and I told him it will need to be replaced.It is a small cheap plastic part, but nevertheless, it looks tacky and they did break it bybeing careless!Aldo, so far has been very professional and helpful and I do appreciate HIS service. Other timesI have not had such attentiveness. This is the ONLY reason I gave them a ONE STAR...It is for Aldo!Although I still have not gotten an apology.I will report back as to my results tomorrow.The next day I did get a call from the service Manager, Agustin. He said that he would call me in a couple of days to replace the part. Its been a couple of days now and I am waiting for his call to rectify the damage that they did.Ill write more when they contact me and give the results.Agustin did not call, I had to call him. We made the appointment for next week.When I took the car in on April 14, they installed a new radio but could not figure out how toprogram it. They told me I would have to bring the car back AGAIN the next day as they bringin a specialist to program the radio.I brought the car back the next day, April 15th at my APPOINTMENT TIME OF 10AM and the guyto program the radio was NOT THERE. In fact, THOMAS said, he is running A LITTLE LATE!I waited OVER AN HOUR AND A HALF and FINALLY he showed up. then, THOMAS said that the guy needs to go to Heber to get a part he forgot!NOT ONCE DID I EVER HEAR AN APOLOGY OR AN IM SORRY FROM THOMAS!!!!!!!I waited another hour until they finally returned even though THOMAS said it would only take 20more minutes.It took them over 3 hours to install a radio and and two days of bringing the car in to accomplishsomething that was THEIR FAULT.....AND STILL NO APOLOGY!THOMAS does NOT CARE about the customers and I will NEVER RETURN to Pep Boys as long as he is working there!!!Agustin was somewhat helpful, but again NEVER APOLOGIZED and Aldo was very kind and courteous, but also NEVER APOLOGIZED for the mechanics breaking my Radio.My ADVICE TO YOU:DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO PEP BOYS EL CENTRO......They do not care about you and this isnot the first time Ive had problems with them, as they wrongly diagnosed and charged me nearly $200 for an air conditioning hose that they said was leaking when I found out it was the CAP only!a cheap part!THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!!!THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS ARE NON EXISTENT!!!!After speaking with the General Manager, Francisco, He actually CARED about my experience.I was pleasantly surprised that he APOLOGIZED with CLASS and also offered to giveme my money back in full for the experience I went through!THANK YOU FRANCISCO.He asked if I would give him another chance and I agreed, one more time.
