We have been in the market for a used vehicle.Andrew researched and went out of his way, to find us a super good car, exactly what we wanted and at a great value! Before we arrived he had thoroughly checked out the car, all the details, and was totally prepared for us. He stayed with us to make sure we understood everything about the car. Our journey to find a new vehicle wasnt the greatest, first impressions are everything. The one thing I dont like from a salesman is to be hounded or hovered over. For that reason I almost didnt come back to Grindstaff. Maggie just happened to call me because I clicked the wrong thing on the website so I took a chance on her. She was AMAZING! she took her time with my husband and I, listened to what I wanted and made sure I was happy and comfortable. The first car we really wanted and got approved for got sold before we could get back to the dealership but she already had another one in mind. I fell in love with that car more so than the other. I cant thank Maggie enough for all she did. Thank you again for all you did. Oh and her assistant Lexi. I kind of feel like I made 2 new friends as well as got a new car!

Had oil changed in 19 Ram 3500 diesel, ask for Shell rotella synthetic oil. Oil that was used was 10w-30 conventional, and was charged around 200 dollars, over 40 dollars higher than less than a year ago.will not go back, cant trust with my truck.

My experience at the Grindstaff Dealership in Elizabethton was nothing less than outstanding. I am a 59 year old that has been in sales and accounting all my life and have always been the guy that likes business relationships with smart, friendly, real people. This is why I am making Elizabethton my retirement home. I have met so many good people here; it is hard to go back to South Florida... I have bought many of vehicles in my life and this purchase was indeed one of the best ever. I purchased a used vehicle from them and the group of people handled the transaction with ease and professionalism. When I brought my vehicle home, I noticed some issues that were concerning and was unhappy. I felt discouraged and did not want to go back and explain my concerns, but I did anyway thinking that, as with most dealerships out there. I bought a used car and that its my problem now. But that is not what happened. I went back to express my issues to Jeff the salesman, Josh the sales manager, Shaun the financial wizard and the owner Mr Grindstaff happened to be there as well. They handled my concerns as if I were family and took care of all my issues without a blink of an eye. They even provided an awesome loaner while they took care of me. What a nice experience to have on my first vehicle purchase here in Tennessee. These guys totally rock and it was fantastic service. I highly recommend this dealership due to honesty, integrity and professionalism. If they have what you need, buy it there. You wont be disappointed. I purchased a used car here and got a great deal that included a bumper to bumper warranty. Great deal, great staff! Almost a year later, the transmission went and Grindstaff took care of everything to do with the warranty. I now have a new transmission (Chrysler) with a 100,000 mile warranty. The service staff at Grindstaff was terrific, fought the warranty company to get everything covered. Very pleased and highly recommend them!

Its pretty rare when taking your car in for an intermittent problem and they dont charge you to diagnose it even if they dont reproduce it but thats exactly what happened. I will definitely come back.

I recently reached out to purchase a new Dodge Ram. When I asked for price points, i.e. invoice pricing, hold back, and rebates, I was sent a picture of the window base price. When I asked for the price again, I was told you’re in at our price our out. Pretty rude and distasteful.

Use this service area for a business delivery vehicle and every time, it ALWAYS takes way longer than expected, they never have the part, and they also will make you wait 2 hours to inform you that they wont have the vehicles parts in until the next day (so who knows how long it will take to get a BRAKE CHANGE) two days to get new brakes, absolutely ridiculous. When its a tire than needs replacing, it is the exact same circumstance. And I would not be making this review right now if they wouldnt have been the responsible party for my delivery driver to waste 2 hours on company time, and our customers being quite upset that they havent been able to receive their delivery on time. Again, this is not just an occasional thing that happens, it is every single time, no matter what the mechanical issue is. Definitely lost a well paying PROFESSIONAL customer. Lets hope tomorrow it isnt something else.

Took my Challenger here for a small vacuum leak that I could not locate. Grindstaff CDJR were extremely thorough trying to find it. Even shuttled me all over the place while they had my car until they eventually got me a rental car at no charge. Leak was found and my Challenger was returned with more gas than I had in it when I dropped it off. Could not be more pleased with their service.

Last year we tried to buy a Jeep Wrangler from this dealer. Im 66 years old and have bought quite a few new cars and this is easily the worse experience Ive ever had and probably will ever have. My husband and I lost our $500.00 deposit on a deal that we thought was happening. Fortunately we immediately went to Johnson City Auto Nation and bought a new jeep for a lower price and were treated with respect.Thank you Ms. Mullins but at the time I sent a couple of emails to Mr. Grindstaff and received no response. I conversed with Lee Lee Williams a few times, and finally I received a response from Mr. Grindstaff stating that there was nothing he could do because at the time the dealership was not his until January 2017.

Dropped off at 10a. They took me and picked me up from work. They still didnt touch my vehicle for service. They said they were down a tech and told me all about his past(not legal or professional) the said the lady who scheduled work overbooked because she and a tech went to champion. Again knew they were overbooked when I dropped off vehicle. Beware all they do is lie and make excuses. Go to any other dealer. The Ford side is just as bad. Same service manager and same lies. BEWARE.Update: Even though they posted a reply no one has contacted us since then. They just do not complete that simple task. More over promise under deliver.DO NOT HAVE THE SERVICE MANAGER CALL. That would be a bad Management decision.

I took my jeep there because I heard a bad noise coming from the rear. I live 90 miles away and was in the area for school. I asked them to see what was causing the problem. They checked it and said it was the rotors and that it was safe to drive home. I made it home by the grace of God. My dad started working on it the next day. ROTORS WERE FINE! The lug nuts on the rear left wheel were so loose, you could take them off with your fingers. Seriously? They didnt catch that? Did They even look at my jeep? Dont take you vehicle here unless you have a death wish. Amanda Carter is my maiden name.

They tried to charge me 1450.00 for an after market piece of rake line. So I picked up my truck and took it somewhere else. They also charge me 152.01 to tell me I had a brake line busted which I already knew. However when I called to enquire how much I owed them for their servicebices, I was told 125.00. I was also told that 27.00 extra dollars was for taxes. I dont know but I thought .10 percent of 125.00 was 12.50. I could be wrong but i dont think so. Anyway, i bought cars from this establishment and Steve Grindstaff has always been fair with me. However i will never take another vehicle to be serviced there unless its a insurance claim.

Wasted my time. Actually lied to me when they called me at home and said I could order my car now. Drove all the way there, wasted over two hours, then they told me- cant order the new 2020 yet. That was the first question I asked before driving all the way to the dealer. Ive asked them to remove me from their database. If they would lie to get me into the dealership- could they be trusted with or after the sale.

I can never support this dealership again. When purchasing my business van in February 2019 I was promised a rebate of $1000 if I purchased parts and accessories for the Promaster so long as I can provide my receipt. I submitted the receipts on 3/7 to the finance manager, Irving Rios. Mid-April we called to find out what the status was on the refund. Turns out the sales manager, Ryan, claimed he did not submit the rebate until 3/27/19. It is now June 11th - we STILL have not received the rebate and Ryan nor Irving will respond to our phone calls or emails. Finally, we had to contact FCA with Chrysler Corporate for assistance with this incentive. After research, they found that a rebate was never submitted for me by Grindstaff. Now, the FCA customer service agents cannot get a call back from the sales manager, Ryan. Buyers - please cautious with this dealership. I do not recommend this location for the fact that the customer service experience has been fraught with disappointment and frustration. Dodgy managers have made me lose trust in this business due to dishonesty and lack of follow through. It is very suspicious when multiple phone calls are made and emails sent and no one will call or write back. I do not feel like a valued customer and theres no reason for a busy business owner to spend 3 months fighting for a rebate he was promised.

Internet price did not match the asking price. Bait and switch! Truck was $26800 online called and they wanted $29000. Would not honor Internet price and tried to add $599 for a doc fee. Website clearly states $499 doc fee. Either way Im not paying someone for my business. Sales lady was nice, but the managers seem crooked. Buyer beware.. Overpriced and not willing to work.

WASTE OF TIME WITH BS RESULTS. GO ELSEWHERE! Spent a couple days working on financing for a new renegade to trade my car in on. I was told I needed a cosigner so my fiance did, they then called me to tell me they no longer would except my car as trade in (2013 civic low miles excellent condition) that they now wanted the vehicle my fiance had financed on his credit report. How ridiculous is it that this place thinks they can dictate what you trade in? First off its a vehicle that he cosigned for his brother that we do not even possess and second of all why would I ever buy anything from a place that expects me to keep the vehicle I am replacing as well as purchase a new one? Some common sense is lacking here. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere.

This is why Automotive repair has a bad name!!! I am James Lewis @ Southsideautorepair here in Lexington Ky and a customer of mine that i had just replaced the timing belt and water pump and idlers and tensioner due to maintenance, had a electrical issue while out on the road. Their vehicle was towed to Grindstaff automotive group in from the interstate as a shutoff while while driving situation. The vehicle was diagnosed with TIPM shorted out PCM. Then began to throw parts at it trying to get it to start? Like a new crank sensor and spark plugs, then said that the timing belt was off ? Then my customer called us telling us there was a issue? So we had talked to the service adviser @ Grindstaff JOE WEST and said the belt came off.... We @ Southside have a 2yr 24k warranty on our repairs and part of tech net that covers coast to coast and needed to be towed to one of our tech net facility to be repaired under warranty. JOE WEST Said that the vehicle couldnt leave till the work they did under warranty was paid!!! So I needed to take care of my customer and paid to put a belt on the van, and said that i needed all old parts back. The customer returned me ONLY A BELT! With no other parts.... I called back to Grindstaff and talked to Joe and he told me that the belt was off when it was towed in.... Then he backed up and told me that the belt was off 3 teeth? He then told me to hang on and gave me his manager. The manager told me the belt was off three teeth not completely off??!? So I asked him the question.....? So you think it would have made it from lexington ky to Elizabethton Tn ?? His answer........ No? So needless to say, I was charged for a repair that wasnt needed! The manager told me he was willing to do nothing to correct this issue!

They failed to call with updates, replaced parts that were not bad, stopped work due to a broken tool and then failed to follow up on the delivery status of the tool once ordered.After 3 weeks of me asking them to track the tool through fedex they discovered it was at a mechanics house and they had to go get it.I made the 3 hour trip 3 times because they said it was fixed. All three times it died and would not restart before leaving the lot. They would not return my calls when I left messages ( 1 to 2 perday when they had not called the previous day to update me. They had the vehicle for 7 months!I stopped calling them at the 4 month mark and it took them 3 months to call me after it was fixed! The bill was almost 7,000 dollars. Other dealers priced the parts they replaced 75% cheaper (I called 3 other dealers for price checks on all parts after I got the vehicle back. When this place was owned by the Grindstaffs it was a great place. Now it lacks discipline and effective management.
