This is a review for a Best Buy warranty experience I just had. I purchased a computer monitor online for my son. After having it for only a couple months part of the screen has turned dark. I called the best buy support center Geek squad number. I explained to the Geek Squad representative that I purchased the monitor online and did not purchase the extended warranty so I wanted to find out if I needed to contact the manufacturer or if Best Buy would be able to help. The representative told me that all monitors have a minimum of at least one year warranty so I could bring it to the local best buy and the geek squad could help me. She scheduled an appointment for me.So I brought in the monitor to the Geek Squad. As soon as I put the monitor on the counter the Geek Squad rep told me they do no cover monitors and could not help me in any way. So I asked to speak to the Geek Squad manager. He told me that he could do nothing since it was past the 15 day return period, even after I told him that The Geek Squad call center told me to bring it here. He said that the call center is not part of their local facilities, that the Best Buy support is a separate cooperate entity. I even asked to talk to the store manager because I found it hard to believe that no one could help me. I was told that the store manger was not currently there, and even if he was he couldnt help me. So I wasted my time and gas on a 30 minute drive for me, and my son was very disappointed.Usually I really enjoy purchasing from best buy, but after this experience and witnessing their lack of customer support on a newly purchased item- I will be buying elsewhere from now on!
Picked up my Metroid Dread amiibos using curbside pick up. They ran my items out super fast. The employee checked to make sure I was the correct person. Great job Best Buy!
My favorite best buy! They always have what i need and want. Curb pick up is always fast and easy. Customer Service is always impeccable. Always helpful. This js a great store. Preferred over the one on Arden.

We are seniors who needed direction with our cell phones. Justin was the most helpful person we had both ever met in the world!!! If I owned a business in his field I would offer him a position as a trainer. Other employees would benefit from his direction! From now on I will always go to Justin. Thankyou Best Buy for hiring such a wonderful and helpful individual!
The tech team was a little lacking in customer service skills. However, the salesman, Gavin, who ended up helping us after we left the tech area, was very helpful. Gavin answered all my daughters questions and was very knowledgeable and helpful.
Not many electronic stores left. This store has a good selection. Staff always helpful. Prices competitive. Good location near freeway and plenty of parking.

The 3 Stars is for Best Buy as a whole. At times, the internet says one thing, customer service says another and in store is different still. The staff at the Elk Grove, CA store is friendly (5*). However, sometimes information is inconsistent (4*). What makes it worse, is they dont want you calling the store directly . Calls go to customer service. If you have a situation at your local store, CS recommends you go to the store. Not convenient at all. So by the time Im in store, Im not in the greatest of moods. Especially when it a situation that I should be able to handle over the phone. Overall 3 Stars.
Specifically I was looking for a senior phone for a relative of mine. The selection at Best Buy was less than adequate. Walmart had a much better selection of phones that fit my criteria. Also, at Best Buy I had to wait a long time for anyone to help me. It seems like everyone that came into the store went to the mobile phone section.
FIX THE ORDER PICKUP POLICY. At checkout online, you have to select (have other pickup) because, even if you have the person who ordered the items order number, phone number, last name, and drivers license, they wont give you the items. (Maybe they wanted me to put on a wig and impersonate another person which is a very weird request from Best Buy also Illegal?). I had to personally re-purchase the items (that were literally in front of me already paid for) and then cancel the order online.Also I orginally requested these items be shipped, I got half my order the other half was randomly cancelled for shipping by Best Buy.
I tried to make a return at this location and the customer service rep couldnt figure out what she was doing. She called another girl that claimed to be the General Manager who couldnt figure it out as well. It took 45 minutes for these incompetent employees to completely make me frustrated and waste my time.Long story short: I went directly to the Best Buy near the Arden Mall and the customer service rep was able to get me in and out in less than 2 minutes. The Elk Grove Best Buy is bad...the Arden Best Buy is good. The end.
Picked up a small tv ordered via Amazon. Someone had brought out a 1080p version vs the 4k ordered by they caught it and resolved it. Tv works, good deal in price
The customer service could use a little more help. It seems like everyone there is trying to get a sale and never really ask you what you really want or need. They talk to you like theyre all robots. Can I help you. Then they leave just as fast as they ask you do you need help. Nice clean store however, but the people need more work. When you spend money at a store or anywhere, you need to be treated like they care, if thats to much to ask get a new job somewhere else!
My all in one PC on last leg so they sold me a new one which they promised to be much better we will see
Went to this store in Elk Grove because the Woodland store didnt stock what was wanted. We paid for this phone at the Woodland store. As we were greeted immediately; nice, we gave them the printed copy of the phones pickup instructions. Riki, retrieved it, handed the new phone to my 81 friend and began to walk away. I said, Wait, we need someone to transfer all the info from his Google phone to this Samsung.Riki then stated Are you a member of Best Buys Geek Squad? We said, No. For a technician to do this task, my friend had to pay $199 and join! I think this is a Rip Off!Id purchased my phone just 2 weeks prior and did not have to pay extra to have the data from my old phone, transfered to my new cell. I did not buy my new phone from Best Buy, just a place that sold various brands of cell phones. Disappointed with Best Buy to charge someone this service.
Today I walked in to look for a decent laptop for work, and I never expected to have such a great experience. From the moment I walked up to the laptop section, Avi stepped up and assisted me. She was so sweet and very helpful from the beginning. I was very hesitant to buy one right then and there but she helped me get a really good deal on a laptop and she knew how to ease my concerns. She answered all my questions and made the process so easy. I walked out super excited with the deal, the quality of the laptop and very satisfied with her customer service skills. Avi is definitely a great asset to the tech team, thanks for you help girl!!

The customer service inside this store is great! I bought a freezer with lots of help and good discount. However, the third party delivery service that Best Buy used is miserable. My order was delayed in delivery again and again for the past three weeks. Today, when I check my order status, it showed, “refund is in process”… Seriously? Without notifying me of anything?Don’t buy any thing in Best Buy. It’s not that these stores don’t have good customer service, but this company can’t choose their partnerships right and can’t treat customers right.
Went in, found salesperson and bought a brand new LE washing machine. All went seamless. I dont know what the price was. I didnt care. I just needed a new washing machine for my son and his family.

I purchased DVD player with streaming future at bestbuy.com . But, needed to exchange to other model so, I chatted someone first and he suggested to bring it to nearest store to exchange. He even researched the inventory what i wanted at store near me have it or not. Visited to the store and exchang were really smooth everyone was helpful.

Best buy is always good when it comes to merchandise. However, prices are also always high. You can find some good deals on s rare occasion.
Best Buy - Saturday July 3, 2021 - Returning Megaboom 3 I bought yesterday, brand new off the shelf. It didnt have enough power/volume for the bike party I was attending plus the music kept shutting off when my screensaver came on. The cashier said the serial numbers did not match on the box and the equipment and she wouldnt be able to refund me my money! I told her I want a manager and he said the same thing! Frustrated I demanded another manager and he remembered me visiting the store the first time. If it wasnt for him I would not get my money back. Thank you! Next time I buy something from Best Buy I will check all the serial numbers myself before I leave the store! Buyer beware!
Well I was just there returning an item and it went pretty easy. Best buy is Best buy not really much of a choice anymore. If you need an electronic item fast thats the only choice you have nowadays. No sale prices.

Bought a new washer/dryer set.As always very nice, easy to work with, answered all my questions.
Customer service has gone down hill. I had a replacement under warranty (zagg iPhone shield) and during one of my replacement I got upgraded because the product was on sale at that time. During my warranty exchange today the manager told me I would have to pay more because it was no longer on sale if I wanted the same upgraded product. They said I originally bought a cheaper product and its no longer on sale. so I had to pay the $10 upcharge. I purchase stuff at Costco and dont have to deal with this over $10.
Today I was serviced by a young man named Raphael. This young man was patient, kind, efficient & effective. His customer service was extraordinary!! We knew nothing about laptops and he made it easy and was extremely informative about which laptop I needed it was my first laptop! I will never forget his name. Thank you Raphael!!!

Im sure others will have a different opinion. My last visit was great. I got in, no problem. I did have to wait a little while for help, but no where near the amount of time at AT&T.Nadia was very helpful and gave me the customer service that is lacking in other places.She did a basic setup and transferred my data and pictures from my old phone.Another place I visited (AT&T) said they wouldnt have time to do that.
Best Buy is the only real place to go for electronics in Elk Grove. The past few times Ive been there the staff have seemed less than friendly and unhappy to be working there... with one exception. A gentlemen by the name of Andre works in the camera area and Ive found him to be very professional and super knowledgable about camera/drone/software etc. Hes a great resource and I believe he adds huge value to customers.One other thing Id like to note; They will match other companies prices... however there are several conditions with that offer. For example: If the price match is from AMAZON, it must be supplied directly by AMAZON. So be careful if you walk in thinking youll get a price match.One last point: Ive been to Best Buy numerous times to purchase something only to find out they would have to order it online to be delivered in 7 to 10 days. So i go to Amazon and have it in two days. I think the only real value of having a brick and mortar is to actually have products at the store, so i think Best Buy could improve on this.
I made the trip to return my Pixel Buds 2, and unfortunately I had just missed the date to return them by one day.It was a bit of a bummer at first, but they graciously allowed me to make an exchange, and as luck would have it, they were running a special on Sony headsets for about the same price, so I really lucked out!Apart from this incident, the staff are always very attentive and knowledgeable and Ive never had a bad experience at this location.

Went into Best Buy yesterday to look for a computer part for an old Cintiq. Gaven was the associate that helped me but when it came to the unusual part, he found that the part was not available in store but it could be ordered and later delivered. I appreciate his help and look forward to shopping at Best Buy again. Gavin is a great employee and truly cares about helping customers. I appreciated his customer service:)
This store gets a firm 3 stars, prices are okay, and service was friendly, after the 30 minutes it took to get an associates attention. Once I got helped l, I was out quickly with no trouble. Id recommend trying to shop when they arent swamped
Had an issue with a return where I wanted to speak to a manager..... Was told none were available..... Called the store number and was told they are not accepting calls.... Called the corporate number and was told I couldnt speak to a manager either.... Save you money and time and shop somewhere where you can speak to someone. The only reason to shop at a physical store anymore is customer service and this store has none.... Sad

Their black Friday deals are amazing! I got a pair of wireless Bose headphones for $170 (original price was $200) I love them and the sound quality is perfect! Definitely worth buying them! I also applied for a best buy credit card and the cashier was super nice and patient while we were asking questions. Everybody in the store was super helpful and nice😁

Poor service and uneducated employees.I spend 3 hours to buy a new phone, the guy named John couldnt help me at all and he wasted all my day. He was also a bit rude and no respect for customers. I dont know that was his real name or no but at least no one else came to help me no manager on duty. So many people were asking for help but their management was super weak and unhelpful. Ill definitely not recommend this branch and it was my last trip to this wild store.
I like tech stores and technology myself so i always have fun in here but they can come off as pushy 4 sales because your always getting hit by 2 sales members a section then when u dont buy seems like security is on u 4 the rest on the time which is annoying but it is what it is frys is better in that way tho cause you can search their whole inventory without being bothered and when u need something someone is there
The curbside pickup definitely couldve been smoother. I do understand the are cyber monday sales yet I ordered a mouse approximately two hours and thirty minutes ago and I still have not received the email verifying that my order is ready for pickup. There are only about thirty minutes left until closing. I really hope that Best Buy can come in clutch tonight wish me luck.

The associates and people here are nice and patient. I needed help in the Geek Squad department and they were able to assist and fix my laptop problems.
In store reps are ok. They want to sell and they offer all kinds of things. Some needed some NOT. Phone calls do not go through. Customer service via geek squad is very difficult. Deliveries and installations are delayed with no additional explanation. Calling geek squad to get clarification and direction, I was transferred at least 8 times. Services at Best buy is not like it use to be. Yet they are considered essential and was open through the whole pandemic.

No hassle return. Def recommend getting best buy account associated with mobile#. Had lost paper receipt but was able to get a product exchanged without drama because about to pull it up with mobile#. Giving 5 stars but sexy evil best buy lured me into buying a Chromebook tablet that was on sale. Stupid things wifi is so weak its showing medium strength next to a router it could touch tips with if wanted.

It was a good experience, went in shopping for a new Laptop computer. The hard part was dealing with a salesperson wearing a mask whom I couldnt hear or watch his lips move.It was a positive experience other than that.

Lower rating had a hard time getting assistance while at the Elk Grove Store. When I was able to get someones attention he was walked me over to where the product of interest was located. Down graded only because I stood in line while a clerk help a customer before me for almost ten minutes... Making several trips away from the register/ computer for look for something. Not once acknowledge or inquiring if I had a quick question.
Baught a 24in Tv, it had no remote, i got it on sale. So i returned it and I went and picked out 32in for 35.00 more and it was fast friendly service all the way through. Good job best buy

The employees here are rude. They should rename this store to Cant Buy. Because when you try to get employee assistance the answer is always: Thats not my department, I dont know. This location may as well be shut down because the service is wretched.
They still try and make you feel bad for not buying warranty or Norton. Its 2020 come on. Geek Squad charges way too much to do a simple bios reset and they call it speeding up your pc The TV department is pretty helpful though and they know what they are talking about and manufacturer defects to expect. They get an extra star. Riki is always helpful and points out the best deals so he also earns a star.
Lots of employees everywhere asking for customer’s needs/wants. But they seem too pushy about trying to sell you something. I don’t like having to always tell them off because i’m just looking.

I had ordered a 70 TV for Black Friday and had it delivered on Sunday. When I went to unbox the TV, I noticed there was a crack in it so I went in yesterday to return it. The young lady (blonde) who helped me was awesome! She was so helpful and got the return line moving very quickly with very little wait time. She helped me load up the TV onto a cart and bring it into the store for return. She was able to help me return the TV, but unfortunately did not have the TV in stock. I will definitely buy again from this store. She made the customer service experience an easy transaction.

I work in the restaurant industry... So in September i wanted to give my niece a ps4 for Christmas... I found out later my brother got her a ps5... Everything in its original shipping not opened.. And i couldnt even return it... Just so disappointed that a big Corp like u cant even accommodate someone like me in these times.. I was trying to make my niece happy for Christmas.. It obviously back fired ... But really have a heart... Box is unopened... Just would love my money back.. Shame on u ... 2020 was awful enough... But hey good on u for taking advantage of us...
