Home Depot was not too crowded, required masks, had multiple hand sanitizing stations, shields for cashiers, and social distancing reminders. They had about 1 employee on duty for every 5 to 10 customers so it was easy to get questions answered. I was able to get in and out quickly. I had ordered flooring tile . Was told order is ready for pickup. I went ahead and paid the contractor for days work. Once I went to pick up the order they couldnt find it. Waiting 2 hours now .

Im usually a regular customer of Home Depot and stopped by the Elk Grove location to buy a kitchen appliance package for our new kitchen. I was ready to spend in excess of $10,000 and the lady that helped me needs some training on customer service. I asked her if they could offer a discount since we were spending a large amount of money and she initially said no that there were no special discounts (mind you it is Labor Day) so I asked her to page a supervisor and they spoke on the phone for a bit and said the best he could offer was $100 in total. I said thank you very much and drove across the street to Lowes and the lady was exceptional and took the time to look everything up and offered me a 10% discount on my entire order. It looks like I will be taking my business to Lowes!

It was pretty quiet at night, and the workers seemed to be pretty casual. Things were clean and pretty well stocked, but some prices werent labeled well. Overall, its a decently average Home Depot. Side note: their Christmas stuff is now out in full swing!

Two half stars. I dont think teenage girls or very young adult women should be handling the construction area. They were interesting! I waited in line with a bag of sand. The coworker says to the line I waiting in. That Im waiting, she says oh I helping someone else. ( Clue, shouldnt you have said oh miss I helping someone else now if your in a rush feel free to enter the other line.) Then the other coworker helped me and call someone else to get the sand in the car.

Just had an awful experience attempting to return product for a hopeful store credit just to be informed that the policy changed and that I can not receive a store credit without a receipt or the card being present. I have the card but it was deactivated before the attempted return and as I didn’t have a receipt for this purchase in my possession I could not be helped. My frustration is less with the policy change and more so with the fact that I had to transport 5, 60 pound bags of concrete totaling 300lbs in total, to and from my vehicle just to be informed of this new policy. I will no longer be doing business with any HomeDepot locations as they can’t even communicate a simple policy change!

Remodeling my Grandmas house! They had everything she wanted for fixing her place up from flooring to installation dry wall and everything in-between with U-tube tutorials and Home Depot the job got done and Grandmas happy..

This is a review for George in appliances only, and not a review of the dirty, messy store. George is wonderful! What a stellar employee. Super helpful, friendly, and knowledgable. If youre buying an appliance, I recommend seeking out George to help you. Hes so good, I dont know what hes doing at Home Depot, honestly.

Go in! Dont call! You will get super frustrated with the Home Depot employees constantly putting you on hold if you call. Plus it rings for about 5-10 minutes before someone even answers. Theyll place you on hold and transfer you until the call drops. I called 5 times finally reaching someone.I just wanted to check if they had a rug doctor on hand to rent so i didnt waste my time to drive in and find out if they didnt have it. Luckily they had it..If the customer service was as good on the phone as they are in person this place would be 5 stars. But they arent.

For the 1st time I didnt have to hunt very far for an associate! Ive spent my share of time & 💰 money here so I recognized many of the associates from a good 5+years ago. It was a nice familiar feeling. One of the 1st big stores Ive been in since the pandemic. Another thing I like is theres always a home builder or contractor who I can ask questions about things. It was a good experience! 😉🎈

Purchased lawn furniture which was to be delivered to the Elk Grove store within 10 days. I waited for two weeks. I then started calling, texting, emailing and all I got was they were checking on it. I NEVER got a call back a text or an email. Now I find out thru calling the 800 number that supposedly UPS delivered it to the store but the store claims they never received it. So that leaves me right in the middle. I have had to reorder the furniture that was a birthday present which is long over and hope that I get it in the next 14 days. WORST customer service EVER!!! I will still shop at Home Depot but ONLY if I can walk in the store pick the item up and go thru self checkout. So much for caring about your customers!!!

Personally I always love these type stores, but I myself definitely got great customer service from George Curry, and I witnessed both he and his supervisor provide great customer service to a disgruntled customer who had a Dead on Delivery dishwasher, so it didnt seem like I was the only one getting good service from these folks.

I love this store, everyone is friendly from pro with Tina, Rita and D all the way to every department, when I needed helped always someone has been there. Outside young people helping and approaching people to asking if they can help loading, this is out of what I have seen at other stores where you see them outside stalking and ignoring people trying to get attention for assistance.Now, what is really impressive at set Home Depot Elk Grove, is how fast my pick-up orders are ready! In a blink of an eye 😀 I have been in NY, FL, Wisconsin and almost at every store in IL and no other stores around cannot compared to their excellent customer service and a speed to have every order ready. It is game changing, it makes my job more easier since I just need to focus on getting it done instead of thinking about time consuming when it come to shopping. Love everyone there and the young lady that is the manager assistant is the best, she was there for me when I needed 100% to fix my problem. Keep it up Elk Grove 🧡🧡🧡

Seriously? You don’t have a single shovel to sell in your store? It’s a shovel! When I asked why they don’t have any shovels to sell, the reply was, “yeah, we always run out of those.“ There is a simple solution to that: Order more shovels!! This isn’t rocket science! A Home Depot should not be completely out of shovels.

Terrible customer service.. we’re tryin to buy a couple of lawn mowers this morning and I ask for assistance 2x and not even a single staff approached us even they already hear it in their intercom. So we decided to go to home depot meadowview and buy those stuff and they have a way better customer service and got the mowers in just 15mins! I lived in elk grove and will definitely go back in home depot meadowview if I’ll needed to buy something in there rather than wait and ignored in home depot elk grove with their stubborn staff! This is the 2nd time I experienced these kind of customer service in that store so I’m done with them!

NO MORE SHOPPING AT HOME DEPOT, yesterday during peak rush HD only had Self Check out lines open. Where you have use a hand held scanner, left my items in cart I went to Lowes.

I like the atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Not everything is in stock and some items are pricey compared to competitors but as for location, its convenient. Checkout lines are often long. Some people (🙋‍♀️) go into panic just waiting in long lines. Ive tried different hours throughout the day. Its always busy. It does go pretty quickly though. Clean store!!

So you rent a truck with half a tank of gas and get charged a ridiculous amount for gas when you return the truck. Not very wise...

Good prices and selecting. Horrible service, literally dozens of associates standing around talking to eachother and not helping customers. I walked past (with in 6 ft) nine associates and not one of them asked me if I needed any help. While shopping an area (fasteners) one did ask me to move out of his way so he could downstock some product.... But didnt ask if I needed anything....

Great values! But always so crowded. Parking is a little difficult & have to watch out for people pulling out of their parking space. Because they dont pay attention. Over all happy & just look forward to getting out. Life has been hard over the last 15 months.

All the workers were knowledgeable, and they were very friendly.

Had an issue w a grill delivered without being assembled. Called in am next day and Efron the manager was quick to fix the issue. With help from Eric in the delivery apartment they actually picked up the box that the grill was still in, brought it back assembled it and brought it back to me the same day outstanding customer service thank you!!! 👍

I have liked Home Depot for a long time. Recently, their customer service has declined. Most recently, I was looking at a big purchase and was passed off 2x before someone called for assistance. After waiting 15 min, I decided to look elsewhere. Sorry Home Depot.

I used to love going to this Home Depot, it always has had what I need. Unfortunately they are not enforcing the mask requirement anymore, or sanitizing their carts, like they were in the beginning of Covid. I was there picking up items for my ongoing duplex renovation and I saw multiple people without masks throughout the store (not one or two, but at one point I counted more than 5 in my view line at the registers). When I asked the cashier if they were not enforcing the mask requirement anymore they did not address my question, just shuffled me to a register.I will not be going here anymore, after being a loyal customer of 5 years. I will be going to the Power Inn Rd location because they sanitize their carts and enforce the mask requirement.

Horrible place to buy big appliances!I purchased my refrigerator on 8/31/2020Initially my fridge was going to get delivered today 9/25/2020 because it was in back order and this was the earliest the manufacturer was able to get them out. Which I understood. Today (9/25/2020) my fridge was delivered. The delivery guy, which by the way did not even bother to wear a face mask inside my home, he said that the fridge had dents in the front door. So I refused the delivery. He told me to call the store back and see when they could send me a new one. I called Home Depot multiple times. No one picked the phone and I could not leave a voicemail with the appliance department because their voicemail was full. After waisting all morning trying to get in contact with them, I was finally able to get in contact with the delivery department. I told them my situation and that I would like to schedule a delivery for my new fridge because the first one they delivered was damage. After putting me on hold for a while, the guy tells me they will delivered it to me on November 11, 2020 because they have to wait for the manufacturer! They did not try to reach out to the manufacturer and explain the situation, it’s not my fault the fridge was damaged, why do I need to wait all over again for something that is not my fault, they should try to make this right but instead I got NO apology, NO nothing ! This is ridiculous! I’m NEVER buying any appliances from Home Depot again!! I WOULD RATE THEM A ZERO IF POSSIBLE! Words can not express how disappointed I am. After waisting $4,000 I at least deserve an apology.

Do not do special orders from here if at all possible. 2x now they have miss received our pro orders and entered wrong item as recieved and have lost our items.

My wife paid for an item and set it up for car delivery. App was easy to use and the item was delivered to the car in less than 5 minutes. The young lady that brought it out was friendly. Overall a good experience.

A manager by the name of Yesenia refused to tell a staff member to wear her mask properly when the employee had her mask below her chin and was not remaining 6 ft apart from others. This is the employee who refused to wear her mask properly. Ill never go back to home Depot again. This photo keeps getting deleted from this review. This is a public setting and there is no expectation of privacy. It has also been sent to the county public health dept.

Home depot is a very good house hold store. You need more help with the cashiers. One told us to go to the help yourself register then another comes and tells us that that one is closed. Then we try to get more help and your cashiers are Lost. I was starting to get madif it wasnt for my mother I would have been yelling at everyone. Again get People that know what they are DOING. I wont be going back to the elk grove home depot again. I will find a better place to go

I really prefer Home Depot; however, theyre definitely not on top of their game when it comes to online orders. I wont go into the problem I had with a previous online order but I did go in for a pickup of a different online order and lets just say that nobody seems to be on the same page as far as who picks and who stores for pickup. I will continue ordering products through Home Depot because I really like the selection, but please make sure what was ordered was actually picked and dont try to offer a different product when you cant find something easily that you supposedly already picked.

Cannot even provide a paint mixer. Bad customer service in paint area. I will never go back. Lowes is better.

Please chose good customer service over cheap labor!!! Support employment; hire some cashiers! It’s seen as you being a cheap employer!!!!

Ill give them one star. Old ladies are evaded by employees. They know we need more help than anyone else. Most of the time, they call someone and wait for half an hour and nobody comes. Many times I spend 5hours just going around looking where things are and looking around for someone to help me. I get more help from customers. I GET DEPRESSED when I shop at Home Depot. Things need to change.

My most visited store.... today I got a good deal on stressed out plants. 50% off. In fact theres 4 pallet loads of plants that just need a little water and TLC. I can give them that... I bought 3 1 gallon red tip petunias 3 dollers each. And a couple other plants like sage.

If you need it these guys got it the store is well kept very helpful people plenty of parking prices are little bit High especially in the garden area but sometimes theyre the only place around that has it so you use your own judgment

Called for product to see if they had it in stock and was met with a horrible extremely rude sounding Lady. Asked simple question very nicely and stated I had SKU to give and she said WHAT DO U NEED? ONE MINUTE and put me on hold for 7 min I hung up and left this review because it sounded like someone answered and would instantly put phone on hold again definition of a trash employee that has no business with the home depot I had just called E hammer location and the lady that answered was extremely nice and gave me answer less than a minute said this one had it in stock called to make sure and bad call!

Lowes let us down. Thry sold our order right out from under us. Wrnt to Home Depot and got everything we needed. We were helped right away and were out of there in a flash.

That store has an overall friendly staff, every single area that I walk, employees were very helpful, the manager is very nice. I got some Poinsettia there to give to my customers and they were on sale, I totally recommend to everyone to go and check it out that store.

We enjoy shopping at home depot. They had a great spring sale. We paid $10 for 5 bags of soil and $10 for 5 bags of mulch.
