I went to the dealership because I heard squealing in my rear brakes. After a diagnostic, I needed rear break pads and drums .The dealership wanted to charge me over $800 to fix. That is absurd!! I called Brake Masters. I spoke with one of their Technician Specialist “Kenny”. Not only did he give me a better deal, he also broke down the parts and labors to where I understood the process easier. After diagnostics, he found that my HUB Assembly would need to be looked at soon. So far this place has been great ! Thanks Kenny and Brake Masters!! I would recommend you to anyone needing services.

Walked in on a Monday morning with no appointment as I was from out of town and needed unexpected service on my brakes. The salesperson, Sam, was very helpful. He gave me a really good deal on rotor replacement and the team was able to bring in the parts from the warehouse nearby and change them out very quickly, within two hours of my showing up. I was promised 7-10 days for an engine replacement. Almost 3 months later I got my truck back with unresolved issues.I returned it after a day for the AC and other minor things. I learned a few days later after calling in the AC was fixed the next day. It was being held while they waited for parts.10 days later I just went and got it. Who knows when or if they’ll ever fix this new noise emanating from the engine.

I went there because I was told by a certain oil change company that I needed new brakes.Spoke with Sam on the phone and he was super friendly, knowledgeable, and personable. I was told to bring my car in at a certain time and ask for him. He was busy with another customer so I spoke with Derrick instead. Derrick turned out to be amazing as well, friendly and straightforward. After the inspection it turned out that I only needed new rears instead of both.I was informed of this and offered the different option levels. The car was done quickly, and I was able to pick it up straight away.I could not recommend this place any higher, I grew up in a small enough town that we all knew each other. Getting my car serviced here felt like that, like they genuinely cared about my experience.

Do not go here. Please. You will be sorry.Bearing went out 2 weeks after brake service and oil change. Take it back. They charge me 400. Now I just went to take the car in for an oil change to a different spot and they just called me to tell me the oil cap was missing and the dip stick was half was out. Now there’s oil all over my engine. Never in my life have I heard of such incompetence. Please don’t go here.

Not good. Dropped car off for a fuel injection service. They kept the car all day and finally called at the end of the day and stated we would need to take it to the dealer. They could not access the fuel injection module. Terrible service, hold on to a customers car all day and finally tell them you cant perform the service. Waste of time going there.

Every place I called for brake service gave me an off the wall kind of price but these guys gave me a great price & their staff was so kind! We actually drove an 1 hr & 45 minutes just get the work done here just because they gave me a good price for brakes & motor mounts as well. Going back soon to get some more work done. I had ordered the royal flush which includes transmission flush brake fluid flush power steering flush radiator flush coolant flush and none of it was actually performed .when my wife drove the car back the coolant was almost over due to leaking because they had forgotten to close the cap so I took it to the low nearest store to have it redone and three four years later we found out that they never actually did the transmission flush either because my car broke down dude overheating of transmission. when we took it to the store for repair they told us that the transmission fluid had never been changed because of which it was overheating I would absolutely never recommend like Masters at elk Grove .

Great first experience. Professional presentation and lobby kept clean while waiting. Wifi was very slow but still worked. They gave a free inspection and explained what causes warping and explained the current condition of my brakes. They show no need for rears which was same as quoted from a competitor. Honest work here.. Pricing with coupons online make me a return customer in the future.

Ive been taking my car here for oil changes the last 9 years. They take a really long time even with appointments scheduled ahead of time, but I never have any issues with their service. I also have lifetime break with them.

This place is amazing. The diagnosed a problem with my brakes and fixed them the same day. The staff was very friendly and answered all the questions I had. They also gave me advise on what signs to look for if I had any concerns in the future.

Poor customer service. Dropped by car in the morning and was not given any updates on when the car would be completed. I had to proactively call in to obtain status updates - we have not gotten to it yet. Car sat for 7 hours in the parking lot before the work began. Worked was completed after the posted shop close time at 5:30pm. Will not do business with again.

Well I was there 6 months ago and they gave me an estimate of $1800 and,I thought wow thats expensive. So I went to Big O Tires on Calvine and said,Lady you dont need brakes.I went back to Brake Masters again I really need brakes now,had forgotten that I had been there before and they had lie to me.So I walk away they said it was going to be 500 and something,but when I called about the prices they said it was going to be $199,so I asked about that they said it was per set.So I said you should say that on the phone .Tomorrow Im going to have it done at a place where they fix a tire that was flat 3 weeks ago,for a reasonable and unbelievable price.

Great team ! No one tried to sell me anything. I came in because of a strange noise from my rim . They put it up on lift, checked thoroughly for noise and also inspected everything under the car. Magically, I walked away with no noise and didn’t pay a dime. I highly recommend these professionals. Nico really took care of my situation.

Ive gone there twice and both times I received excellent service! I had another place wanted to charge over $400. 00 for Brakes I went there and I walked out paying $85. They were great. The next time they fixed my air conditioner again reasonable $65.00 and very quickly, had my part delivered! in less than 15 min.and very professional and courteous . I was very pleased with their work and prices as well as customer service.

I have been here once before with my Dodge Ram 1500 in 2015 they were great . But NOW HORRIBLE SERVICE. Went there to see if they could service my car this time. Very VERY VERY VERY RUDE. Only one car in the garage and no customers in the lobby. I walked in and i was not greeted. They informed me that they could not check my breaks out that day because they were closing in 1hour and 20mins and they couldnt help me till next week . Will never go back to them. Ive been a loyal customer to this location for 11 years. After some managment changes this place has completely gone downhill. Ive had multiple issues my last 3 visits and refuse to go back. Theyve claimed to do my paid for tire rotations with my Full service oil change but the tire shop and wear on only 2 tires proves otherwise. Half the time there isnt someone at the desk. Ive always made appointments and still have had to wait and entire day(picked up an hour before closing) for an oil change that was scheduled around opening(3 visits ago). 2 visits ago they wanted to charge me $200 for parts and labor on a spring that costs under $50. They somehow forgot to put my dipstick back in my car this last visit but say that it is impossible for their employee to do that. Another charge out of pocket for something they lost. Never again this place has turned to crap. Horrible and rude customer service that only cares about adding charges.

I had an appointment this morning at 9:30 am. I was told it could be about an hour before my truck could be seen. My vehicle was still sitting in parking lot shortly after 10:30, before I decided to leave.? I was told that they are running a bit behind. So why set an appointment?

Save your money and go to a place you can trust !!!Told my wife she needed new breaks and her rotors ground down . Short version went for second opinion at D&T repair on Stockton Blvd . And breaks had 80% and rotors didn’t need to be shaved down .You can only be dishonest so long before you go out of business.My wife went in today with out me know for oil change and they said my battery is bad and it needs to be replaced for $150 really car is 4 years old brand new from the lot . Battery is under warranty if it is bad . Also the car started fine and to me the battery is bad when my car doesn’t turn over anymore .I am going to have my battery tested and see if it’s really a problem and will post a picture for all to see .

Incompetent or Crooks you decide.Summary: They tried to sell my 68-year-old mother on replacing her engine for [$3000 ($2700+ tax and disposal)] when the only issue was that she had overfilled the engine with oil.Longer version: My mom her her oil changed by Jiffy Lube on Auto Center drive and they did not put enough oil in the car. My mom checked the oil the next day and saw there was only a tiny bit on the end of the dip stick (probably 1 quart low) so she went to the OReilly Auto Parts on Elk Grove Blvd. They “helped” her by telling her that her car was completely out of oil and told her to put 3 quarts in. They even put it in the car for her…. How nice. They told her to check every day and showed her on the dip stick where the level should be. The location they showed her was about twice the distance up from the “top dot.” My mom checked every day and on the days after she had driven (most days) she needed to add about a half a quart to bring it back to the O’Reilly’s suggested level.My mom thinking that she had a massive leak brought her car to Brake Masters #195 on Elk Grove Blvd. They told her that every gasket was leaking due to the crud build up on every gasket surfaces even though this is common for older vehicles. Please note that there are no recent oil drips on my mom’s driveway. They concluded that she needed a new engine and told her it was a great deal to get a slightly used engine for only $3000. I talked to my mom for 5 minutes on the phone from 400 miles away and figured out the engine had too much oil in it. I had her get an oil change and now the car has gone 2 weeks without a change in oil level.

Sure, the work might get done, but if you go in expecting to only pay 100 something, you might leave paying 500 something.Put in perspective, they completely rebuilt my brake system on a SUV that had sat for 15 years.

I had a rear brake job done here on 5-27-2014. At that time, the employee sold me on purchasing the Lifetime warranty and told me if I buy this package Ill never have to worry about paying for another rear brake job again. On the receipt was written lifetime brake service includes: Lifetime Warranty on brakes pads, rear brake Hardware kit, and labor includes replace rear brake pads, replace hardware, and resurfacing rotors as necessary. Employee just told me that the lifetime warranty doesnt include labor, which contradicts the printed warranty. Complete and total ripoff. Brake Masters motto is An Honest Brake is a misnomer. The company is disingenuous, they fail to live up to their end of the warranty, and they rip off the customer in the process. Avoid this establishment at all costs. A more appropriate motto for them would be A Dishonest Brake.

I have to give this drop in a 1000 stars!! Niko(sp), Sam and the whole crew did a fantastic job for a Friday night even though alot of us did not have a appointment. They were completely honest and did not try to charge me nor others for unnecessary things which most places do. They were sooo busy still carrying a smile and ending the night with laughter. Excellent customer service. Honest, very fair prices, professional, and very thorough. Ive taken both our vehicles here for both front and rear brakes, and rotors when necessary, as well as also replacing a worn out emergency brake on a Sequoia. Recently on our other SUV--a Suburban, we had an emergency brake light come on even though it was clear the brake was disengaged. At drop off, Nicole and Dwayne were very attentive in listening to the trouble shooting that had already been done by me, including fluid check and inspection of the cable. When they called me at work to explain what they found, they indicated that upon inspection that they found that it was simply a clip that had fallen off inside the drum and fixed it--all at NO CHARGE! Id give 10 stars if I could.

4 hour wait time on a transmission flush. When they put the oil pan guard back on my truck they stripped out a bolt and neglected to put another bolt back in its original place. Now my truck knocks around as I drive down the road.I went back and asked them to fix it and I got a list of excuses. I was told 4 hours and it wouldnt be free. The lobby was FULL of angry customers who had been waiting for hours and hours.This place got comfy. The quality has gone down. They dont hold themselves accountable. Im out.

They forgot about us! Went in for an oil change and was told wait time is 1hr. Went across the street and came back 2 1/2 later and car was not touch... Sam went and talked to the tech and came back saying that theyre pulling in right now and itll be another 30 min. By the look of thier expression they know they have forgotten about us. Time is very important and I understand it may take a little longer than estimated and thats why I came back 2 1/2 hr not 1hr. Thier bay was completely empty, only one stall was being used at time of pick up.If they were truly backed up, they wouldnt pull my car in right away when I went back to pick it up. If this is the case, it wouldnt be fair to let me cut in front of other customer.What a waste of my time!

These guys suck!! called in around 2 to see if i could get an oil change. they said if i could be there by 3, no problem. i was unaware of the hailstorm, so traffic was heavy. after almost 20 miles and 40 mins, its 5 to 3 so as a courtesy, i called to tell them im only about 10 min out. all i said was im the guy you guys told to come over by 3 and hes already doing the grunts and uhhhs of i got bad news for you. so after saying i was gonna be 5 min late, he seizes the opportunity to place all the blame on me as if he wasnt about to turn me away anyway. i mean lets be real here, its only 5 min!! but he says that he had 3 or 4 other customers walk in so he had to take them. thats what appointments are for!! you either should have told them you were booked up, or told me not to waste my time and gas for nothing. these guys cant manage their appointments!! and of course, the only response i got was an extremely apathetic sorry, but their money got here first. we are a business after all. well in my book, part of a good business is customer service and good management too.
