The best mechanic I have dealt with in years!!!! It is so hard to come by honest mechanics! He told me the truth and was incredibly fair in his pricing for his services and even did small things like adding my licenses plate on, since this was a new car purchase, for free. He communicated with me and kept giving me updates throughout the service which has never been my experience with mechanics in the past. He even has lock boxes if you are picking up the car after hours. This was such a positive experience for me that I had to give a RAVING REVIEW of how great I was treated and the service I was given! Definitely recommend this Montgomery, they are seriously one in a million!

Ben was awesome!I went in the evening a little before closing time to get an estimate on my brakes and to see exactly what needed done.He and a mechanic stayed over a bit to finish up.I only needed 2 brake pads. Ben ordered the parts and I dropped it off the next morning at 8 a.m. and it was done before noon.He even answered a question I had on another vehicle and gave me a quote for that.This place is a true gem.

They might be a great shop for repairs; Ill never know. I called to make an appointment for a state inspection, so we can sell our car. I was told they could fit me in Friday morning, and that the inspection could be done within a couple hours. I brought my car in this morning, to find out that they never made an official appointment for it, and wouldnt be able to get it done in time. Were in the middle of moving, and only have one vehicle, so getting this done today was very important. Two stars, because at least they were polite while not writing anything down.

I found my go to guy. Ben is great guy and very friendly. He took care of my thing very quick and charge me very reasonable price. I am going to their shop again.

I have been going to Montgomery Service Center for about 3 years now. I havent had a single problem. I LOVE the fact that they are super punctual and transparent. If they arent going to finish on time, they will call you and let you know how much longer and why. They dont hide services. They always keep you updated on changes in price and other problems with your vehicle. 11/10 would definitely recommend.

I brought my vehicle in on July 22nd for oil pan replacement, transmission pan replace, airbag replacement, and inspection. Also asked for an estimate on painting. Never received one. They kept my car until August 26th and didn’t finish the work. I received communication only when I reached out to them. I was told that the steering wheel on my vehicle was incorrect and they had to order replacement. That was on July 22nd. I never heard from them until August 5th when I reached out. Apparently the steering wheel they ordered was incorrect and they had ordered another one. August 17th I again call them to follow up. The steering wheel was incorrect and they are now ordering one from eBay. I attempted to explain several times throughout this process they may be using the wrong parts information for my 2006 BMW 330Ci Zhp and that’s why the steering wheel/ airbag aren’t matching up. August 24th. “Everything is done except the steering wheel, you can come pick it up.” August 26th I arrive to pickup my vehicle. Airbag that came with the car is not attached to the steering wheel. Plastic shield hanging down under my car not reattached. I was so frustrated that I just paid my bill and left. I’ll never use this repair shop again.

Honest, affordable, and quick service! Ive been going to Montgomery Service Center for over a decade and have never had a bad experience. They always fix the issue and in the one instance (in 10 years) where they missed part of the problem, they did not charge me for the additional repair. I have a lot of respect for this shops integrity (not taking advantage of someone who has a limited knowledge) and go out of my way to take my car here when I need it serviced.

I had visited Montgomery service center on June first for an a Maryland state inspection, the guys over there got me right in, I ended up dropping it off but they had gotten back to me very quickly, Even tho my vehicle did not pass initially they were very good too me addressing my vehicles issue and was able to get it passed later in the day! They take the time to explain things thoroughly and they’re pricing is fair and accurate. They never overcharge me. I’ve had other mechanics charge me for things that don’t need to be done and that never happens at Montgomery service center. They are incredibly honest people and I highly recommend them!

I learned about this group because I used to live around the corner. I had an issue with my AC where my mechanic quoted me about $450. Took it to Montgomery in Elkridge and they were familiar with an issue that is common in my car with the AC. They fixed it for $80 (it was a much easier fix than my original mechanic thought). These guys are extremely trustworthy (they dont oversell unneeded services) and do good work. I moved 20 minutes away and refuse to take my car anywhere else.

Easy to set up an appointment for a convenient time. The work was completed quickly and for a good price. Will be bringing my vehicle here for any future maintenance.

They are super nice and excellent!I was in a rush to the airport but my car had an issue on highway so I had to pull over. I still had 3 hours to drive to the airport. The insurances roadside assistance took 3 hours to arrive. So I looked for auto shops on Google. The first auto shop didnt have space to fix my car right away and told me I need to wait for the next day. Out of desperate, the first auto shop told me to call this Montgomery Service Center see if they have space to fix my car. At that point I didnt know what to do other than give it a shot. I drove in, they lifted it and took a look, told me it takes 10 mins. The price was so much lower than I expected. I was actually ready to pay whatever. What is even more surprising is that they fixed it quickly and didnt even take my money.They saved my day! I cant express more how appreciated I was!Highly recommend this place if you want professional auto service and nice mechanics.

If I could give this place more that 5 stars I would. I came in on a Friday morning for my appointment and they had me in and out the door in 30 minutes for my tire patch. Great prices and fast service, they won a repeat customer.

I was referring here for a Maryland State Inspection by my friends at 2 Wheel Performance, just down the street from their shop. I called early for an appt and spoke with Ben, he said he would work me in if I could leave my truck and I’d have it back by the end of the day. I dropped the vehicle off about 9:15, got a ride from my wife and before we could get 10 miles from the shop (after stopping for a quick cup of coffee), Ben called to tell me the inspection was done. I was in and out Inc about 45 minutes and the service was awesome.Turns out I have the same rig as the owner, so they knew my vehicle well. I will return when I need service.Great group of people there, very friendly and quick to help.

When Ben tells you something is wrong with your car, that is what needs to be done, sometimes its a huge job sometimes its a small one, Ben doesnt control that. He finds out whats wrong and fixes it right the first time.

Went in to get my card fender and front door repaired. Everything went smooth and quickly. They notified me when the parts came in, when the repair started and answered all of the questions I had. Wonderful experience!

I don’t usually do Google Reviews, mostly because I don’t have a lot of time in my day, but I wanted to do this one for the shop that has saved me, over the many many years I’ve taken my car to them, lots of time and money. I started going there maybe twenty years ago … I don’t know at this point it’s been so long. I was first impressed by the little things where I wasn’t charged for something I know other shops might have gauged me on. I would take my vehicle in with a noise. I’d come back to find something was on the engine that didn’t belong. No repair. No charge. What? Many other instances, I can’t remember them all. I had a “customer for life” vehicle where the dealership offered free oil changes … then handed me a page long list of repairs they’d charge me to do. I’d take that list to Montgomery and they’d help me evaluate what was accurate for my vehicle and what was not then do the repairs at a fraction of the cost. I can’t tell you the number of times we’d leave the dealership in a panic, then call Montgomery and find we would be taken care of. This shop has given me so much peace of mind that my cars will be taken care of in the most honest and cost-efficient way possible. Thank you Shimi and Ben for the years of giving me this.I no longer even take my car for free or even cheap oil changes (which end up not being cheap). I take it right to Montgomery!But it didn’t stop there. I have also counted on Ben at Montgomery in my recent search for a used car for my daughter. We wanted to get the best car for the buck so we consulted Ben along the way. He was a great big help and even discovered problems with our most recent purchase that we were able to get fixed by the dealership for free since they were still under warranty!My suggestion to those who want peace of mind when having their car serviced? Don’t go to faceless shop because they are offering you a deal to get you in the door to hand you a list of repairs they can do. Go to Montgomery Service Center, a family-owned shop that does exactly what you hope they will do--fix your car the best way possible without draining your wallet!

Upon return, real problem identified, and then fixed. Kudos to Ben for following up and (once he realized the nature of the complaint) quickly figuring out the problem. Part took a long time, but not their fault, and they stayed in communication throughout. So - overall review is positive. I guess being busy will lead to mis-communication like we had, but stuff happens. (and I suppose I was getting new tires in another few months anyway...) Shop called immediately, expressed we had a misunderstanding about the nature of the noise, and offered to try to make it right. So customer-focus is obviously important! Well see if we can get to the bottom of the real problem - hopeful for now. Disappointed in the customer-focus. I indicated there was a noise in the front-end, and they recommended replacing the tires. I mentioned that I thought it sounded like something wrong in a bearing, and tried to talk to the mechanic, but never got a call back. I went with their recommendation, and got new tires (which I likely needed anyway.) Got the car back, and noise still there. I dont think they even test drove it after their work. I dont have time to waste taking my car back to the shop again for the same problem. Listen to your customers! (I did get a decent price on the tires w/installation, however, so there is a positive.)
