Received an online quote that I liked and scheduled an appointment for inspection and to finalize the sale. The first available appointment was 6 days later and after the inspection at that time, they claimed the used car prices have changed and dropped the offer price by $4,000 (~6%). The car was in perfect condition so they couldnt deduct anything based on the condition but cited market condition changes to lower the offered price. They should either honor the online quote that convinced me to proceed with the sale or at least give a range of offered price so that you have the full picture before going through with the inspection. Seemed like a bait-and-switch tactic and I wasted 2 hours with the inspection.
