We love you but once our Lady in charge went on sick leave, my husband Jesus Ayala went in for 2nd time ear wax removal. Whatever Chris Summers does, BOTH times he went to our GP for drops to manage the residual pain and prevent infection.

This is one of the hardest working, most customer oriented businesses I have had the pleasure of being a customer of. Chris, Katie, the front office staff are knowledgeable, patient, and very client focused. Getting hearing aids can be an emotional, difficult process but they make it as painless as possible. I tried hearing aides about 4 years ago somewhere else and they were awful. The ones Chris has me using are a HUGE improvement. Not an easy transition but if you need and want to hear better you cant do better than working with Chris. He carries many makers so will sell you the best for your needs. Also I did some price comparison and he was the lowest price.

I recently went to Coastal Hearing Aid Center and besides echoing the praises of preceding reviews, Id like to add another perspective. I went there for a promotional hearing test offer in hopes of getting a baseline exam (cant even remember when the last one was) and understanding if I had hearing damage from the years of listening to live music. I was a bit afraid of a fear-based hard sell after reading the literature.Katie did a very thorough hearing screening, then Dr Chris told me that although I had some damage, there was virtually no hearing loss, so something to keep an eye on but no action needed. I appreciated his honesty and relieving my fears, as well as the friendliness & efficiency of the office staff. Thank you!!

Sometimes, unusual things happen when you are in your 70s. Today, when I took my hearing aids out, one of the domes detached from the aid and became lodged deep in my ear canal. I went to Coastal Hearing Aid Center, as a walk-in, where I was immediately greeted by their positive and upbeat receptionist. She contacted Chris and, within minutes, he had the dome dislodged from my ear. He immediately checked my eardrum for damage. He was very upbeat, professional, empathetic and positive, as was everyone in the office. The place that I purchased my Oticon hearing aids was quite happy to take my money when I bought them, but after sales service was almost nonexistent. I cannot say enough about this wonderful team of caring people, Chris, McKallah, Jenica, Erica, etc. Ive been taking my Mom & Dad here for years now, and without exception they always provide their best. In fact they treat us like were their own family, always polite, caring and helpful. Its very apparent they truly value senior citizens and have their best interests at heart.My mom had some falls and we figured out it was due to ear wax buildup which caused vertigo and impaired her situational awareness. Interesting how wax can accumulate inside the ear canal especially with hearing aid molds in-place, and that affects ability to hear, as well as gunks up inside the hearing aids preventing them from working. The staff are really great at cleaning out the wax & tuning up the hearing aids with their great tools & equipment in their lab area. They also have sophisticated equipment for updating the programming on the hearing aids to adjust as peoples hearing changes over time.Chris is very personable and humble, and sympathizes with the struggles of the hearing-impaired. He keeps himself updated & knowledgeable with the latest state-of-the-art technologies and is now published with a great book of insights on hearing.They have a nice modern lobby seating area offering us bottled water, coffee, etc., extremely welcoming. As soon as you enter, its always a nice greeting then warm welcome and helpfulness from their staff. It is very refreshing to see such a well-run operation from entry to exit taking care of such a vital and critical requirement for people, positively improving their lives. The staff are literally the kindest, most friendly and efficient people I’ve ever encountered in a medical office. It was such a wonderful experience. Unfortunately most medical practices have really let the quality of their customer service plummet. It’s become regular practice for one to wait twenty minutes plus to be taken to an exam room just to wait another twenty minutes for the doctor. I was very pleasantly surprised to discover the efficiency of the Coastal Hearing Aid Center. I was checked in,had my paperwork filled out and was in the exam room in less that five minutes! With the Hear4Life program I pay a minimal monthly fee that covers all my expenses and upgrades. After 5 years, they are donated to someone who cant afford them and I get new one. I called for an appointment for a checkup and was given a time right away.Upon arrival, an employee greeted me and took my hearing aids to clean them. She replaced a door which was sticking. This summer I visited Coastal twice to repair my existing hearing aids. The service was great and the staff was super friendly and responsive. My existing hearing aids were quite old so I decided purchased new ones with up to date technology. While I am a relatively new patient at Coastal, I can highly recommend it.

There was a mix up with my hearing aid from Northern California and Chris was very helpful. They were very thorough. They got me started on some cortical reprogramming. This is a very professional and kind group of people.My hearing aid had to be repaired and the tech went out of her way to be sure it was paired with my phone after it was returned. She was very persistent. There was a minimal charge as I did not get the hearing aids through the practice.

After moving to California, I needed a service to help me care for my hearing aids and to assist me with my hearing disabilities. Coastal Hearing does excellent work. The instructional advice was helpful, and they adjusted my hearings aids so that I had much better clarity; not just volume.

I like the fact that educating patients is a mainstay of this center - they have available informational pamphlets with great insights showing they are on the cutting edge of audiology. Without any hesitation, I wholeheartedly recommend Chris and his staff.

I’d lost my hearing in my twenties but was really hesitant to get hearing aids until my fifties...too expensive, too unsightly, not even sure they could significantly improve my hearing! I went to see Chris at Coastal Hearing, and my very first visit, he tested my hearing, gently sharing with me how much of my ability to hear was missing. He fitted me with just the right hearing aids, and I was shocked...it felt to me like someone had removed earplugs from both my ears! He went around the corner and quietly said a few words, then asked if i’d heard what he’d said. “I can HEAR now “ was what I heard! I had tears in my eyes when I realized how amazing it was to hear clearly again!!!I would absolutely recommend Chris & his incredibly supportive staff....they let me try out my new aids for 45 days, no payment unless I was completely satisfied, as well as a no interest payment plan! They are honest, caring, & extremely good at what they do, with excellent follow up care. I usually never write recommendations, but I just cannot say enough good things about the personalized care I’ve received at Coastal Hearing! They’re the best, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my newfound ability to hear clearly!
