Great bike shop. Highly recommend these guys theyre friendly and knowledgeable. They fixed my road bike quickly, saving me from having to buy a new one. Note: I need to update my review here. I recently was in the store before Memorial Day and spotted a little Marin carbon fiber road bike, that I test rode. The price was right and I bought it from them. Very happy with the bike and the store too.

Being a bike noob (and a female) I was pretty wary of walking into a bike shop and asking for help for fear of being man-splained and belittled because I didnt know how to fix my flat tire. But I worried for nothing! The guys at Velosoul were incredibly kind and helpful (and didnt make me feel dumb!) I was in and out in under ten minutes with a fixed and inflated tire. Ill definitely be going back here for all of my bike needs!

I appreciate the honesty here. I took my bikes to 2 other shops today and they wanted to hold them for 2+ weeks and then charge me $100+ for each bike for a full tune. These guys here looked at them and made a couple minor adjustments and sent me home with my bikes ready to go in less than 10 minutes.

This was a great experience, and considering the current health crisis, it felt safe and clean inside with only a couple of people allowed in at one time. Zach and Joe helped my two boys and I find bikes that will last a very long time and get my kids excited to get out of the house and get some much needed exercise. You can tell both Zach and Joe are passionate and knowledgeable about what they do but not snotty and condescending to the casual rider like myself. I would recommend this awesome local shop to anyone!

I came in due to me purchasing a bike online at amazon and seen this shop had a good rating on google. I was greeted immediately by an associate who was rather informative and nice. He seemed quite knowledgeable and advised me at the end of the visit that a tune up would improve the bike and the way it rides. I agreed due to him showing me why the tune up would be necessary and we talked next steps (which was to make an appointment due to them being busy). This part of the experience was great and honestly the only reason I would consider returning to this store. The OTHER part of this experience was the owner (which I did not know was him prior to me asking) asked me where I purchased my bike. I am new to the biking world and do not claim to know anything. I jokingly say “our good friend amazon”. He then proceeds to tell me that I should support local businesses and he uses this business to feed his children. Keep in mind, I had every intention of spending money in here, since I wanted to make sure it was built properly and whatever service it required I would have spent the money. I then asked if he was the owner and he confirmed he was. This is incredibly inappropriate to tell me to shop small when I was unaware of the bike shop prior to purchasing my bike and again, I came in with every intention to spend money. Ultimately, I will return to the shop for my tune up due to the convenience of the location to my home, but that will be the last time due to the unnecessary comment(s) from the owner. I will have my bike serviced elsewhere after this where I will not be criticized about where I decided to purchase my bike. The only reason I will not give this place 1 star will be due to the service or his employee who was really great! I didn’t get his name!

I hadnt come in before so decided to check it, asked if they sold used bikes because I thought I read that and was lectured on stores licenses in a condescending manner. Maybe I dont look like I know much about bikes either since the gentleman continued to talk to me this way, even though Ive been riding for 20 years. Luckily there are plenty of other stores who want business.

I was happy to find this shop. They are a smaller shop in a little strip mall off Broadway that hides their presence quite a bit but I wouldn’t be deterred by it and would pay them a visit. Felt like great personal service from a small business here. I was due for a new bike to haul my toddler around the trail system out here but of course COVID meant very limited inventory. Velosoul still had a selection of bikes in my price range and went home with a Jamis steel frame bike that wasn’t marked up due to COVID. I saw the shop guys’ bikes were similar steel frame bikes, so I ended up just trusting this shop for recommendations and I’m glad I did, as sitting and researching everything would have meant lost time and less bikes to choose from due to the pandemic. Overall, this bike is great! I had not considered steel frame before and will hope to get many many years out of it in CO’s arid climate. Since I have a toddler limiting my time to get things done, I had them put tubeless tires on which were a new concept to me and I very much appreciate them now! Would not hesitate to recommend the shop again.

Joe was super helpful and informative! As a total bike n00b, he explained everything to me in laymans terms without a hint of condescension, advising me that the used bike Id purchased for dirt cheap actually presented several risks of injury. He took the time to make sure I understood, and didnt even try to sell me anything after. I meant to buy a helmet and felt bad later when I realized I hadnt! Anyway, will definitely be returning with my NEW bike to have Joe check it out, and will definitely buy something next time. Thanks again Velosoul!

Came here to get my wheels trued. The issue was mostly with the tire, not the rim. Long story short: they quoted me a reasonable price over the phone but then I ended up paying less when I went to pick them up. Really nice, informative, and fair group of dudes in here. I had a really good experience at this shop. I bought a bicycle here and after riding it for a few months I banged it against something causing the front shifter to be misaligned. The staff were able to fix the issue in a couple minutes and I was on my way. Id send a friend here if they were looking for a bike, parts, or service.

These guys try to take advantage of me both times I’ve gone in. Every time I go in for a simple piece or service request I’m often met with something else they recommend I fix for whatever they feel like charging. I go into a bike shop to get confidence in my bike not to become self conscious. Up here in summit bike mechanics want to help you learn about your bike, help you fix it, and not take advantage of customers who don’t know better.

I am not a big fan of online reviews but I know what good review can mean for a business these days. Well, this shop is the kind of locally owned, family business, brick and mortar storefront that we all need to get behind. Zack and his awesome family are doing a great thing at this perfect little bike shop. Well stocked, expert repair service, great location, sensible hours and good people. I went in the shop yesterday with my 15 year-old bike that hadnt been ridden in several years. I was greeted by one of the owners of the shop who didnt make me feel like an idiot for having such an old bike. I told him I wanted to ride the bike this summer and asked if he could give it a once-over.I expected to leave the bike with him for a few days. To my surprise, we talked about what it needed and what he would do to the bike then he told me to go get lunch and come back in an hour. I did and the bike was ready to go when I arrived. I rode my bike today and it rides great. Hoping to have a great summer riding!The service was GREAT and the prices were reasonable (I compared the prices with Bicycle Village in Aurora). Ill be back and cant wait for the day Im ready to by a new bike from Velosoul.

Ive been back to Velosoul every time I need something big or small for my bike. The staff is so knowledgable and friendly, its easy to get your bike serviced or to get any accessory you might need! They have the top of the line gear at competitive prices, lots of options to jazz up your ride. When I needed a bike rack, I went out and bought one on my own and it was a disaster trying to put it together. The staff at Velosoul recommended a better model, assembled it for me, and even installed it on my car! Thumbs up all around for these guys!!!!

Great experience for a first time bicycle purchase. Walked in looking for a bike and was trying one out within minutes with no hassel. Didnt feel like I was pushed in to buying something I didnt want. Kaylee (hope I am spelling that correctly) was friendly and informative. I bought a bike for the first time in a LONG time, and everyone at Velosoul was incredibly helpful. I wasnt sure what I was looking for, and they gave good insight for me to narrow it down to a couple bikes, all of which I tested before making a final decision. When the color I wanted wasnt ready for purchase, they built me a new one in the right color, and I picked it up that afternoon. They have followed up since I purchased to make sure everything is going well, and I definitely love the bike.

I purchased a bike from this shop about 2 years ago and had a great shopping experience. But what really stood out to me was what happened today, the lock I had purchased with my bike broke while locked to a post in wash park. I called the shop for any tips or tricks on unjamming it, Kaylee answered the phone and immediately offered assistance and actually biked over to help. After she and I looked at the lock for a bit, we realized the only way to free the bike was to cut the lock. After a call back to the shop, Zach was on his way with a saw and extension cord. Never in my wildest dreams did I think two employees would be so eager to help with my dilemma. Every interaction with this shop has been amazing and I would highly recommend this be your go to shop for any bike needs!

I love this place! I am a 380/390 pound guy who really wanted to buy a bike (and was having a hard time) when I found this place. When I walked in I was greeted very hospitably and quickly asked if they could accommodate my needs and they quickly told me they could. I was very excited to hear this news, they quickly showed me some bikes that I would be okay to ride and I got to ride them around for a bit and see which one was the best. The whole process took about an hour to an hour and a half but I was happy to be there being treated with such civility. They gave me helpful tips on what I need to do to keep the bike in good condition and warnings ok making sure that I lock my bike up. These guys were professional, helpful, and unjudgemental people and I would very much refer anyone whos looking to buy a bike to come here the place is amazing.

Zach and the team at Velosoul are awesome! They have always taken great care of me but went above and beyond yesterday. I was hit by a car during my ride. Thankfully I was ok but my bike got messed up. By the time I got away from the scene it was 6pm and I knew Velosoul was closed but I decided to swing by just in case. Zach had already locked up and was getting ready to head home but he unlocked the door for me, quickly checked my bike out and took it to give it a more thorough inspection today. This is why I dont go anywhere else!

I have a really old, hand-me-down Trek that is probably not worth a lot. But the guys who work here treat my wheels and me so well. Ive been coming here for only a few years and have moved out of the area, but I still make the trip back over to Pearl Street for any issues and tune-ups I need. They are always super-professional and fun. More than anything, they never talk to me like Im dumb and they always take the time to explain what theyre doing, the anticipated time frame, and how much its going to cost. I cant wait to buy my first Jamis from Velosoul...Im saving up for Spring!

This place is what a bike shop should be: unpretentious and down to earth. Chris squares away my rides with simple perfection.

Im sure most of the employees are solid, friendly people but the guy who we talked to (stocky, thin beard, about 5 10) was condescending and described my girlfriends bike as clearly a Target bike. He then proceeded to make a disingenuous comment about how used bikes are incredibly dangerous and then the specious claim that even a bike thats slightly too small for you can cause significant injury. It was a pretty obvious ploy to play the Im an expert and you should buy one of our bikes. He didnt ask any questions about our background knowledge of bikes and when we wanted a handle bar screw to replace the stripped one, he just wrenched on it and tightened the screw so it would be impossible to remove. Im sure this shop is great 90% of the time but our experience was not positive.

Mixed bag here. Either very helpful or super pretentious. Roll of the dice on whos working that day, unfortunately. Another one of THOSE types of bike shops, great?!?!

I live just down the street from another bike store, I think its overpriced and the staff isnt very knowledgeable. The only good thing they provide is free air. I wont mention their name, but it rhymes with Schmampus Cycles... Anyway, on the recommendation of my neighbor, Raf, I went to VeloSoul today. I needed a presta valve core, and although they didnt sell them, one of the techs was kind enough to give one to me! I had seen this cozy looking shop a few times before when I used to use the laundromat down the street, but I never was around during business hours. Now that I had a chance to get in there, it looks like a great neighborhood find. One of the staff was assisting a customer with her bike outside, and seemed very competent, friendly, and willing to assist. They had a nice little selection of gear, and some great looking bikes. I will definitely be back, as I feel a little guilty for not buying anything, but thanks to the staff, I was able to save my riding day, thanks!

Scammed. I foolishly let Zach know that I didnt know enough about bikes and asked for his help in identifying tune up areas on my recently purchased bike. He said my handlebars were bent and that I needed a new seat. 1) Handlebars were not bent to my eye, bust he insisted that his eye was trained unlike mine, and ascary accidents could end up happening if I didnt do it, and that if they were bent at all, they would snap off in peices while going over a crack in the road, etc. I declined. I asked for new handlebar tape and he said, even with those bent handlebars? I thought Id eventually have to retape new bars if they did snap like he said, so I said bought it. He charged me $42. -- Okay, so I get the old handlebars back when I pick up my bike. I inspected closely: they are NOT bent whatsoever.2)The tape, btw, I found was $10 cheaper at REI. Also there were replacement peices in the tape package, which when I asked for them, I got some major stuck up attitude and was hold everything was used.3) the seat, he said would cause me saddle sores because of a little tear which he insisted had poisonous mold in it which would be bad close to that part of my body. Im female. I didnt go for that, because it sounded stupid.Unfortunately, scammed out of 42, and overpriced by another 10 and lost out of my replacement tape.Hopefully I dont get a challenge back from the company on my review, like other negative reviews have received. Not good customer service at all.

Velosoul is what you are looking for in a bike shop. Everyone in this shop is there to get you what you need, they dont try to sell you things you dont need and their prices cannot be beat by any shop ive ever been to. Theyve tuned up my bike, ordered parts and trainers for me, and even helped me to plan for my next bike when the time is right. not many shops will spend time just talking about what kind of bike would be best for you when you have made it clear that you wont be buying it for another year. I was also ready to order a pair of nice aero bars for my road bike from them, but Zach convinced me that they werent worth it/not what i needed for my purposes... how many business owners have you met that turn down hundreds of dollars to prevent you from buying something you would use but dont really need?? Ive recommended Velosoul to everyone i know that needs a bike shop, and Im usually riding with them in the next few days on their new/repaired bike.Zach and everyone in this shop are doing things the right way, go check them out and youll never need to look for a lbs again! They understand that keeping customers is more important than getting the most money out of them as soon as possible... They have customers for life in me and every person ive sent to them
