The place is Clean,and the ice cream look amazing and it tastes amazing too,i don’t recommend getting a big con if you are not used to eating a lot of ice cream all at once,and it is kid friendly too,amazing music,and amazing service they are all so nice.

My son and I visited for the first time after Para sailing at the Englewood Beach. Staff was friendly, atmosphere is fun and inviting to sit down and enjoy some great ice cream. We have been back 3 times in the last week. To e to hit the gym, but its worth it!

Step inside and its like traveling back to days gone by; charming interior, delectable aromas (they just finished making waffle cones when we arrived), a menu full of delicious flavors, including vegan options (which my friend really enjoyed) and a very friendly and pleasant server. I look forward to my next visit!

Very good! Waffle cones tasted great, werent too brittle or too soft. Had the graham central ice cream, loved it! Very clean shop. Overheard they will be relocating around June to a bigger store. I guess me and the wife will have to visit real soon and ask where.

This place was awesome for 2 main reasons. Great ice cream and great customer service. They are really passionate about treating people well and met us with smiles and enthusiasm. Tucked away in a strip mall don’t overlook this place. It was our favorite place to go while staying on Manasota Key. Generous portions too!

We have solutely love this place already been here twice Ive been here for a week we plan to be back multiple times during our vacation trip here from Michigan. There is plenty of selection do homemade waffle cones are to die for there is chocolate waffle cones and vanilla waffle cones. The midnight chocolate ice cream is the flavor of January and it is fantastic..

What an awesome little ice cream shop! They have a wide variety of flavors, an abundance of sweet treat options, cotton candy, and cold brews. The owners were very friendly and down to earth people. Treats are fairly priced and they have lots of space for parking. Highly recommend if you’re in town on vacation or looking for a regular sweet spot!

Absolutely love it!! The place smells like fresh baked cookies and there are!! My kids love all the different flavors of icecream and the owners are so nice to let them try samples. There are just too many to choose from, but a must try is the gram cracker icecream and the pumpkin!!

Best dessert find of our entire trip to Englewood! We were in town for a week and went once for ice cream cones.. and a 2nd time for cheesecake. Both..awesome! If your from Michigan like we are, youll appreciate the fact that THEY HAVE ACTUAL SUPERMAN ICE CREAM! (At least they did at the time of our visit.) I believe I spoke to the owners the first night and they are very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable about the area. The 2 gals working the 2nd time were also super friendly and offered speedy service. If we are ever passing through again, this will be my pick!

We are local and are full-time resident in Englewood so we get to stop by this place at least 2-3 days a week. The couple that own it (Mike and Rebekah) are great and the service there is always friendly and you are glad that you stopped by. They have several dessert options but we really like the ice cream which is what we go for most of the time. Whenever we have company in town we make sure that their visit involves at least one trip to Made in the Shade and all of our family loves it as well.There is a large selection of ice cream and they make their own waffle cones which my wife loves. The decor is really nice with a jukebox that works and you can play anything that you want. This is a great place to go for dessert whether you are here for a week or a season.

The ice cream was good, but if you care about social distancing and masks, this is not the place for you. NOBODY was distancing or wearing masks...not even the personnel. Reaching down into the freezer to scoop ice cream and not one person wearing a mask. If we hadnt brought people with us, we would have walked out. Wont be going back!!

Since moving to this area and stumbling upon this gem, it has become our go to and weve become regulars. I cant say enough good about the owners, the service or what they create and sell.
