Best grocery store in town for bargain shoppers. This location is also a large supermarket with all the options one would expect. Quality and service is solid, but what makes this a 5-star place is the amazing marked down items. For example, a dozen donuts are regularly $1 and they taste fresh. Check out the front right sale sheft and walk around the store looking for the mark-down sticker on products. The reduced prices are give away prices and the quality of food is still high.
Berkel was my cashier and he was so friendly and helpful. I forgot my journal and he came out to personally give it back. He was just so nice and its also super clean and always good food.
Just had the worst experience at this king sooper. Travis and Burke are closing and we walk up to check out when they stand there and instead of helping out they wait till my friends are walking out to tell us they cant go to the car without Id (since we were getting alcohol) Which is 100% understandable except the attitude they had was intense. Why are you ease dropping but not helping your customers? After in putting the date of birth to check out he tell me that his machine is not reading my chip and I need to swipe it. He then looks over to my partner, as if I was not there, to ask if he is driving. He proceeded to insinuate that I was drinking. He then proceeded to man-splanes the law when I told him there was no need to do that and said, its the way your acting. I am sorry your chip reader is not working, and that smiling, and having a good time with friends means your drunk. If he thought I was drunk why did he allow us to check out? That is breaking the law. Never again will I shop here, the rudest, most disrespectful staff I have ever met.
I always enjoy shopping at King Soopers! Especially this location the workers are friendly and the store is very clean.
This location has some of the most helpful people working there. Thanks
Nice King Soopers. I especially love the Produce and Bakery departments here. It is a smaller Kings, but is well-stocked and has a good selection
Love this store except for the new employee working the deli. Shes a grouch and yells at people that shes busy. You used to be able to order deli items and they proceeded to fill your order. Now she takes your order and tells you to come back. Ive walked out of the store 2x now forgetting to go back to deli. Super frustrating customer service. Shes bringing down the store and all the efforts the good employees there make.
I was here earlier to get Starbucks around 10:30am, and there was an altercation going on between two employees. One of the names was Laurel but I didnt catch the young pink haired girls name. Laurel was yelling at this poor girl to quit her job and that no one likes her, and cursed at her in front of a couple customers and made the experience very, very uncomfortable. I believe the manager was with them and she did nothing to interveneIve been coming to this location since the opening and Ive never seen something like this happen in front of me beforeI hope to never be served by this Laurel women at this location again. I will be making a formal complaint with the company about this womens disgusting behavior. She looks too old to behaving like this
The worst kings soopers Ive ever been to. Never have anything. The GM is rude and lazy. They are Understaffed because no one wants to work for the horrible management.
This place usually has what Im looking for, and the layouts okay. I wish theyd enforce the current mask mandate a little better, its hard to feel safe with the chin-guard crowd huffing around. Its not the employees fault though, people are just arrogant and inconsiderate.
My boyfriends items were $29. He handed the man checking him out $40. 2 20s. The man did not give him change and then yelled and fought with him. The manager allowed the employee to keep the money then proceeded to threaten to call the cops on my boyfriend. So if you go here, only use self check out. Since the employees are allowed to steal money from customers.
To anyone who is reading this if your cat has ear mites and you buy a airdrop supplement at a grocery store I would highly recommend staying away from pet armor I was told by my vet tech this stuff is very dangerous and toxic to animals and has killed animals in the past from owners using this . King Soopers if you read this message you guys need to take this item off of your shelves and not sell it .
Beautiful place. We bought guava juice, sushi box, blueberry/raspberry, yogurt. All are of good quality.
Kevin at the self checkout has exceptional customer service and goes above and beyond, always helps me and makes me feel welcomed, truly a gem in that store
Good selection but customer service leaves much to be desired. Sunday @ 7:30 pm 10/11 asked for chicken to be bagged separately, cashier and bag girl took a break from talking smack on another employee to make me feel like a wilting flower for not wanting my raw chicken in the same bag as my veggies. Rude.
Small and neat compared to many other king soopers. Self checkout lanes were recently opened for when it gets heavy. They also just started carrying Organic Valley Creamer, which I told them to a few times about a year ago.Go through the checkout with an employee, give them some purpose(not that you dont have purpose now, I just think youd rather have a job than a robot)
This place looks nice but it’s small and the parking lot is small and they don’t have enough check out lines. It’s poorly designed. I rather go to a normal King Soopers.
This is a great King Soopers to go to! Everyone is very friendly and I always see the Manager walking around, inspecting things and talking to the employees. During this crazy time this is the ONLY King Soopers that I will go to. The store is very clean and when I checked out he cleaned everything up. I appreciate all the workers for doing an excellent job. Thank you for everything you’ve been doing for us!!!!!
Its a King Soopers that mostly serves college kids. So not the best place to shop but not as bad as other Kings can be around Denver.
Zero mask enforcement. Narrow and small isles make it hard to social distance making it even more important for mask enforcement. I would go to the one on Colorado if you care about health and safety
A unique, smaller King Soopers with an interesting selection and a convenient location. The prepared foods and cheese sections are excellent at this store. I also find that this location is stocked better and more consistently than many others in the area. Despite this, its often hard to find staff here and the checkout area seems understaffed.
Nice place to shop. Good selection of products. Large selection of organic food if your into that. They even have a Starbucks in the store. Some of the isles are a little narrow, and some of the customers are above returning carts to the proper place just leaving them in the middle of parking spaces or shoved halfway into the grass on the sidewalk. Still a nice clean place to shop.
I just had a wonderful experience with the floral department on Valentines Day. I have an 11 year old daughter who has been sick and wanted a ladybug planter with flowers. The manager told me she had some after driving around on a hunt for them and not able to find any. She told me she would hold them for me. She did and I want to tell you thank you... you made a sick little girl smile! This made my Valentines Day! Im so sorry that I didnt get the Floral Department managers name she was very professional and polite and very helpful.
Horrible customer service at the deli department. The woman working there told me that she hasn’t been working in 11 days and she does not care what the chicken looks like or what my meal looks like. I told her I would please like two chicken tenders and she told her coworker just give her whatever. I then insisted that it’s my food and I would please like chicken tenders. To which she replied again I don’t care
I just went through the self-check line. I watched each of the 6 kiosks turn over 2 or more times. The kiosks were NEVER CLEANED between customers. The person manning the area told me: “People are not allowing her time to clean.” However, she had no cleaning supplies visible, nor did she make any attempt to clean. Another worker I questioned explained, “We are not required to clean between customers, and we have been doing it this way for years. Hopefully, our customers are masked and wear gloves“. DO NOT SHOP here if you want to stay safe!!!!!!
My bagger Jacob was not wearing his mask correctly yesterday. And he touched ALL my groceries! It only covered his mouth - NOT his nose. Unacceptable. I wont be going back - this was the first time to KS during the pandemic. Back to Safeway - and they even have one way isles. This KS did nothing of the sort. No wonder there are KS outbreaks of COVID.
Its King Soopers trying to be Whole Foods but slightly less expensive
Do not come to this location if you care about your personal health or if you feel any empathy for King Soopers employees. There are many people here are not wearing masks in the midst of an epidemic. This store is not requiring masks to enter. Apparently this particular location is just south of the Denver border in Arapahoe county and they are following county ordinance. King Soopers Has had multiple deaths of their employees due to Covid outbreaks in the Denver area. Corporate leadership should be protecting their employees no matter the location. Denver county, Arapahoe county, Adams county, Douglas County. It doesn’t matter. Keep your employees safe.!! Be responsible corporate leaders! Get with the program.
The pharmacist, Nicole, is incredibly hateful. She is extremely rude and aggressive. I will not be using this pharmacy again. She needs to leave her attitude at home.
I love this store. Its a little further away from my house, but worth the trip! The produce section is incredible, with produce you dont normally find at an average store. But my favorite part of going to this store is the staff; from the deli all the way to checkout, everyone is super nice and friendly. I also feel that the store is generally very well stocked. I dont think Ive ever come across a shelf that was empty of something I was looking to purchase.
Waited on hold for 20 minutes to order a turkey. When I finally got through, they gave me an 800 number. Took a mental break from it and tried again the next day. When I called the 800 number, they re-routed me back to the store. The second attempt, I was told they stopped taking orders the day before.
Store is always clean, good selection of foods, the deli has unique and fresh selections. The staff is always so helpful and so nice! Specifically calling out Jeremiah who ALWAYS has a smile on his face and is super helpful and efficient. Love coming to this store every time.
They dont have half of what other King Soopers have, and what they do have is randomly placed amidst expensive organic/natural alternatives. The workers seem very unhappy. Some examples of what they dont have:Ant traps, sunscreen, aloe vera, the white whole blends conditioner, ozium, certain Venus razor refills that others always have, green beens that arent rotten
This store is amazing. Im in a wheelchair. The motorized chair was fully charged and ran smoothly. The produce is amazing. Signs are placed everywhere! I loved this store and will be back there from now on!!!
Moral at this store is at rock bottom. Associates are rude not only to customers but also to each other. I asked an employee a question twice, he didnt respond, so I nicely said excuse me figuring he didnt hear me and he replied What?! rudely. I asked if their store carried one of the Simple Truth items I was looking for and he said I dont know... and continued opening boxes to stock shelves. The cashier didnt finish checking the man before me and added my groceries to his bill and somehow ran the transaction. So the man before me paid an additional $55 on his bill. When the cashier called the manager for help she came over with a huge attitude at him, rolling her eyes and couldnt have been more put out. When he asked if she wanted a copy of my receipt (assuming she would want to remove my items) the manager (Tia I believe) she said no! I hope the gentleman in front of me gets a full refund but I doubt it with the service at this store. Ill be calling corporate as this was ridiculous. This store is also very limited on organic produce as well. Im glad this isnt my neighborhood King Soopers as I would drive to another location to shop.
I was just at the deli around 7:30 pm. The case lights were on. I waited for a minute, the deli employees saw me and did nothing. I asked, are you still open? They reply: sorry, were closed.I come back later and they are serving who I assume were their friends. After another customer points out my presence, they ask to serve me. Caught in their lie, they give me more than the pound I asked for, stating the extra bit is on the house.I like this location as it is close and convenient. I also understand working at a deli is stressful as Ive had that job myself; but I would never had tried to pull closing early and snubbing customers. Nor would I just stay open for my friends. The small gesture of a bit of extra food really didnt change how badly I felt about the whole encounter.
Great grocery store! Its not the closest King Soopers to my house, and absolutely not the closest grocery store to my house, but when Im not sure what I need I always come here because I will find what it was I was looking for :-) The people in the specialty cheese area are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The vegetable and produce area is truly well maintained and stocked, and they also are very helpful :-)If youre anywhere in the area, and even if you are not a fan of Kroger / King Soopers, you will find what you need here :-)
Met a friend in the Starbucks area. On my way out, I could really smell the roses! (It is the day before Valentines Day.) The thing is, grocery store roses dont have much smell anymore. It was so surprising and wonderful ♡♡◇
I enjoy the smaller size of this KS Fresh Fare store--- much less walking. The inventory includes my go-to items, along with some items my regular big-footprint KS doesnt stock. Its a pleasant contrast. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Edit 10/17/2018: Since my review of 4 years ago, this store has made many improvements. They now are able to fine-tune what they keep in stock despite the small size of the store. We still need to shop at larger King Soopers for a few items. Old Review: 06/2014: Definitely room for improvement. I stopped in this morning and of 6 items I have purchased here before only 2 were available. It was generally an ok visit with shopping baskets available in a stack beside the side door in Produce that I entered and a nice greeting from an employee. I got the two available items on my list and a couple more and headed home, a very close 1 1/2 blocks away. Since the next nearest stores are both a mile or so away so I decided to wait until later to get the rest. After dinner with my wife we stopped in again for the remaining items. Using the same side entrance in the produce department, the wire holder for hand baskets was now empty and when I asked a staff member for more he told me they were available at the front doors inside the airlock as he quickly turned his back to me, walked away and disappeared. They still did not have any of the items that were out of stock from earlier, but we also had additional items that we purchased so the missing items can wait. The employee that helped us in the bakery area asked if everything we came in for were available and she wrote down the items that were out of stock to check on them. Maybe next time they will be available, maybe next time a different store first.
I thought this store might cater to the neighborhood. Upscale, fresh veggies, ect. Its really small. So no dice. My favorite King Soopers is still the one in Glendale.
Wow! Every single employee I came across was helpful and friendly. I dont usually go to the grocery store for the atmosphere, but this one convinced me to come back even if just for the environment. Well lit, smells amazing and everything appeared fresh. Im impressed.
It the easiest grocery store to get to in my hood. Its still King Soopers disguised with a Whole Foods-ish entrance, tall shelves and narrow aisles. It is meant to have an urban appeal for an up market clientele. Prices are not as high as some. Its clean. The staff is competent and friendly. The store at Kent Place is one of the stores that I shop at regularly, due to its proximity I use it more often than the other two.
Pharmacy is horribly slow. Have been waiting for prescription for 45 minutes past the expected hour wait time. Workers have offered no communication for the hold up. And Im still waiting! Would give 0 stars for professionalism and competency.Update: It was ready the whole time and there was no apology for the mistake. Idiots.
Very, very clean. Decent selection of items you would need. I only wish that it was bigger!! :)
I went around 8pm on a Sunday. Pros were the store was quiet and not packed as expected. Lots of things were out of stock. The aisles are narrow, making it hard to pass people with a cart. Some of the produce was questionable. Almost all of the small watermelons were rotted. I tried to pick one up and it nearly fell in half. The other watermelons were sitting in rotted watermelon juice. Disgusting. There was one register open and no self-checkout available. The two ladies working that register didnt even acknowledge me or respond when I greeted them or asked a question. I dont expect a lot but I also dont expect to feel invisible. I screwed up bagging sunflower seeds so they were hard to ring up. The cashier sighed or something and chucked the seeds down the conveyor belt. Ive never felt so unwelcome in a King Soopers. The bagger loaded nearly everything into one canvas bag I brought (I had 3 bags). The cans nearly broke the bag.
Hello,This morning my Mother called this King Soopers before she arrived to make sure that it was okay to exchange an item. The lady/woman/girl/person, whomever answered the phone, said that it was alright so she proceeded to drive to this location only to be, rudely greeted and treated poorly by front end manager, Tia.This is very upsetting news, when we are patrons of this store consistently. No matter how bad your day is going, youre at your place of work, be professional, and then speak about it once you are home. You work anywhere, the customer is ALWAYS right, no matter what. I have to deal with it, others have to deal it, please just smile and do your job, everyone has to do it. Thank you for your time!
I like the variety of options available, but would appreciate more organic produce.
Fabulous. Helpful in deli section and Carol helped me find things as I am new to area, living at Kent Place. Also gentleman who checked me out also very pleasant. And you carry 2 items in particular that I love.
Great store format all the food I love concentrated and one nice space. Staff helpful and pleasant. Produce located in front of store makes you excited to cook something. Found lots of great deals and was an affordable trip.
Very welcoming environment. Staff is just so helpful and friendly. I love coming here!Thank you guys!
This was originally their Fresh Fare experiment to compete with Whole Foods. It has a lot of organic foods and has a pretty decent staff. One of the best King Soopers.
Constantly understaffed, have missed putting items in my bag I paid for more than once. Tired of having to go back, could be a nice little store. bummer
Its a smaller store with wonderful produce, lots of fancy items great cheese counter. Since it is small sometimes they dont have certain things I want. Doesnt keep me from shopping there, however.
Im in a lot of King Soopers all across the metro area (I work in the stores as a 3rd party vendor) and this particular one is very nice. Its clean, its pretty, and very well stocked.
I have shopped here since it opened- I am DONE. I live very close so I always go here first. But I am SICK AND TIRED of the store CONSTANTLY out of something EVERYTIME I go- and I go once a day, and I am NOT looking for obscure items! Get your act together...I can not deal with the daily frustration, so I will be driving to Sprouts instead. So sad, cause your staff are very nice- but your inventory control is deplorable.
My brain 🔋 low ... First visit to this k.s. location and to my surprise the bakery and deli and proteinmilk was right front n center. King of kings lord of lords glory to God for such a beautiful store.
The deli is terrible. I ordered food and was told it would be ready in 10 minutes by the lady with short grey hair, I wasnt served at all in over 20 minutes and wasted my lunch break.
I used to live close to here and moved away. I still drive here because it has the best vegetables and the meats are excellent. Some good looking people like to shop here as well
I went back in to the store because I had a bag of red onions that was pretty poor looking when I took it home. It was my fault for not inspecting it as well as I should have. Turns out all the other red onion bags were not looking so hot either. The customer service I received was top notch. I recently moved over to this area and couldnt be happier to live near such a great King Soopers! Dont know if Ill be buying my red onions here in the future, but Ill definitely be back for other items!!
Its a great market with a lot of different items than your other bulk stores and you dont need a membership
Much smaller than King Soopers by my house. This location (S. University at Hampden) doesnt stock as many items/brand options as their other stores. Still nice store, excellent seasonal plants.
Love this place!! They have a big selection of affordable organic and local produce. They have a good cheese and meat selection. Friendly staff too.
This King Soopers is AMAZING! the lines always more very fast and is generally very well stocked. The employees are very friendly too!Check out the clearance flowers, they are usually in top shape.
I love this King Soopers! Its clean and the staff are always friendly and helpful! The Starbucks inside the store is also awesome..always super fast!
This is a clean and beautiful grocery store. Prices are fair, and the selection is vast. There is plenty of organic produce, and lots of grab and go options. The staff is incredibly friendly! :-)
My three stars go out to the employees, i only have had great experiences with these strangers. Especially at the cheese department where they are extremely helpful, kind, and take the time to go through it without feeling forced. Also cheese selection is the best i have tasted. I spend some time at this store comparing items and prices for the best buys. The produce and products are a downer, i find better organics at thr kings on colorado blvd, and the prices are a tad to high even for cherry creek.
Modern style grocery store. Mainly food items. This King Soopers is smaller than a standard one. Beautiful inside with high ceilings.
On the smaller side, but a nice and clean location. Had no trouble finding what I was looking for.
Nice layout and attractive design. Plenty of local and fresh options. The fresh made sushi, olive bar, and cheese bar really put this place above the rest.
Bad rotten smell through store like sour milk, very Rude customer service, would not return our items that were bought yesterday even with receipt, watched bakery change dates on items instead of throwing them out, womans bathroom had employee washing out her spaghetti lunch container in the sink because they didnt have hot water in the break room she said, dirty changing table, mens room disgusting dont want to list why so I dont gross you out, bought a doughnut that was dry and had to be at least a day old, had to sit and wait for a tow truck and they never cleaned the tables by the bakery, very dirty, if you have time to drive somewhere else I would, I love king soopers but not this one!! First time here will never be back!!
This place is so damn hipster, its insane. I feel like yoga pants are a requirement. Still, if every King Soopers looked like this, theyd have customers for life. Its immaculate inside. Just remember to make eye contact. (I had to go back and read edit this, drop it from 5 stars BECAUSE when I last visited, I took my toddler daughter to the restroom and had to listen to a doctor in the phone while he was defacating. So disgusting. Maybe Im a small town, old school, and I know its not King Soopers fault, but yuck.)
A surprisingly good place to have lunch, real quick.
Meh. Ive seen better, but it was pretty cute and a nice area.
Aaah I always enjoy this kings everyone is so polite and kind, oh and clean Haha
This is the worst grocery store of all time. The employees are fake and seem to hate their jobs. The store managers are reluctant to help and are total corporate sellouts. When you do see a manager, all they do is walk around the store with a big dumb grin on their face asking if they can help you find anything. Which they fail to do. I would never recommend shopping here. The layout of the store is stupid and makes no sense, especially regarding the fact that the pharmacy is in a different building. The deli is ALWAYS understaffed. Which makes sense because it looks like an awful job. Shop at Whole Foods instead if you need to buy organic food.
Fancy pants Super Kings made just for the elite Cherry Hills crowd. The layout is very strange and its deceptively small. They do have an amazing prepared food section though. Parking is crazy.
This is the best king Soopers location we have been to. Excellent customer service from when we enter the door till when we exit.
Clean, well lit, and with good selections and deals. We also appreciate that theres a liquor store, Mod Market, and pet food store next door.
They have a large deli. Also a very nice sized cheese deli and organic section. A Nicely planned out store.
Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was really disappointed. I went here instead of Whole Foods (this was open earlier) looking for a good salad for lunch. They had the exact same selection that normal King Soopers has which is pre-packaged and not really fresh. And every one of the salads I picked up was on its last expiration day - really not fresh! I would rather pay more and go out of my way for higher quality at Whole Foods.
Only 2 cashiers and a line around the corner. Limited meat selection. A 10 minute trip is taking me a half hr.
The staff are very nice in my experience, and the place is usually very clean
When you are inside this store you almost feel like you are in a Whole Foods. It is one of the nicest King Soopers around.
Love the free samples. This store has large quantities so I can stock up and not go shopping as often.
Michael in the Bakery was a life saver! We had a little mishap with a celebratory cake an hour before the event was set to begin and cake was to be out. Ran it over to him, he worked his magic, and in 15 minutes the cake was like new. Thank you Michael!
Never has anything in stock. Manager is an idiot, Ive seen him on the floor several times. He has no idea how to run a store.
Great for quick shopping but the place is a black hole for cell phones dont call someone there and ask them if you can pick them up something
This is the fresh fare concept. I like the natural light and the bins of grains and nuts. It feels more like a natural grocers than a normal king Soopers.
This store is clean, the food is fresh, deals are FANTASTIC, and I just had fantastic conversations with 4 separate employees in my visit. Ill never shop at Walmart again as long as theres a King Soopers around!
This King Soopers is the worst King Soopers I have ever been too. They dont carry half the things a store should, their deli runs out of things on a regular basis, the check out is slow and doesnt have a self-check out. They also close really early. It is so frustrating to have to drive to different King Soopers regularly to get basic things. Great job on the infrastructure and windows, but perhaps more focus on your customers would be in order.
I called the pharmacy and one of the ladies had really rude attitude.
Everything needed for your home, plus a few more patio and barbecue needs
We came to CO yesterday. Yesterday we were looking for some food market and didnt find anything around. Without car it looked very pitty. But today we found this- King Soopers. It is simply amazing!!! Just wonderful choise, so many different products! Absolutely stuning!!! And so tasty take away food. Prices- up to very expensive but we found a lot of affordable things. I love this!!! Wish to have something like Whole foods market in my country!
Great store. One of the best in the chain.
Jon at the meat counter is great - he is always helpful and very friendly. They have a neat counter that is stocked really well, good quality.
This is our go-to grocery store. It is always clean, has solid produce and other selections, and very well staffed.
The lady at the customer desk was rude! One star rating!
