I went to Riverside Chevy a couple days ago to shop Silverados, and I was very dissappointed by my experience. I came prepared with a build specification from Chevys website to give the salesperson an idea of what I was looking for. The salesperson I spoke with was pushy, rude, and manipulative. I explained that I would be buying a truck soon, but was still in the initial shopping/research phase. Throughout our discussion, the salesperson constantly pushed me to order the exact vehicle I had in the Chevy specification brand new from GM. I wanted to discuss used and other new options, but he made no effort to understand what I was looking for, and he scoffed at any suggestions I made outside of placing an order for the brand new truck. He did not even offer for me to take a test drive in something similar, but yet expected me to order the truck right then and there. The worst is that he explicitely stated that for me to be shopping instead of ordering the truck on the specification was a waste of his time! I will not buy a vehicle from this dealer, and recommend that nobody else does either. I am talking with Broadway Automotive in Green Bay right now, and they seem very helpful and accomodating. Moreover, the price estimates Broadway gave me were much lower than Riverside.

I just want to thank Nick Erickson for helping me out. I was using a loaner vehicle from another riverside dealer and happened to be in Escanaba when the low tire pressure indicator came on, I pulled into your Dealer in Escanaba and Nick checked all four tires and added air to the ones needing it, Afterward Nick gave me his card and told me to call if the light came on again while I was in town. Thank you for such wonderful service,

If youre looking for an excellent dealership with exceptional service, my advice to you is that you should continue looking. I would rate this dealership with 0 stars if that was possible. Not only did they sell me a 2010 Impala that had its original engine fail with less than 57k miles on it, they also sold me warranty coverage from First Extended warranty, and they did not honor the terms of their coverage and replace the failed engine. It has been almost 3 years since I had to pay for the new engine myself. I have spoken with the service department, and several of the sales managers with absolutely no resolution. I sent all of the relevant information to the dealership via email at their request, and they have never even bothered to respond. I spoke with their service department before the engine was replaced at a different dealership and was told that as long as the repair was completed at a certified dealership, the engine replacement would be covered by the warranty. I will never by a Chevrolet when Im looking for a new vehicle, and would certainly never buy a vehicle from Riverside Cheverolet in Escanaba Michigan!

Salesman treat you like you cant afford anything on the lot and without asking a budget they say we have a budget lot over on so and so. Then walk away and no one helps you. Riverside Ford has much better staff and selection. Guess you either need a suit and a Ferrari to get respect there or be friends with the salesman to have coffee and a conversation about a vehicle. My business will be else where. I have bought a car from them years ago but will never again.

We thought nieces Aveo might need new all-season tires as she moved here from southern WI. Greg in service called my mother-in-law, Jeannine Frankenberg, to tell her the tires on the car were still in good condition and there was no need to replace. They could easily have just replaced the tires and made the sale and then sold the tires they took off. REALLY APPRECIATE HIS HONESTY AND INTEGRITY. That is why my mother-in-law will continue to do business with Riverside.

The cars are great, the sales team is great, but every other customer service is atrocious. Ive called both business managers twice (4 calls total). When my vehicle went in for diagnosis my husband had to call to see why it hadnt been returned so I could lock my place of business and be on my way - a part needed to be ordered. Today it was to be repaired. At closing time I happen to notice my car had been returned, parked in front of a neighboring business, left unlocked with the keys in it???!!!WHAT kind of Customer Service is this???!!!

If you would like to buy a vehicle including preowned and want a dealer to stand behind the product they sell then get one here! Thank you Greg and Donnie!

Prior to moving to Minnesota, my wife and I purchased a used car from Riverside. The claims made included one owner, local trade, and that the owner was a reputable member of the community that worked for the Secretary of State. Aside from a Clean history, it was clearly indicated on the RD-108 Application for Michigan Title and Registration form that there was no damage or prior salvage. The car was priced appropriately, and the salesman even cut $500 dollars off the asking price right away. He claimed they didnt know much about the car, but I think he was lying. I took his word for it, and brought the car home. My mistake.Read my YELP! Review for a list a mechanical problems this car had.Upon arrival in Minnesota, I applied for a MN Title. I received one in 5 weeks that had a big red stamp on it. Prior Salvage. I called Riverside and asked them what there history report said about the vehicle. The woman on the phone found the record and said there was nothing on the history. I paid for a separate vehicle history and found that before arriving at Riverside, the car was checked into Coreys Auto Salvage in Ingalls, MI. Damage type was listed as Junk And Salvage. Deposition said Sold. However, this report did not say when and where the car was damaged. I called Riverside again. I explained to the woman on the phone that my report said Coreys Auto Salvage on it. There was silence before she replied that the report they have listed a Minor accident in Florida. I asked for their report and she obliged. Upon reviewing their report, the accident was not minor. It is described as a front end impact that resulted in deployed airbags and the vehicle being towed from the scene. The next item on the report is that the car is being registered in Michigan. The date correlates with its arrival at Coreys.I called Coreys. They could not legally provide too much information, but told me exactly what I needed to hear. They only buy TOTALED vehicles from insurance. With this new information I called Riverside again. Coincidentally, the salesman who sold us the vehicle had called a couple weeks prior to check on how the car was treating us. I thought it was only appropriate that I talked to him. His demeanor quickly changed when I explained what was going on. To put it simply, I told him that I didnt want this to get stupid. They obviously sold me damaged goods. The Bill of Sale and RD-108 should be null and void. Give me my money back. You can have the car back to auction off or whatever you so choose. Needless to say. Riverside decided to act stupid. They claimed that they had no way of knowing and that the sale, although unfortunate, is final. We decided to pursue legal action. I contacted the best lemon law Lawyer in Michigan. She obtained a certified title history (This is a government document that goes into much greater detail about a vehicle history than any online history report). She had some bad news for us. The car had been totaled and was obviously the victim of a title washing scheme. Michigan is apparently too lenient with titling laws, hence you can total a vehicle out of state, and sell it to a Michigan salvage yard. They fix it, and alakazam you have a clean title. Her honest recommendation was to drop the case. The reasons being 1.) that the court costs would be very high. For example our next move would be obtaining a court approved appraisal of the vehicle which could cost $1500+. 2.) Riverside would likely exhaust us financially in court, knowing that they have the upper hand in a state that does little to enforce titling laws. 3.) Legal action would be very time consuming and we could not afford that as professionals working two states away.Lessons learned: Obtain 2-3 vehicle history reports to get a more complete historyDont purchase a vehicle from Riverside
