This is my regular store to shop at! I like the store because the staff is friendly and I always get good deals on good quality food here! Ive been shopping at the store for 5+ years now. Tonight at 8:45 was the 1st time Ive ever been truly disappointed in the store. There are 2 express lanes open and only one regular service lane. There are other employees who are working but walking around supposedly on break from what the head checker told me. The lines are extremely backed up and the answer that I got from the head checker (African American lady with white glasses) where the other cashiers were, she stated that they were on break and going to be back from break in 5 more minutes. It is now 30+ minutes later and theyre not here! Im truly disappointed in whoever is running Food-4-Less on Broadway in Escondido in the evening of August 07, 2020. The manager should be ashamed of themselves for treating the customers like this!

I like going here. Good pricing and good selection. The only thing is there is never enough cashiers working.

Very disappointed I ordered an aerial cake and the colors were just off nothing to do with aerials colors neon pink on the cake very disappointed I usually order my cakes for from the Food 4 Less in vista never had an issue but unfortunately they didn’t have the aerial toy that goes on top I had to order in Escondido. And this is what I got

I LITERALLY hate it here! The worst grocery store you can go to! I don’t care if the prices are cheap it in the MOST inconvenient convenience store ever! The lines are always long and no it doesn’t go by fast. Good luck trying to find help! Workers are no where to be found. If you’re looking for a one stop shop look elsewhere. Pet supplies? No. Luckily petco is right next door. Alcohol is locked up which is no big deal if when you are looking for help there’s someone to help! I waited 15 mins before deciding to ditch my full cart and go somewhere else! I’m so angry I took the time to write this review. I never had such a horrible experience. Truly

Groceries are so affordable here, of youre willing to deal with minor bruises on fruit. Make sure youre comfortable bagging your own groceries because checkers do not do it for you.

A typical experience for me every time I go;2 lanes open. 6 or 7 people in front of me with baskets with at least 100 plus items .

Great selection at pretty fair prices. Plenty of room in the aisles. Meat counter is very popular. Checkout is smooth with two groceries bagging areas so you can move quickly. Use the app...lots of discounts available.

From the line staff on up to management, the staff maintains a professional yet family friendly relationship with their customers. Every interaction is not a problem, they will stop what they ate doing to my your shopping experience a pleasant one. There are a few other alternatives in the community, but I prefer to spend my hard earned dollars in my favorite Shopping Center, Food 4 Less. Well, i went in just to get milk and i started talking to Jacob in the meat department about all the great deals on meat and Cameron one of the managers (he was by the Grape jam and my favorite peanut butter on sale) next thing i know Im happily walking out with $55.00 bucks of awesome deals. There was also Josh sweeping his heart out. I saw a lotta teamwork even though i heard it was inventory night ! Teams will sometimes remind each other so i heard management and crew well wishing. This place runs like a swiss clock !

Ive shopped Food 4 Less since 2009.The prices are fair to good on savings.The store itself could be a bit brighter inside, but cashiers are friendly and fast to check you out.Ill continue to shop here and never, ever go to rip off Vons.

I really enjoy shopping here. The isles are wide enough to not feel your going to crash into someone else. The meat department has a lot more to choose from then some of the other stores. Great bargins are found on every isle.

Since food prices and everyday household products are on the rise, Food 4 Less gives you more goods for your hard earned dollars. They have a fairly good selection. The place can get very busy at times, but they generally have enough cashiers to accommodate whenever they are busy.

Great place, however when I entered I expected there to be a small amount of products, instead there were many products. I ended up buying all the mentos they had. Never got food poisoning from here.

Food 4 Less is a good choice for my family because of their prices. I like to buy water, soda, bread, and the produce that they have on special. Its not the prettiest store, but it serves as a need for families and anyone else who likes to save money.

My favorite grocery market with the best prices. The manager (I believe) with mid length hair is very cute 😉

There a food surplus type store with discounted prices. Just check your items like you would anywhere else and you must bag all your own stuff its required. No ones in a hurry here though

Surprise they reshuffle everything and now they dont have Goya products as they used too, we might have to look for another supermarket that will have our beloved Goya products

The restrooms are always lock, it is very inconvenient. Anyone needing to use it must get the attention of the cashier who is very busy with the customers. Diabetic shoppers good luck as it will take a little longer for a busy cashier to unlock the the restrooms.

On June 2, 2013 at approximately 1:50pm I purcahsed several items from the Food 4 Less located at 644 N Broadway, Escondido, Ca. When I got to my car to load the packages in my car I noticed a strong smell. As I examine each piece of good I found it to be the strip steak I had purchased.I returned the meat to the store and spoke with the Meat and Store Managers.I explained the situation to both and asked that they be aware what is being delivered to their store and to inspect what is being placed in the bins for people to purchase. There was also another package of meat with the same smell. I wonder if they will wait until someone gets seriously sick and have to sue before they take action.Who is the owner of Food 4 Less?

New to the area and had to make a food run for an office get together Ive shopped food for less before so I located the one in this area. I was extremely disappointed to see how dirty and disorganized it was! It was not too busy and I did see several workers and managers on the floor but they just seemed to be walking around as though there was nothing wrong with the look and even the smell of the store. I will definitely not be returning to this store!

Cashiers are great people and excellent customer service no matter what day or time it is thank you food 4 less!!

Usually, very helpful,but am experiencing a problem having them order Pepsi Caffine Free 12 pack (gold packaging) They carry other Pepsi products, but cannot order this product. They say it has to come through the back door WHY????????

Had a terrible experience in this store, one of the cashier was so rude and careless just dumped all the canned goods carelessly in the cart that some of them got dented when she had to redo punching in the items due to some problems in her bar code reader of payment card.
