This place is great! I get my oil changes and tire rotations done. They always remind me when it’s getting close to get them done. They look over everything and always take time to explain things. C and L have been servicing my 2017 Honda Ridgeline and 2015 Subaru Outback 6 cyl for about 18 months now. Their facility is clean and the staff is friendly. I have had several oil changes and tire rotations and brake jobs performed by them. The most important thing about this shop is THEY LISTEN to the customer. I’m one of these finicky people who wants specific parts put on and specific things done and they do only what I ask and are reasonable about their cost.I have dealt with A LOT of shops and mechanics over the years (formerly I was a vendor to lots of them) and I have a general distrust for them. But I trust C and L. They went so far as to research a TSB for a mysterious emissions code and tell me how to get the dealer to fix it. These folks are good.

I would recommend C & L Automotive as they were very thorough in fixing my cars issue. They offer shuttle service if needed. The employees are respectful and kind to their customers. They were readily available for any questions I had.

Ryan did a great job with a really tricky repair on my car, and even gave me a loaner when the parts he needed were backordered. My only complaint would be communication was a little spotty, but he always took the time to talk to me when I called to check the status of the repair. I will definitely be returning the next time my car needs some work.

Each time I’ve taken my car in they’ve been friendly and professional, upfront about what needs to be done and the cost, and prompt about getting it done. The shuttle service is a plus! I’ve also discovered that several friends are happy customers as well, which is a further positive endorsement.

Took my 2013 Chevy Cruze 1.4L in for a coolant leak and other repairs. The staff there is excellent. Just normal people like you and me, except they understand the ins and outs of cars. You want your mechanic to be like a good doctor, and these guys are doing their best. Happy to recommend them anytime

I was having an issue where my car would thunk every time I started it. One of their guys came out and diagnosed the issue and then they quoted me a price and I got it done later that week. Before them, no one had any clue what was going on. Besides that, they charged me less than the price I was quoted (discount) and gave me a ride to and from the shop. And finally, when i got back into my car the issue was gone. Great guys, I would recommend!

I have had my car serviced by C and L Auto several times since 2017. Each and every time I have received excellent customer service including a prompt and comfortable shuttle service. On many occasions I received service that went far beyond excellent. Ryan went above and beyond to explain all the different options available to me as far as a what I needed to fix the problems with the transmission in my Scion. Unfortunately, even though the quotes were more than fair, each one of the options were far outside my budget. Ryan made special efforts to see what he could do to help. He reached out to his personal professional contacts in order to find someone who could possibly help. And he did it! And saved me over $1000 even though it meant someone else would be getting paid to do the repair.He didnt get paid to help me. There was nothing in it for him other than to offer kindness to a client. There were times that C and L could have taken advantage of me and my wallet. Instead, Ryan went out of his way to find the best possible option for me and to help soothe my worries. He spent his personal time trying to help me for no other reason than to simply help. Was going to change the ERG myself after quoted $485 at my usual shop (W.G). Bought the part for $55 but then decided I might be better to have it done at a shop. Drove around a bit and pulled into C&L who scheduled me the next day. They were able to use the part I had and the total was only $143. With a great job that fixed my problem, professional and friendly atmosphere, I have found a new garage. They also have courtesy ride if needed.

Barely competent!Took my rough idle car in for a diagnosis. After $104 they told me the cylinder head needed to be sent out and resurfaced. carbon build up on the exhaust valve on cylinder 3 was supposedly causing a miss-fire. They gave me two options, rebuild engine or swap out for a new motor all together. At minimum it would have cost me at least $1500. I took it to the guy I bought it from. He pushed down on the ignition coil in cylinder 3 and it snapped it all the way. Check engine light went off, car runs great now. They didnt even check basic wire connections. I have an Astro van they couldnt fix either. It had a miss fire on a cylinder. They did multiple rounds of work and didnt fix it. Now it stalls on the freeway. Like I said, barely competent.

I have had excellent service for over 15 years at C&L. Recently, I had a couple car related questions that came up that Ryan & Steve at C&L were able to help me with. The first was help with a maintenance question for my daughter who moved to Los Angeles. She wanted confirmation when and if she needed to have the serpentine belt replaced. The manual just said to inspect but we know those belts dont last forever. I called C&L and they were able look it up in their system and recommend every 100k or before that, if it shows cracking. The second was in regards to a car my youngest daughter is interested in buying. I wanted to see if that year, make and model had any know issues that we needed to be aware of and Ryan was able to confirm that from his experience it seemed to be a good vehicle. Thanks, C&L

I recently got a new car a Chevy HHR and it had some brake issues. I took it to them and they worked with the dealership where I got the car and for a 400$ fix job they got it down to where I only have to 175$ which is amazing. I’m so grateful for they and how they treat me. I’m so blessed. Highly recommend this place they will work with you and everyone is so kind!

Super happy to find a mechanic I can depend on. I started using C and L last year when I had some maintenance needed on a car I was planning to sell and was very happy with that service. When I had some recent problems with a used car I purchased at a local dealer, they prioritized what was important and got it done in good time. (In hind sight, I should have had C and L look at it before I bought it.) I have to say that with each of my visits, I was pleasantly surprised with the total bill. They were very reasonable and explained the issues with the vehicles and how to resolve them in a way that was very clear. I highly recommend this business!

Took my Mazda in for repairs, they were fair on the price and when I had an issue after the repair, they realized what had happened during the initial repair and fixed it at no charge. They could have told me that something else was wrong and charged me (which many other local mechanics would do) but they didnt and made things right. These folk are the exception. Ive frequently had a bad time with automotive repair people; Im incredibly skeptical and hesitant with anybody working on my car. Such a different experience at C + L than what Ive had other places.Every time Ive worked with them theyve been honest and accommodating. Ive had them explain, in simple terms, whats going on. Ive had them convince me that certain work did not need to be done just yet, but to keep an eye on it. Phenomenal service every time Ive been there.The prices are about what youd expect from car repair, but the work you get for that price always seems to last longer than when I get work done other places. Excellent bang for your buck. I know that what theyre charging is a reasonable price for the work being done.The crew at C + L feel like the neighborhood mechanics I had working on my car back in Montana. Honest about what needs to get done, charging a fair price for the parts and labor while keeping in mind what I can afford.Recommend them to anyone nervous about their mechanics.

Great Service, quick and friendly. I just got my brake pads and rotors replaced on the front end of my Dodge Ram. Truck is braking great and no more annoying squeak. While I was in for my brakes, they gave my truck a free inspection, noted the condition, wasnt pushy about selling anything. I really appreciate their service.

Recently brought my truck in to get new brake pads and rotors. During the appointment they did a thorough inspection of the vehicle, and found a leak in my front differential. I was able to take the vehicle back to the dealership and get this repaired under warranty, saving thousands. I really appreciate their honesty and thoroughness, I will definitely be using them in the future.

The people are friendly. They seem to be honest folks and they repaired my van nicely and even offered a loaner car. They even followed up on the work by texting me to see how my van was running.

Went here 10 years ago, seemed like a trust worthy shop. Brought a vehicle to them in January. Something seemed different. The owner told us the van was good to go with some new tires for a 3000+ mile road trip this summer, it wasnt! After hearing a loud thunk from under the vehicle I brought it back. Ryans quote was around $700 for some steering work. In the end it wasnt the steering, it was u-joints, and the steering work Ryan quoted me was only part of what really needed to be done with the steering. The report I was handed after I paid for the inspection detailed all the parts that needed to be replaced but his quote over the phone only included a couple of them. Had C & L done that work it was only a matter of time before the other parts broke and my van would have been right back in their shop. He can say they cant predict when parts break on vehicles with such high miles but if you looked at the steering components it was very evident and the report I was handed detailed almost all of them. As well as after paying him $700 the issue I originally had would not have been fixed!! I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK AND I WOULD STEER ANYBODY WHO i KNOW AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!

I am beyond grateful for this place! Was driving home from the coast and new to the Eugene area. My front right tire started acting weird and was extremely loud— just weird! Stopped at a Les Schwab in McMinnville, toldMe there was nothing wrong and sent me on my way... Just didn’t feel right. Drove another 90+ miles and it got louder and more pronounced. Gut feeling, just knew something was up. Came in the next morning to C&L for a second opinion, they diagnosed the problem immediately and had it fixed by early the next morning. Friendly and very knowledgeable service. Explained problem in a way I could understand and gave me all sorts of payment options as well. Even took a test drive with me to insure it was working properly and followed up a week later to make sure things are okay. Beyond grateful for the place and knowledge they have. I don’t even know what I would have happened to me if I believed Les Schwab! Highly recommend! I’m not going to go anywhere else!

I have been taking my business and personal vehicles there for years. Great service, complimentary drop off and pick ups. Very knowledgeable. The only shop i have been to that admits if they are stumped and will say this might or might not work. Steve, and his mechanics are top notch and always seem to find a way to keep my rigs running top notch. DONT GO TO C&L AUTO!!! These guys are a rip-off. I googled, best automotive repair in Eugene and it sent me straight to C&L Auto. I should take Google to court for the $1,250 I threw away at C&L Auto. They burned me good. Even let me drive away with tires half flat I had to fill them with air after Id left and they were at 20lbs psi!! These guys are scam artists.

I dont recommend taking your vehicle here. They put the wrong oil in my truck as well as the wrong coolant, mixing the regular green with G05. The oil wasnt all that big a deal but now Im having serious issues because of the mixed coolant. I didnt expect a mechanic shop to be so lazy. Their guy didnt change the fluid at all like I was told, he just topped it off with the wrong stuff, leaving me to pay out the nose to get it fixed.Not to mention the nickel and diming they did. $120 turned into $280 pretty quick.

C&L are the guys you can trust to get it done right at a fair price and not have to worry about weather you are being told things about your vehicle that arent true. They have built their business on honesty and good referrals and you dont stay in business as long as they have without both. I have and will continue to take my personal vehicles and my company vehicles exclusively to C&L Automotive.

C&L AUTO IS A RIP-OFF!!! DO NOT GO TO C&L AUTO!!! So these guys charged me $1,250 and let me leave with the power steering pump leaking fluid and told me to keep a quart of automatic transmission fluid around to fill the power steering up when it gets low. Well, it took a quart a week and found the transmission fluid costs 3 times more than the power steering fluid! THESE GUYS DIDNT EVEN DO A COMPRESSION TEST AND I TOLD THEM ID JUST BOUGHT THE CAR!!! They burned my mom for $1,770 but she is computer illiterate and doesnt know how to post so Im speaking for my mom too. My mom is the sweetest nicest people I know and these A-holes screwed her over. Just thinking about it is upsetting but just dont take your car here. If I was to list everything these guys did to screw me over it would take all day and I have to go.

They seemedcfriendly, but when they did the inspection to sell my car to one of there regular customers, they listed things that need repaired that werent broken. (I. E. : my A/C. I wont go back there and wont recommend them.

I paid for a diagnostic report on a 1999 chevy suburban. The shop reported a bad transfercase along with about 20 other supposedly broken or damaged parts. After driving 130 miles to fix the vehicle with a new transfercase we foud that there was nothing wrong with the transfercase. And in fact none of the itmes listed were in need of repair with the exception of an obviously broken u joint. The suburban was locked in 4 lo and the tech with 28 years of experience was unable to properly identify even that. After calling the shop i was given a huge run around and told that a full diagnostic would have cost 3 times the amount charged. Bottom line I would recommend the folks needing repair in the eugene area find another shop with more than high rates and false statements to offer. As well i would question the 28 years of ase experience so frequently mentioned by this shop.
