Very impressed with this service and business! I had repairs done on my car and got a quote for cost. When I came to pick up my car, I was told that when they got inside they realized a $400 repair + part they had ordered wasn’t needed. So they appropriately repaired it without this extra cost. They could’ve easily repaired this anyway charging me the cost of the part and the labor. As a woman this has happened to me more than once with car mechanics, and it gets really tired. The ethical business model they practice is refreshing! Also they offer $50 off for first time customers. They realized I wasn’t given that with my first visit and gave it to me when I came to get my oil changed. The fact he remembered me and once again, was ethical in applying his discount meant a lot to me. In a world where money grabbing and unethical business practices is rampant, a car mechanic company that doesn’t do this is so refreshing. I won’t go anywhere else!

Eugene car care always delivers at a great price. They also stand behind their work and if something isnt right they make it right. This was the case with an AC issue I have in my wifes car. I love the integrity of this shop!

I’ve been servicing my Volvo at what I consider to be a very reputable business Eugene Car Care (formerly Swedish Engineering) for coming up on two decades. I’ve never had issues of communication, or theft. Ed and his crew of Volvo Certified Mechanics are straight up and honest, competent and courteous. Their reputation precedes them. 287k and still going in my 2001 Volvo S60 Thank you Eugene Car Care. :)

I took a car in that I was getting ready to sell just to make sure everything was okay with it before I sold it and the level of professionalism was amazing. I called for an appointment and they got me in the same day, did a entire inspection and gave me a list of things that needed done as well as things that could be done. They also gave me a print out with what the car would be worth so I had a starting point for selling it. They were AMAZING!! I highly recommend Eugene Car Care!

Had a few really great experiences with Eugene Car Care, and if you own one of the types of cars that they service, dont take it anywhere else! I brought my 2011 Forester in for a 2nd opinion after getting a quote from Kendall to fix a loud rattling. Kendall said the catalytic converter was loose/damaged and needed to be replaced. Eugene Car Care looked it over and found a missing bolt...$4. Rattling is gone and the car is running amazing. Cant thank these guys enough for their honesty especially during these tough times!

Called and was the first location that actually asked me questions about the issues my vehicle was having, very knowledgeable with fair pricing. Got me in that day and everyone was super friendly, also keeping good social distancing practices as well. Good place run by good people

I find it difficult to find a car repair shop with whom you can build a trusting relationship with long term. My experiences over the years have have proven that statement to be true. When a friend recommended Eugene Car Care as a place to have routine service completed on my Subaru Legacy, I was willing to give them a try. The people were friendly and the service advice was up-front and geared towards long-term ownership of the vehicle, which is what I need, as buying a new car is just to expensive right now. I have never actually completed a review on Google before, but I would recommend Eugene Car Care for any Subaru owner out there.

Ed helped me find a great used Subaru after my old car died. He checked it out with a fine-toothed comb and negiotated a fair price. This was an invaluable service because Im car- illiterate and would have ended up with a lemon if it hadnt been for him! Love my new Subaru!

Swedish Engineering did a wonderful job with my 1998 Volvo, they help me keep it running because I cant afford car payments. They fix only what needs to be fixed and they are superiorly nice while doing it. I feel maintence on cars makes them run much longer, they believe this there to. I would recommend without hesitation.

The staff is personable however Swedish is extremely expensive! I was charged $98.00 an hour, just for labor! Dont make my mistake; ask them their rates before you take in your car for a service/inspection. I will not go here again based on the price.

I picked up my car after paying $1200 to fix a steering problem. Turns out they hadnt actually fixed it. After that Swedishwest wanted another $1500 to replace the rack and pinion. I took my car to Alpine for a second opinion and they found and fixed the problem for a lot less. Turns out it was the shock tower mounts, and the rack and pinion didnt need replaced.I wouldnt trust these guys with anything more than an oil change again
