While I loved the urban vibe and atmosphere, sadly I wasnt a fan of the pastries or coffee. We ordered a vanilla latte made with oatmilk, a yerba mate latte made with oatmilk, a vegan banana muffin and a vegan blackberry pecan breakfast bar. The vanilla latte had a nice foamy texture, but the drink was not strong enough, It could have been benefited from an extra shot of espresso (and I generally dont order my drinks with an extra shot). If the drink had been a bit stronger I think it would have been excellent. The pastries were beautiful, but both were very very sweet, and missed the mark for me. The banana muffin was topped with a very large amount of coarse, raw sugar. I do feel that this ruined the texture a bit. The blackberry breakfast bar had a very thin layer of blackberry, it seems like it was really only there for color, the fruit flavor was not detectable. It tasted like sugared oats. I do tend to like sweets, but I did feel that everything at Coffee Plant Roaster was overly sweet, at least for my tastes. My gripes are all based on personal preference and taste, nothing to do with the customer service. I found the employees to be friendly and helpful, and the place was very clean. If youre into very sweet pastries this may be just the place for you, but Im not likely to return.

Espresso was perfect. Iced vanilla latte was smooth and subtly sweet. Breakfast burrito and açaí bowls made for a great breakfast, too! They only have a handful of table available right now so we has to take our food to go, which wasn’t a big deal, just something to be aware of :)

The modern industrial chic interior space has a high open ceiling and a dozen or so tables to accommodate dining or other typical coffee house activities. The beverage menu is impressive, as is their hot food offerings from the kitchen. The variety and creativity that goes into curating their rotating seasonal menu sets this place apart from other independent roasters who focus solely on coffee. Everything we tried was fantastic!

I love their coffee and food. Particularly the biscuits. Not so crazy about the greens. They have a big problem with their online ordering system. Ive been there 3 times, and each time Ive had ordering issues. I keep going back because of their food and the employees. The breakdown in their ordering system occurs with getting the food. Both the 1st and last time I went I was told Id be notified by email. No email received. Finally a nice woman brought my food out, telling me they didnt have car delivery service (which I already knew), and must pick my order up from the window. After I left I picked up an earlier phone message from them saying my order was ready. I called to ask the best way to ensure I got my order in a timely fashion. I spoke with a very helpful man, who told me they were having problems with their online ordering system. He told me it would be best to place my online order and go to the window about 10 minutes after.

Hands down, best place for breakfast and lunch in Eugene. Weve had a variety of the meals, and not one of them has disappointed. Consistent and professional: Each time I go in, I order the Café Borgia and this time was no exception. It was a very important meeting with a close friend after a life event for our family, and they remembered drink order from 15 minutes upon entrance and made it swiftly after porting my friends coffee. I sat comfortably at a window seat and we chatted for over an hour without interruption, and also enjoyed a tall glass each of lemon water. Will go down as perhaps my best visit yet to the establishment, where Is honestly have to think long and hard for a single complaint the several times Ive relied on them for a simple but fantastic coffee fix. Theres no better choice for coffee in the Eugene/Springfield area, so if youre visiting, skip Starbucks and enjoy ambiance with your beverage and not be another number -- become family.

There are these businesses that are hurt by covid which you would love to help as you can. And there is this that tries to use covid as an excuse for everything. If you plan to dine in, just know that there is a 30min cap on tables. At the same time know that the tables are reduced to 4. Not because there is a shortage in space or workers, but because they dont want you to sit for that long! I have no idea how covid is a problem in this case. And I cant understand why they dont want higher traffic in their business given space is not an issue.I only know one thing, I personally hate to be rushed. As for food and coffee, things are average.

Coffee Plant Roaster, being a newer business was something I had at the top of the list. This spot is definitely a reflection of a changing Eugene. Decent place and had pretty good coffee (expensive though). Unfortunately one of the workers, I think she may have even been the manager, was pretty rude to me. Kind of ruined the whole experience. There was a second worker who saw the interaction and came over later to apologize which I thought was nice of them. I probably wont be going back.(4 weeks later) Thank you Coffee Plant Roaster for your reply. I appreciate the follow up. I think the day had just been very stressful for her. We are all human. This is the coffee shop people dream of — amazing service, unparalleled food & drink products, and the aesthetic (!!!): next level. Of all the things I miss as a result of COVID19, being unable to occupy long afternoons at CPR is especially disheartening. That said, it is still overwhelmingly worth spending five socially-distanced minutes in a mask ordering, interacting with, and taking that first sip (or bite) of bliss before going back to responsible isolation. To everyone missing traveling during this time: CPR is a worthy trip!

Our coffee was just fine... I am just annoyed there was zero effort to put my coffee in a “for here cup” so that I could decant it into my reusable cup. Instead I had to unnecessarily use a plastic cup. I wasn’t asking anyone to touch my reusable cup! I understand there are covid precautions but when I see a cafe with many unmasked customers inside, using dishes that will be washed, it is difficult for me to understand why my small effort to be less wasteful is any imposition on the business. It just felt like the person helping us was lightly power tripping and instinctively saying no instead of considering an alternative solution. What a bummer!

I think this is my favorite coffee joint in Eugene. It seems so out of place since its in more of an industrial district, but I keep coming back! They honestly make the best coffee Ive had in this town and the service is always friendly. I highly recommend anything on the breakfast menu, though Im partial to the scramble. Lunch is good too, but I mean - breakfast food. Come on.Also, I know Im giving this place 5 stars but I have one big criticism - the baked goods. Dont get them. Truly. Ive given them so, so many chances and Im always let down. They make everything fresh every day and the looks and flavors themselves are great!! But the texture of everything Ive had (cakes, cookies, muffins) always feel like its been overbaked. Very crumbly in a dry, is this stale? kind of way. BUT the baked goods arent why I come here so its not enough for me to drop down below 5. Please go enjoy everything else thats wonderful here. But dont get that muffin.

One of the best coffee shops in Eugene. All of their coffee, as the name suggests, is roasted and prepared in-house. The result is a delightfully fresh and unique blend that you wont find anywhere else. They also serve breakfast and lunch, which by all accounts is competitive with other resteraunts, but doesnt particularly stand out. This is fine though, since Coffee Plant Roasters is a coffee shop first.Atmosphere is very modern and clean. The coffee roaster itself acts as a sort of centerpiece on the right side of the shop.Coffee plant roasters is definitely worth stopping by. Eugene as a whole is becoming so competitive in coffee houses! With the exception of a few outstanding chain affiliated shops, just about everyone else does their own unique blends, roasts and styles. Most are good, a few miss the mark entirely. At Coffee Plant Roasters, they know how to do it right!!I am a tough judge of coffee because I like it neat... straight Americano or Espresso, no sweetners or froth! That makes getting the roast correct and the brewing down critical as there is no opportunity for cover-up. Coffee Plant Roasters has that covered. Their espresso goes down smoothly. Further, their edibles are very nice! Its a warm and inviting place, excellently staffed and very nicely set up. The only issue you might have is parking but its worth it to walk if needed. Well done CPR!!

All the coffee drinks Ive had here have been excellent, which is what really counts. Small breakfast type items are pretty tasty too, particularly the bagel scramble sandwiches (I cant remember what they call those). At peak times it can be tough to find anywhere to sit - they have less seating partly because of their quaint reclaimed-wood tables - and getting into the parking lot can be a challenge (coming from the east, turn at the next traffic light and go behind the Taco Bell).
