My old computer stopped working and I needed to get some very important documents off of it. I stopped by simply Mac and they quoted me a great price. I was nervous about losing everything, but the guys at Simply Mac reassured me. My commute into Eugene is crazy long, and they were able to have a super fast turn around of a few hours because my computer issues didnt cause any harm to my hard drive. I left very happy knowing I made the right decision to go to Simply Mac
Awesome!Drop off could have been a lil quicker/smoother. ⭐️⭐️⭐️Pickup was fun and fast. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The computer works great and was returned to us way cleaner than we dropped it off. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Overall a wonderful experience. Stoked.
I was referred to Simply Mac by the folks at Apple after they could not resolve the problems with my MacBook Air. The store interior is reminiscent of contemporary Apple establishments. Cameron was very efficient in diagnosing the problem and provided a reassuringly detailed plan for restoring functionality. Though it took a couple of days to get everything working again, I am very satisfied with the service and the courtesy they offered.
The staff was very helpful in getting my laptop repaired and back to me, faster than the expected window it would take as well. Everyone from the store manager to the technicians were professional and helpful.
I missed an important zoom meeting recently because the zoom app on my MacBook Air didnt function properly. I took my laptop to Simply Mac in a panic because I had another meeting coming up. They saw me immediately, asked a few questions and whisked my laptop to their back room and did some diagnostics. Brought it back within 10 minutes, asked me a few more questions, clicked here and there and declared it ready to go. It was such a quick fix, they said no charge. I made it home in time to make my next meeting. Thank you, thank you, Simply Mac!
Andrew was the best. He was attentive, kind, knowledgable and was able to solve my tech problem. Thank you Andrew!
Of course I drove to the mall to get my iwatch repaired and the Apple store was no longer there…but when I called the young woman was great about giving me a few extra minutes to get down to campus! Everyone was welcoming, friendly and patient. We compared repair to new purchase prices so I left with a brand new watch! I was there maybe 20 minutes. Great customer service.
Great customer service and knowledgeable techs. I will definitely be using them for all my Apple needs.
I was nervous to go to a not official Apple Store for the first time, but the people working here were brilliant at their jobs and so friendly too! They gave me the best advice and got a frustrating situation fixed for me quickly and smoothly!
I dropped my iPhone 11 and the screen cracked. Making an appointment was super simple. The technician repaired my phone and it was good as new within a few hours. Process was made easy and I wasnt without my phone for too long. Would definitely recommend if you need help with your Apple products!
It would be nice if youre going to get your phone replaced or repaired right there being without a phone for a 7 to 10 days its not right.
The team here has always gone out of their way to ensure my Mac is running the best it can and has provided servicing under Apples limited warranty at no cost to me. I really appreciate their kindness, patience, and thoroughness. Thank you all!
I called several times to speak with someone, but no one was available. Although they said walkins are acceptable on their site I still set an appointment online. I arrived a few minutes after my appointment time, and explained to the employee that my screen was cracked, I have Apple care + and simply would like to drop off my laptop for repair. She told me I had to set an appointment and come back later, to drop off the laptop. I attempted to inform her how inconvenient it is for me to have to come back, when I am already here with the product I need repaired. She appeared to be irritated by the fact that I did not understand why I would have to come back hours from now, or the next day to drop off a product to be repaired when I am already here with it? There was no other customers in the store, so I dont understand why I was not helped. I took my computer to Best Buy and I was treated like a valued customer, there was no run around and the business was swift and professional. I will never return to Simply Mac, because I do not appreciate the way I was handled as an adult or as a potential client.
The staff went the extra mile to locate the Macbook Pro I was looking for. When they found one they called to let me know and set it aside so it wouldnt get sold before I =could get there later that day.
Amazing service. Professional, competent and caring people. Excellent communication throughout the entire experience. So thankful.
I had my iMac fixed in this store and they did an excellent job! I worked with Chance and he was very helpful throughout the process. Highly recommended!
The staff were friendly and polite. They were thorough in their explanation of my options with my MacBook. They were also timely in notifying me when it was ready for pick up.
I was very pleased with the staff at Simply Mac. They acknowledged each person that walked in the door, apologized for being short handed and asked them to wait. They were all very polite, kind, caring and knowledgeable. Everyone I saw come and go while I was there left happy.I was sad that my hard drive was dead, but Marlon was able to extract a complete copy of my hard drive on to an external hard drive for me that same day, saving me another trip to Eugene. I live 1 1/2 hours away. I am very grateful that he saved all my data and work. I left Simply Mac very very grateful and happy. Thank you Marlon!I would recommend them anytime. Very nice team, they rock!
Fast, expert service. Rave review!
Cameron was super helpful getting the process going and explains the details of the fix needed. Definitely my go to place for Apple product fixes.
I ordered a computer from Simply Mac on January 4th and was told that it should ship around January 19th... It is currently March 1st and they still wont give me a tracking number or any confirmation as to whether or not they’ve even started building my computer! I’ve called about 6 times now and half of those times I get a manager or employee that tells me they’ll look into it and call me back, I’ve still not had a call returned. There doesn’t seem to be any sense of urgency fulfilling my order but they sure were quick to charge my credit card...
I took my desktop MAC in because there was a lag in print time. Ten seconds after choosing print for the printer to print. Paid $99. Picked up a week, same problem
4/27 & 28- I need work on my Mac. You need an appointment. Online, I could not make an appointment. I kept getting a pink Whoops! Something went wrong. Five times. On the phone, again 5 times, I was put on hold. Intermittently I was told I could push * to leave a message, but that didnt work. It finally went to message when it was ready after about 10 minutes of bad music. Ive left 3 messages since yesterday. Heard nothing. I cannot reach them.
I hope you guys could fix my ipad and if you guys can then im giving this store all stare rating!
Great Encounter @ the Eugene Store... Marlin was Extremely Professional, Knowledge was off the Chart...thanx greg boam
From beginning to end, everything was deserving of 5 stars. Prompt, communicative, quick, excellent repair. It was expensive repair, but thats Apple, not them. they dont set the prices.
Just called and asked some questions and they were able to give some advice over the phone. So helpful! Thanks!
Employees were a bit rude and seemed bugged that I had come in even though I was the only customer there. When giving me my total For a screen they had added an additional $40 on top for labor and “other fees” and then told me they were the only place that could fix my screen and have it apple certified. Took me all of 90 seconds to google and find out Best Buy partnered with Apple in June of 2019 and Best Buy charges no additional fees and were much kinder about explaining options for me.
Took my sons iPhone 7 Plus here because the lightning port failed. They checked it and agreed that the port needed to be replaced and quoted me $350 to fix it and said i should just buy a new phone for $400. They claimed the lightning port was soldered to the board and that’s why it cost so much. They would have to send it off and it would take several days if i chose to repair it. I decided to look at my options and left. I then called CPR Cell Phone Repair on Coburg rd. I told them my problem but didn’t talk to them about Simply Mac. They said they could repair it in two hours for 69.00. I didn’t believe .....i was wrong. They fixed it in an hour and a half and charged me 69 bucks.Buyer beware.
Cameron fixed our phone in the store same day. He was knowledgeable, and very nice. He understood the problem right away and fixed it right. Very grateful.
The employees here are SO nice and professional, and most importantly - helpful! They got my phone screen fixed and its looking fantastic. Thanks!
Do not use this store as an authorized Apple service provider. Apple set up an appointment for me and said there would be no charge. Simply Mac said that it would $29 if they could fix the problem and that Apple didn’t know what they were talking about.
I made an appointment through Apple to come to SimplyMac for a battery replacement for my phone. Upon arriving/checking in, and performing diagnostics, they determined the only way they could do said replacement (for my circumstances) was to get an exception code sent over to them. I went through the process. I must have been on the phone with Apple 4 or 5 different times. I know I went into the store another good 4 or 5 times. Everyone in there was aware of the issue I was having. By the end of it all, everything was resolved and I was able to set up an appointment to get the iPhone repaired.I will say that for all the back and forth I had to do, and all the times the staff had to speak with Apple, they must have been getting tired of seeing me come in so much within such a short time span. Perhaps not.Every time I spoke with them, they were helpful, kind, listened, and made sure to do everything they could to help. I really felt bad coming in so much. But they really gave excellent customer care and I appreciate it 110%. The only name I could remember was Kendra’s, and she was just as good as the rest of them!Thank you all for incredible help! It was much appreciated!5/5 stars.
Staff is always friendly, sincere and knowledgeable. Turn around time is fast.
Outstanding service! Cameron was especially knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. Highly recommend!
Cameron was such a big help to me. His joyful presence, breadth of knowledge, ability to listen, and caring for my particular needs assisted me in making my purchase decisions. This is customer service to the max, and I deeply appreciate it. Thank you Simply Mac!
Simply Mac took incredible care of me. As soon as I walked in I immediately helped by an associate who answered all my questions and helped me compare the different models. In no time at all I got all setup with a laptop, thick carry case, and great protective coverage just in case I cause any issues down the road. The experience in the store was great!
Excellent service! I went in for help unlocking a device and got speedy, friendly, and affordable help.
I went to Simply MAC for a couple iPhone charger cords and a wall square. Dominique sold me a “ Mac approved” brand named Native Union. Lifetime warranty and belt cables. My experience was fast and painless, just the way I like it!
This location is perminatly closed not temporary. Simply mac has relocated to 881 E13th Ave in downtown Eugene. No sign is posted at valley river mall due to mall staff wanting a major surcharge for a sign on a closed store. Also many people have made appointments here at the closed location.
I got amazing service from who I believe was one of the people in charge (a woman with long brown hair) and a man with short brown hair. Anyways, even though they were short staffed I got amazing customer service in a very timely manner. Everyone was being helped and made to feel they weren’t forgotten about even though there was more people needing help than staff. I come here for all of my repairs and all of my issues always get solved. Thank you guys.
I had a great experience at the Simply Mac Store in Eugene. My first visit, Sean helped me determine which Mac would be best for my needs and provided good advice. My second visit, Dominique helped me purchase my MacBook Air and transferred data for me in record time. Both Sean and Dominique were extremely professional, yet personable. They both were very impressive in the amount of knowledge they possessed and shared about the different Mac products.
I bought my I-Mac used from a third party and while trying to get rid of information from the other person off it, lost the system files and had no way to recover the data. I first took it to Best Buy and the geek squad was going to charge me $100 to restore it told me it is either a corrupt hard drive or bad motherboard, and was nothing they could do, so I took to the Mac store and the guy while talking to me, ran a diagnostic and it passed in seconds. so then i asked how much it would cost, and it would be a $70 and I was happy about that, and when I went to pick it up everything ran fine, and I asked how much I owed and they said there is no charge, all this and the most friendly people. I would definitely recommend them.
Shawn (Sean?) Is Amazing - PERFECT CUSTOMER SERVICE. I was underwhelmed with the first 2 people whom helped me at this store. I bought a refurbished computer and it was a dud and the repair did not do a thing. I called a 3rd time, got Shawn (or is it Sean?) and he was the definition of excellent customer service. I highly recommend him if you can arrange to work with him directly. He saved me time, money and was professional in every aspect.
We tried to give them a chance after reading all of the negative reviews. We needed a new battery for our Mac Book Pro. We actually got through on the phone, and since we live in Florence we were told that they were out of the battery we needed and would order one for us. Once it was received we would be notified so that we could then make an appointment, and that it would only take an hour to install. After three weeks we called and after numerous attempts to get through to them which included leaving messages and receiving no call backs, we finally did get through. We were informed that the battery for some reason had not been sent from Idaho but that another one would be ordered. Again three weeks later after leaving messages and no call backs we again talked to a live person. At this time we were transferred to somebody possibly a manager, who informed us that we would have to bring in the lap top for a tech to look at it and then a battery could be ordered. We do not know what kind of operation they are running there but we certainly will not be doing business with them. We have lost six weeks, we know it needs a new battery, we provided them with model number and year of the lap top there was no reason to have to have a tech look at it. If you chose to do business with them we hope you have better luck than we did. When its time for a new lap top Id drive to Portland rather than buy from these people.
Im rating 3 stars because I went into this store yesterday and they looked at my phone and made me an appointment to fix it, however when I went into my appointment this morning, they let me know they actually dont have the parts to fix my phone. This was disappointing an a waste of time, HOWEVER Bri was incredible. If I were rating her alone, Id give her five stars for her customer service. She gave me other options, made suggestions of where else to go, and since Im new to town and my phones broken, she even printed me out directions to Best Buy so I could find my way. Though I left disappointed without my phone fixed, I was incredibly thankful for her friendliness and help.
My iphone wasnt working properly and turned out to need a factory reset. Ethan was courteous and attentive, explained what needed to be done, and ensured that I understood. The process took 20 minutes as described.
Can’t really complain anything except for the delivery time consuming ~ TOOK A MONTH TO GET MY CUSTOM MBP. Staffs are pretty friendly and helpful, I think it’s good experience for this time. My opinion, it is a good option to order stuff from them, because they are the only local store that sells Apple stuff.
I had to get my laptop serviced for a parts recall, and Simply Mac made it so easy! Employees were friendly, efficient, and extremely helpful. They went above and beyond during both drop-off and pick-up of the laptop. They gave honest and useful advice, and I definitely recommend this store to anyone and everyone!
They were very good with communication and explaining the process of repair. The only downside was that I had to wait two weeks for them to replace my logic board on my macbookm, which left me without a computer for much longer than I would have liked. Besides that though, great service.
I called no less than 10 times over an hour period and no one ever picked up. I even decided to hold for the next available employee multiple times during each call but no one ever answered the phone. I get that they work with computers, but you still have to pick up the phone if you want to run a business. I recommend buying directly from Apple instead of going through Simply Mac.
I had the best experience with this business. I brought my lap top in and it was fixed in 2 days. Covered under warranty and no issues. They serviced the computer and returned it better than I left it. The email correspondence was great too. Highly recommend this place. Thank you for excellent service.
They give me a good advise for my old laptop,
Entire staff was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and most importantly to me, My phone was replaced in two days instead of the seven days that was originally quoted! I can’t recommend them highly enough!!! Service was amazing!
The quality of technical repairs done to my phone was perfect.... The ambition with certain customer service reps was sub par, I felt like I had to show how desperate I was to have my phone repaired to actually have them take initiative.I am far from impressed with work ethic (or lack there of) and will only return to this store because it is the only one within 3 hours driving distance.Store 420 Eugene, I’m sorry.
The screen malfunctioned on my laptop. Simply Mac not only replaced the screen within a week, they had it covered under an extended warranty somehow and I was only charged the initial labor fee. Way to go! Im so happy with their service!!!!!!!!!! I would definitely use their service again and recommend it to other. Thank-you!
Walked in, talked to the person behind the counter who was very courteous and helpful. She didnt make me feel bad (as I already felt terrible about having an iPod that was moisture damaged); She asked if I had tried home remedies, checked the device, suggested a corrective course of action. A few days later all was well and I have functioning device. Very good experience and very courteous, prompt and knowledgeable folks that were able to help
Horrifying experience purchasing a MacBook that corrupted my original computer and two back up hard drives. simply Mac was unable to present any solution outside of investing more money to fix what was previously not broken. overall was treated poorly. goodbye forever
The i-cloud had stolen over 400 photos from my travels, but Patrick used magic (and some computer skills) to restore the photos to their proper albums. Then, when it happened again, I called and he walked me through the steps to reinsert the photos and disconnect my i-phone from the cloud so my photos wouldnt be hijacked again!! Bravo!
Easy to use website. Made an appointment for a service that was a warranty issue. They werent able to do the battery replacement since the criteria was a little outside the specs determined by Apple but suggested I come back in a couple months when the efficiency dropped below 80% charge. Overall good experience with patient and professional staff.
Knowledgable staff, friendly, helpful. When a problem developed they put me to the front in order to take care of the computer I use for my business. I appreciated it greatly. Thanks
TL;DR: Go to the Best Buy Geek Squad instead.Long version: Tried to schedule an appointment online to get my iPhone 6s battery replaced, but the website has no clear path to do that. I called the store for assistance and no one answered the phone. I called three different times over the course of a morning and opted to hold on the line many times, but no one ever answered. Then I called every Simply Mac in Oregon and somehow not a single store answered the phone. After reading these reviews, I contacted Best Buy for my battery replacement. They answered the phone and it was super easy to schedule a repair appointment online.
I appreciated your help.I was happy to get my computer back so fast. You are personable and knowledgeable.Thank you
Knowledgeable staff with everything you need to iMac correctly.
Ethan helped us with our phone. He was quick, knowledgable and extremely helpful. Thanks!!
Got pretty good service even though they were really busy... I think I got the new guy because he kept having to go and ask others what to do but was still very nice and got my questions answered... Took them a very long time to greet me when I first got there but again, it was busy...
Very unorganized. I called twice to confirm an appointment for a data transfer between two macbooks, and when I showed up my name was STILL not on the appointment list. The data transfer took 2 days longer than I was told it would. I notified it was ready to be picked up, then not an hour later got a call saying the transfer did not work and my hard drive was failing. They seemed to have been mistaken, as everything was fine the next day. I was charged A LOT of money for a simple data transfer and all they transferred were my files, something I could have done myself. I still had to change settings and download apps on my new computer. It seemed as if 5 different people were dealing with my computers and not communicating with each other. I do not recommend this store and would not feel comfortable taking any devices here again.
Came in yesterday to get the screen on my iPhone 8 replaced around noon. The screen & digitizer both needed replaced, they got it ordered, I left my phone with them and came back to pick it up today not even 24 hours later! It works like new and I couldn’t be happier
My Mac-pro wasn’t able to turn on during the middle of my projects. I found Simply Mac on Google and walked in. Store staff made an appointment for me right away (asking for some contact info) and about ten minutes later, I was speaking with Jacob, the in-store technician. My Mac turned on as soon as he plugged it in. Then he ran a diagnosis, finding a few issues with the Mac. To make sure I would be able to turn it on after I returned home, he ran another diagnosis with my own non-Apple charging cord. The second diagnosis was slightly different but we worked out a solution, actually two - for both short and long terms. It would have taken about one week if I had left the Mac in the store for repair. I didn’t have a week to spare without the computer so I decided to back it up on my own and whisper to my angels “please let me finish my projects.”
Great save by Sean, the manager, and Patrick, head tech. I had spoken with less experienced techs the night before and thought that I would be picking up my machine still in an unusable state. However, when I arrived just as the store opened this morning, Sean had put Patrick on the job earlier this morning and mission accomplished. They even refunded the fees for my inconvenience. On top of that, they noticed how slowly it was booting and found a recycled wire that would fit my old machine and replaced it on the spot free of charge. They made my day! Thanks, Sean and Patrick.
The manager Tyler went above and beyond to help me purchase 4 iPads for donation purposes to our local cancer center. We have been fundraising to make this purchase for sometime now. When I went into the store I luckily had the absolute pleasure of meeting Tyler. He helped make this purchase possible. I can attest that these iPads will be life changing for the patients who are now able to check them out during chemo infusion days. I appreciate Tyler and his willingness to step up as a compassionate community member, store manager, and decent human being and help out our nonprofit. Thank you Tyler! Thank you Simply MAC!
These folks are extremely hard to get ahold of and communication was a constant issue every time Ive needed my computer services. That being said when they worked well and got my computer fixed the best they could. There was a SUPER helpful gal I cannot remember her name but she deserves a raise.
Spoke with Cam on the phone earlier in the week, and walked in today. They have a good collection of both new and used computers. Helped right away by Dom (Shortened their names, because I dont want to mess up the spelling). He was very helpful, even stayed a little after his shift to keep helping me, and Cam helped finish everything up. Zero complaints, and they were very friendly. Walked out with a new computer, and couldnt be happier. Thanks guys!
Called for over 20 minutes to ask if they had a computer in stock. Nobody picked up and so I drove over there and the guy at counter was bothered that I asked him why nobody would answer their phone. Then asked me to leave. I will never go back to this place ever again or refer anyone here
Although the staff themselves were nice, the quality of how they handled things with my phone were very poor. They didn’t do what they had told me they did and made the whole process a very stressful and frustrating experience. I hope the next time I need help, they will be able to be proficient in solving my problems.
They moved! No longer at Valley River. Now at 881 E 13th Ave, Eugene 97401. Next to the Ducks Store.
I had ad malware on my MacBook Air that I could not eliminate. I dropped by the store at Valley River Shopping Center and told them my dilemma. I asked them to perform a complete scan of my computer. The woman helping me said it would take 1-3 business days. I explained that it was pretty much my lifeline and could they possible get it sooner. She asked the technician if he could get it done any sooner and I was promised theyd do their best. It was ready for me 3 hours later and the cost was extremely reasonable given the layers of malware they had to deal with. I was updated with emails and phone calls. I really like this place and it will now be my go to store.
Simply Mac simply saved me! My iphone was freaking out and not communicating with the cloud. Id spent 4 hours on the phone with Apple support with no solution in sight. Thankfully, PATRICK at Simply Mac was not only helpful, but incredibly knowledgeable and fixed my phone in 2 hours. He was smart, informative and funny. I left with a working phone and a much better idea of how to trouble shoot issues in the future. Highly rec Simply Mac and especially Patrick:)
Best place in town to buy an apple product (although that isnt saying much because there arent that many places to buy one). But anyway, every time I have gone into this store I have been greeted by multiple green shirted minions. I usually am just looking around, or going in to play with the iPads, but when I have questions they seem very eager to answer. You can tell that the staff is excited about their jobs, which is nice and refreshing. Although they never know when things are coming out, they will always answer to the best of their abilities.
Absolutely terrible. Brought my phone in Saturday for an out of warranty repair. Was told the diagnostics would take about an hour and that if they had what they needed I could leave with a new phone. After checking stock, they didnt have a new phone/part/whatever so told me theyd check in my phone, run the diagnostic, and order the new phone, which would take 5-7 business days. Its now been 4 days, and whenever I check my repair status online it still says our computer has been checked into our service queue and is currently awaiting diagnosis. Not sure why this is the case when I was told it should take an hour when I was in the store. Additionally, I have tried calling the store multiple times, and get no answer when I select the option for check on service status and a message saying the inbox in full. This has occurred for several days now. Any other option I choose from the automated message also does not connect me to a real person. This is all made more infuriating by the fact that when I was in the store there appeared to be about 4 employees just hanging out doing nothing but playing with their phones.I live about an hour away from the store and I feel like my only option is to now drive back down just to inquire where the service order is at, and probably still wont drive away with a phone.
The associates at this store are only interested in making sales. I went in with an issue on a product and APPLE sent me to this location directly, they refused to help and damaged my product in the process
Overall, pretty good service! They were patient with my three year old being in tow and quickly resolved my phone issue. I did have to send my phone away and they replaced it! Woohoo! I wish theyd have helped me a little more with backing up my info first. Overall a good customer experience.
They are very kind and responsive so that it seems like youre getting great service, but they neglect basic details like looking up whether youre still under your Apple care plan before giving you an estimate and/or recommendation! Getting a second opinion stopped me from losing ALL my data from a damaged hard drive and paying hundreds of dollars to repair it myself when I still had apple care coverage. Nice people, but a poorly run business.
Wonderful people with great skills. Really impressive.
They will add frivolous fees to the posted Apple support repair costs and will not be up front about it. They will wait until you are ready to pick up your device and lay it on you. This is a sleazy business practice.
I walked into this Mac store in 2/29. A representative asked me if I had an appointment. An appointment? I thought this was a walk in store. How can I help you? I need a battery for my MacBook Air. He opened up my computer and scolded me for waiting so long. Then he informed me that the batter for $164 plus $110 installing it. I said No!’ The battery is $129.99 online. He informed me I will need someone to install it. Fortunately I do. I then went to Battery Plus. They ordered my battery and will install it for free. Forget this store.
Lack of workers is a lack in service. on hold for 15 minutes and then the system hung up on me. Hire more people and stop saying your the best since your not!
Person to person, in store, they provide great service. Try to reach someone by telephone and it may take 30 minutes. At that also involves listening to the telephone ring 15 or 20 times and full voice message boxes. They always have a reason - obviously good ones from their perspective - for why it can be so difficult to reach them. Their excuses dont satisfy me. A customer-friendly store doesnt treat callers like this. If they arent able to promptly deal with telephoning customers they barely warrant two stars.Be prepared to drive to them, and pay close attention to their store hours. They are in a shopping mall.
Frankly the worst place to get your Apple laptop fixed. Charged me diagnostic fee but could not tell what the issue with the laptop is, told me they dont know and will have to send it to Apple for a fee of $600. Could be multiple things is what they say. Well if you cant find that out then dont bother checking in the laptop for diagnostics. Good luck getting anything fixed here. Diagnostic fee without any diagnosis. What a sham!
My computer was having MINOR problems that I didnt need to fix right away but could be fixed, and before taking it into them it turned on fine and everything, once I get home, and plug it in, it wont turn on. I have never been more frustrated in my life, so I call simply mac and they tell me what do I want them to do about it, seriously!?!! And before I went it, employees from another store told me they have heard bad stuff about it but I shook it off. Also while getting a diagnostic, they employees acted as if they didnt want to help me and that I was a burden for taking it in. Never take your computer into simply Mac, go to a real apple store.
So I have Xfinity mobile which I am very happy with. I am paying for insurance thru them. Well I broke the home button on my iPhone 8 and when I called Xfinity mobile they said that all their insurance claims for Apple products have to go thru apple care. I though to myself “well I don’t have apple care”. I figured I’d just go talk to simply Mac. They were very busy when I walked in but had no problem assisting me. When I told them my situation she took my phone and looked in the settings and informed me that I DO have apple care. The screen replacement would have been almost 200 bucks but with Apple care it was only 30. I scheduled an apt for the next day. I showed up a half hour early and they helped me out as soon as I got there. They checked to make sure nothing else needed done, had me sign a couple things and said see you in an hour. An hour later I showed up and they had my phone ready for me as promised. However these are not the reasons I’m giving a 5 star. I’m giving a 5 star because each and every interaction I had was received with a great positive attitude. All the employees seemed eager and happy to help and answer questions. Not just for me but with other customers I saw them helping in the store. Everyone seemed knowledgeable and more than willing to exercise their expertise and share their knowledge with the other customers. I have worked in many customer service settings and have always made it a point to provide the best most professional customer service while making my customers comfortable with our interaction. And I can absolutely say. That I had that experience the whole time with simply Mac.
Great store for all your apple needs. Only thing is they make you pay a deposit to have someone diagnose your broken product, but its non-refundable.. (You are paying an IT fee basically but they make it sound like its going towards the total cost to fix your item) So be weary.
If I could give Simply Mac negative stars, I would. I have NEVER encountered this level of incompetence. They misdiagnosed my MacBook twice, incorrectly, and it is STILL not fixed. The customer service is terrible, not once did they call me when they said they would. Every time I wanted an updated, I had to call them, be put on hold for 5-10 minutes. The last time I called, they hadnt even logged my computer into their system yet! And they had it for a week! I called and the guy at the counter questioned me if I had REALLY dropped it off or as if I didnt know my own name. Is there literally any other name it could be underAbsolutely not, are you serious? They also lied straight to my face about actually fixing it. Said they ordered a part for my computer but it was faulty. I called today and they said that they hadnt ordered a part and that that never happened. Wait, what? So what the heck were you doing with my $3000 laptop for 9 days?
First & last time in a MAC store. Theres a reason this location does not give lessons. Go to Best Buy instead
I bought two iPad pros 11 inch. They were the only ones in town that had stock. The sales person was well knowledgeable on everything and made the sale very easy.
I went in to get a replacement battery for my laptop. When it came back to me the laptop was over heating at the right speaker did not work. Eventually the computer stopped booting altogether. I contacted Apple Support who was able to fix the mistake they made that caused the computer to stop booting. However, Simply Mac told me it was the logic board now broken causing the speaker to not work and that I needed a new logic board for $750. The people at Apple told me they were wrong after they did basic diagnostic tests and that it was purely a speaker issue. Apple told me to forego using Simply Mac again and drive to Portland to get a new speaker because the people here obviously did not understand what they were doing. I will never take any more items to this store for repair.
Marlon at Eugene, OR, store was helpful, accurate and knowledgeable without wasting any time. Five stars for Marlon.Barbara Young
Simply Mac is a shoddy circus of scams and identity theft. Dont bring your device to these laughable excuses for Apple Specialists, unless you want to be given a stolen phone or have your credit card information stolen. To elaborate, I had an issue with my iPhone 6S. I brought it into Simply Mac, and they said that the issue was covered under warranty, and that they would wipe my current phone clean, send it off to Apple, and Apple would send them a refurbished phone in replacement. Like the ever-trusting sheep of a consumer I must have been, I said okay, and handed them my damaged phone.(For a little context, my credit card information was on this phone, and would be easily accessible to whoever had the phone). Not more than two days later, I noticed an odd charge on my credit card statement. I called my credit card company, and they said that it was for a donation to charity. I made no such donation. I had not given my credit card information to any organization or company. The only way that anyone else could have possibly had access to my information would be to have the card itself, (which I have in my possession), or to have my phone with the information on it.In case theres room for doubt, the phone number associated with the fraudulent charge on my statement belonged to none other than Devon (last name omitted), the technician who helped me with my phone.Imagine that. When I went to the store to pick up my new phone and confront them about it, the technician was conveniently not working, and the guys that were working were very rude and dismissive of my predicament. The phone I received as a replacement was not boxed, as all refurbished products are supposed to be, and it was visibly used (not refurbished). The tech I spoke to about this issue was very sarcastic and suggested that I was spreading rumors (though another reviewer had a very similar occurrence). After I left the store and sat outside for a bit to talk with Apple about the issue (the Apple technician I spoke to before had told me to check the serial number on the new phone to see if it was a stolen phone), another employee of Simply Mac stood nearby staring at me and texting someone. The Apple technician told me that the serial number did not match a device that they had released as refurbished, confirming that the device was either stolen, sold, or an employee-use phone.Long story short, Simply Mac will go through your phone and steal your information if you dont wipe it yourself, and they will give you a crappy replacement phone that is NOT an Apple-issued refurbished device.Dont bother with this sham of a shop. Just deal with shipping or drive to Portland.
