My first shooting experience is really great. They’re useful and kind to explain how to use the handgun. We got a beautiful afternoon here, especially I hit the bullseye.

I hadnt been to this building since it was Barrons den due to military service. I have since had two trips starting a month or so ago with some friends. My first visit, i didnt join a membership I just paid the $20 for the lane (brought my own ammo), bought some NRA targets for $1/ each because I didnt bring my own, and then proceeded to the range to enjoy. They were very thorough making sure each of us had our safety items, and offered us the opportunity to use any of the rental handguns fora small fee of $10. At the time they had 9mm ammo to purchase with a 50 round box/ person limitation for $18. Keep in mind that the pandemic caused this limitation and there is no guarantees that they will have ammo for your caliber when you go. My first experience couldnt have been better. The next time i went, which was about two weeks later was just myself. After my first visit, and looking at the benefits of being a member i decided i was going to become a member on my next visit. So I walked up to the counter, informed them i was there to shoot for the day and i would like to become a member. I am a very avid shooter, i go several times a month., for me the membership was well worth it. And on top of it i get two free background checks per year, saves $20 right off the top. Then every time I utilize the rage I save about $10. You can find membership benefits on their website and Im sure they can change. So dont hold me to this. However, at my time of joining it was well worth it. Now my second visit was just as good as my first visit. This time i actually had several good conversations with the employees. They seemed well informed as well as open to listening the others. If you are going there to purchase a handgun, I warn you dont be surprised if they dont have much inventory. I go to several gunshops in the Eugene/Junction City area weekly and this is pretty standard right now. My overall experience is what I would expect from a place that provided customer service to a certain point. I would recommend this place to anyone, especially someone who wants to try out a handgun before they buy one.

My friend and I went today. Neither of us have ever been to a range here. Christian was so awesome. He walked me thru everything I needed to know on how to use my new gun. He didnt mind spending the time and made sure we were comfortable before we went in. He was so awesome I got a membership and cant wait to go back again! Every one in there was very nice even when I had called 4 times before I went, never an aggravated tone or anything from anyone who answered the phone . Im from Philadelphia and was only other place I been at a range at and was the best experience I have ever had in a range! Thank you so much for all your help! Cant wait to go back again! 10 out of 10 highly recommend!!!

I frequent a regularly and its always great customer service even if im there to just bs and look around and talk guns yall never miss a beat in it stock may be limited but the fact that i can talk with yall about everything from glock 19s to the weird and rare military surplus firearms and im not met with glazed eyes of a guy looking at it as a 9-5 job is greatCan actually tell these folks are actuall enthusiasts of firearms

Waited 3 weeks for a background check to learn I was delayed. I had to call the store to find this info out after they told me theyd call me back. They blamed it on covid and the elections, I said sure. Waited another 3 weeks while calling OSP 5 days a week, everyday, at 10am on the dot.After 2 months of waiting I finally said screw it Ill just go get a refund. Grabbed my receipt and noticed they spelled my last name wrong. Well, thatll probably do the trick if they got anything else wrong on my info.Went to another store bought the same gun and was cleared to take it home 9 days later.

Before going here I was hesitant of guns. These guys showed me how when you properly take care of your gun - putting gun safety first - shooting guns is actually a very fun thing to do. Now going to the shooting range is a frequent thing my friends and I go and do for fun.NorthWest Arsenal is my favorite indoor shooting range in Eugene and the general Portland, OR area. The employees love what they do and it shows. And whatever your skill level is, NW Arsenal is the best place to go shoot. 👍

I went there today with a friend to rent a machine gun. They also did some excellent gunsmithing on the side at a good price. But my goodness, what kind and respectful staff! Im not used to dealing with staff this nice at a range. Awesome, awesome people. The machine guns were super fun to shoot. I chose to shoot an MP5 with an Eotech holographic sight and an older styled M4 with a fixed carry handle. Both were a blast, and honestly I couldnt have had a better time. 5 star service all the way, you really need to check them out.

As Europeans it isn’t easy to go somewhere and shoot firearms in our home country. On this rainy day during our holiday in the US, we (2 parents, 2 adult kids) decided to visit this shooting range and we were not disappointed! Staff was knowledgeable and we got a detailed instruction for the guns we used. After trying different handguns for an hour or so we ended our session with a few rounds with machine guns. Quite an experience and we left the place slightly excited 👍

My wife and I just had a blast here on a date night! We rented their stuff which made it easy to just show up, have fun and head off to dinner. Oliver was a fantastic teacher of technique and got us shooting straight right off the bat. I’m definitely going to be giving gift cards to NW Arsenal from now on!

Went in there to learn more about guns as well as potentially buy my first gun. Asked a few simple question about each gun I looked at and the typical response was I dont know. or You would have to look that up yourself. I understand not everyone knows everything but at least try to ask someone in your staff to see if they can answer my question.Reasonable pricing. Good range.

I went in to the northwest off the recommendation of a co-worker being that I didnt know jack squat about guns or shooting. Oliver who was one of the staff members there was way more helpful than he needed to be. I asked for a little guidance and info and he had vast knowledge and expertise on one of many firearms. His attitude along with other staff was positive and demeanor was welcoming. Making a second trip back with a friend and soon maybe becoming a member. Wish they had the pistol I wanted to try but the vast firearms in their inventory for rentals was more than enough for a day of shooting. I recommend bringing a sweater or hoody as the fans that blow in the lanes made it a bit cold for me; but thats just me. Otherwise great place of business.

As an adult novice to guns, I came in a little intimidated to speak with these guys. My lack of knowledge was obvious, but the staff was so awesome and helpful, especially Cody. He even went into the range with me to show me the controls of the pistol I was shooting, and gave me some pointers on how to improve my aim. I walked out with a much greater level of comfort handling a firearm, and I will be absolutely come back.

This place is great! The employees are friendly and they have a wide range of targets... I bought a stream light flashlight for my ar and of course its awesome... also they are the best price for quality tactical scopes that i have seen! unfortunately its not 223 friendly... Im not sure about shotguns

Amazing place, this is like my favorite shooting range. They have a whole bunch of guns you can try for like $5. Unreal. Ive gotten a gun or two from them to cannot recommend them highly more highly

My family has been to the Barons Den 3 or 4 times now. Weve only dealt with one guy.. Colin is great. He seems very knowledgeable and really takes care of the customer. Ive been to some of the guns shops in town and some of them are real jerks. Not Colin though. Seems like a real nice guy....

I have bought several guns from Barons and have had excellent service. While there prices can be a little higher their knowledge and willingness to help are far superior.Who else has a range and guns you can try out before you buy ?

If you are a long range shooter this is the place to go! They have what you need and then some. Shooting range is fun too.

I really love the layout of this place. They have a huge selection of guns and everything as aesthetically pleasing. However, the service has been very poor for me and others that I have talked to about this place. Dont go here if you dont know what you are looking for because they probably wont be too much help for you.

Its a nice place with a very nice range but they only allow lead free ammo, so thats 16 to $17 for a box of 9mm ammo to shoot there, on top of the 20 dollars for the day. That adds up pretty quick for only being able to shoot 50 rounds of 9mm.

You cant shoot here even youHave you own gun always changerules and when you want know why. The stuff will shows you their gun just kick you out. They dont treat you like a Customer . Stuff will threatening you and yawp to you . The worst places!!!!

-- Been to Lebanon, Albany Rifle and Pistol, and Tritac in Salem. This is my favorite for pistols when Im focused on improving my marksmenship. Wide range of targets, always clean, over 12 lanes. $25 for the day (no hourly rates) is steep if you are going to shoot for a couple of hours or less. If you are shooting for 3 or more it is worth it. Rental fees are the best Ive seen with a wide range of brands and calibers. $5 per caliber and you can rent any pistol in that caliber. Prices are high for pistols, some accessories, and ammo. My suggestion is to test guns here if you are looking for a conceal or full-duty and to bring your own ammo. The targets are fair price.

This is a great place! I had taken a hard fall while hunting the archery elk opener on 9/25/12 and my cheap holster failed, causing damage to the rear sight of my S&W 329PD. I want my .44 on my hip when hunting in bear country. So Roben Kesel repairs my revolver and fits me for the perfect holster (so I can wear it cross draw or strong arm) while I wait. In 40 minutes I was back on the road and ready to hunt. Thank you to Barons Den for bailing me out and getting me back on the hunt so expediently. Youre great! And the holster you selected for me Roben? I love it! After field testing, it is everything I asked for. Much obliged.

Why pay for a membership when they wont let you shoot during business hours? Showed up at 530 to shoot 100 rounds, all to be told i cant shoot by some cranky old guy. Wont be renewing my membership.

Great range but to exoensive for regular outings to shoot. Dialing in new hardware is about the only reason i would go there.

Staff can come off as unwelcoming but they are very helpful if you ask questions. Range fees can also be quite expensive ($25 for non-members)

FYI: Guys the range is shut down and going out of business. Save yourself a trip.
