Getting a new phone should be an exciting experience that you look forward to. I DREAD going to the verizon store so much that I purposely wear my phones out beyond reasonable functionality just to avoid this place a little while longer.Today I couldnt put off the trip any longer. The people that work at the Verizon store are the best and worst thing about it. Theyre so nice but usually lacking in basic job competency. This means the service takes way more time than it should, and they make serious mistakes from failure to be proactive.Heres a list of what went wrong today. 1) Not told about the upgrade fee until the transaction is ready to be finalized. 2) Not told until payment is being submitted that the upgrade fee is cut in half if using the online store. 3) Continually cramming the Verizon store app and website down my throat after it was painfully obvious neither of them was working. 4) failure to explain that you would need to buy your own, separate piece of equipment to charge an i-phone.Today was on track to be the most effortless new phone experience Ive had. They got in their own way because of their insistence on using the online store and the whole ordeal went well past an hour longer than it should have. That, on top of the lack of proactive service, only reinforced the idea that I have more to look forward to going to the doctor or dentist than to the Verizon store.

Rude staff, irresponsible manager! Everyone is lying there! I wonder how a reputable company like Verizon has such employees.

Seneca was awesome and extremely helpful! I was having problems with my phone and needed an upgrade. She stayed late to make sure I got exactly what I needed (Note 10+), set it up and I walked out very pleased with my experience. The customer service from everyone at this Verizon store was absolutely the best! Madelyn and Seanval were also awesome!
