A nice news stand in Evanston, IL with a decent selection of magazines books, newspapers, comics, and snacks. Obviously youll pay more than a subscription, but worth it if you just want a quick read or a specialty periodical.

Had exactly what I needed

Before Internet dominance, this newsstand was more rundown, probably because newsstands were common and there wasnt a need to celebrate or preserve them. Thanks to the City of Evanston, this newsstand continues to exist (reduced rent), and its a very nice, clean space. I dont remember if the original newsstand was in this exact spot, but I used to come here with my dad to get magazines and newspapers from around the world. They still have an amazing collection of quality magazines. Its also open late, which is rare for non-food businesses.

The place is AMAZING. Weve been frequenting this shop for nearly 15 years. The staff is friendly and helpful. Theyll turn you on to interesting magazines that you wouldve otherwise overlooked. Highly recommended for avid readers. The selection is pretty incredible.

This super dope, chill corner spot always carries the rarer and more difficult (masters, tournament) logic puzzle books. Thats basically the only periodical I ever get, so what a refreshing thing that it can be found here!

I absolutely love this place! I live in the neighborhood and stop in often before getting on the El Train. It has exactly what you need for snacks and drinks. Plus all the great reading material you find at a news stand. It makes me proud when a out of towner sees it and wants to go in. We take places like this for granted. Until they are gone. Spend money here so it stays here. You never know when you need a last minute paper and drink running for tye train.

This place is Awesome! They have all kinds of magazine! They also have a small section of comics.

Local, national, and international newspapers. National and international magazines of almost any subject/category. Some books on local history. Road maps. Chewing gum and candy bars. If you cant find what youre looking for they might be able to order it for you. I always find interesting reading material here.
