We love our Walker Bay RID. It rows, motors and sails well. The tubes are great for boating with kids as it makes it almost impossible to flip over. Getting in and out is a lot easier and it keeps the boat less heeled over when sailing. Living in the Pacific NorthWest we have dragged this little dinghy over rocks and barnacles and logs and its proven a super durable hull.
We have the Walker Bay Generation 450, it is by far the best RIB I have ever driven in its class. I looked at a couple others when evaluating the 450. It feels like driving a sports car, quick to respond, cuts through chop and it looks like a tender right off the French Riviera. The Generation has very good use of space, the lockers keep gear secure and hidden and it takes 8 people, which is handy for taking the kids and all their friends tubing. I already have 2 foot-itis and want to upgrade to the 525 so I can take my wife skiing. I got mine from Dueck Marine in Vancouver, great guys to deal with!
DROVE AN HOUR TO GET THERE. THEY ARE NO LONGER IN BUSINESS
