We had an excellent experience with using Carpet King recently to turn our finished basement into a workout room with a hangout area/movie room. My husband & I went in to the store one day to get some preliminary ideas, and Bob helped us figure out exactly what we were looking for. We ordered the gym flooring & carpeting that very same day, and Bob made the process really easy, in addition to offering us a really good discount. Of course, being a woman, I decided to change the carpet color a day or two later, and Bob was able to switch it out without an issue. Our order came in within three weeks, and once our painters had finished, the installation was scheduled for a few days later and then completed within a five-hour time period. The installers were very professional, respectful and friendly, and did a fantastic job laying the gym flooring and carpeting. We are thrilled with the result, and would recommend King Carpet and Flooring to anyone we know!

Carpet King and Flooring did a fantastic job of installing carpet on our stairs. It was a very tricky install -- the staircase was high and it widened as you went from top to bottom. Gilberto, the head installer, and his two assistants cut and bound the carpet on the premises and did a magnificent job of keeping a perfect 5 reveal all the way done. We could not have been more pleased with the quality and precision of their work.

We were misguided by their sales associate and overcharged. Wish we had gone elsewhere.

This is my favorite review to date! And here’s why: I went to the dog park with my pup and while there came upon a stray but definitely not feral cat. I couldn’t let her stay out there how she was so I took her home. Being that I have a very hyper dog I knew I had to make her high places to sit and feel comfortable. I started looking for options and found that many people make them using carpet remnants. I decided to look for a place and found Carpet King. I called first and spoke with Bob. He took the time to listen to my story and told me he too has a bleeding heart for animals and has adopted some himself. He asked how he could help and when I asked for remnants he joyously and graciously said he’d gladly put together a nice amount for me! Upon arrival, Bob had the same energy. He was very kind and again took time with me. I’m so grateful for the help. Although I’m not in the market for flooring currently, when I am ready I know where I’ll be shopping! These guys clearly have years experience in the business, Steve is always willing to help. They’re fair, honest, and model business people. We need more small businesses like Carpet King in the world. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for quality flooring, fair prices, and superior customer service. Carpet King installed a vinyl plank floor in my master bedroom, closet and hall. They did a great job using a Shaw product. The quality of work was superb, they showed up on time, moved and protected my furniture and cleaned when done. I highly recommend them for your flooring projects. I know why they are called Carpet King because the treat us, the consumer, like ROYALTY! Kudos to Steve, Steve Jr, Gilberto and Victor!

Ive used Carpet King a couple of times, both with good results. They installed a maple floor in my kitchen 1 year ago. Had a little issue with transition pieces but Joe was fantastic at reimbursement and clearing up the problem. The product and installation are quality. I recently need a few pieces of oak for some repairs and they provided it gratis. It is great to work with a small business and have a good relationship.

I went in for new carpeting and Mike was immediately attentive. I had no idea what i really wanted and he made some suggestions and i ended up going with one. Within a week they came out measured and were ready to install. Havent had any problems with the carpet. they even called to make sure everything was perfect.

I wanted to give my business to a mom & pop store instead of a big box or department store when I needed carpeting for my steps and landing in my house so I went to Carpet King. I was satisfied with the work (it was basic carpeting & padding) and price. So when it came time to buy an area rug I went back to Carpet King. After waiting around the Norwalk store for 30 min to be helped, I looked around myself and and found an area rug I liked. I finally had a salesperson help me and asked about the rug. Its 8x10, black with a contemporary design at opposite corners. I really loved it. I bought it. Setting up delivery was a nightmare since they dont deliver on the weekend (what?!). Finally, I had an appt for between 9-12PM. They showed up at my door at 7:30 and I wasnt even up yet. Before they could come in I saw a tear in the padding. I refused delivery. Setting up delivery again was again a nightmare. Because they dont deliver on the weekends, and I work, and they only deliver during the day, it took weeks. Finally I got delivery, padding was fine. I loved the way it looked in my home. However, the carpet being black, shows every single speck of dust and anything else that might be on your feet or in the air. I called Carpet King after owning the carpet for 2 months and explained the problem. Their answer oh yeah, black shows everything. I said then why didnt the salesman point that out to me? No answer. Can I exchange it? No, only within 3 days!!! I said Its only me in the house. The carpet is still brand new. I dont want a refund, and Ill buy something else. No, theyd have to speak to the manager and call me back. I have never received a call back. If I bought this rug from a big box or department store I would have been able to return it with ease. This is why mom & pop stores are going out of business; bad customer service, non-disclosure of facts, poor sales help and terrible return policies. Needless to say I wont be returning to Carpet King...ever again.

Decent collection. Warehouse is in norwalk though.
