The first time I was informed my Ranger was repaired and presented to me after undergoing Gerber’s quality inspection, the entire right side of the truck bed was poorly painted and not supposed to be painted at all. At the beginning of my interactions with Jessi Hawley, Gerber Collisions representative, I experienced some difficulties in regards to my aftermarket exhaust. Due to the accident, my right exhaust pipe was damaged and pushed forward and off of the mount. During the install inspection, Jessi questioned me about who installed my exhaust system. I informed him that I installed the exhaust myself. Which in response, Jessi stated the reason my exhaust was pushed forward and crooked was due to improper installation and a missing support mount. I had to then physically roll under my truck and show Jessi the mount that he thought was missing and where the exhaust pipe was pushed back. Jessi and I then discussed only painting the scuff that was directly behind the rear bumper. Jessi attempted to insist on painting the entire right side of the truck bed, Jessi and I discussed this further and then informed me that Liberty’s representative was in agreeance with me and was only going to authorize repairs and paint to the damaged area. At this point, I was under the understanding that only the damaged area would be repaired and painted. Jessi and I discussed this and he indicated that doing the repair this was would leave a soft blend line behind the bumper, “only we would know was there” (Jessi Hawley). This was the outcome and expectation I had when I agreed to have Gerber provide the repair service. When I received my truck back, about 4 weeks later, I was frustrated to say the least to see that they had painted the entire right side of my truck bed. As a result, the paint had fish eyes in it (small dots visible in the paint due to dust particles in the air at the time of painting). Small scratches crossed the bed, I am assuming from washing the truck with a dirty sponges. There was a line of orange primer showing between the bed and cab of the truck. The FX4 decal was ripped. Major damage to the top right corner of the bed occurred. The metal was cracked off between the top part of the truck ben and where the side rail protector is located. I was informed by Gerber that they had to replace this side rail protector because they broke the clips on the factory part during removal. My logical explanation for this is a worker broke both at the same time when a screwdriver or a tool like that was used to pry the two parts apart. Jessi’s comment on this damage as being a “factory stamping issue”. (Jessi Hawley) Jessi remains adamant about this position despite the clearly visible crack marks in the metal, the bare metal showing, and no formation of rust that would have occurred during the year of owning a vehicle. None of this damage, with the exception of the bumper making contact with the bottom right corner of the bed, existed before Gerber took possession of and worked on my truck. In reference to the bumper, the installation and alignment was off. Now, when I lower my tailgate, it hits my license plate. Which, as a result has caused a chip in my pain on my tailgate. The left middle sensor was installed incorrectly. The lock cap for the spare tier is now faded with a thumbprint shaped marking. In addition the exhaust tips were sticking out past the bumper about 2.5 to 3 inches instead of being flush with the bumper. This was relatively an easy fix. Jessi did offer to readjust my exhaust tips, however I was upset that I informed Jessi that I would reposition them myself. Due to space limitation Please see yelp for the rest of the poo review. I have a lot more to say.

Ive become pretty weary of collision shops in general and because of that, I was honestly taken aback at how kind and communicative the people at Gerber are. Everything was taken care of with ease and the whole process was completely painless. I highly recommend this location for any of your collision needs.

My Subaru was victim to a hit and run, the back bumper was damaged and I brought it here because it was recommended by Allstate and it was close to my house. Mike and everyone on the team here was great. They updated me on my car throughout the process, had it done earlier than expected, washed, and cleaned the inside of my car. Honestly wouldn’t take my car anywhere else for any collision/glass damage.

100% recommend this collision shop for all your auto repair needs. Eric really helped me out with a few paint touch ups, saved me quite a bit of money where I’m sure other business wouldn’t have. All the staff here were inviting, kind, and didn’t beat around the bush. If you need repairs done right the first time, come to Gerber Collision. I never thought I would be raving about a collision repair shop. Satisfied — perhaps — but not minding a repair because a shop was so great sort of shocks me. Melissa was so friendly on the phone, that I was curious to meet her. She was just as sweet in person, as was the other woman working at the front. I learned that the building Gerber is in, was an airport used for Civil Defense during WW II. Who knew I lived around the corner from such a cool historical building! Mike, the manager, gave me such a thorough overview of what to expect with my vehicle repair. What a great crew. I highly recommend this facility.

Needed windshield replaced on my truck. Noticed they had location close to where I work in Farmington Hills. Called them. They notified me that they do NOT cover any deductible cost. Ended up being very short phone call. Told them I would call someone else since MOST OTHER places at least cover some of the deductible cost.

Repairs appear to done correctly. Car clean at pick up. Nothing missing from car. No extra miles on car. Manager nice on pick up...... he must have got a call from corporate after my state farm agent was treated very rude on the phone.. that was after in was rude and condescending to me in person and one the phone... I never mentioned this to state farm. Car brought in tues per appt. Very nice person took me to the car rental place. Car supposed to ready on fri. Car ready early fri per text, called to tell them I would be there around 4pm. When I got there the rude person told me the bumper did not look right and the car would not be ready until next thurs. Text received that car was ready and went to pick it. When I got there i was told, not quite ready... it would be about 20 more minutes. I just walked out. Phone message left for me a short time later that car ready. Went back 4 hrs later and picked up the car.... what a joke. I have been there twice. My first and last! Shame on me, I should have taken my car to the Buick dealer, not the repair shop that state farm recommend
