Ryan and the mechanics were thorough diagnosing my issue and did a great job explaining options. They went the extra mile when a vendor sent a wrong part to get the right one and get me back on the road. My car runs better than it has in a long time. I have used this Monro service center before and would not hesitate recommending it to friends or family.

I recently moved to the area and my wife and I were nervous about finding a a quality shop. Truthfully, the Hardest thing to find is an honest car shop. Shops will do great work whether you need it or not if you know what I mean. Well Monro is an honest shop and their customer service is next level. A week ago a ran into some issues with my car, it started out with a squeaking sound so I figured it was my breaks. I went to OReillys and they recommended me to Monro Auto Service that was a couple blocks down the street from them, the moment I walked in I felt like I was gonna get my car taken care of on the spot! The entire staff was welcoming and had great hospitality, I had my little one with me and they were nice enough to offer us a snack and something to drink! In the end they quoted me a fair price that no one else could beat and I was out of there in 2HRS! My car feels like new and Im thankful it feels a lot safer to drive now with my little one than it did before. Thanks to the manager and his staff, you guys will see me again for an Oil Change! :D

Ive only had alignments done here, but have been happy. Ive brought them two different cars after doing the suspension work myself, and they had no problems aligning the car properly. They are prompt with your appointment. Your car gets in and worked on as soon as you show up, instead of waiting around like other shops.

Ryan was honest about the cost of services and made sure to explain exactly what I’d be paying for (and why) from the moment I walked in. The work I came in for was completed with great care and efficiency; he even went the extra mile to correct an error another shop made a couple weeks prior that I had no knowledge of. Surely enough however, I noticed an immediate difference when driving my baby again for the first time. Definitely my best experience with car service to date!

I was very happy with these guys. I brought my car to them after three other shops could not figure out that my car was having battery issues. I have been here for the last five years. Usually it’s a good service but it seems like employees are switching regularly. The store manager right now - Ryan - is probably the best one. The four star rating is only because of the experiences I had over the years. Usually I can get my car in on short notice, they call me with updates or when I can pick it up and I don’t feel like they want to sell things I don’t need.

Would Not Recommend.Took my car here to get the tires balanced as I had a slight vibration at 75mph. They did a good job balancing the tires as I now have ZERO vibration.However, They told me my 2013 Grand Cherokee with 100k miles needed $2100 in repair and asked if I was ready to make the repairs today (Front struts and sway bar end links). I was told the end links were worn and the struts were leaking. Also I was told I needed to return the next day to have the lug nuts re-torqued.The next day I decided to check the issues they noted and check air pressures and lug nut torque myself. The work order states the lug nut were torqued to 95 ft lbs. It took OVER 150 ft lbs (my torque wrench only goes to 150ft lbs) to remove the lug nuts. If I did not have a breaker bar I would not have been able to remove some of the lug nuts. I then re-torqued them to the correct 95 ft lbs. Also all four tires ranged from 29-36 psi not the 32 psi they should have had.Now back to the Leaking struts. I looked at the struts and no signs of any leakage what so ever. Also sway bar end links were in good shape with no play. They wanted me to pay $2131.91 for repairs my vehicle did not need.Also they did not take it on a road test which they would have noticed the vehicle had no noticeable suspension issues.So if you want to take your car to a shop that will try talk you into repairs your car does not need then Monro in Farmington Hills is your shop. If you want honest repairs and service go elsewhere.Pictures of the Leaking struts are attached for Monros benefit. If there were leaking you would see oily residue at the top of the strut under the spring perch.

Great service. Took our vehicle in for noise. Never used them before and they are 4 minutes away. They did road test and put car on lift, checked the car thoroughly, no issues. Might be body parts but no suspension issues. Great peace of mind. Very polite service people, including John. Would go back for necessary car care in a minute.

I had no problem with taking my dodge avenger there for a wheel alignment but when I took my Montaineer there that was an issue. I think I offended the guy by stating I only needed a bracket or sleeve to hold my muffler up. Bill the manager has no people skills. I believe I was way overcharged for the work that was done! Bill the manager has a nasty attitude for that position. $469 for welding a bracket & a muffler I didnt need was way too much! I wont be going back or recommending this place for repairs. When I came in Saturday to see if they could fix my truck it was 4pm and the guy behind the counter was friendly and informational. Took my car back Monday & Bill was there. Terrible attitude towards customers. He needs diversity training.

Monro Auto is probably one of the best auto repair businesses Ive ever worked with. Ive been to the Ann Arbor location and now the one in Farmington Hills and both times the employees have gone above and beyond to help me with any car troubles I may have. In Farmington Hills, each employee in the shop is knowledgeable, kind, and honest. They did their best to order the parts for my repair quickly and offered to help finance me when it turned out to be an extensive repair. Even though I just decided to get a new car (the one I had was too old to justify the expense) Monro employees went the extra mile to make sure that my new car was detailed correctly and let me store my old car in their parking lot for the weekend until I could take care of it the following business days. I highly recommend their excellent service!

Car was having rough vibrations as I was heading to an appointment. Stopped in to ask if they had time to check things out real quick and saw all their bays were full. Do you have snow build up in your wheel wells? I would check that before I have to charge to put you on a lift. I was referred to a car wash to blast everything off. Riding smooth now. First time I took my vehicle here it was for an oil change. They did a basic inspection and told me I needed $3800 worth the repairs. I took my vehicle to a different repair shop for a second opinion. The other place estimated $1200 and told me that many of the things listed by Monro as “necessary repairs,” we’re indeed not necessary. Not pleased.The second time I went, I was was extremely satisfied with my visit! I desperately needed a new battery. They had what I needed in stock and were able to get it fixed right then. I was driving off the lot in less than 40 min.

This review is about a year late! —My fault! This was probably the best experience I’ve ever had with auto repair anywhere! I initially went to the Dearborn store, who after starting my brake work, realized I needed additional parts that they didn’t have, and weren’t able to get immediately unfortunately. AND, it was a Sunday, AND, I needed to get to work the next morning. Nonetheless, they did what they could, got me drivable albeit just to get to work, then they called this Farmington Hills location, which was closest to my work, made sure they had the parts, and called and told them to expect me.When I called to schedule an appointment with Farmington Hills, the manager came on the phone, already knew who I was, and told me to come in first thing—she didn’t want me waiting. I explained I had to get to work, and she said she’d arrange it so someone from her shop would drop me add at work after I dropped off my vehicle—and pick me back up if necessary! I was so amazed and happy. I got my vehicle in, got dropped off at work, and by lunchtime my vehicle was ready!Best shop and service ever! Manager Julie: thank you and your team for a superb job! I will definitely visit this location again, and I highly recommend Monro. The treatment I got at this particular shop made me feel so respected. Would definitely trust them again and again.

I took my car in for noises, they were not grinding noises. I knew I had to have the front brakes done. Found after a test drive that noises in the rear were prominent as well.so I had that done as well instead of waiting. I appreciate the amount of time spent diagnosing my cars noises. I really thought it would be something far worse than brakes. 2010 Ford Focus. Jordan made my visit very painless. Great food steps away next door at Leezas too. A bonus! I will be back for regular check ups and work.

I needed to get the brakes on my SUV checked. The service manager was able to look at my vehicle on a Saturday morning (5 stars just for that!!) and he explained what problems my SUV had. This place is awesome, they gave me a great deal on my car and they are very nice and honest people. Before taking my car to Monroe brakes and tires I took it to fiat Chrysler where they told me I need a 130.00 break flush and after taking it to Monroe I found out that I actually didn’t need a break flush at all. So I highly recommended this place if you looking for a mechanic that’s honest and does good work!

Fantastic and thorough service. The lady here went over the whole (free) inspection of my car with me. She told me what I needed, what can wait, and what i will need at the next mileage service interval and why. Her assistant was so helpful and pulled my car out front for me and even held the door open when i left. I will be bringing my vehicle back here from now on.

I usually get my oil changed at those quick drive-thru locations, which has been fine, but I decided to try out these guys just because they’re close to my work, I could schedule an appointment online, and they had a coupon. I was super impressed by the heads-up the technician, Ryan, gave me about my vehicle needing a very specific type of oil and how it’s more expensive than the typical oil change. The price ended up being better than I expected, especially considering that the service for a full synthetic oil change includes a tire rotation. This is already more than what I’m used to, and for the same price. Service was quick, there’s free wifi in t he lobby and there was no pressure to add additional services.I’ll definitely be scheduling my oil changes here in the future.

I will never go to another shop that isnt a Monro again. All the personnel at this shop had excellent customer service and made sure i not only understood everything i needed on my car but also answered all my questions and showed me what was wrong with my rack and pinion. Walked in needing new wind shield wipers due to all this rain and mine being broken I needed something done quick and fast .I was greeted right away with a very friendly gentleman by the name of Bill ; I believe.Within minutes my new wind shield wipers were on my car and I was on my way . AMAZING! I came in at 12pm. My trucks brakes were smoking and i knew i needed to replaces the pads and rotors but also am on a tight budget as i have just moved down here and money is tight. Bill was so helpful and polite when we talked. It turned out i needed new calipers, pads, and rotors on my truck (close to 200k in miles). He let me know what needed to be done, how much it was going to cost and why it would cost that much. I respect all mechanics and mechanic shops because a lot of times people accuse them of ripping people off. This has been my best mechanic experience in years. I will definitely be coming back. I came in at 12pm, Bill drove me back to my work place and let me know when he would call me with more information. We discussed what needed to be done and his shop exceeded my expectations. I got out of work at 5pm and my truck was already out of the shop when i called him at 3:30pm to let him know to go ahead and perform the work. Outstanding service, people, and pricing. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!! ALSO: He didnt talk down to me because i was a woman which is a breath of fresh air in this day and age. Go here, you wont regret it.

My name is Sandra and Ive been coming here for years. There is not enough good things I can say about this company. Everybody from the management to the staff treats you like family. Today I came in to get my oil changed when I asked the manager if he had a bottle of water in the back he told me to get a cup and I filled it up from the water fountain. Then he went to the store to purchase pop and such then he came in and handed me a bottle of water he had purchased for me. That alone should show everyone what a wonderful place this is to take your car. While I was waiting we had a nice conversation and I loved my experience there. I will be a lifetime customer simply because of the way they treat their customers and the wonderful service they provide. I highly recommend this place to anybody and everybody. When you run a business it isnt just the service you provide but its how the customers are treated. And believe me when I say I felt more welcome than I had any other oil change lube place.

You know this place really surprised me. Being a retired ASE Technician for 40+ years, when i brought my car to the shop to get an inspection done and Julie was very knowledgeable about what was wrong with my 2015 BMW and why. She showed me what her mechanic found and explained to me in detail how it needs to be fixed. Also being a veteran she gave me a great discount on the work that they did. It really surprised me that theres still a shop around with a wholesome customer service atmosphere. Anything me or my son cant fix on any of our cars, we will be bringing here from now on.

The place is called Monro tire and brake now, the guy was very knowledgeable and discussed all the options with me. He offered to inspect before making any decisions and would call me afterwords, once he called I was able to take the appropriate course of action to fixing my vans brake system, the cost was average and expected with labor but the quality work I get here is worth it.

The auto team at Farmington Hills Monro is great! Honest about what needs to be repaired and the lobby is always clean!! My car runs like dream!!! I plan to keep the car awhile and if I need any other repair work Farmington Hills Monro is where I will go!

I currently have a project down in the Farmington Hills area, so I decided to parlay that with getting a new key fob for my daughters car. While going to the battery and bulb store to get the replacement key fob (this one on Orchard Lake is one of the few that can do that for the 2008 Grand Prix other than a dealer or locksmith btw), the car started shifting sluggishly, and then would barely move. I live in the Port Huron area, so I took a quick peek under the hood and saw one of the Transmission Cooling Lines was leaking badly. Im getting too old to lay in a parking lot on a cold day to fix anything, so I called around to some of the repair facilities in the area. This was the one place I called where I got a friendly We will definitely look at it and see if we can get you back on the road today. I poured a couple of quarts of transmission fluid in it, and limped it to their shop. After all of the long winded back story, all I can tell you is this is a very professional shop. I wish I would have gotten all of their names to thank them properly. They stayed late to get me back on the road as the parts werent as readily available as I had hoped, and the old lines werent being very cooperative coming off. I had them replace both lines because I figured if one failed, the second wasnt far from failing. The price was more than fair (of course I looked up the part costs online while I waited), and watching them tend to the many customers that came and went as I waited. They treated everyone with the same courtesy and professionalism. I just wish they were local to where I live so I had a reliable shop I could have my daughters take their cars (3 of them) as they need service.

I had a wonderful time with Julie (the shop manager). I had gone to another shop and gotten work done to fix a squeak when I was breaking and was quoted $1300. I left and went to see Julie. Not only was the problem only $450 to fix the squeak, Julie fully explained to me that the problem was the shock squeaking not the brakes. I really appreciated her concern and taking the time to make sure I was fully aware of what I was investing my money into my car. This is a wonderful shop and I am so thankful I found a shop for life that genuinely takes care of their customer.

Very friendly and did a good job explaining what was up. Just took so much longer than I anticipated. I know its only ever an estimate on how long, things could always come up, but still. Gave me a discount for leaving a review here as well. Shrug. So theres that.Got me in right away for an oil change. Was told it would be no more than an hour. Find out they were out of oil 😕 and had to get some delivered from across the street. I also asked for a quote for the work they said I needed done. All told it took over two hours before I could go. Which was real problematic for my 4 year old, who was not prepared to wait for twice as long as we expected.
