I don’t even own a record player (Yet. Waiting to buy a home so I can take advantage of a sweet sound system to match.) and I love this place so much. Cool collection and storefront, and also a big fan of the one off things you’re able to find in there like limited releases and signed items.I’m nervous of how much money I’m going to spend in here when I do purchase my first record player. Also, wonderful staff. They are all insanely personable and knowledgeable.
Very cool shop. I found the selection to be diverse and well organized with new and used vinyl. Guy behind the counter was polite and informative. Walked away with an album that I had only recently begun hunting for, which always feels good. Theyve got a sister shop in Bentonville that I also hit up, but in my opinion this is the better of the two.
Awesome finding this location. An incredible selection of vinyl across many genres of music. Thoroughly enjoyed talking with staff and picking up some great finds. Hope to visit again. Thanks for keeping the music alive!
The owner is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and down to Earth. Great selection, good prices!
- The selection at Block Street is always amazing, theyve got a ton of records, old and new.- The people running the stores are always happy to help, and they act very inviting.- The overall atmosphere is great, between fun decorations and wonderful music playing.

Block Street Records is a must visit if youre in Fayetteville or Bentonville. They have an incredible collection of vinyl and are staffed by people who really know their music. The atmosphere and environment cant be beat either!
My go-to record shop to fuel my vinyl addiction! Great selection and great staff!

Wonderful local store with a great selection! They have a ton of records to chose from, including a bargain section. They also sell gift cards if you arent sure what to get someone

Always a good place for music!!
Nice selection and excellent service. I will definitely return the next time I’m in the state. Recommended.
Visiting Block Street is a must whenever Im in Fayetteville. An eclectic selection of records, from the new releases of each week to carefully curated older classics in good condition. Having a store like this in our area is a great blessing.
They remember me after just a few visits. It seems so small, but its so danged important. I feel like Im part of a community when I go here. What great people. Great selection to boot.
The Fayetteville location is one of my favorite places :)
Its organized more to encourage patrons to spend time there than to help them find a specific artist. Having said that, the selection seemed reasonably diverse. To be fair, I didnt ask for help. But there are some artists, like alt-J, that are hard to narrow down to a genre. Folktronica? It would be convenient if there were an electronic catalogue so you could look up an artist or album to see if its in stock and where it might be located.
Nice selection of old and new.
The last remaining record store in Fayetteville!Great selections! Awesome staff! Keep on doing what you do best!
Great local record store. I always stop in to check out what sort of pin back buttons they have. Fantastic vinyl selection. Homey. The owner always makes me feel welcome.
Great record store. A must-visit for music lovers!
Best service ever
Best place in NWA for all your vinyl needs!
Record shot of oldies. We were looking for some Homer & Jethro. Didnt have but nice place
More emphasis should be put on space for dancing, particularly for dancing. A Weekly or bi-weekly street dance would be a perfect remedy for this shortcoming however. Itd be a nice destination spot if there was a corner for specialty coffees and fruity inspired energy drinks. Also, musicians should be allowed to perform. Store management wouldnt have to pay performers by instead allowing the artist to collect a free will donation. They could open their saxophone case or whatever instrument they play and people could drop in a five dollar or even a one dollar tip/contribution/appreciation fee. The musician could call it a fee but the management could just tell the customers they dont have to pay if they dont want to. Its a win-win you see. Both the management gets a musician to perform and the band performer gets paid to do his art. I hope everybody goes to Block Street Records, it IS a good deal!
I love this place.
Always worth a stop and look. Their inventory turns fast and the good stuff doesnt hang around long.
Customer service is not great. The guy just seems to be stand-offish to me.
Love this place. Super friendly staff and great selection. Rock, jazz, metal, country contemporary releases, plus lots of CDs and cassettes for those who dont have a record player. Never had a bad experience here, highly recommend!
I like this place, it reminds me of an uncles house. The owner is very nice and considerate. They listen and help to the best of their knowledge
I walked in off the street skeptical at first. Im very judgemental when it comes to going to a record store. Yeah, Im that guy and I wish I wasnt but I am. At first I just saw bins of new records and figured they didnt carry much used. After digging in further the used was mixed in with the new albums. They have a very large selection of Alt, rock, classic and even a decent sized jazz and punk section. The heavy metal selection was small but Fayetteville seems to be more of a jam band town so I wasnt too surprised or disappointed.I ended up buying a Sabbath record and for its age it was in incredible shape. The cashier was friendly and was happy to have a small chat before I left. If Im ever in the area I will make sure to stop in again.
A first class record store that compares with stores in Kansas City and St. Louis for selection and price. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Happy shopping!
I love coming here! everyone is always very helpful and friendly and it smells nice inside! definitely one of my favorite places to shop!
Great atmosphere. Really helpful staff.
Cool record store
Great selection of both new and used vinyl with fantastic organization and knowledgeable, helpful staff.
This place has become my mid week/ Saturday morning pilgrimage. They always have new records every time I go in, and the staff are all very friendly and engage with customers in a way that encourages me to come back. Half of my record collection can directly be attributed to this place.
Great little record store. If you seek hard to find Albums, you found the place. Cassettes, CDs are also well stocked. Friendly music-orientated staff. Good prices. Worth the visit.
One of the few great places to find quality vinyl. It was well organized and I loved the vibe. Staff was super laid back but helpful. I will definitely be back.
Great selection and very cool atmosphere. A time machine that really rocks.
Great people, super friendly!
Everyone is always so nice and welcoming in the store. The music they play is always good and the prices are very reasonable. Cant recommend this place enough.
Block Street Records, in both Bentonville, and Fayetteville, Arkansas. Is on par or above record stores in major metropolitan areas. The selection, and helpful, friendly service, will bring you back again, and again, to see what treasures you will find there.
Awesomeness
Everytime I visit this store, the staff is friendly, the music is great and the selection is varied. The owner understands record players and helped me figure out problems with my equipment. Any special orders Ive had have come in quickly and the records are in great quality.
Excellent service and very friendly.
Great selection. Great prices. Great staff. Found my new favorite store!
Great selection and awesome prices! Owner was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
I enjoyed walking in and seeing the huge selection they had. The prices are good and they have good customer service.
New, used, and bargain records! Friendly employees, they sell posters and turntables, a really neat little local store!
Awesome place, super inviting atmosphere! Wish they had more underground metal, but thats a minor gripe. Love coming here!
Great service!
Ahhh this place is so great. Friendly owner and staff, well-stocked and they always have some cool jams playing. These peeps know their stuff!
Good selection of old rock and pop. Lots of cool old comps. Fun old promo stuff too.
Its cool. Worth checking out.
Great selection and prices. Always a fun atmosphere, everyone is helpful and friendly. Fayetteville is lucky to have Block Street Records!
Great owner who knows his product. I could spend so much money in here. Love the store.
Wonderful staff, amazing collection, always having great sales, impressive social media presence as a local business. My go-to for new releases, and the occasional million dollar find - PLUS they celebrate record store day, the most important of days
Great store with helpfully staff, but not hip hop selection was lackin
Best place I know of for vinyl albums, cassettes and CDs. They just dont make em like this anymore. One of my favorite local shops.
Great selection, and theyll order whatever they dont have for you. Really friendly staff.
Great shop. Regularly has refreshed stock
Very cool place! Love the vibe and selection of vinyls.
Excellent selection and really great finds for classic rock lovers (The Who, The Doors, Yes, etc.).
I love going here, the people are always so nice :)
Cool shop, but the metal section was pretty pitiful. One tiny row, and most of it was 80s glam and hair metal.
Always a great record selective and great service. Though the prices do sometimes seem a little high.
I was very impressed with the selections a smaller place in Fayetteville had. Found some solid garage rock and some Scott Walker records. The staff (Sara) is super fun and nice. This is clearly the best place to buy records in NWA (sorry Vintage Stock). They also sell turn tables, tapes, and 45s.
Best independent record store within 200 miles
Best record spot in town by far!
Block street records WILL hold the limited buttons for you. Best record shop ever
This place has the best selection of records! The people are knowledgeable and helpful at finding what you are looking for.
Great place. Friendly service
Great selection of records from oldies to new pressed vinyl. Good prices too!
They treat local bands right, handle ticketing well, have good sales, great local flavor.
Lovely owner, great selection of used records, decent selection of new and a big stack of $2 vinyl.
Amazing record selection and friendliest staff. If youre looking for some vintage vinyl this is the place to go.
Great variety of music, I could honestly spend hours here.
Great wax selection, with super friendly and helpful staff!
Exceptionally friendly staff and great selection of music makes the shopping experience at Block Street Records a great time, every time.
Great deals, knowledgeable staff!
Great place to browse and discover music! Fayetteville is lucky to have it!
