I went looking for a decent guitar for my 10yr old at a local pawnshop and was recommended that I go to Edwards. Im grateful for the recommendation. The guy/owner? Was amazingly helpful, nice and he didnt try to rip me off. He even gave her complimentary guitar picks and he didnt not pick about her handling the guitars, I was more nervous about it than he was. He couldve sold me a higher prices tuner but he didnt, he sold me one in the middle price range that he said they used in store. I appreciate the respect and Ill definitely be going back and also recommending them whenever possible! Im quiet but I notice everything and they were awesome from the start and made me very comfortable. Thank you for being a great business man, I see why youve came so far and why your business is still thriving. Sincerely,Trenttney Thompson and her Little future musician Kaili π
Always very helpful when I need a repair. They make suggestions to save me money which is so appreciated! All of my children got their first instruments here. Their rental program is excellent.
Great service! Acknowledge by all employees and everyone was willing to help. They took care of my daughter and many other children find the perfect instrument. It was quality customer service experience.
For a while now I have been looking to get back into guitar, I had a couple of them years ago and sold them due to not being able to dedicate the time - well now I have some additional time and the method of being able to get online lessons has expanded vastly. So off I go to find what I am am looking for - yea right like I had and idea! I looked at about 50 guitars online with YouTube reviews and opinions and narrowed it down to a few. Having to keep cost down in these trying times was important, so I decided to go look in person and hold them in my hands, could not go to my local music store because they carry 9-5 hours during the week only - who shops for musical instruments during that time frame?? So went up to Fayetteville and stopped at the big box music store, WOW nothing there really to see - store was bare (obviously Christmas had cleaned them out), had a sales guy speak to me, but then apparently he got bored and went off to work the register... oh well. I then Googled music stores on my phone and Edwards Music Company was our next stop... got to Edwards and was immediately greeted by Daryl C. and we got right into what I was looking to do. He showed me several instruments, answered my questions and demonstrated some guitars also! I ended up pulling the trigger and Daryl set me up with ALL of the items I needed to get started.THIS PLACE HAS OUTSTANDING FRIENDLY SERVICE!!!!I would not hesitate to send business to this store, THIS is what service is and what small business is all about. Thanks you so much and I look forward to future purchases at your store.-Troy G.
Thus is my other go to for musical equipment. Great staff, great selection AND lessons. Give them try!
Brandon is the representative that assisted my family, he was very informative and helpful. Great for your Team! π
Outstanding customer service. They blow the big box store in town away! These guys take their time to make sure your selection is right for you.
This establishment has served the band and orchestra masses and still rings true to the purpose of music. Im just as impressed now renting an instrument for my my child as I was renting my own 20 years ago.
Generally I have had good experiences here, but one time in particular caused me to stop shopping here. I was building my home studio a long time ago and was looking for a mixer that had dedicated outputs for each channel so I could run each channel into their own input on my Pro Tools interface. I couldnt find any information online regarding this and the mixer i was looking at (Allen and Heath ZED 24). I went to Edwards and spoke with their recording engineer person. I asked specifically can this mixer do this and if so, i do want to get it. If it doesnt have this capability, i dont want it and am open to suggestions. Oh yea man. It can do that no problem. So, i trusted him and ordered the mixer. It arrives. I take it home. I hook it up. That capability does not exist with this mixer. I unhooked it, packed it up, and took it back to Edwards. I spoke with their engineer and pretty much told him he lied to me and I dont want this mixer cause it doesnt do what I need it to do. Well, since you special ordered it and we do carry that brand, just not in stock, we cant take it back or give you store credit. I spent around $700-$800 on that mixer and over $2,000 that day when buying equipment. I know his commissions check was nice after that purchase. But, the fact that employees can bold face lie to customers with no repercussions and the only person getting screwed over is the customer is not a place I will shop. They should have accepted the return cause they either lied to me or dont know what they are talking about. Either way, their day does on and I was out $800. Dont shop here and if you do, do your own research. They will tell you what you want to hear if it means youll be making a purchase.
Went in to check out their guitars... staff was nice, let me walk behind the counter to handle the guitars. Got some guidance and insight on their stock. They did not pressure me and did not up-sell me in to anything, actually first model shown was the lowest price based on what I was telling them, my needs. I ended up buying the guitar that just seemed right for me and at a fair price... meaning, the price tag was in line with my post-purchase google search later that night, as I had no clue what I bought, except for the brand. Turns out, I got a decent guitar for the price-point. Only thing, but its my own peeve, is there was not much of a logical order on their guitar wall... no biggie, but I like things in logical order/groups, by brand, or price, or whatever. A few drumsets on the floor, keyboards, and other misc. instruments, amps, stands, and gear throughout the shop. Overall, Id say the prices are fair from what Ive seen, at least with the guitars. Wish theyd stay open a bit later... maybe close at 7pm instead of 6pm, now that the daylight is longer, giving those that work time to get out of work, travel across town in traffic, and have more time to browse around.
This family owned business is a gem. Dont waste your time with big franchise music/instrument stores. Good honest deals, great prices you wont find anywhere else. This store has everything you need for new to used and the repair facility is second to none. I wasted a lot of time and effort trying to get a trumpet for my son with other places and online. I was in and out with my son after trying the trumpet out in less than 30 min. They have my return business forever. Thanks EMC!
Best place in Fayetteville to rent or purchase musical equipment. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable.
Best place to rent instruments. Very helpful, knowledge and friendly staff. Christina really went the extra mile to make sure we understood everything about our instrument and how to use it. they took great care to make sure we had everything we need and didnt try to sell us anything extra. Their prices cant be beat also!they really go the extra mile to make sure the parents and the children understand all aspects of the instrument and how to maintain it.these people genuinely care about their customers and it shows with their customer service.
Nicest guys in the world, great prices. Honestly can not recommend this place enough. I know this sounds like a fake comment/ad but they really are great people.
I am in search for my next guitar. My visit to Edwards Music Company was educational and inspiring. I spoke with Steve and he provided much detail for guitars in general. They have switched brands, Martin was one of their top lines, but they dont carry them any longer. They do have some nice guitars and honestly you should approach buying a guitar without a brand in mind for it will create bias. The fit, sound, quality, price, and looks (face it, no one wants an ugly guitar!) Should be your guide (not necessarily in that order). If you are in the market, give them visit. By the way...purchasing now, during the pandemic, is difficult because the inventory is low. Good luck and have fun with your purchase. Keep a song in your heart!
The staff are helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to work with you one-on-one. Most people you see in here are passionate about their music, and always happy to share or just chat.
Love this place. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They only place I go for my sons drumming needs
I was pleasantly surprised how inexpensive a tune up was for my sons saxophone. This is our go to place for musical instruments and accessories.
Most excellent music store..great service and products...
Visited looking for beginner basses for my daughter and I. Words cannot describe how amazing these guys are! Customer service was above and beyond- they took the time to LISTEN to what WE were looking for. My daughter an I ended up getting exactly what we were looking for and more- a mint green 4 string Sterling for me and a black 5 string Sterling for her! We have literally spent the past 3 hours learning and are, without a doubt, wicked stoked we made the choice to go to Edwards Music Company.
Ive passed by this place a hundred times, and never have it a second thought. Looking for a guitar recently and went inside and I was amazed. There were people playing instruments, and the place was much bigger inside than I thought it would be. The staff was really friendly and made sure I got what I needed for my intended purposes. Ill probably be using them for all my musical needs Im the future.
Great service!!! Great products! Great price they also have layaway
Derrick was very helpful for this beginner guitarist. He helped me choose the perfect acoustic and made sure it was turned and strung up perfectly. We talked about different brands for my specific needs and he helped me with an assortment of picks to choose from. It was a very clean, friendly, knowledgeable experience. We will definitely be coming back for our instrumental needs.
Great service. By far the best place in town to rent an instrument if your child is in orchestra
Awesome service and prices are good.
Extremely helpful. Kind and fast service. The staff is knowledgeable of the area schools and are ready to point in the right direction.
This is the best music store
The employees were very friendly and very helpful. They help me find exactly what I needed at a great price! I have a great fondness for the store because this is the same store that my parents used to take me to when I was taking piano lessons. The service has not changed at all. They were very friendly and helpful then and they still are. The only thing I noticed that is changed is that they have a great variety of musical instruments to choose from and accessories to go with them too. The employees are very knowledgeable about the products that they sell and take the time to talk to you and explain to you what it is you need and why. Its a wonderfully run business. Its very hard to find a business nowadays that still holds to the same standards that businesses used to. 5 million thumbs up Edwards music!
Buddy was very attentive, friendly and helpful. Put me right on what I needed as soon as I walked through the doors.
Very helpful and was able to find what I was looking for.
Quick and efficient service. Always have what I need for my daughters violin. They also take care of all the maintenance for it as well. Reasonable prices and always service with a smile!
Hands down the best music store Ive ever been to, all the staff actually care about you, and know what youre talking about unlike most chain music places. Always feel welcomed and treated like its my first time going there.
I went in to inquire about a violin and find pricing options. I can truly say these guys are the best! They explained everything I needed to know as a beginner and even suggested searching somewhere else for a used/less expensive one. I found one at a pawn shop and brought it to them to look at. They not only inspected it but put new strings on, tuned it and talked me through the process. If I or anyone else I know are looking for music equipment this will be the first place I suggest. True professional and you can see their dedication! If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
Great variety for a smaller, privately owed store. Prices are great and even beat other larger retailers on certain items! The people are super helpful and I definitely recommend them! If they dont have something, just ask and they can probably get it for you!
Great place, good people
Only music store in Fayetteville, that I know of, which helps students play instruments through a finance option for parents. They have a wide selection. Always helpful when I have a concern or want to know how to take care of my childrens band needs. Thank you Edwards music! I remember McFaddens music years ago, and Im not sure if Edwards has the same owners but they definitely offer the same quality and customer service.
I just wanted to express my sincere pleasure in dealing with the folks at Edwards Music. From the owner right down to the everyday salesperson I have always been made to feel right at home and that I and my satisfaction was their prime mission. I am a long time customer of theirs, and over the years, I have been thoroughly pleased with their service and the products they sell. I would highly recommend Edwards Music over any other store in Fayetteville or the surrounding area. Theyre Great!!!
Great seevice.... Awsome people!!!
David and Daryl made my sons day. Thank you for all your help. You two are a great team and a genuine pleasure to work with. I will forever recommend you!
We came in on 09/29/18, a busy Saturday for school rentals. There was a male employee with dark brown hair and a moustache; tall and slender built standing behind the sign up table..He was extremely rude and short in his responses from the moment we walked in until we finally spoke to someone else.We wanted to know want the rental prices would look like on the contract. That was a reasonable request. He made us feel like we were asking to much to find out the answer to that question. In the end, we left and ended up renting from another store; due to how nice we were treated there.
They were really helpful, Johnny on the spot. Bought small stuff for now, but I will be buying more stuff there. Like amps, guitars. Prices are really good.
Friendly customer service just not much variety in music choices for piano and keyboards
I am so impressed with the service here. From the beginning they are so knowledgeable, do helpful. From the moment I pulled in the parking lot, the gentleman opened the door for me. A+ guys thank you for making my visit so special. I brought my grandsons violin in to be tuned...
Great customer service!
Great place and costumer service, they know what they are doing. Would recommend this places to anyone that needs a instrument.
Helpful and polite.. No wonder theyve been here for years
I had a great experience at Edwards. The folks there were very helpful and I left with a new trumpet in no time at all.
The sells person was so helpful and patient, since I had no true idea what I needed.
Best selection and quality of musical gear and brands. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. Full lesson programs from beginner to advanced students.
Incredible service, I called to asked if they had what I needed. It was setting on the counter when I got there.
Great people awsome customer service
Great place. I wanted to buy 2 books. I bought a the Accent On Achievement Book 1 here. I went in and out in barely 7 minutes. I came in, they asked if they could help me, I asked them for the two books, they found AOA immediately but they said they were out for the other. They then said to go to Arts & Crafts. Its not common for a store to recommend another store. I applaud this.
Do NOT get a rent to own instrument from these people. The instruments are not great, but they charge you more just for a used one. The customer service is not great, unless you like being put on hold to talk to a manager constantly, meanwhile telling you that what you see on your contract is wrong. They have their contracts set up in a way so that you are paying something other than what you think you are and when called on it, tell you to bad, this is what you have to pay still. Attached is a photo of the contract. Total monthly fee is $28 ok... then the number of payments is 24. I am being told that it is 29..... why would you use such a random number? At the time of contract I was told that it was for 2 years... which goes with the 24, but no... I am still having to finish a contract with a company and now I am going to have to deal with them again on yet another issue with the M&R. Just dont bother. You can straight up buy better instruments online for less.
I had a trumpet service done at Edwards. It need a joint soldered and I purchased a chemical cleaning. Both were very nicely done. I applaud the craftsmen at Edwards. I will always be your customer
Really great place, above and beyond customer service. I called ahead just to inquire about an item. When I walked in they had multiple options waiting for me at the counter!
I get music lessons there and my instructor is very good and knowledgeable. The price is reasonable and the staff is friendly. They also have many instruments and music items for sale.
The store was pretty cool. Wish they had more of a selection of amps though. Electric Guitar selection was small. Customer service was excellent!!!
Always a friendly helpful staff who can help you find just about anything youd need for your instruments
My husband goes here a lot. Ive never been inside
They offer practices and services for people who want to learn instruments. I finally have the best prices in town for tutorings and for learning an instrument. My daughter is learning the violin and its $90 a month once a week for 30 minutes so that should be explained everything. They have all sorts of musicians and the people there are very knowledgeable. Theres a guy there with long hair whos the guitar player he is very good very good. They have all sorts of instruments go check them out.
Knowledgeable and extremely helpful towards a beginning guitarist.
They have always helped with my daughters flute and have been super awesome.. which I need to bring in again to be repaired hopefully since the season has slowed maybe it will get back quicker.. during the season repairs are a week or more behind..
Edwards Music has a huge selection of everything musical with a very knowledgeable staff.
Great people, super knowledgeable. Had an issue with my sons cello bow and he has a performance tonight, they fixed me right up with a new one!
I have been a lifelong customer of this wonderful business. I hope they keep up the greatness helping pave the road for successful music education programs!
Steve helped me upsize my daughters violin π»! He was very helpful, kind, knowledgeable and friendly! Books, shoulder rests, finger tapes, resin and we are set! Excellent experience, definitely recommend and will be back!
Every time I go to Edwards Music I am at home. Its a great music store, and a great staff. I have never been unsatisfied with any product or info gained from this store. There service shop is on point! I consider my self and my home town lucky to have such a musical provider.Nicholas RossiProducer
Very nice and professional staff. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Quick service and reasonable prices!
Awesome place! Tuned my violin right up perfectly. Found exactly what I was looking for. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They didnt try to sell me anything I didnt need.
Replace my guitar strings for free with purchase. Knowledgeable friendly staff. Its a great place to be at if music flows through your veins.
I bought a fiddle from a friend of mine, and Edwards was my first and only stop to hey it looked at. They saw me immediately, the woman who helped me was knowledgeable and kind. I was treated with respect, they helped me with everything I needed, and I plan on going back soon!
Made a purchase of equipment. They provide excellent service. Ive been dealing with them for over 20 + years
Mr. Buddy is very helpful and nice person. He always try to help and if I cant find my item from store he does not mind ordering to have things for customer. Other staffs are also kind.
Very considerate in helping for church needs. Truly appreciate your kindness.Thanks. Rev. Goodman
Very welcoming and friendly staff. Knowledgeable too. Lots of instruments and accessories.
Great customer service
They always have the best quality . Not cheap but worth it.
Theyre definitely ready to help you as you walk in. I dropped my brothers Ibanez Gio to get new strings, and tuned. Cant wait for him to start jamming!
Always end up back at Edwards Music. I have checked out the other stores, but nothing feels like home until I step back inside. There have been a few dud employees over the last few years, but the team they currently have is GRADE A (and the fat turd guitar dude is gone!) They have a top notch HUGE repair facility that handles anything I throw their way and have never let me down. Guess that is why you find so many local schools working with them as well. They have always priced it right, willing to meet or beat anything I find. Plus, you keep the money at work in the local area and not lining the pockets of some overpaid executives!
Friendly service and good selection of instruments. Prices are great!
When I arrived at the store, there was only one other customer present. Swamped, right? I had to wait at the front counter for almost 25 minutes to get any help. The bigger guitar tech with the beard treated me as if I was a child and an inconvenience to him ( when he finally decided to help me). I asked to check out a pedal, plugged it in and immediately knew it was not what I was looking for. I took it back to said guitar tech, who proceeded to chastise and patronize me. I clearly didnt know what I was doing with the pedal if I didnt like the tone I was getting. Ive been playing guitar for 20 years.... I think I had it covered. He took me back to show me how to use it correctly. Horrible to say the least. I decided to check out some other gear, picked a piece that I liked, and was ready for check out. Guitar tech had some of his buddies in the store who clearly took precedence over me. I waited for about 10 minutes with cash in hand. After his friends left, he decided to make a cell phone call instead of help me. After a few minutes, he beckoned me to come across the store to where he was seated- im assuming so as not to interrupt his phone call. Once again, he expressed his disdain and inconvenience. No other workers would help me, and this condescending jerk was too busy to even ring me out. Condescending, patronizing and INCREDIBLY OVER PRICED. I ended up just walking out. I wont return and dissuade any one from going unless they fire that turd of a guitar tech.
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff
This place is awful. Ive been paying on my daughters trumpet for rent to own and was Going to pay it off before we pcs only to find out Ive been paying basically nothing on it. my money has just been a waste there. Way over priced and extremely high interest rates, your better off ordering online. When I tried to get them to explain to me how I owe that much I was just told to call finance. Complete headache.
Older guy is nice, Christina is nice, staff behind counter (young fat kid with beard) is a tool and acts like he is doing you a favor to wait on you......Stock is fair, one or two nice guitars......all the rest is China crap....I feel like Im back in the 70s when I go into this store.....Caveat Emptor.....
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Not many musical instrument stores around anymore, thankfully Edwards is. Been going there since the early 90s.
Said hello, asked how they could help, showed me what I asked for. Really nice people. Never go anywhere else
House of sin and fire and ice cafe have all the sound and DJ equipment from here great customer service and very easy to work with
Great guitar lessons here and a good selection of music for piano.
I like this local music store. The people in there are very helpful!
Easy to access musical equipment
Great service did a set up on my strat and a pickup swap!
I walked in the store trying to get an instrument repaired. There were three people behind various counters. No one greeted me, or said they would be with me shortly. I felt invinsible so I stood there for a few minutes. They were busy doing other things. I understand that, but at least address a customer when they walk in and let them know some sort of idea of how long it will be before you can help them, otherwise theyll walk out and write a bad review on google and swear by Odin to never come into your lousy store ever again. Thanks for helping make my music store selection easy for me.
My other channel is Tone Fingerz but edwards is the bomb. Buddy and steve are on point 4 real. Cant say enough
Renting a viola for my daughter from them and about to rent a violin for my son. Friendly staff. Repair service was hassle free and quick.
Awesome staff and great variety of materials!
Just real friendly helpful people. They arent just trying to make a sale...theyre helping to make musicians.
All I can say is this is the WORST music store to be in. The owners are a bunch of pretentious, terribly rude people with a sense of pride that is borderline imbecilic. The store is disorganized, overpriced, and nothing is where it should be (not just merchandise). I should not be patronized going in or feel badly, since Ive been playing violin 10+ years now. But thanks for letting me know Ill never need yall again!
