I drive Lyft and keep 99 Things to Do in Flagstaff, Flagstaff maps and information about the beer brewery hike in my car. I get all Flagstaff information from the Visitors Center. My passengers are very pleased. Thank you Visitors Center.
Flagstaff is a great place to call it a night.Highway construction was horrible. We saw eastbound to gallop backed up 25 miles. Lucky to get a room.Comfy room, cheap(considering) went back to st. Louis another route. Also leaving Gallup you enter Navajo reservation. Great shops.
Visitor center representative left a negative impression of the city even though we met wonderful people later at the Snowbowl Gondola rides. Mask “requirement” was way over emphasized…more like a “control” issue not seen elsewhere in the area. Center itself was nice but was happy to go elsewhere.
Loved this little Visitor Center. Has a great selection of tourist souvenirs and gifts. The Visitor Center is located inside the old train station. Cargo Trains pass through right by it all day long and Amtrak at nights. As a parent who often thinks about safety and if I would go somewhere with my kids, I was surprised how close the tracks were with no safety barrier that would stop a child from running into the tracks. I would imagine parents would be careful but kids are fast and all it takes is a second for a kid to get away. The craig train came in so fast and it isn’t very far from the building. It was very cool to watch and fun to photograph. Just surprised there was no barrier or railing of some sort. They had so many brochures and magazines about all the different sights you can go see within a days drive in many different languages. The staff was super friendly.
The visitor center is adjacent to the Amtrak train depot. This is the actual train depot to jump on or off. Lots of souvenirs, a lot of information and maps. I really enjoyed all the employees that I encountered, although sitting behind plexiglass made it difficult to hear. I wish they would’ve been more engaging and told me information about the walk to talk tour. I did it on my own but I didn’t know that there was an audio that went with it. That to me would’ve been important enough to share! I think the depot was established in 1890’s, I’m not sure of the exact year.I WOULD recommend.
Was closed at 430am. Looked cute. It is right next door to the amtrak station/ depot whatever.Evidently, lots of folks still travel by rail. Hmm.
Nice place. Very informative ladies. Lots of little souvenirs.
Had lots if good information. The kids liked to watch all the trains.
While traveling to California, I landed in flagstaff 28 hours ahead of my departing train from the attached Amtrak station. The visitor center and Amtrak ate a connected building, that share the restrooms and sitting area but the hours of operation coincide.. Amtrak closes at 8am and the visitor center opens at 8 am, then close at 5pm, and Amtrak opens at 5pm. This actually was very good for me, as it gave me access to public restrooms all day which were beautifully kept up, snelled great and were spotless. The employees at the visitor center were friendly, helpful and offered whatever assistance they thought I would need the shoe time I was there.they gave me water, let me keep my luggage inside when a rainstorm broke out unexpectedly. They struck up conversation with me at any chance they could, and helped a very long, problematic, and lonely layover very tolerable and even enjoyable. They definitely made the wait go by quickly and less painfully than if they hadnt been so helpful and attentative.. Thanks to all the employees there who helped me and my little service dog feel as comfortable and relaxed as they could...
This place was nice. Its cool to see the trains go by so fast and be able to be so close to them.
Quaint little shop and train station. Plenty of little souvenirs to take home. Make sure to get your Rt 66 passport stamped there.
We arrived two minutes after closing but the staff was still happy to stamp our Route 66 Passport, and give us their free bag.
Got to watch the train go by.. best part of my gradsons visit

Excellent gift shop. Good information and also public restrooms 🚻. Worth a visit.
Friendly, helpful staff. Lots of brochures and interesting displays in the small museum. Souvenirs and gifts. We stopped to get our Route 66 passport stamped and got a complimentary gift. We chose a fridge magnet and postcard.
It was mandating masks, so their hands were tied. A mask to use an outside toilet alone.
Great old depot building thats still used as a depot & visitor center. Lots to look at and read about Flagstaff.
Very friendly and helpful. 😁
In depot. Lots of helpful information. Staffed. Right in downtown.
Enjoyed the atmosphere. Plenty of pamphlets. Clean restrooms
Good information available but would like to see more displays/
Nice people with a lot of ideas on what to do in town
I called to get information to plan a visit to the area. The staff member was very friendly and knowledgeable. She provided details and suggestions for the kind of vacation we are looking for! Such a great resource! I am grateful!
Friendly staff with great suggestions for a short visit in Flagstaff.
The lady working there very helpful. Nice, clean place to stop.
Surprisingly cool town to visit. Just walking around the downtown area is a trip.
Fun place to walk around in.

Nice place, very interesting things to see
Small little shop with trinquets for sale .
Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable about Flagstaff and what it has to offer.
Lots of information, helpful staff, great train station
Just visiting Flagstaff for the first time, and thanks to the rudeness of the two females at the visitor center it is not starting off well.
Very nice depot close to downtown.
Charming visitor center. Loads of free brochures for attractions in town including some free walking tours. Its also attached to the train depot, and there are no shortage of trains that come through! All the ones I saw were freight but there is an amtrak passenger stop here. Right on route 66 too!!!
Very polite and helpful staff. Lots of souvenirs to choose from.
Love the train action
The girl behind the counter was rude. Other than that, we got what we needed
Cool train stuff
My first time in Flagstaff visitor center dont have much to say about it but maybe youll like it.
Stop here first! This shop is adorable and has tons of information! My wife and I ended up going on a Haunted Tour of the city and it was amazing!! All I did was ask about it and the worker provided me a map to follow through the town. Lots of shops and dining in the mean time as well. It was so fun! Do the Haunted Tour!
The visitor center is delightful!! It was cute and quaint. There were quite a lot of souvenirs in the shop, but they weren’t app “touristy” and gaudy! It was a nice place and both of the gals at the desk were nice and friendly.
Was a fun time and good place too meet my friend !
Very friendly staff. Have to check out the upstairs.
Clean and comfortable
Very friendly and helpful.
Nice quiet town
Great place to learn about Flagstaff and the surrounding area. Great selection of souvenirs from Flagstaff, route 66, trains, etc. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Perfect for a restroom stop also.
This visitor center has a host if information. Check out the brochures stand. Theres a brochure for almost every noteworthy location around. Theres a model train and tracks lining the four walls of the visitor center. Using a quarter can make the train go a round trip. Its fun to watch that. They also have some nice souvenirs available. Parking right beside the building.
Nice station
Friendly and informative!
If you are new to Arizona and dont have a hang for desert weather, flagstaff is your saviour. Just 3 hours away from Phoenix, it is the perfect getaway from the heat. You can do a one day trip or plan something worthwhile for the weekend. In the summers the temperature is around low 80s with possibly some rains which is an absolute bonus. In the winters it can get cold, so get some sweaters on and try out skiing.
