Responsive & knowledgeable. They know about Electric Vehicles -- which many dealerships and other repair shops actually do not. And they keep track of what my vehicle in particular needs.The service advisors are efficient and friendly.The EV mechanic is excellent. He is a problem-solver, a critical thinker.
Overall a pretty poor experience. Typical car dealership antics. They tried to strong arm us into buying a program they elected to put into the car for $1000 called Safeguard, which is eerily similar to Onstar, which comes with a free trial and is much cheaper and more comprehensive. Then they of course try to get you to focus on monthly payment so they can try to squeeze that into the contract even after you tell them you dont want it. My recommendation is to ask them about any hidden fees or programs upfront, and be prepared to walk away. Cars are in high demand since supply is low, and they know that. Which is why I believe they try to strong arm you into that last minute. And of course, that doesnt come up until your heart is set on a car. Finance manager was great though, easy to work with and quick and efficient. I feel I over paid a little on my warranty, which is something we are looking at revising, but overall he wasnt trying to strong arm us into anything we didnt need or want. Salesman was a nice guy overall, seemed to have little knowledge on the cars and features. I had to inspect the sheets as he was trying to upgrade us to a car that had the same features minus one that was not important to us. He didnt have comprehensive knowledge on the car unlike the first sales person we talked to earlier that week.
I had taken my service van to John l Sullivan twice before with no remedy for my warranty issues. When I contacted them each time to let them know that the issues were not taken care of no one bothered to call back. I called the assistant Service manager at Folsom Chevrolet and he arranged to have Tiffany address my issues. So far so good. Great service all around. Friendly and efficient! I will return here for any future needs!

I used to go to a local mechanic since it was always cheaper than the dealership. However, the price tag is worth it thanks to the excellent customer service, experienced staff and convenient reporting to car facts. Keep it up, Folsom Chevrolet!

This was an expensive visit however my 07 Duramax has been a great vehicle and I expect these things from time to time. Steve (service writer) and Brian (technician). Took the time to explain everything needed in good and clear to understand language. Im confident I can strike out on our journey back east pulling a trailer. Very customer service oriented and knowledgeable.

The gentleman who helped us when we brought our truck in asked me if there were things wrong with the truck and I told him that I couldn’t get my cruise control to work and I couldn’t get my phone to program with the radio like you guys are done when I first bought the truck. Brought my vehicle in today for a scheduled appointment only for them to call me 40 minutes later to let me know that they do not have the fluid needed for my vehicle. I dont understand why this wasnt checked before I took 2 hours out of my day to drop off and accomplish nothing. This cost me time and money because we have a delivery service and depend of our vehicles Please be more efficient when scheduling appointments.
The service adviser was very knowledgeable and helpful. The service team did a great job diagnosing and fixing the problem and it was covered on warranty.
Steve Melis was wonderful to work with. He was efficient, knowledgeable, kind, accommodating, and was even able to turn around the work on my vehicle the same day when he thought there was no way that would be possible given some of the issues with the current supply chain.

This is virtually the only dealership I use because they have a BoltEV expert. They are family owned and operated and you can tell the difference. I bought my Lemon BoltEV from another dealer that was all dealer and just a transaction.At Folsom Chevy I know that the team will look out for me because they proved it when that first BoltEV became a Lemon. They fought with me over 2019 over it and I am very grateful for their help. I look forward to continued business with them when I am ready again.

I purchased a 2013 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport 4LT for approximately 50k and warranty for another 6k from this dealer and after 3 weeks (driven 4 times) the electrical system goes out and the front lights does turn off. Now I have the car battery disconnected because that is the only way front lights turn off.I contact the dealer to get this fixed at another dealer and was told I had to drive it all the way to Folsom which is 2 hours away from my residence. Otherwise, I was told to pay the the deductible ($200) using the warranty to get it fixed. Finance manager told me it wasnt their fault I lived 2 hours away. Can you believe that??They sold me the car and do not have the courtesy assist their customer to fix the defect of the car they sold me closer than their Folsom shop (2 hours away).I would have known this was their type of service I would not have purchased from this dealer nor would I have bought a Chevrolet.Lesson learned. Do not buy from this dealer if you expect good customer service. You wont get it!!
I took my suburban to Elk Grove and it was a nightmare. No One wants to work, very dishonest and knew nothing about their product. So I made a trip to Folsom and I was so pleased. Everyone is so professional and helpful and very very knowledgeable on their product. Kudos to the store manager for keeping this place on point :)
Great experience today. I walked in there part in hand it was a fuel pressure sensor from my special 2500 2002 avalanche 8.1 l engine that you could not see it in any of the stores online I went to OReilly with the part they tried looking it up they had nothing close and suggested I go ahead to the dealer. I went into service we ended up going to parts and the gentleman there was very knowledgeable and without my VIN number found the part on his computer said oh no.! Which kind of worried me that he said let me go look and he went out and he walked back in with the exact same part that I had my hand that we still cant find online anywhere but it fit right in my truck and now I can pass my smog so I can register. I dealt with the service department. Tiffany was excellent. However, the service department, not so much. Our 2020 Corvette needed the free oil change and due to the expiration by one day, Tifany explained they couldn’t do it. She then said she would be right back. I can only assume that she went to ask someone if they could do it as we have bought items and had service done on precious vehicles. On more than one occasion, we were asked if we bought the vehicle there. Again, something tells me if we had bought it at Folsom Chevrolet, it would have been free.I will never justify buying a car over MSRP. Especially, $30,000.00 over MSRP. Thus, I’ll take my business elsewhere and only do warranty work here.

Where do I start? Pulled a fast one on the finance company even though we had a pre-approval from credit union. I dont know what we were overcharged for. We had just totalled our car so as we were working that out, a lot of issues surfaced. Purchased next car from Enterprise and he was very clear about all items we were paying for.

Jonathan with the service dept. was great. always kept me updated and never sold me any promises that he couldnt keep. My only complaint was that the mechanics left grease on my headliner, added a new ding to my passenger side door, and due to the length of time my vehicle was there (29 days), it came back with severe water spots. Otherwise the service and work performed (so far) was 5 stars.
When I pick up my car for service from every other dealership, it is always washed and cleaned to let me know Im valued as a customer and my vehicle is valued by the Service department. In this case, my car would have benefitted from a simple car wash, but instead, when I picked it up it was still dirty. I also had to reset my own Oil Life Remaining meter in my car after my oil change, which is disappointing considering it is part of the checklist that Folsom Chevrolet checked off as if it was done. I also did not receive a call regarding the state of my air filter, which shows as Caution on the final report--no discussion of status, no option given to replace it as part of my oil change and battery replacement service. I did not receive any warranty information for my new battery--I do expect that if it dies in the next six months, I would not be paying full price for the replacement. Generally speaking I felt very unvalued as a customer after this job, and its this type of treatment that makes me want to try another dealership, or perhaps another service provider altogether, that is much closer and more convenient for travel from my home.
Jay McKeever is a top notch salesperson. He makes you feel like he’s not just making a sale but really cares about your experience. As an HR person myself, you want to make sure you take care of this guy so he doesn’t go elsewhere.

I went in with an overheated transmission that was under an extended warranty. I received my vehicle back and it overheated on the way home. The dealership never test drive the vehicle. They didn’t listen to the noise that i told them about. They didn’t drive it to feel the lag in gears nor did they drive it with a scan tool Hooked up to capture the slippage that was happening. They even stated that the fluid were burnt yet they decided not to change the fluid. Now my vehicle is at a transmission shop who works with the warranty company. Folsom lake Chevy is incompetent when it comes to transmission work. I’ll be letting others know about this as well and I’ll be purchasing my new suburban at a different dealership.
We have always had very good service at Folsom Chevrolet, including driving down for service from Placerville for years, or now driving from Sacramento Watt Ave for service.Suggestion: Service Writers: If a recommended service is indicated by the mechanic, such as a dirty air filter, rather than tell me as I am ready to pay the bill and leave, let me know during the waiting period as I would like to get any necessary maintenance completed during the visit that day if possible.Thank You

Nov 28, 2020 my 22 year old son drove 420 miles to buy his first car from Folsom Chevrolet.Purchased a 2013 Dodge Charger SRT and made it safely.Dec 2, 2020 5:00 am car wont start. smoke and burning smell coming through ac vents and under hoodDec 8, 2020 Dodge Charger has had the starter, alternator and serpentine belt replaced.I have reached out to GM Brian he is looking into our request for reimbursement.Dec 12, 2020 Tires replacedI look forward to hearing from them soon.

Our car buying experience was one of the best weve had. We were greeted by Jacob and then worked with Rick in Finance who were both knowledgeable and professional. We didnt feel pressured which was important to us. From start to finish the process was smooth. We feel with the Equinox we got a Quality vehicle at a great price.The only negative we have is that the gentleman who connected our phone to the car was rude. He told my husband he wasnt the name on the account and would only respond to my answers even though we were both on speaker. Every document for the car has both our names, I feel my husband had every right to answer for me. The gentleman would only take answers to his questions if I spoke. Because of his rudeness, we didnt want anything he was offering. We said NO to all.

1 year and 2 visits later I have the truck I wanted. And Im am very pleased with my purchase. It almost didnt happen though. Check engine light came on after about 20miles of driving my brand new truck. I took in back and was about to return it. But they stepped up thier game and gave me a similar truck as a loaner while they replaced a emissions piece. It took a while and I was in the loaner for about 4 days. In the end it worked out and the dealer as a whole hustled to get me back in my new truck. I would buy from here againI am removing my previous rating because I feel they now really do deserve the 5 stars. Thanks Folsom Chevy

April 2021: Changing my review from 5 stars to 1. Had to take our vehicle in for a hood adjustment, issue was not fixed when we went to pick up the first time, the customer service guy was very condescending when speaking to us, the truck had to go out for the work to be done, but it appeared nothing was done when we took off work to pick it up. Finally work was done but now found that it was the front fenders that were adjusted, paint was stripped from the bolts so now we need to get some touch up paint before they start to rust! All on a brand new truck with less than 200 miles!!January 2021: Jay McKeever & Christina Lund are Super Stars! They both were attentive to our needs, wants & likings. Jay made every effort to accommodate us by showing us all the vehicles on the lot that suited us. Christina was very responsive & kind in answering all of our questions & providing us with accurate information.

My experience was fine, but in leaving and paying for it, i didnt read the paper until i got home and it said that i refused to have what they said was wrong with my car fixed. Service Review:I had a great experience here. Brought my 2015 Cruze in for a burning oil smell from the engine. Got assigned Steve for a service advisor who was on point. He was very nice, respectful, and always had good communication (which is rare!). The tech who worked on my car, Randy, appears to have treated the vehicle like his own, putting the upmost care into it. It wasn’t just an oil change, the man had to take apart and put back together half of the engine... and it came out looking and functioning great. If your within a reasonable drive to here, I would definitely say this is the best Chevy service dealer in a 50 mile range. Highly recommended!

I bought a brand new silverado 1500 here. It stalled (completely dead) in the first week, also the first few hundred miles of driving. The engine dies, it lost power steering and had only a little bit of brake. I was lucky the truck was stalled in a parking lot otherwise I cant imagine how it went on freeway speed. I notify the Folsom Chery immediately and a day later the first respond without investigation was we dont make the battery, its not our problem. Hilariously, the tech later came back to me, it was the alternator harness meltdown due to short circuitry. It will take more than a week to get parts and source of problem is unknown. There is electrical shortage issue somewhere in the entire system, I am terrifying how it goes in the long run.How GM treated me? a baby size loaner with tons of restrictions, obviously they dont feel sorry at all. Now I cannot work with a small loaner car and sitting duck worrying my investment and long jeopardy of my work.All in all, bad products from the brand, bad service and judgement from Folsom Chevrolet. I dont recommend neither the brand nor this place.

Customer service in the service department was terrible. I felt like I argued with the service writer about every issue or concern I had.I also received a loaner car that was DIRTY! Food in the back, absolutely not cleaned or wiped down. We are in the middle of a COVID pandemic! Of course when I brought it up, the service writer put the blame on me for not being there when he thought I was going to be there. I also NEVER got a call back when promised; I was the one calling at the end of the day for updates. Very very disappointed.
Came in early for an oil change. Since it wasn’t busy my car was taken in early. Finished in less than an hour and the service rep explained some upcoming repairs and a time table of when I should expect to need them done. But didn’t pressure me to get them done that day.
I was extremely disappointed. We asked for a certain period of time for payments. Not until the very end were we told (only after I asked) that instead of a 48 month I was given a 75 month. Not only that but we were sent an offer of $29000 and after it was done it ended up costing me over $47000. We were shown nothing on the vehicle. They let us test drive and then immediately started paper work. Above that the extended warranty cost almost 3 times more than I paid for a longer extended warranty from Toyota. I will not recommend anyone to any Chevy dealership.

Normally my experience has been very good with the service department. But on this visit (9/25/2020) my service report stated that my car battery had been checked & was okay. Later in the day my car battery died and I had to purchase a new battery. The service tech installing my car battery pointed out corrosion on the battery cable connection. My service tech tested the battery first and reading was time to replace battery. Disappointed this was not caught at Chevrolet service department. Was the battery even checked???
