We evacuated to Fort Lauderdale due to Hurricane Ida and this became our spot. Over our two week stay we went to Edd & You a total of 4 times. Not only is the food great and CHEAP, but the staff is incredible. We would bring our game and they would make sure our iced tea never ran dry and we could stay and play as long as we wanted. Sheila, the best waitress on the planet, is one of the loveliest humans ever. She remembered us from day one and made us feel at home immediately. Thanks Sheila!!
Service was great! Food was reasonably priced and sooo good!Coffee was fresh and strong. Biscuits and gravy was perfect-both homemade, rich and delicious. Country fried steak was crispy and topped with a creamy and yummy gravy. Eggs were buttery delicious. I ordered French fries with the steak..they were crispy steak fries!!! YES!!!!Overall, this place deserves a 10 out of 10 because of the price, quality, and service.Thank you all!
Service here is quick and friendly once they acknowledge that youre there...they had us seat ourselves and it took a while for someone to come to your table.Generous portions and tasty food. Pork roll was really good and country fried steak was great. Eggs were cooked to our liking and fresh shredded hash browns were tasty....especially with sausage gravy on top. Coffee was also good here.The only complaint is have is that the parking...meter parking and hard to find a spot especially for disabled person.
Well the 1st thing that gets you is the top notch service. Janet was on point. I am sure all the other waitresses are just as good. Great food. You will not leave hungry.
Perfect place to start your day, whether it begins at 7:00 a.m. or 1:00 p.m., like me.:) Great comfort food; good and familiar with generous portions. By eating here often, thats one less thing you have to think about during your day, especially if youre a tourist from Southern California like me. Ill spend most of my evenings in a steakhouse; martini in hand, but Im happy to eat every breakfast and lunch at the Egg and You Diner. Mostly booths and counter service as well. An added bonus is the mailbox next to the front door, where I can mail my postcards.Thanks for the great memories, beginning in 2004.
Great old school breakfast spot serving American classics. Quick and friendly service, generous portions, tasty food and extremely reasonable prices. Classic diner style paper checks, pay at the counter and the way out. They take cards. Will definitely be back.
A staple of Fort Lauderdale, great quality food at good prices. The place is a nice diner that represents the time it was first opened. They have a great breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner menu. The service was great and makes you feel at home. I ordered the burger patti with onions, very tasty and loved the combination of the patti and the onions alongside with the hasbrown, eggs and biscuit. Coffee was good too. Will come back and highly recommend to anyone looking for a old school diner.

The staff is polite and knows every stitch of the menu. I found the service to be on par with the pace of my dining experience, always a tough balance to strike. Our server did it with aplomb.The food, too, is as it should be in one of these hallowed culinary halls: delicious plentiful, and consistent. My personal favorite is the corned beef hash with a couple of sunny-side eggs on top. Typically, the blueberry pancakes are out-of-this-world. On this occasion, however, they happened to be a bit doughy in the middle, not that that stopped either i, nor my dining companion, from absolutely destroying them.Speaking of my dining companion, she was craving bacon and eggs; crunchy corners of toast to drag through the yolks. She satisfied that craving and more. As a first timer to Egg & You, she was thoroughly impressed.Overall, Egg & You Diner is one of those Fort Lauderdale establishments that makes the city what it is: warm, consistent, and delicious.
Really like coming here for an honest breakfast. This place is clean, affordable, and food is always good. Buttermilk pancakes are fluffy and will leave you happy. Always a pleasure eating at eggs-n-you.

This was our first visit to Egg & You Diner. WOW! When we arrived, Lisa looked after us.( I hope I spelled your name correctly??) She is awesome. It was as if we have known her for years. She looked after us, and was always making sure we were happy. The service was prompt. The food was out of this world. I had a Patty Melt and Ron had a Tuna salad plate. Both were delicious.The one thing I enjoyed about this Diner is the fact that you can order lunch, and dinner at any time of the day. Its great for people like me because I work night shift, and I dont necessarily want breakfast in the morning because technically its dinner time for me. We will definitely return again and again.

First visit. Although it appeared crazy crowded, we were seated within a few minutes. Service was fast, maybe 10 minutes at the most for eggs Benedict, large order of sausage gravy, and another order. Service is fast and the servers very attentive. Food was good, nice size portions and for the price, can’t complain. Definitely a great place for breakfast, we’ll do lunch soon...

JUST WHAT I DESIRED ! Old-school nostalgic & great food... Staff was amazing & kind... A team mentality... Place has been there 60 years & now I know why !Corned beef hash with crispy on the outside cream me on the inside eggs over medium were made by somebody that knows how to make eggs over medium I could have gone for grits instead of hash browns I dont know if there was an option I apologize. Coffee was very good, only thing I can say I would change, is they should offer coffee cups with their logo on it. I would have bought one... I love to always buy the actual coffee cup Im drinking out of 😁😁😁👍👍👍

The food was excellent. The portion size looked small but was filling. The setting is diner style and you seat yourself. The food arrived quickly; seemed within15 minutes. I gave it 4 stars because although our waitress was polite and attentive the atmosphere was very bland. No personality at all. We sat by the window so that gave us a view to break up the monotony. Overall, I would visit this place again. I had the wheat blueberry pancakes, eggs and turkey bacon with coffee. Hubby had rib-eye steak with eggs, grits and english muffin and juice. Our total was $27.82.
Haven’t been there in years that is exactly the same but cleaner. Went for breakfast I just had a ham and cheese on rye toast. Way too much butter and came with coleslaw didn’t want my girlfriend had the usual two eggs over easy hash browns and sausage patties and looked good breakfast is served from 7 to 10 AM

Nothing I ordered was worth eating. sausage and gravy, chili, eggs Benedict, corned beef hash... ordered fish sticks for my child but they came out after the food was basically half eaten so we returned them. waitress had disappeared (Im assuming to check on the fish but she never said anything) then brought them out and said sorry.
I have the 2 stars for the price of food and the service one for each .. that being said the food was so bland and tasteless not just my food but I tried my friends food also... not good didnt seem like the food was made with passion thrown on the plate and tasteless.. wont be back

Horrible. I came in for a late brunch. Iordered an omelet, my omelet came with hash browns and toast. My omelet was so small and bland, I even ordered an extra Item and they barley put anything in it. Potatos where very old and dried. Coffe was alright and orange juice tasted like it came out of a machine. I Used the restroom once to wash my hands before my meal arrived, It smelled like an old dirty public rest that has never been cleaned. I came here for the first time based on good reviews and I was very very disappointed.

This is the best hometown diner in the neighborhood. The food is good and its prepared very quickly. The staff is so awesome. Sometimes our waitress will know exactly what we want based on the time of day we arrive.

My husband and I went here early thanksgiving morning. It was a lovely start to the day, server was very friendly and we were thrilled they were open on the holidays! Perfectly followed guidelines for covid. Delicious eggs Benny, the hash browns needed some work, but my boo’s steak was divine!
