Got my open water certification after several months of having started my pool session so it was great getting a refresher to complete my dives. I highly recommend Aquatic Ventures, I recently did their refresher course and my partner did the open water certification course. Every person we encountered from the day we went in to inquire about the courses to the last day of diving was friendly and extremely knowledgeable. From the start everything was straight forward and well explained along each step of the way. I was impressed by their professionalism and knowledge but moreover they made the entire process fun and enjoyable. My partner had always been a bit apprehensive about diving and noticeably nervous at the start however with their guidance and tutelage she felt much more confident and comfortable. I was from Philly to FLL to get my open water course with aquatic ventures and here is my experience:They train people to be qualified divers. If you dont give up, they wont give up! I thought I know how to swim, but unfortunately, I was doing bicycle kick when I did my first dive and I returned to the shore without doing a second scheduled one because I exhausted. I almost gave up at that time because I was too afraid of the sea after my first dive. Aquatic ventures, instead of giving me up, they scheduled one extra swimming class to me. Then in next few days, I learnt how to do the flutter kick and successfully completed 4 dives to earn my license.They are professional, passionate people who are dedicated to build a diver community as their duty.Kary. Michael, Mo, Alex, Grant, Andreas(forgive me if I misspell any of your names), thanks for bring me into the world of diver! If possible, I hope I will complete my advanced OW with you guys!For new divers like me, Dania beach at FLL is a good place: I saw lion fish, sea urchin, spiny lobster, Flamingo tongue snail and A LOT!

Aquatic Ventures provided me with an amazingly positive life changing experience.The staff are all extremely knowledgeable and experienced.Having no experience in the ocean I was a bit nervous but Mo was a great teacher and provided a very welcoming experience. Shes incredibly knowledgeable about diving and marine biology and does amazing conservation work.Michael, who was Mos teacher, certified over 2000 students and provided me an experience which gave me peace of mind for diving safely.We dove at Dania Beach and saw a stingray, a large crab in a conch shell, a puffer fish, many non-stinging jellyfish, and a whole array of rainbow colored fish.Cant wait to go back for my advanced and rescue scuba certs!

Aquatic Ventures has been informative, quick to respond, and flexible since I initially reached out. Their staff is helpful, knowledgeable, and love their jobs. They were very flexible and helped me to complete the certification before I had to fly back home by having multiple dive site options for days when the primary ocean site conditions were not great, and they produce safe, confident divers. Class sizes were small (3-4 students for my days) and personable, and they work hard to make sure you have a good experience. Great value and prices on gear and courses as well! I can’t speak highly enough about this dive shop! And they went above and beyond to make sure I was able to complete my certification. I had difficulty equalizing my ears the first day, and they really took the time to troubleshoot with me and ensure my success in obtaining my certification. I was prepared to give up the first day but they believed in me so much that I stuck with it and was able to do it! Additionally, they are committed to serving the veteran community, which I feel privileged and happy to support.

Couldnt be more satisfied to have chosen Aquatic Ventures for my open water cert. Mo is an excellent instructor and has infinite patience. She will take as long as it takes to make sure you learn all the necessary skills to get your OW cert, and, most importantly, that will keep you safe while you enjoy the underwater world. On top of that, they have the best prices on diving courses (which I know firsthand after having checked several shops, not just in Broward but also in WPB and Dade). My family and I got scuba certified here, and it would be the place I recommend to anyone. I just got my Open Water Diver and Nitrox SCUBA certification through Aquatic Ventures. The staff was amazing and made sure everyone in the class was comfortable and felt confident. I would recommend Aquatic Ventures to anyone wanting to embark in the underwater world. I did my open water certification with them in January 2019 and Ive been diving with them since (including an amazing trip to the Bahamas to dive with hammerhead sharks). This year I took the plunge and bought my dive gear with them as well. Everyone in the shop is very knowledgeable and helpful and I feel most welcomed every time I stop by.

We are taking a vacation in a couple weeks and I am getting certified. We have been dealing with Victoria getting things sorted and she has been great! I am very nervous about certain aspects of the test and she is quite comforting. We have a family member that did some training there and he cant say enough good about the staff. I decided to finally get certified... been on the bucket list for years. It was fantastic from first call to the final dive for my open water cert! I had different instructors on the dives (Zack, Mo, and Victoria) and they were all equally qualified, engaged and helpful. Everyone is friendly and wants to help. I watched them work with someone that was struggling for an extra several hours to get them comfortable and make sure they could perform the skills. The whole experience was fun, safe and engaging. Id highly recommend. I also appreciated the owners engagement - btw he runs a great charity that gives vets with injuries an ability to get into diving at no cost.

I’m not sure if I ever left my review or not somewhere. But I got certified years ago for an SDI Open Water License.I got certified under Kary and the late Gary, rest his soul. This was one of the best experiences. Not only are they experienced, well accomplished divers. They know how to teach you how to dive well, smart, and safe.But beyond that they know how to make you feel comfortable with their personality. This goes for the whole staff and environment of the class. The best way to learn something as serious as Diving, having fun will make it easier for you to retain and stay in control under water.Honestly easiest 5 star review i’ve ever given and best money i’ve spent learning something new. In fact I’ve been meaning to make time to do a refresher course and maybe even go up to advanced.R.I.P Gary and Thanks for the lessons Kary and the crew!

My wife and I took our open water course in Ohio. We have a condo in Ft. Lauderdale Florida and visit frequently. When we finished our course in Ohio, we decided to do our certification dives in Ft. Lauderdale. I did a lot of research and decided to call aquatic ventures based on the reviews I read about how nice the owner (Kary McNeal) and his staff are. When I called him, it was somewhat short notice and most of the other dive shops blew me off because I wasn’t trained by their particular certification agency that they train their diver too. When I called Aquatic ventures, I happen to get the owner (Kary McNeal) on the phone. He was very nice and did not speak over my head or treat me like I was just another customer. I told him my dilemma about trying to squeeze Cert dives in in a short window of time while we are visiting. Kary was very accommodating to us and because he is an instructor in several different certification agencies, he was able to make it happen and squeeze us in to a class of his to finish our certification. We learned more in two days than we did in the entire 2 weeks we spent in our open water class in Ohio. Since then, my wife and I have went on to get our Advanced open water and soon nitrox Cert through Aquatic ventures. Anytime we go to Florida we always book a dive with them. All of their staff are very knowledgeable and experienced in diving and I wouldn’t choose anyone else. We have 5 kids we intend to have certified by aquatic ventures in the future when they come of age.

Tori was my instructor for my open water sertification. I was having problems being under water in the beginning but she helped me to figure out that I needed a different kind of regulator. Now I have no problem under water. If it hadnt been for Tori I would have given up on scuba. Ill definitely be recommending Tori from Aquatic Ventures to my family and friends.

The team at AV made my friend and I feel very comfortable with the experience of learning to dive. We had challenging conditions during our dives, but the crew at AV was unflappable and we completed the certifications without issue. Just obtained my open water certification! Tori was a very skilled instructor. Great communication through out the entire course. I would recommend this course to anyone looking to go out and start exploring the ocean. great equipment. tanks filled with top notch filtered air. cant wait to bring my wife back for her certification. look forward to using these skills obtained for the rest of my life.

Had a great time learning Open Water diving classes! The instructors and Dive Masters were very informative, keen to make the best out of the classes and they were very friendly. Price point is competitive as well compared to prices in Miami Dive Centers.

Love this shop. Kary, Victoria, Mo...Cant beat the customer service and they understand divers and want to be divers. Highly recommend for dive training and equipment!

I must say...since the moment I called aquatic Ventures to set up my scuba certification Kerry has been extremely accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. I’ve already started completing the at home portion of my certification and I cannot wait for the in person lessons and be able to scuba dive!I will update this review once I have completed the course but I have complete confidence that my review and rating will stay the same! After reading such a good reviews online I decided to call Aquatic Ventures to see if I can get my advanced certification. I was quickly given my E-Learning via email and was booked for my dives the following week. I am super happy with Kary and his team. Kary and his team are extremely knowledgeable. From the moment I first stepped foot into the shop I received a warm welcoming. Thanks to the skills they helped me develop, I now feel confident to begin my scuba journey. I actually had been referred by two friends who came here for their certification and loved Kary so much they tell everyone to go to him. Hence why I came! I then went to divers depot to get some of the essentials, and Emily the saleswoman became instantly excited once I mentioned I was getting certified with Aquatic Ventures. I think that says a lot!

I’ve been Diving with Kary from Aquatic Ventures for 3 years. His customer service is stellar and he’s very informative. He’s always around to answer questions and eager to teach. I can’t say enough about the welcoming experience I had with this company. I suffer from PTSD, and the owner & instructors, works with Vets and ppl that deal with these issues. I had to postpone my certification, and I’m hoping to get over my panic attacks ( past trauma) but to know I can come back, within a year is reassuring. Hands down one of the most fun experiences I have ever had. Diving with Kary, a retired marine and the owner of Aquatic Ventures was not only fun but gave me confidence in what to do to be a safe diver. He kept us focused and was still able to have fun. Also has a wealth of knowledge and education to back it up! I enjoyed it so much I ended up pulling the trigger on my first S.C.U.B.A. dive gear and I felt that even though its a big purchase that I was also getting a really good deal that would be hard to find anywhere else, trust me I ebayed and amazoned the equipment as well as visited other dive shops in the area! I will be returning soon for the advanced course so I can go deeper safely.

Tori and Kary are amazing dive instructors! Me and my friend got our open water certification with them. You can see the passion they have for diving through their knowledge and enthusiasm. They are super friendly and fun to be around, and also very patient in making sure you understand what is being taught. I will continue getting more certifications with them and hope to go on many dive trips with them!

This past week, I took my son and his best friend to get scuba certified. The entire experience was very organized, as well as accommodating with the adverse weather thanks to a Tropical storm warning.They had three different instructors and all were patient, thorough, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this shop for anything scuba related. My boys can’t wait to dive, thank you for being so accommodating!

I just made my scuba divers certificate for a decent price had a blast while making it they are very professional i ended up seeing a turtle and lots of cool fish i recommend getting youre scuba diving certificate here

We used Aquatic Ventures for our son to obtain his Junior Diver Certification four years ago. We had such an amazing experience we went back to Aquatic Ventures for him to get his Advanced Open Water, he is now looking to get his Nitrox we will again use Aquatic Ventures for our sons diving journey. They have been amazing, the instructors have so much patience and really want everyone to succeed and love diving.

My wife found this place for me as a birthday present because I wanted to get scuba certified. Mo (blond dreads 😉) was the 1st person that we spoke with when we walked in and the owner Kary was also there and chatted with us too. They explained how everything worked and was able to get me in on a Friday Saturday Sunday 2 weeks later. 3 days and you are certified! It was a great experience and met some really cool people! ALL of the instructors are very passionate about what they do and protecting the oceans, coral reef, and animals so we will be able to enjoy for many years to come. Vicky was a good teacher in the classroom and was really good helping us learn everything in then pool the 1st day! Zach certified me and talked with me about gear and I was very happy with the fact he was down to earth and wanted me to find something I like. I am in sales and I appreciated him not trying just sell me on the most expensive gear I might not even like after a few dives. I really appreciated that, thanks Zach! Kary even asked his lady to make some beef stew since I am a big fan, it was great! The shop is all around a great place to get certified, answers real questions, no BS, and they will even set up diving trips if you get a group of people who are Interested. Also, if you want to dive with the classes to brush up on things, they will allow you too as long as there is room! Just a great experience and I cant wait to get all my gear and go find Buried Treasure and spear some huge Hogfish!!! Thanks Aquatic Ventures for getting me Scuba certified and making the entire experience something I will never forget!

My husband and I got certified for scuba with AV on July 2020. Everything was well done. The process to sign up for classes was easy, price super reasonable, but the stars are the instructors. Kary, who has incredible experience, explained concepts clearly and in a fun way and Tori was patient but strict with our practical drills. We always felt supported and that safety was #1. This has been in our bucket list for a while and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. 100% recommend.
