I dropped my Subaru Outback off yesterday for its 36,000 miles service. The service advisor, Mr. Shoemaker, was friendly and explained everything that would be done. The waiting lounge was phenomenal, so comfortable, and with great snacks, and the best coffee ever! I was extremely satisfied with it all!
Mercedes helped us find the perfect Outback for us and our doggies. Would highly recommend her to anyone shopping for a new vehicle. She made the car buying experience a breeze and helped us find exactly what we wanted!
Very good customer service. We scheduled an appointment for 24 month maintenance and factory recall service and forgot to mention a small problem with driver’s door when we set the appointment. They were very accommodating and fit this in for us within the same visit. We really appreciate it and coming back for all future services.

We purchased a used vehicle from the Step One Subaru dealership today and it was the MOST pleasant car buying experience Ive EVER had. Everyone involved was professional, relaxed and personable. I had the exact numbers up front (which has NEVER happened) and no secret pow wows between the salesman and manager that always made me feel uncomfortable. The cherry on top was the title and registration work is done, so we wont have to go deal with the DMV later. Thanks again everyone!
The service department is top notch. Melissa the advisor took great care of me. I was here on evacuation for Ida. They set me up with an appointment within a half hour of my calling. Promptly took my car in for service (oil and filter) upon arrival. Fully stocked breakfast bar - early in the a.m. - and a bunch of smiling faces made my short wait enjoyable. Easy to find on Beal and signs to navigate within the parking lot. A+ Ya’ll!

Switched vehicles due to an issue on the first one. Had to re-buy and transfer my warranty and other stuff. Travis was fantastic through all the BS. Brent made my paperwork easy and quick to process and even kept in touch with me throughout the cancellation process so I wasn’t left in the dark. I would highly recommend.

The guys at Subaru Ft. Walton completely took care of me. My car display started getting bubbles behind the screen and I was not in a great financial place to be able to afford to replace it and my car was out of warranty. The manager of the service department made the whole thing affordable for me and I can’t thank them enough. They will have my business any day!
Jeff was a pleasure to work with. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and did a great job communicating with us while we waited for our new Forester to arrive. Everything went smoothly until Brent, the finance manger ruined the entire experience for us. He was smug and arrogant. His aggressive pressure tactics to try to sell optional extended service is completely unprofessional. He was extremely rude when we turned down the offers. He acted offended when we questioned errors we found in his figures. He never shook our hand or thanked us for buying a car. He basically pushed papers at us and said your done to get us out of his office. He was so consumed with his own righteousness over doing his job correctly, that he “mistakenly” overcharged my credit card $500 for the down payment and was annoyed when we asked it be refunded.This was the 3rd Subaru my family has purchased from here, we have always been happy with the service, but I will NOT deal with Brent ever again.
The Subaru dealership in Fort Walton is super organized and well-run. I only had to wait 30 minutes for my car to be serviced. They have a nice customer lounge and friendly employees. I highly recommend this service department.

The salesman was very good in going over all the features of the vehicles I test drove and wasnt about high pressure sales at all, which I like. They gave me close to what I wanted for my trade and honored the 3k above kbb value. I was hoping that they would honor the additional service reimbursement that they offered on top of that and a better finance rate as well, but had a pleasant experience overall.
I live in Charlotte, NC and bought a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek from them in February 2021. I was down in PCB visiting my boyfriend when I purchased this vehicle. I had been doing research on prices at least 3-4 months before. When I found Subaru Fort Walton and spoke with one of the salesperson, Cory J, I was sold. I ended up purchasing the vehicle completely virtually. I was so skeptical about doing so. I had driven the car before at another dealership and already knew the exact model I wanted. Once I made up my mind, the process was rather painless. The documents were sent to me and signed virtually. Afterwards, Cory J delivered my car to me within 2 days and still gave me the rundown as normal when you buy a car. The people at this dealership have given exceptional customer service, were not pushy, and have been reliable communication wise.Even now, 7 months later, when I have a question they get back to me in a timely manner and are always happy to help! Wish there were more dealerships like this in NC. Will definitely consider this place for my next car.I would definitely recommend Cory Johnson for a salesperson here.
Casey was great. He was attentive and listened to our needs. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone else visiting this location. Everything was smooth until the finance guy came. He was so off putting and aggressive that it almost ruined the deal. We knew what we did and didn’t want but, his pressure tactics and comments left us really annoyed.

Marcus Gulley was a fantastic salesman. I am very grateful for his patience with my detailed questions. The entire staff was friendly and Marcus and Charlie even helped me get my rental returned after hours by the time all was done. I came in with a problem and left the same day with a solution. The Subaru Crosstrek is wonderful so far and replaced the one I had due to being hit in a small collision. Highly recommend this dealer and their capable staff.
The customer service representative was very gracious. Things went as she predicted. I was in an out under an hour.Two other observations were, I asked what would be projected cost, did not receive an answer. Not sure she understood. Second question I asked about my rewards points. (What was my balance, if I had any points I plan on using them towards this purchase ) Service Rep didn’t know how to log in to the system. The representative who was collecting the payment, didn’t know either. The Parts Representative, quickly solved the problem. He seems to be the only one knew how things work. The lady who was handling the payment was courteous but no help with the rewards program. She stated she was from another dealership and was unfamiliar with this system.All in all a okay visit. But much room for improvement.
My service experience is always excellent at Subaru FWB - That is why I continually come back. Returning to a site is the best compliment of all.They could make replying to the survey easier by making the URL clickable instead of having to copy it into the browser.
Hailey (service) and Brandon (parts) were awesome. The went above and beyond to help my fiancè and me... especially considering these trying times. No experience with the sales department. :)Edit: I scheduled an oil change and was told I would be able to verify my cars brake pads only for the DNA test to determine that was a lie. I was then told my brake pads were at 5% and 2%. Okay cool, I go buy all new brake pads via Hailey and Brandon. I asked for a quote to put the pads on because Im here visiting family. I was quoted $150/hr at 4hrs for the job. I left and paid a small garage $150 to swap em for me. The car was ready in an hour.
They are very efficient know their jobs! Very very friendly staff and a really nice place if you have to wait. I came in for a routine 6000 mile check up and my husband followed me there so we didnt have to wait, but the whole experience was so pleasant that we decided to wait anyway. Great place!! Will not go anywhere else!!

I love my new Subaru from Fort Walton Beach Subaru! My salesman, Jeff W., was very nice and patient and made me feel welcome. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained the features of the vehicle in great detail. I received a decent amount on my trade-in. I met with the finance manager at the end and closed the deal. My only advice would be to anyone reading this review is to ask questions of the finance manager about the extended warranty and maintenance plan until you are satisfied that you have all the information you need to make a decision. My car is wonderful and I am very happy with it.

Sold me a $50k truck with a bad transfer case. Sales representative was nice and helpful. They offered to help but I just fixed it on my own. Always double check service records and have the vehicle inspected before purchase.
Took my wife’s car in for recall work on 8/25/21 in ft Walton. She received a call two hours later saying it was $1500 due to a broken tire rod and the car wasn’t able to drive, even gave us the paper work.Mike the service manager told me he wouldn’t drive it around the corner. We drove it from Destin to Memphis, TN 8hrs.I called Mike on 8/30- to inquiry why he’s mechanic would make such an inquiry to a young lady. The car was looked at and no tire rod was broken.I asked Mike why this is and he hung up the phone. Wouldn’t use this place and highly recommend ppl Avoid their scare tactics. Mike should be let go of his duties for trying to take advantage of a 26 yr old female. PERIOD

I am so happy how I was treated with great respect ! I had some serious issues with my Subaru . Was treated great from the start to the end ! They were so involved in my issues . They were so helpful and listened to every word I had to share ! They understood the issues of having no car for 10 days or more . They did not hesitate to get me a loaner ! Was very happy with the service department. The mechanic, had to spend more time then he anticipated on my car ! Glad he looked twice at my car ! Thank you all so much ! I do reccomend setting an appointment if at all possible . But my situation could not do that !

When the car that we were looking at ended up getting sold to someone else he was very helpful to help us get one ordered which worked out better for us so we got EXACTLY what we wanted. Once our new Ascent was finally delivered everyone at the dealership was very kind and understanding since we came on a Saturday morning with our 3 year old and 1 month old. As we were working on other paperwork, Mark was amazing and hung out with our toddler so we could finish up without distractions. I was never left wondering what was going on or how much it would cost.I also had my car detailed as it was in desperate need--which I had to schedule ahead of time at the same time I scheduled the appointment--it was expensive but well worth it. My car is used for work and personal use, and as I live in the woods and raise livestock it tends to get dirty. I turned it in to them filthy, and they returned it looking brand new.Transparent, open, friendly, and good at what they do. Definitely recommend the service department wholeheartedly.Thanks, Tyler. Has not been a week since I brought my car from here and the battery died twice and brakes are squeaking. I went back thinking since it has only been a week and I brought a warranty with the car it could be fixed. But the manager tells me it’s not covered and it’s nothing they can do about it.
The service provided was completed in timely manner. The service agent Tyler provided open and clear communication so that I was aware of all issues related to the repair of the vehicle. I really appreciated them providing a loaner vehicle. I am very satisfied and I plan to return for regular maintenance services.

But very informative on warranties and other options to safeguard our new investment. Both were TREMENDOUS to work with!! I had a stellar experience at step one Subaru in ft Walton Beach, fl. Our salesman, Caleb, was very the best salesman I have ever had at a car dealership. Before I even test drove the car he explained all the features it had. He was extremely knowledgeable about the line of cars offered and all their features. He wasn’t pushy or uninterested in what I was looking for. He was also very patient and kind with an older lady who is struggling to keep up with technology. He was just one of those great people you come across in life. While test driving the vehicle he showed me features the vehicle had in real time.The buying process was smooth and went very fast. All the staff involved were very knowledgeable and knew their jobs. Kudos to Tina for dealing with the glitch with our credit union. Caleb really stood out here as well. He completed all the paperwork quickly and was again very knowledgeable. I would definitely come back to this location and purchase my next car. And I will ask for Caleb. He gets a 10 star rating.Also love the quality of my new cross trek.

Really nice and friendly guy. He didn’t push us to buy anything in particular, he just showed us what we wanted to see and let us test drive what we wanted to test while answering our questions. We spent about 4 hours of his time and left satisfied with everything we had done, purchased, and talked about.
One of the better dealerships. Only issue I had was that even with having an 8hr service appointment, I couldn’t get a loaner vehicle.

I had a problem starting the car and had to call road service to get my car started. Your service department worked on it and said it checked out but they replaced the battery. Two days later the same thing happened. I took it to Pensacola and they checked it out and said the battery was bad and the battery was the battery that came with the car and replaced it. I havent had a problem again.
