This location is ALWAYS busy (In a good way!)9/10 cashiers are willing to smile when the greet you. Although it may get cluttered here, it is organized. AND! I TOOK A DOUBLE TAKE... 👀 AN EMPLOYEE DUSTING THE ITEMS! AMAZING!

Bought a new mattress from here. Very inexpensive for a twin size mattress. They also have king, queen and full. The service was great. They even carried it out to my car.

The sizes were all over the place. Really unorganized.

Wanted to donate a wall unit on 7-2-2021 they told me they not accepting any furniture at the moment because they have to much. Well I didnt see anything outside or inside that would make me believe that statement. I will take my items somewhere else from now on.

AWFUL!!! Since when has Goodwill started being so selective on what they accept for donation??? I was told they would not accept a shelf unit (a nice cherry wood one) because it had a little scratch. Also a nice bed frame was denied. These items could definitely be bought by someone who cant afford $200+ furniture. I will never donate here or even shop here again. Come on people, get a grip on your uppity attitude. Ugggh

If the customers were not slobs the store would stay more organized fine anyway.

Okay so I am a huge supporter of Goodwill I frequently shop on their website shopgoodwill.com daily actually to provide inventory for my own store and I purchased almost $100 worth of stuff yesterday at the fountain Goodwill and when I went to my van I remembered I had clothes that I could donate to them so I sat in the parking lot and went through the bags of clothes I had to donate to make sure that I didnt get rid of anything that I needed to keep. When I went around to the back side of the building where their donation center is I asked their manager who was sitting by the exit near their donation station where I could put the donation clothes and he treated me like I was some criminal who was trespassing on their property after their business had closed. Now I will admit yes their business had closed however to treat someone who just spent $100 in your store the way I was treated was completely out of line and unnecessary and he deliberately referred to me as sir even though I very clearly and obviously present as a female! I am going to be contacting corporate about this manager and his position at this store because he Lacks business professionalism and completely disrespected me purposefully for absolutely no reason so I will never shop at this Goodwill location again and Goodwill is lucky that I will ever shop with them ever again!!

Not as nice as the Goodwill stores on Kelly Johnson, Austin Bluffs, and Constitution and Powers. Better inventory at the three stores listed.

Good Service personnel and clean store.

Very organized and always have plenty of staff members that are friendly and eager to help. They are constantly putting more merchandise on the shelves and the prices are lower than most Goodwills. 4 out of 5 stars because customers are witness to manager/employee conversations more times than not. I think its uncomfortable when I hear a manager giving employees instructions or discipline in front of guests

I was looking for work pants and was able to find 2 pair for only $11. Staff was very courteous.

The inside of the place has been rearrange do the aisles are a little wider and they dont have as much furniture out as they used to. But it still a nice store; lot clothing and housewares.

This is one of the nicer goodwills I’ve been in. Customer service leaves a little to be desired but again what do you really expect from a place that works off of volunteer hours and bare minimum wage for the employees they do have. They have a decent selection of just about everything even a tool “cave” in the back corner for sports and outdoor equipment.

I bought a dresser yesterday in really great shape. I came back today to pickup, the guy who helped me load it dropped it off the utility dolly and It scooted across the concrete. I asked him if there was any damage, he said no. We loaded it into the back of the truck on top of moving blankets and when I get home a chunk of the finish is missing from the top of the dresser (laminate, not something that can be sanded out). It makes me sick that he blatantly lied that there was no damage when he fumbled to get it off the dolly. I’ve bought lots of furniture from this store without an issue in the past, buyer beware of dishonest employees. 🤷‍♀️

I came here looking for Halloween costumes back in October. They had a great variety of brand new, marked down accessories, and a few racks full of costumes and more.The staff here are amazing. I was curious about a dress on a mannequin, and an employee stopped what she was doing and spent 10 minutes struggling to remove thebdress and was a complete sweetheart about the entire situation despite how frustrating it could have been.They always have a large selection of new stuff. Very organized, easy to explore. I never leave empty handed. Best local thrift shop.

Totally bizarre.....a great size portion of what is being sold here ...had previously been sold at an overvalued retail store....in the past 5 years

Chris was an amazing help. Helped me tie down the couch and table in the car. He was very sweet and did not hesitate to provide amazing customer service. Also was helped by a gentleman up front with glasses and a purple tie. He was very knowledgeable and so outgoing. Great customer service at this store.

The selection was good, however, I had a pretty bad customer service experience. Yesterday, Monday August 6th fountain had a quick but brutal little hail storm. Early afternoon I was trying on clothes when the power went out and we were to evacuate the building. Since my cart was full I had to put it on hold. All good. Well later in the evening when the power was back on I called to make sure that it was and they were open. It was 830 and the manager I spoke to was not very inviting of me to come in since it was close to close. I already had my cart ready just needed to try on a few things, and since I work earlier than they open and my car got smashed by hail this was my only time available to get my cart before they put the items away. A little before 9 I got to the register but that Manager got on the intercom and said that if everyone, including those in the dressing room, were not at the register they might not get checked out. She then recommended I come in the morning. Horrible customer service she should not be a manager. I understand they close at a certain time and I was there and finished right on time. For her to deny a paying customer, especially one that had already come and gone that day is bad for the company. Im sure goodwill doesnt care much, but I will never go to the fountain location again.

This store is great. The previous reviewer was very misinformed on the pricing strategies. The stores have always used the money that is generated to fund their numerous community programs. Programs like Possibilities which allows mentally handicapped people from our community a place to spend the day being cared for by trained professionals at no cost to the family. Possibilities also educates the clients how to become more independent by teaching them basic life skills such as how to turn on and off a stove, what to do if the fire alarm goes off, how to rent a movie from redbox and watch it in your apartment, and thats just the small stuff I saw on the tour really. I know they are also involved in leap which provides huge amounts of help to needy families in the way of heating and electricity so that even children from poor families can have heated houses during the winter and electricity to power lamps and computers for homework. They have a huge number of programs aimed at the elderly with dementia and Alzheimers. Also a lot of programs to help people who struggle to find employment get back on track in the way of free training, free clothes to interview in and many many many other services. I did see recently that .82 of every Dollar goes into these programs directly and not into the pockets of those on the top levels. I have met the manager Josh at this store and he was so passionate about his store raising money to help our community in all of the ways mentioned above and more. Also the Electronics guy happened to be on the floor and was very very helpful and knowledgeable. I have never had one bad experience here and I sincerely doubt that I ever will.

It always has a wide variety of items. Plus the employees are nice, helpful and knowledgeable. They actually tell you were the donated money goes and How much to each charity. The store is always clean when I go. Sometimes a few clothing items will be in the wrong section but that could be customers putting it away wrong too.

I had a very pleasant experience the store was nice and clean I found alot of nice things for my children. I wish I could remember the cashier name he was a very nice and polite gentlemen he is definitely a good employee to have.

My granddaughter and I love to shop here and have fun. Like a treasure hunt. We make up silly outfits and imagine what uses things might have. Try on clothes and can keep it cheap. We clean up our unchoosen clothes and people are nice here.

This is a clean, well kept store. I dont normally leave without buying at least one item. As with any goodwill, there are good finds and not so good finds. Ive always found the employees to be friendly, helpful and in a good mood.

Got a few shirts, couldnt find a bag I wanted though. Thats how goodwill is, pretty much hit or miss. This is a nicer, cleaner one that doesnt smell like the usual old/dead people. Plus they let the British dude man the mic for last call @ 9. He was the best part. Closing on the dot!

The young man in receiving staff was rude and huffed both times my husband dropped something off. Any other time we have had nicer people, minus a few.

In May of 2016 I complained about items I donated being dumped in the bin breaking the items I carefully stored. I received a phone call telling me they were sorry and would train the crew to respect what we bring to them and encouraged me to try again to use our service. So here in January 2018 I bring over a box with fragile items and ask to have the box back. Within seconds the box is dumped in a bin breaking all the stuff. (I feel I should charge them for time and money to bring them items.) I am downsizing and have too much. Many items have had a place in my home for decades and some had significant $ value, now they dont. I can dump stuff in my trash can with less grief. Your training is horrible! The guys are nice, but careless or dont understand what we are doing or their bosses make them hate the job.

Like any goodwill depending on the day you can find some nice things. I still believe the prices are high on some things. The stuff is used so in my opinion things,especially cloths, should not be more than 5 dollars or less even. But it is fun to shop there. Still worth your time to go.

Negative one on the rate scale. If website says closes at 6p on Sunday and donation center closes earlier, SHOULD BE ON THE WEBSITE. And....if the donation center door says closes at 5:30p and someone pulls up at 5:28 behind another vehicle and the closed cones are not out, when the employee walks away from the vehicle in front of you at 5:30, walks inside and locks the door without so much as a look or a word, I WOULD FIRE THE EMPLOYEE.

I personally think this is the best store in all of Colorado springs and Fountain.

Great staff, some good deals however the prices are all over the place! Some items were $2 to $3 each while others of the exact same item were listed at $8 and $10 each! Gotta watch em...

I have a broken back and my children have to drive me everywhere. On Saturday or Sunday we went and I remembered I had a bag of donations. So I took it in and instead of a thank you i received a reprimand from the the two feminine gentlemen at the register. Wont be returning anytime soon. Not to mention that they charge retail prices on donated goods.

Good selection of items, clean shopping floor however the space between racks was very cramped and there was a long line due to few cashiers.

This goodwill makes me feel welcomed and when i need time to my self i go to goodwill and site and have coffee and enjoy people being nice and the workers welcoming every oneso i want to say thank u to goodwill workers

The new manager at the fountain Goodwill was allowing items that were obviously a pair like bookends and similar to be priced as separate items. My last visit I showed her that the items were a pair and did not fix the issue, obviously would not sell singly. I had a similar pair that I also purchased that were taped together in the same trip and she continued to explain that it was policy she couldnt sell them as a pair- they were serial numbered!I spend thousands ( over $11,000. )in 3 mos time with the old manager because he was fair and used common sense when issues arise of this nature. Not sweating the couple dollars difference but really?! You get the items for free and it would best to keep your biggest customers happy with logical pricing. Prices have gone up over selling value over the past 6 mos at this location...might not be back in this location.

I asked the manager to go down on a sweater that was 9.99 by $2. The manager told me to go find a sweater I can afford. Im heartbroken. I thought Goodwills mission was to help the less fortunate, not make people feel like it. I wasnt asking for a free hand out. Not everyone shops for bargains for fun. For some of us, this our life. Im a stay at home mom of 2, on one income. I dont own a cell phone, 1 shared car.No one should ever be told that to go find something else they can afford. Its Christmas. I cried at the register and took the receipt for the things I bought for my daughters birthday....
