For some reason this particular food Lions layout is a little confusing so I usually have to go back through to get stuff Ive missed. But other than that its clean and bright. All the fresh food looks great, the bakery smells great and the employees are very nice

The staff here goes above and beyond expectations to help you out, the cashiers are all very lovely absolutely sweethearts and complete gentleman. The managers do a fantastic job of making sure everything gets done and doing what they need to do at the same time. Believe it or not with a food Lion card a lot of things their are cheaper than Walmart!!!

The staff at Food Lion on Design and Chrestwood Dr are friendly and nice. I like the way they will put cold items in a blue bag. Very helpful when you did home.

Food Lion has stepped up their game lately! Store is cleaner. Staff friendlier. When not busy they stand by register end and ask if ready to check out... over all experience has improved alot!Anna, I believe a front end or general manager type, is super sweet and friendly. Has helped a few times and really truely cares about the in-store experience foe people.

I like this store because it is not so crowded. It also has some items that I cant find at any other grocery store! Their rotisserie chicken is also very tasty.

Great grocery store! Doesnt have the biggest selection of produce or other groceries, but the quality of their selection is great. Management keeps a watchful eye on register queue length and adapts staffing to get customers checked out faster. Quality of the baked good from the bakery is excellent, as are the deli meats and cheeses.

I have had a wonderful experience at this store. Check out is fast. Its never too crowded. Plus, Food Lions rewards program is one of the best Ive ever used. I always find what I need and because of the rewards, Ive found its cheaper than even Aldi. Their check out is always lightning quick so I never spend too much time in the store.

For some reason every time I go to this food lion it’s always something, this time a employee jumped in front of me while in line to cash out her lottery tickets. I was there just to get a money order and had to wait by the way she was on the clock and turned around and then said we will be right with you. Really then she walked to the office where then she grabbed something I no looks like the safe but I don’t no.

This particular Food Lion has outstanding customer service!!! It was my first time at that location and the phone service was fast and very professional! My experience was even better when I arrived and the store was incredibly neat, organized and very clean. I thought they were straight out of doing a tv commercial, thats how flawless this particular Food Lion of Frederick Maryland was!! Please keep up the fine work and continue to WOW every customer like myself with the awesome cleanliness and great customer services!

Employees do not enforce that customers wear masks within store, or follow social distancing guidelines, in accordance with Marylands Executive Orders regarding COVID 19.When I brought my concerns to a manager, at approximately 2:30 PM today, he was very dismissive & rude. He was clearly irritated that I even mentioned that I was concerned that other customers were not wearing masks.When I tried to bring my concerns to Food Lion corporate, they were also dismissive and provided no resolution whatsoever.This store is posing a health risk to our community!!!!

Easy access and pretty good parking. Prices are fair. While the selection of foods is ordinary, it is adequate. Liked the meats, soda, and specialty aisle.

Its not bad here. Its a small supermarket and some times I cant find what I need. The employees were helpful. Dealing with the machine needed to get a discount card was a PITA.

I like shopping at Food Lion, its never too busy and I know where everything is here. Plus if you have the MVP card then you can save money and get good deals and coupons every week. I can walk or ride my bike there too, so its convenient shopping for us!

This is absolutely my favorite grocery store ever! It reminds me so much of the stores up home. The staff is outgoing, cheerful and helpful. They almost always have whatever it is that were looking for and if not, they find a way to get it by my next visit. The management is amazing! (not like in some other grocery stories where theyre all cranky and stressed out). They are chatty and pleasant to be around, and always make our trips worthwhile. Its almost like an extended family. Several people know my kids by name and are always joking around with them. 😁Even the DMs are great! The entire team is clearly involved about taking pride in their store. They make things readily available, organized and and displays are always up to date and nice looking. I would (and often do!) definitely recommend this store to anyone!

Prices are a high, try Giant Eagle they also have a better rewards program.

Shop here a lot. Very convenient to my home and decent selection of food. Meat is particularly good. Be aware though, no seafood counter and no self-checkout.

My least favorite grocery store ever. I feel like Im in the twilight zone when i walk in this place. Its so weird because the patrons are cool but the staff is the worst. I spend the extra $ and drive to Giant...although Food Lion is in walking distance from my house. They do have some great sales.

We are from Europe. We were amazed by the wideness of the shopping aisles. The prices are comparable to Dutch grocerymarkets. The parking was fantastic. Also the employees at the grocery market where very kind and helpful.

I grew up going to Safeway but I must admit that Food Lion has really grown on me. I am usually impressed with how fresh the produce is but I tend to focus on what is season so that reduces my chances of getting something that is sub par. I would like to see an upgrade in the seafood offerings but I usually just head to a specialty store when I am so inclined. I have only had good experiences with any of the staff and management and the cashiers in particular seem to be mature and focused on keeping the lines moving while still being friendly. The pricing is very competitive, except for maybe vs Aldi, but Aldi is a wasteland for service and selection. I believe I got out of Food Lion two weeks ago with a good month worth of groceries for about $170.00. Now that I finally gave in and signed up for the discount card I can save even more.

This store does offer some of what you need to get if youre in a rush to get your errands done. However they mostly only have food so you would have to go somewhere else to get both food and clothes. They also like to discriminate and follow certain people around the store even if they plan to pay for groceries. Most of the employees there also have an attitude. Wouldnt recommend.

I love the store and the fact that they offer frozen vegan selections. It would be nice if they offered vegan cheese, as well.

This Food Lion, like all others in Frederick, is pristine. Well stocked, well organized, and everything is clean. Even the backroom is swept, mopped, and orderly. To say nothing of the bathrooms, which are always spotless. Great job Food Lion!

Today they have Green Seedless Grapes on sale. All I could find were black grapes and red grapes and some long strange grapes that Ive never seen before. I asked about the grapes and was told they dont have any. Why do you have a big sign on your window for a product you dont have?

Amanda & Linda always seem to make my visit to Food Lion way more relaxed & enjoyable. Not too many stores can, will or even care to know the 1st thing about the importance a single Beef Jerky can have to a customer like me with a 72lb spoiled English Bulldog that anxiously awaits my return after each & every visit to Food Lion but THIS FOOD LION DOES & THEY CARE. It was this reason alone that I planned on being a customer for life. These employees make me feel so welcome the moment I walk thru the front doors which is more than I can say about the Giant down the street which is full of nothing but unhelpful snobs they call employees. Ones that could learn a thing or two from the employees at Food Lion.

I shop here so often I have the aisles memorized. The prices are decent. There is another store down New Design Road but the prices are higher unless the product is on sale or you are looking for a specific gourmet item.

Convenient and friendly, if you do not want the hassle of Wally World or madness then this is the place more of a mom and pop feel than a big chain this place has deals galore and some nifty items that are always on sale .Take Ice Cream we no longer go to Walmart to buy Ice Cream we always come here because its always on sale just like some of there dairy items yup thats right they beat Wally World in some departments when it comes to price and choices

Rude unprofessional cashier in morning.literally every time I come in and if one or two items I have to sit and stand there for people with carts full of hundreds of dollars worth of stuff go before me and they dont call back for backup cashier. On contrary when my turn finally comes. I mention that they should call for additional cashiers when people online only have one or two items behind people with lots of stuff in their carts, Im told to come back at 8:30 when theres two cashiers. WOW this place is horrendous. And management is horrible. Never offered you anything about my complaint ever . No customer service skills at all.. Im going back to giant GIANT FOOD OR ANYPLACE BUT HERE. ...👎👎👎🤔🤪
