I get goat meat here, probably the best place for that. He will push for more lbs than you want, take some extra, you wont regret it 😉.

I went it for the mead department and was disappointed because they are only open during certain days. Grocery seems limited. But they has an area where they were making fresh naan bread. Will have to try that.

Pros - Exceptionally great quality of goat meat available. We don’t mind travelling to fremont from Milpitas to buy the Goat meat, Whole Chicken and the in house bread. Breads are baked daily. The store is clean, spacious with great customer service. Don’t be hesitant to try the meat. 100% Happy CustomerCons- Parking is a bit pain at times.

I heard this supermarket gives good meet to customer, but when i went there and staying in line for half an hour they gave me the worse meet . In general most Afghan markets don’t care about new customers particularly women. They try to cheat them as long as they can.

Be aware of the sneaky guys in the meat department always trying to oversell. Asked for 8 chicken legs, came home with 13! When I paid for my groceries, I thought to myself maybe meat prices has gone up. Shame on me for not counting the meat; shame on them to misuse customers trust in them. Be vigilant.And to the owners. Your business has potentials. Don’t let some punks ruin it for you.

Very good selection of meat for goat and lamb, but they do not carry typical US slices of beef. Fantastic bread made before your eyes. You can have them slice it and then freeze it. Warm in a toaster a month later and it still taste fresh.

Good store to buy bread and lamb.

Our neighborhood Afghani market -- we came in very late on a Sunday just to check it out walking by. Many items available at the local Desi markets are more expensive here, but I am coming back for the wonderful looking flat bread they make in house! And there are many sweets and savories I can imagine my grandfather offering around a samovar, along with the largest variety of lump sugars I think I have ever seen!

Very rude customer service.the guy who said his name was Jan Agha rejected to give us a pair of gloves and started making fun of us that we needed gloves to handle breads. He was handling breads with no gloves and advised us to bring our own gloves in the future. We would never come back to this store. And it is very unfortunate that they do not know basic hygiene.

The store keepers are very nice people. They have halal meat. They have all sort of groceries, Lebanese stuff, Afghani bread, Turkish delights, assorted toffees, utensils and other household stuff, has variety and is a comfortable place with access to parking.

The owner needs to train his employees on customer service and other relevant stuff. Last time i was there, the dude at the checkout was rude, inattentive, baked and texting with someone while i was waiting for him to help me check my stuff out. If the owner wants his business to continue to bring him more fortune, he should take these reviews serious or will lose more customers like myself on daily basis. Cmon dude, this is fremont not KABUL!

I occasionally drive all the way here from Emeryville to buy lamb for pilaf. There are butchers near me but none with high quality lamb like the kind this place has.They could update the decor a bit but otherwise its a nice shop with friendly people.

Really delicious and fresh bread here and also fresh meat as well.

I few things I like about this place1. Some frozen halal food2. Awesome large Afghani bread for $2. If you pass near the shop the smell of the bread makes you hungry. The bread is definitely worth a try.3. Then there are some sweets which are good especially the Baklava4. They have home made fresh cream which goes well with their bread.Used to be my favorite goto place for raw meet but not anymore. The butcher is not very friendly and will give you meat as per his wishes and not what you ask for. He would try to sell you more than you ask for, even insist at times. Will refuse to cut the meat sometimes saying you can do it at home. Basically he will argue and try to have things his way.

Customer services are awful. First time I came to Miawand store, the cashier mentioned I must call to order bread if I need more than 10. Next time when I called to order 12 bread. The guy on the phone said impolitely, first come, first served. if you make an order and come to pick it up, other customers get mad ! The bread here is good, but the guy who tries just to speak English is very impolite and rude guy!
