Sounded a little depressing today, no music. All I could hear were products being scanned at the registers. As with all grocery stores prices are higher. Even though seems like the Asian markets have doubled in price. The store is well stocked and feels fresh inside.
Good Asian market in the area. Selection is great and seafood is fresh! Parking is better compared to the nearby 99 Market! good selection of Asian dry goods, produce and seafood. I enjoyed their vast selection of fresh seafood. Presentation of the offerings was good! Checking-out was quick and convenient. From the selection, customs, and selections, it felt like the 99 Ranch Market with a different name.
The store is so clean and organized. But it was so cold inside! The BBQ pork and roast duck was just so so.
Clean, reasonable prices and a greater variety of products. We enjoy every shopping.
After no competition within this area, 168 market moved item prices very high. Its so cunning. We only go for purchasing some items while urgent need, and it wont be our major place for daily foods any more.
Nice place to get Asian food and grocery
They have a really good fast food/ stream table with great tasting food there and the lady that served me was very nice and generous...👍🏾
Great place to grab a moist and fluffy pastry from. Large variety of authentic food and spices. Has a large selection of fresh meat and seafood. I personally love their produce selection and if you are a ramen lover i highly reccomend checking out a asian food market because you will have a variety of options instead of just your run of the mill maruchan ramen.
Trash. They don’t even have pho noodles. Overpriced veggies
Starting to look sad as new Ranch 99 gets ready to open.
One of the best asian markets in the area. Clean, good selection, and decent price.
The fruits and the fish is very fresh
Clean and organized market. Good variety of seafood, and comparable meat choices and pricing to big market chains. Many options of alternative for vegetarian tastes. Parking can be limited at times.
Love this new Asian market. Nicely organized and clean. Has everything I need, including tea and deli stations as well.Shopping carts look new and are sanitized by staff. Staff wear masks and face shields. Plus its near my place.
Huge amount of selection and good food at the deli and bakery. Prices are kind of high but it’s worth it
There was a religious fanatic blocking the entrance with a sign that was 6 feet wide. I did not go inside.
This place is now called 168 market. It used to be called Marina, so maybe there is a change in ownership. Fantastic place to get stuff and it carries all the same stuff as Ranch 99 a mile away which closed down. They also have a bakery, bubble tea corner and hot food counter. The place is super clean, they disinfect the carts and counters and practice social distancing unlike the Indian store Coconut hill across the street. What a world of difference.
Food Court is quiet pricey! other grocery items are cheap!
They have good tea
Good quality seafood so far!
Good place to get oriental groceries.
168 market has a very bad goods returning execution, which is totally against the CA DCA law. NO ONE IS ABOVE THE LAW. When I tried to return an item yesterday, the manager had a very bad attitude “MY WAY OR NO WAY”, with no DCA knowledge at all and she even did not know she was committed to a big NO NO violation against the law. She should check the return policy issued by DCA and related authorities. They deserve a correction from DCA and public health dept., etc. Often, their SOP (I wonder if they had one in place) was defective, you can smell something bad in the meat and fish dept. It never happened in Safeway/Costco, etc. The food court also provided expensive choice and when you asked why last week the food was charged by weight and this week by box. The cashier’s answer was they changed it at will. What a store! Two thumbs down.
I like the quality of the fish here, I always come out here when I need tilapia, salmon or catfish.
Great selection of Chinese groceries. The meat and seafood department is very clean.
Very clean and organized. If you like shopping in a place that makes sure that foul odors are controlled, this is the shopping experience for you!
Nice asian grocery store
Clean has hot food to go great selection of brands and foods
No long lines.
Nice and clean!
I think it was better whean it was Marina market.
Things are more expensive here compare to other chinese groceries.
This place is so unsanitary. Their dead lobsters were left out so long that the shell was soft and mushy. There were lots of dead fishes in the tank. The cashiers were very unwelcoming and dont greet their customers. I have been to other seafood markets and had never had such a horrible experience.
Every asian product is availableAmazing food at the bakery always freshOnly con is too difficult to find the productsYou need plenty of time and patience to find the if you doesnt know the asian language
Even though, this is not the closest Asian Supermarket to where we live, my family likes getting Asian goods and groceries from this location. This Marina Food has a milk tea store inside, a selection of prepared meals and a buffet section to choose from. Additionally, there is a large selection of frozen foods and fresh seafood. At least one member of my family comes here every few weeks. We think of this particular grocery store as our grocery down the street (as one might think of their local grocer in the olden times).
I shop here often, Products of a great quality and good prices, and the best costumer service ever.
This place is not Marina. Its now called 168 market. Its clean here and the selection is pretty good.
Great selection of Asian goods.
Good quality for meat and seafood.
Its a newly opened Asian market, nice and clean.
Good place to shop asia food or goods.
Wife and I order sticky rice ball, freshly made soy milk and porridge for breakfast. And everything is tasted great and good price too. Highly recommended if you want some Taiwanese style breakfast.
Live Dungeness crab. Cleaned for free. Done in one minute. Fresh Chinese veggies. Good selections.
Unique Asian food products
Close by, full selection of groceries, & baked & cooked foods.
Nice shopping environmental and plenty of selection.
Its very nice place to buy Asia food, more items than 99
The Saturday morning breakfast food is very bad, dont buy it.
Nice Asian grocery. We brought fresh fish and tea.
Great selection of produce and frozen foods. Its my go-to store for hot pot ingredients.
Great place to shop, a lot of Asian foods choice
When I was outside with my mother, we saw a group of people even though it said that there can only be 2 people per family, and we saw another women who took off her mask and started coughing, now my mom’s sick and we don’t know if it’s the virus or not, so the employees should learn to deal with this. Never going there again.
Various kind of Asian food!! Love the frozen durian
Just purchased a soy milk yesterday but was totally bad. The best date it said was still 7 days from today. What a bad experience. Normally I do not keep the receipt base on the trust I have with the merchant. But this will be a good lesson for me.
Good Chinese super market. They have point card system which costs you $1 for the card to collect points. Points can be used to exchange items in cook food area. I love their Chinese herb breads in this area. They also frequently have huge discount on Chinese cooking rice wine if youre looking for them to help wife recover after delivering baby. I take one star off because its not as nicely decorated as 99 ranch.
Parking here is so much easier than at similar markets. Great selection and usually priced competitively.
Very nice alternative / compliment to 99 Ranch. Good selection of seafood and vegetables. Nice bakery.
Many kinds of Asian food available. Recently discovered their pretty wide selection of cooked food which is priced reasonably.
I get my cravings satisfied here. If i want moonpies, tikoy, pears, peaches i go here. they have aquariums of alive fishes and crabs too! i love all the baked goods especially the cakes with fruits and the matcha baked goods. the combo meals they offer are good too. I love to go grocery shopping here!
I buy fish from this place, its frozen so cant expect quality as good as fresh catch. Rates are on higher side in compare to local grocery.
Variety of Asian food
Nothing special. Just like any 99 markets
Clean, well maintained grocery store. Prices are a bit higher but better quality. Parking is hard to find any day except early morning after opening. This is an Asian food store so dont expect finding anything but Asian ingredients.
Relatively clean, but you still need to be vigilant about expiration dates. Seafoods generally fresh, and the supermarkets stocked with products from Taiwan and Japan. However, Ranch 99 in Pleasanton has a better supply of greens.
Theres plenty of merchandise, but what really makes this place special, are the two other stores inside it. There is a Chinese bakery and boba shop inside. The Chinese bakery is pretty good, and the boba shop is a better alternative to the T4 in the plaza as it is both cheaper and better in quality.
Comparing to some oriental grocery store, Marina is clean and well organized. I dont smell odors in the back. However I try to avoid fruit and meat from there. They are just not as fresh as the ones from Target or Safeway.
Many people like these market
Clean, good price, not crowded
One of the last Chinese markets in south Fremont
Can always find what ever I am looking for.
One of the better Marinas on this side of the Bay.Theres a small boba stand, a takeaway restaurant, and a bakery inside. Pretty convenient if you suddenly feel like grabbing something during the middle of grocery shopping.Started cooking Japanese food recently and this place has a pretty decent selection of ingredients for it, specifically konnyaku noodles, beef sukiyaki (cant tell what cut, maybe a cheaper sirloin), and shiitake mushrooms. Not quite as well-supplied as Mitsuwa or H-Mart but definitely better than 99 Ranch. So, if youre planning on cooking nabe or nikujyaga, you can get everything here.
Good variety of Asian groceries at reasonable prices.
Good place to buy Asian snack (Taiwanese, Japanese, Chinese). This store have a membership card which lets you earn points each time you pay. The points then can be used to buy at the inside restaurant (pack lunch, roast duck, chicken etc.)
Love the variety of snacks! Proly my fav Chinese supermarket carrying majority Taiwan made products. The only complaint would be to turn down the refrigeration. It is a freezer in there.
They had me at “bakery!”Did I mention I love bakeries? This one, “Sheng Kee,” had opened recently when I visited late May, 2019.If they have a speciality, I’d say their ... well, I’d call them “buns.”Sweet. Savory. Spicy.Your choice. All of the ones I tried were excellent.Sweet potato? Coffee/walnut? Pineapple/custard?My mouth is watering now.I grew up in the midwest. If there was a bakery like this there when I was a kid I’d probably have grown up FAT.Oh, prices are reasonable. Service is good. Did not shop in rest of store. All I cared about was the BAKERY!
Clean, quiet, not crowded, you can get everything you want basically for Asian Chinese food.
This place has been changed or renamed to 168 Market
Good selection of Asian grocery. Reasonable price. Clean set ups. And of course fresh seafood
Overpriced
Fresh and organized.
This is probably my favorite asian grocery store in Fremont. Its really well organized and clean!!!! Theres also a decent boba place, bakery, and deli inside. Its also conveniently located next to a bunch of restaurants.Parking is a bit of mess since the lot isnt that big for a plaza with so many shops. Remember to bring your own bags unless you want to pay $0.10 for one!
GREAT. SHOP
Good Chinese market. Price was relatively low.
Best Chinese grocery store in Fremont, much better than ranch 99 in newark and fremont, also much better than the marina food in union city (near little sheep).Vegetables and fruits are relatively fresh, and meat are decent. Rewards double when you reach $80, and most things you can buy with reward points are good (ranging from pork legs to sweet steaming buns).
Similar to Lion and Ranch 99 markets. You get points that can be redeemed for food at the hot deli. Produce is sometimes not very fresh. The hot deli is only OK. But its no better or worse than the other two markets.
DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. THEY SELL EXPIRED FOOD. I BOUGHT DRINKS AND THEY WERE 2 YEARS EXPIRED. PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT TO BE HEALTHY. I WILL BE FILINH A REPORT TO TGE FDA PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES.
I should buy asian groceries over there. I like to come during lunar new year.
Great store ! It not only sell good chinese foots, but also a great of various fresh foods.
Great bakery. Prices for other items a little pricy though, especially in produce (compared to other Asian grocery stores)
I love the bubble tea shall here. Havent really shopped in the grocery store yet
Good place for sea food. Live fish and crab available....
Our new place for bday cakes since all the kee wah bakeries closed in Milpitas. This sheng kee seems to be netter then the other two in Milpitas.
Hella Asian food
Very nice grocery place for all, their BBQ section of the best, specially the BBQ pork(chashu), always a line there on weekend and gets sold out quick on Adrian holidays.
Great place for most chinesey things, just expect long lines and crowded isles right before holidays.
Car got broken in. They have earned so much money but dont want to spend a penny on security enhancement. I will never go there again.
