My go-to place after walking 🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️🚶‍♂️in the mall. Fat-free, gluten free and non-dairy...and so tasty. I like all the tropical flavors: mango 🥭, coconut🥥, pineapple🍍 and pina colada. Staff here are really cool 😎😎😎. I call it my happy place😊😋😊😋😊

Tried their chorizo breakfast burrito today - sakes alive! Everything was handcrafted and fresh - even the tortilla. It was a fat burrito and unexpectedly filled me up. (I thought I was going to need two.) It came with an optional side of homemade green chili, which was super flavorful. And the price was amazing. Its the best deal in the valley right now. Oh, and the Gelu Brew dark roast was a nice accompaniment. Gelu has proven they can do Italian ice right - their latest venture into coffee, pastries and breakfast burritos shows they can succeed in their expansion of offerings.

I came to this place today and it was so welcoming. I got to try samples so that was great. The price is so awesome and you get alot. The manager and staff are so friendly. The customer service was great. The place was super fast. This place is a must stop when visiting baybrook mall. I will be coming to this place again.

Went here for the first time on a family vacation, with my dairy allergy it is sometimes hard to find compatible dessert places, this place was great! Awesome flavors and great customer service, definitely wish they had a location where I’m from, they most definitely deserve 5 stars ⭐️(To answer the question bout where I’m from, my family and I are from Florida so quite a ways away but again loved Gelu! The closest thing we have at home is jerimiahs Italian ice and even most of their flavors have dairy unless it is a fruit flavor 💔)

The people who work here are some of the kindest, most knowledgeable people Ive ever encountered. They seem to get really excited when they find out that its your first time eating at their place. The people I encountered had endless amounts of patience, and they answered every question I had.The Italian ice itself tastes GREAT. Most of the ingredients they use are fresh and locally sourced, with the exception of things like chocolate chips. Its delicious and very reasonably priced.There are very few allergens present in the Italian ice. I have wheat and egg allergies, and my stomach is completely unbothered.

I was at Baybrook Mall yesterday and stopped at Gelu Italian Ice, a new Clear Lake Chamber member. I remembered Italian Ice from when I was kid at the little league baseball games..What a treat. Not only are there multiple flavors to choose from, including my 2 new favorites, Mango and Pina Colada, but they also have an alcohol license so you can put in a little punch and make it a smoothie. How cool. Anyway, I had the 2 flavors above and they were fresh and delicious. Not icy but super smooth, almost like ice cream, except there is no dairy in it. Highly recommended for a refreshing afternoon pick me up. They also had a little rolling cart in the store that was wrapped with their logos. The owner, Ronn, said that they do special events such as birthday parties, company parties etc....Keep that in mind.

We were visiting from out of town and decided to try this. The Italian Ice was very close to what you get back East (where Im from.) Friendly staff; let us sample as many flavors as we wanted. We ended up getting the large (with 4 flavors.)

Gelu is a delicious dessert, especially if you have food sensitivities. What I didnt realize is that they have great coffee there, too! I was pleasantly surprised. Plus, the employees are always friendly and eager to help.

Gelu is the most delicious frozen treat you can have on a hot summer day! Everything from the consistency to the flavors is perfect. Easily the best thing to eat for a cool down treat AND fewer calories than ice cream! You have got to try it :)

Nothing Italian about what you are getting here. It is all ice and unnatural tasting flavours. The regular ice cream is a thick sticky goo. Avoid. It is a disgrace to Italian gelato.

The, erm... Gelu, I suppose youd call it, is amazing. Its like a mix of all the best parts of shaved ice, frozen yogurt and gelato. The teenagers that work there are really friendly and nice, along with the music being perfectly weird. (Dont Stop Believing followed by We Are the Champions is an awesome thing to hear while waiting). Speaking of waiting, its all really quick and painless. Its cheap for how good it is, too. Also, it seems healthy-ish, (Im a fat guy, I wouldnt know) so thats a plus. Long story short, if you want something delicious and cold, come here.
