I called for pricing ( which is the best around) asked when I could bring my car in. 8 am that next morning I dropped it off, Micheal had already ordered the parts and it was finished by 4 pm. Got some last minute repair work done to my sons truck. They were amazing. Please please come here!! They are so great!!My undercarriage was loose, but I work most days until 6 pm so I had very little time to actually bring it in to get it checked (Id have to use my lunch hour). This garage just happened to be the nearest to me. I gave them a call before I had to go into work and explained my situation, said they could see me. I come in a little early to find that they adjusted their lunch schedule for me (which is sooo incredibly kind). They take a look, fix a clip, and have me out in time for me to me to have lunch still. All without charging me! They literally made my day I can not recommend them enough.

My catalytic converter was stolen off my car as well as my O2 sensor. I came in to have the car looked at so I could get a quote on how much the repair would be. From the get go I felt that I was getting honest feedback from Michael and his staff, and he helped me understand the damage in detail and was great clarifying any questions or concerns I had. Not only was the customer service excellent, but he also was able to help me save a significant amount of money by offering to do the repair in a nontraditional way so that I wouldnt have to get a new catalytic converter, new O2 sensor, and exhaust pipes separately. My car was ready to go within about 24 hours of having the car inspected. I truly felt that I was being cared for throughout the entire process and it was clear to me that 3rd Street Garages mission was not to make another dollar, but instead to positively serve and support me as a customer. Will definitely be bringing my car back here next time I need an auto shop!

Went in today for my State Inspection. While I live nearby I was unaware of this shop until my friend showed me their ad. After looking up their reviews I was impressed and decided to give them a try. I was so glad I did! The staff was friendly and they were able to get to my car right away. This is a 5 star review all the way around! I took my car to a mechanic near my office when my brake booster went out. They replaced the booster and gave it back to me- not fixed. I then took it back, they kept 2 weeks and still not correctly fixed. THEN I remembered the mechanic in Frisco - 3rd Street Garage- that actually saved me money a few years ago by telling me my AC wasnt actually broken. I made an appt online( a feature that I really like) and received a confirmation that same day. I dropped my car off- and Michael was great; I detailed my problem with my brake booster. He called me a couple of hours later and told me that the previous mechanic did not bleed the brake lines or ABS module after replacing booster! I am not a mechanic and even I knew you had to do that! I had that and an alignment done for a very reasonable price. It was ready the same day and now my brakes are perfect!! Recently moved from LA to TX, I was looking for a local Mech Shop to bring my 2010 Cadillac for minor repairs and upkeep. Im not one to spend an arm and leg on an older vehicle, but I was looking for honesty with results vs breaking the pocketbook and not resolving the problem. My car was having multiple issues, and I had the best customer service from Michael and Jerrod. They both were very attentive, gave me the best recommendation and cost for what was needed. I was able to drop off my vehicle, and repairs were completed the next day. Im one satisfied customer and will continue my business with them in the future.

I went to brakes plus and was quoted 350 for part labor and test. I told them I would need a second opinion, and my family suggested 3rd street garage. Michael and his team were able to diagnose and correct the check engine error for a third of the cost on Christmas Eve! This is a local mom and pop that has had my family’s business for over 20 years and just gained another loyal customer.

Went there for my state inspection. The experience was a breeze. Very friendly staff and excellent service.

I took my Chevy Tahoe in to have the suspension checked, Jerrod was able to determined the problem and had it fixed the next day. While they had it Jerrod and Michael went a step above and checked my oil (which i knew it as about time) Michael called to recommend an an oil change. The pricing was less than what i had been paying for oil changes and agreed to have the work done My Tahoe drive like new now. Michael and Jerrod were Great !! If you are in the Frisco area or not check them out its worth the drive.

These guys are awesome! I showed up at 4:15 desperately needing to get my car inspected so I could get my registration renewed before leaving on a road trip the following day (gotta love procrastination). I ran in telling Michael at the front desk that I had to have it done by 4:45 pm if I was going to make it to city hall in time before they closed for the weekend in order for me to get the registration done. Luckily, his inspector had just shown up and they were able to get my car inspected and done within 15 minutes, making sure I was taken care of. Michael even gave me a cookie from Tiff’s Treats while I waited! Great customer service!

This was the GO TO garage in Frisco for a long time for quick, FRIENDLY, and excellent service.I would take all of our cars here, since we have so many, it was beneficial to make the drive.Since they have different management, they are 2 to 3 times as much now!Ridiculous.Just went in for timing belt and water pump replacement and was going to be near $900 for an older model Honda Accord... !?! Wth. I just got a price for half that at Brakes plus. 😐Now!! So, they put back together the car and so we leave 3rd street and we get to Brakes Plus, and now there is a gushing of radiator fluid from the car. Never had a radiator problem. We ran the engine all day today. No radiator problem at all.Now, all of a sudden there is a crack in the radiator... just doubled our cost!?!? Wow...

I have an Amazing story, about Max and the staff at this best kept secret in Frisco Texas located right down town. One, if your a @Lyft Driver you must check this garage out. First things first, they are professional for the following reasons. They open when they say they open! You are greeted by people who actually care about service, and thoroughly addressing vehicle issues. In my case it was my brakes and rotors. Get this, I took my vehicle to several different places, and each one of those places didnt thoroughly look at the problem before speaking. I came in to 3rd street garage with a big problem with my brakes which another place had replaced my calipers and pads. Long story short they screwed up my brakes pads calipers and rotors. I came to 3rd Street to see if they could fix the problem. Michael (the manager) was very professional, pleasant and easy to talk to. I explained my problem. He got Jerrod ( the mechanic) To look at what was happening. Everything needed to be replaced. Michael worked with the other place and made them pay to replace all the parts and labor. So it didnt cost me more money. Michael called me everyday to keep me posted on the work. He also has called me a couple time after I picked up my truck to make sure my truck was running ok. Jerrod replaced everything and took his time to show me what the other place did wrong and what needed to be done. It took a few days to rectify the mess the other place did but my truck is fixed and I will now only take it to 3rd Street Garage. Thank you Michael and Jerrod for the GREAT service.

I’ve trusted the manager, Michael, ever since he worked at a Honda dealership and he helped me with my Civic. He’s really good at explaining what’s happening with your car, timelines for how long it will take, and won’t BS you on anything. I am even happier to work with him here at 3rd Street Garage because the smaller crew is even better to get to know. I was even able to ask the mechanic, Jared, for little details when I was there today to have my truck looked over. We are leaving tomorrow for a long off-roading and camping trip and it is so reassuring to know our truck is in perfect condition and ready to go.I can tell you we’ll be making to drive from Richardson from now on, just because quality and trust are so important to me when we have a lifted off-roading truck and my lowered modified Civic. It’s hard to trust someone else with your babies, but once you have a place you know!

My Cadillac Escalade started making a bad noise from inside the engine block on my drive to work last month. I have taken minor repairs to 3rd Street but nothing requiring an overnight stay. I pulled up to the garage and was treated by Richard, the new manager, and I asked him if he filed 3rd party warranty claims. It was an honest question since I never bought these money wasting instruments of profit for car sales people. He happily stated that they did file with these pirates and promptly started to diagnose my engine issue. He said that the Caddy 6.2 liter V8 has an ongoing congenital defect in the valve control system, which is what he thought it would be. The warranty company let me know that I had to front the breakdown of the engine to diagnose the problem. Richard was nice and knowledgeable and walked me through the process. He called me late that same afternoon to inform me that when he got the head off of the engine he was surprised to find a broken piston, not the valve problem he thought it would be. Well, fast forward a little, after 3 weeks of Richard constantly beating up the warranty company and removing my entire engine, he was able to repair the problem. The warranty company would not replace the engine which was Richards suggestion. They saved a whopping $500 on a $7000 repair. As annoying as it was to be out of a ride for the time it was in the shop, they did a great job of handling the call center “adjusters”. And at the end of the day I made a resolution to never buy a used car without the “dreaded” aftermarket warranty. Richard, Melvin and the crew did a great job and will get my business as well as referrals.

My wife took her 2011 Honda Accord for an oil change, transmission flush, and back breaks changed out. Not only was their price better than the rest in the area but the service was amazing as always! We have had them deal with our vehicles in the past and each time it is great customer service along with superb work and affordable prices. Tldr: if you have money to waste this is the placei dropped off my car during the night with a letter telling them what was wrong and to fix it. the next day i get a call and they tell me $560 which was shockingly high for what i had thought would only be $300-$350. heck they have done well by me in the past but not this time they charged me $72 to diagnose the issue even though i told them.they then over charge me on parts DL7764-6-10 the first google search takes me to autozone where its $142 they charged me $210 a whole $70 extra then the belt for the new alternator 990K6 $36 from autozone they charged me $59 maybe they just arent thrifty because its not their money.now for the $180 labor charge which i find outrageous for a job that takes 20 min if you have the tools and know how at least thats how long the youtube videos are but who knows i could be wrong on this point. i think they charge a minimum of 1 hour labor even if the work only takes 20 min so 1 hour of labor to diagnose which wasnt needed and 1 more hour of labor for a 20 min job. if this is industry standard god help usso in the end i feel i was over charged $165 plus the labor

I have dealt with Melvin for the past 15 years with extreme success. He is the best mechanic I know. I am very happy to see that he is still there and repairing cars. I do not know the new owner, but the manager, Richard, appears to be on top of the shop. I had my diesel truck towed to the shop on a weekend with a major diesel leak. They had the truck ready to pick up by Tuesday and the price came out to be less than quoted. A pleasant surprise. I took my wifes car in for struts and alignment and they got it out the same day.

While the original owner moved on years ago the top notch service, at an honest price, has not.It may not be the prettiest or newest shop, but it is one of the best you will find for having work done on your car.

Went in at 3:30 on a Friday, needing to have it done the same day, and they said no problem. They close at 6:00, but stayed until 8:00! to make sure I was taken care of. Not to mention, the cost for everything was 1/3 of what Toyota of Plano quoted. Couldnt have had a better experience. (And it takes a LOT, for me to submit a positive review.) Previous owner(s) where very friendly and fair.But it seems like 3rd street garage has become another typical mechanic shop, you go in for a light bulb, they hand you $2000 estimate for other stuff that if not changed the world will come to an end. Later you find out the light bulb was just loose and needed to be pushed back in.

Im a 2nd time customer at 3rd St. Mack and Melvin took really good care of me...they took the time needed to handle the jerks for my warranty and Melvin accomodated transportation by driving me to my destination while they serviced my car. Although my car repair was much more than I was prepared to spend (given the fact that the extended warranty did not kick in), their prices are pretty reasonable compared to other places and the work is quality. Initial experience was just fine, but work had to be redone. Second trip was a total nightmare. Employee and owner had my wife to the point of tears when she questioned the bill. They called her names and insulted her. Even followed her out of the building when she walked away and couldnt talk with them any more. I called to find out the story and get some resolution. I was met with nothing but hostility owner was smug and didnt offer any assurance that I would even feel safe with my wife doing business with them. Horrible people could not rate any lower.

I almost wish there was an Unknown label quality because I dont want to give a bad review to this place since I never got to experience them.Anyways, had an appointment at 8am when they claimed to open because I had to get to work immediately afterwards. At 8:15 with two phone calls, knocking on the door and just trying to find someone, I finally left because no one would answer.

They went way beyond the norm of great service and friendly people. Customer for life!

Beware!!!!We picked these guys because of the good reviews on Yelp. Boy, did we make a huge mistake.!!Our car was making a squeaky belt sound and we took it in, they diagnosed it right away and said they can “fix” the problem without an appointment. When we went to pick it up, they told us they are waiting on another part that they couldn’t get until tomorrow so the sound may not go away completely. We paid the bill and left with the car squeaking even louder than before.... next day we came back, and got that other part. We had to pay another bill for that. Forward one week, the sound is back.... very loud squeaking. We took it back again, and now they are saying it’s something else. We decide to give them a second chance and had another part replaced ...costing us twice the original repair! As we drove off this time, all the steering fluid leaked out from the part they replaced this time and the steering wheel started locking up and we had to turn around and go back, to get the parts changed out AGAIN!HUGE RED FLAG!!!!Guess what!?The squeaking sound still hasn’t gone away. By this time we figured we had invested so much time and money at this place. We wanted it fixed right. So we went back again, and this time they had the car sitting all day without looking at it. When we show up near closing time to see what’s happening because they never called us back! Rich ( the manager) told us they adjusted it and it should be good now. Ofcourse the very next day, the sound came back.... in total we took the car to 3rd street garage 4+ times and paid 3 bills for a problem that never got fixed. Lots of wasted time and money!!! We are now taking it to another mechanic and they quote 80% less than what we paid 3rd street total. We called to complain and Rich said to bring the car back to them to fix it .... would you??!!! Enough is enough!! We wasted so much time and money.They obviously don’t know what they are doing! They also refused to reimbursed ANY amount of money back, even though they didn’t fix the problem we went to them for in the first place! STAY AWAY! Would give them no stars if I could..... it’s a shame that we thought they would have the integrity to do the job right the first time... or second, or third... I’m sure you get the picture.******Update: Although I did not hear from the owner personally. I did get a call from Rich (the manager) to apologize and offer a 23% refund. Which is the amount I needed to pay my new mechanic to fix the squeaky belt correctly ( which took only a few hours). The squeak belt problem is finally resolved after a frustrating and costly month.

Went to another garage and thought the price was a liitle high, decided to call 3RD Street Garage. Was very happy to get a fair price. They even stayed late to finish up my vechicle on a Friday night.(2 hours late). They did excellent work, highly recomend them!!!!!
