My most recent experience with Authority Automotive again was great. I thought I had a little brake problem but didnt know for certain what it might be. Rick suggested I bring the car by for an examination. I did so the following day and once the car was up on the hoist, yes indeed, the front brakes needed some work. We agreed hed get the parts and Authority would put them. When the breaks arrived I received a text and we firmed up the date I could bring the car by for a repair. It went just as planned and I dropped off the car. Not very long afterward I received a call saying the car was ready to go. Rick goes above this too. I was given a ride home and then picked up after the work. I dont live all that far away but too far to walk. Absolutely great work, very friendly and Ive never had something go wrong with the work done in the last two plus years Ive been a customer. The guys all seem to have that attitude and a feeling that Im not going to be ripped off when having the work done.

Got my rotors and pads installed. I bought the parts and shop helped me replace them. They were very professional and quick in turning around the car back to me. Installation was done for a very reasonable price. This place is going to be my first stop for any future repairs. Do not go to franchise repair shops and get ripped off. Come to this authority automative!

This place is great! Went to a few places before this one trying to get my A/C recharged and they were rude and said they couldn’t look at it until tomorrow. Found this place and they took care of it right away. They looked just as busy as the other places too so I was very thankful for authority automotive. They were also nice and took care of the problem while I waited. My A/C now blows super cold 🥶 This place rocks!!

I need to write a review because this is the 2nd time Authority Automotive could have taken me to the bank and didnt. Both times I didnt know what was wrong with my car(s) and other local name brand mechanic shops charged me for non-fixes. (a timing belt replacement which wasnt needed) Took it to Authority Automotive and they fixed it right first time with no additional hidden fees. One repair was my AC stopped working and I was staring at a $1700 repair bill at other places, they replaced a bad relay, not even $90. They could have charged me $1700 and I wouldnt have known any better but they didnt.You need to check them out if you need a repair.

It does great business if you need to get your car fixed by authority you need to make an appointment but I have a Room in the parking lot to park your car and sit I believe theyre a little high on the prices but all in all I feel like theyre hones.

Whoa! I was looking this up to ask a question and noticed I never finished my review!Little while back I came here in a pinch to replace my clutch that completely failed. It was late, and when I called to leave a VM he answered!Our schedules never lined up to meet, but was able to drop off and get it back with no issues!Also, his quote was for a normal repair, but when he started realized one part wasnt needed- so he let me know and put the cash difference in my cars console! That kind of transparency and honestly is rare!

They are experienced to detect the right problem and fix it properly until youre satisfied with work they have completed.

Fast good and quick

I have been using another local repair shop for the past 15 years, but gave Authority a try because of the reviews. So glad that I did. The reason I took the time to write a review is because Authority Automotive could have fixed what I thought was wrong for more money, but let me know that there was a less expensive alternative. They also took the time to examine the rest of the car to let me know things that were in need of replacement. The staff was very friendly and I felt like my business was important to them. I will be taking all 5 of my cars to them in the future.

I will definitely use Authority for all my mechanic needs from now on. I took my 07 Altima in to have the A/C repaired thinking it was going to take forever and cost a fortune. They found the problem and and had it fixed within a couple of hours. And the plus side is it wasnt expensive at all.

This is the second time I have used Authority Automotive. They were just as amazing this time as the last. I had been to another place because I didn’t think Rick did brakes. After getting a quote range between $1,400 and $2,100, I slipped over to call Chad to see if they did brakes. Well yea they do 🥴 Told those guys I would have to get back with them and I was outta there. Got it over and asked For Rick to drive it and see what he thought. He fixed it right for an 1/8 of what the other place quoted. He is a genius!! Chad is so sweet, I had a really bad tire on the front and on his own he moved it to the back until I could go get tires. They will always be my automotive place. I would trust these guys with my life. Great experience all around.After another shop quoted me an arm and a leg for a repair, I called around for quotes. Just getting a quote from some places was a pain. Rick at Authority Automotive gave me a quote right away (most others made me wait until they called back). The quote was similar to a few other shops, but based on the good reviews and the way I was treated on that call, I decided to go with Authority.The original shops diagnostic was for an extensive repair, but after Authority diagnosed the problem, they suggested trying a cheaper fix first, and then if that didnt work they would credit the cost towards the larger repair! Well, the cheaper fix did work and saved me a ton of money.I have a feeling the original shop would have barreled forward with the more expensive repair, and when it didnt fix the problem, probably would have charged me the additional cost of the cheaper fix too.So glad I decided to give Authority a try. They have earned my repeat business.

I chose this mechanic based on the great reviews and the location of the shop. Rick has worked on both of our vehicles and has done a fantastic job! The service is great and the price is so much better than several other mechanic shops. I am the type of person that takes the time to do a lot of research in order to find a good shop. I dont often take time to post reviews, but Authority Automotive in Frisco warrants my time and attention. I own a 2000 Range Rover, a vehicle that many shops wont work on. And since the vehicle is so old, its often hard to find parts. Competent, honest and reliable mechanics are difficult to find these days, and I feel fortunate to have found this shop! I feel that they provide me with quality service and parts at fair prices and have never been disappointed with their work. In fact Id trust them to work on any of my vehicles.Over the past year and a half Ive had Rick, Chadd and the fine crew at Authority Automotive work on my Rover multiple times, performing such services as tune up, replacing the exhaust intake, checking electrical components and replacing a muffler.Each time Ive contacted Rick hes been able to get the vehicle into his shop without delay. The mechanics have done troubleshooting and diagnosed problems quickly and given me the rundown on what needs to be done, as well as letting me know about minor repair items that arent critical.Give them your business--Im confident youll be more than satisfied.

Took my 2007 Hummer H3 to a Brotherly franchise and got an estimate to fix my 10 year old car that was outrageous. I began looking online for a small repair shop with decent reviews and found Authority. Their estimate for the same repairs was ⅓ the cost of the big guy and they were able to get to my car the same day. Ive used them several times since, and every time they are the same, consistently honest and efficient mechanics. They are not cheap, but their prices are reasonable and fair. The mechanics are truthful, Ive never felt gouged, Ive never felt I was told to replace a part I didnt really need, they call and return calls efficiently. We have 2 older cars (10 & 6 yrs old), and these guys have made it cost effective to hang on to them. Oh, and did I say Quick? Every time Ive had work done its either same day or next day service. Lots more than I can say for the big franchise that took 4 days to diagnose my car and wanted 3 more to fix it! Authority does not have a beautiful lounge, free coffee, or free wifi. I will gladly do without those to have my car up and running quickly without maxing out my credit card!

This was a great experience. Very honest mechanic. Dropped my car off expecting it to be $1,000 if not more, but it was only $180. The owner Rick, called to make sure everything was running okay after i got my car back. Would highly recommend and if needed will go back.

I had battery trouble, and after a new battery completely died about 2 weeks after it was installed, they gave me a brand new one for free. I was floored! They don’t try to sell me on things I don’t need (I have an 11 year old car and trying to keep repairs minimal), and have been more than fair on my pricing. Honest and great mechanics. I have a rear brake shoe problem and the dealer quoted me a crazy price. Rick beat the price and also took care of it in one day. This was for a 2003 Sequoia / Tundra truck. I will be back with my Land Cruiser and Honda.

Ive had the privilege of using Ricks services on a few occasions. On my truck I have had a valve cover gasket and thermostat replacement and he had then both done in less than 24 hours and on a great price. He is the one to go to because with him you know he will do the work that is needed and will do his best for the best price. He wont rip you off like many mechanics and has amazing customer service

I was referred to Ricks shop by a friend. I didnt have anything major to be done. But I had a headlamp I couldnt replace the bulb in. They took a few minutes to do it and told me it was on the house. All those 5 star ratings are valid. Went in for a brake pads replacement with self supplied parts. Easy in, easy out within an hour and half. Job well done and extremely cost effective compared to pretty much everyone else I can think of.
