The one time I got to go in was great, but now after going from around 3 pm to 5 pm Ive not seen it open once. Reopens at 3:30? Ill believe it if I ever see it

Gabe is the best manager Ive encountered across the company, I go regularly and Im happy to see it reopen after being down for so long.

Though its locations is a little off the beaten path, the store is nice and well maintained, with an excellent staff. Very worth the visit.

Both times I’ve come, one week day and one weekend day, the store was closed. Despite store hours showing open online and in the window. Wasted trip twice.

Update your Sunday hours please. Drove 2 1/2hrs to find that youre closed Sundays instead of Tuesdays.

For the Warhammer wargames only. They have everything you could want and need for the game from dice, brushes, paint, and models of every faction.

Sunday hours online listed as 12-6. Went on a Sunday at 2:00. Store closed and lights off. Sign says they close for lunch from 3 to 3:30. Are you open or not? Unreliable, avoid this location.

I have to say i have played for many many years... I was down visiting family and visited the Grapevine store/cafe. I found out who the manager at this store and was absolutely amazed. I have known Don for many years, he was the manager of the store i went to in Virginia. He has recently returned to running a store and i am happy to hear he has. Don is an amazing painter, teacher, he is an enthusiast of the hobby and the games and is just one of the best at what he does. The store, and the local community is lucky to have him there.When you visit say WAAAAAGHHHH!!!! to Don.

Store is a bit small, but a good selection and great staff. The store is tucked away a bit, and parking is competing with several restaurants, so dont be discouraged by a bit of a walk. The staff here are very into their own products and are a great resource for learning more.

Best. Place. Ever! So glad this location is so close; great when youre in the middle of a project to just run to store instead of waiting on shipment.

Manager is a great guy as Ive come to expect from all of the various warhammer stores ive been to (and worked at). Definitely recommend stopping in and saying hi, playing a game, and buying some sweet sweet plastic goodness

Morgan is a credit to the company and the highest caliber individual I have met in a games store. He is very welcoming to new hobbyists and full of information about painting and other newbie questions. This is my games workshop store and Morgan is a BIG part of why I keep coming back.

Had a great time today! Everyone was friendly and encouraging. Mad props to the manager making it fun for everyone. Ill definitely be back. The parking kind of sucked but, that was the citys fault.

Ive been interested in getting into 40k for awhile. The guy working was very helpful and informative. He was able to answer all my questions with how to start getting into the hobby.

Staff is awesome here. Helped me pick out paints for minis i am working on. Even helped teach me a few tricks for painting and let me practice my dry brush on some unpainted figures. I got to try a round of warhammer and its awesome. Will be back for more paints and likely to get into warhammer more.

As you could probably tell from the earlier reviews, the greatness of this store was because of the Manager (and sole employee), Moises. He no longer works there. You can find better prices and playing conditions at several other local game stores.

Great store with great service. Not a lot of places greet you with the warmth and cheerfulness that the current manager Moises brings every day. he makes the store a warm and inviting place to spend time collecting the hobby and meeting up with people for games.Previous issues such as the smell where not due to the store but one of the neighbor store that had some pipes go bad. Everything is fixed now and i cant recommend this store enough to anyone in the hobbie.

Decent enough selection and nice staff, when theyre actually there. Been there several times during business hours and its closed without any sign or anything explaining why.

Moises, the manager is great and the regulars are very kind and helpful. Theres even unofficial painting help from this one lady whos pretty awesome at it, which is cool. They will definitely help get you into the hobby if youre on the fence and theres a league thats starting up for those who have experience.

This is a fantastic shop. Every time I am up in the Frisco area I make sure to stop by this shop. Moises is always extremely friendly and helpful and goes out of his way to meet your need. There always seems to be a lot going on when I come in, but he still makes sure the customers are taken care of. We need more people like Moises in the hobby.

Im really saddened to correct my review from before, but as the place used to be a great place to hang out and spend time with others has now become a place of great frustration and headache coming from certain members of the community. While the store manager is a great person and has the best intentions, it is often dwarfed by people making it difficult to enjoy their hobby. But due to the drama and popularity contests that constantly ensues on a daily basis whenever my friends and I are there, I am sorry to say that I will have to take my business elsewhere if things do not improve since I only see the stores own downfall of running out of business if the community does not adapt to a more positive outlook.

Absolutely a great experience in a hobby that could easily be intimidatingly vast. Moses answered all our questions with a patient and enthusiastic tone. Some of the best customer service Ive ever experienced anywhere.

Went here after finding the grapevine mills location was closed. Happy I did, Moses is amazing as manager and really helped out with my first purchase into the hobby. Even my friends who were returning into the hobby found the location and Moses to be something they havent experienced before.No smell problems whatsoever btw.

Been going here for nearly a year now. Store manager is the nicest guy, and will go out of his way to help out his customers. The people are great too, even if I dont get a game in I still stay the whole day.

When Moses worked here the store was great. He was the only reason I went. Now, as a highschool student, I can no longer afford to come here and overpay for products that can be bought for a better price elsewhere. Moses was all that kept me coming back and aside from a few purchases every now and again I will probably rarely (if ever) return.

Now Warhammer and under new management...great visit today and love what GW has done with their company!

Just to make it clear to any potential review readers, Preston Ridge Warhammer is not a general hobby shop or game/comic retailer. Theyre specifically tailored for Warhammer and Games Workshop products and little else. Though if you need high quality tools or plastic glue, they definitely have those too!That out of the way, this is THE place to go for EVERYTHING Warhammer in the Plano/Frisco area. If you need any paint, models, books, advice, anything, the store manager Morgan is happy to help any way he can. Literally the example of customer service that makes the trouble of going to a brick and mortar store twice as worth it than just shopping online.And if youre new to Warhammer or curious about the game/world, you should definitely stop in and explore the options! You can get a demo on how to paint and play for free, ask any questions you have, and get good advice from a very knowledgeable and personable manager. This is THE place to go!

Well, this is an interesting place. If youre looking for a general game store or if youre looking for one of those places where you go and do a craft for a few hours, this is also not that.If youre into Warhammer then this is their brand store, and you know what they are selling there. They certainly have a better selection of Warhammer merchandise than any other physical store around here. But to be honest there have been multiple times where I hoped to find a hard-to-find set, and they never have it. So if youre in a hurry to get a set and its a pretty common one, this is faster than waiting for their online store. Thats really the only benefit I see to it though.Caveats: I dont play Warhammer -- my sons do and other family friends do. I like the quality of the models, and I enjoy building and painting models, so I have purchased some for myself (a bunch of Eldar jet bikes and a Stormtalon gunship). So I know something of it, but I dont have a social interest in it. If I did there would be more reason for me to go to the store because they have a couple of tables set up with fancy terrain, and people gather there to play and to paint. So if that is something you are interested in the store probably has more value to you than to me.

First, let me say that every time I come here Moises is very helpful and friendly. I dont know how the previous staff were, but hes great at customer service, which is extremely important to me.That being said, this place smells TERRIBLE. I went in today and there was only 1 other customer in the store. As soon as I opened the door I was hit with a wave of funk so bad I almost turned around and walked out.Im used to being in game stores. I used to play Magic every Friday and Ive been in some incredibly great nerd stores (Reaper in Denton, Zeus in Dallas) and some horrible stores I wont name. I get that these are our havens where we can be with like-minded people. The thing I dont get is how the smell can be this bad and linger when theres no one in the store except the manager and one other customer!The only thing keeping me from spending a ton of money at this store is the smell...and that they never had White Dwarfs in stock. But mainly the smell. If it was tolerable Id be a LOT more likely to browse through the new CSM codex and probably buy it, but its hard to get sold on a product when I can barely breathe.I cannot emphasize how great Moises is. My buddy and I got an intro game there a few months back and it was great. The space is extremely tiny, but the group there that day seemed friendly and Moises did a great job of making us feel at home. But the smell is just too bad now.
